  1. So what you're saying is... Either 1. Bionicle is coming back in the near future or 2. Someone who likes Bionicle has no life. And I didn't even buy my tickets to the hype train. I stole 'em from Lego, grabbed a thing of popcorn, and sat down for the ride. I hope that the hype driver has a Vahi... It would take a while for Bionicle to come back otherwise...
  2. Mutran all the way. Although he, Icarax and Vamprah were the only Makuta which I never got as sets, he is just so like Vezon. Vezon is epic. And if Mutran hadn't existed, then I would have chosen Teridax and Antroz. Teridax because... well, you can't really compete with him a lot of the time, and Antroz because of his immunity to the all-too-common "Curse of the Makuta". I always hate villains who underestimate their enemies.
  3. Continuation. I want Velika to become a Toa and then, in a spark of perfect irony, be killed by Marendar. And if Velika takes Marendar with him into death, it would tie up two plot ends at the same time. Perfect.
  4. I think that the perfect formula for a TV show would be: 1. SET ACCURACY!!! HF has this down pretty well, but set accuracy was seriously lacking in the Miramix films. 2. Good voices. Otherwise... I'm thinking that it would be even cheesier than Power Rangers. Power Rangers is just... TOO cheesy. Way too cheesy. 3. A storyline with enough substance to be able to spawn a proper TV series, like Ninjago, instead of a pathetic under-half-hour TV special each year. 4. Again, a storyline serious enough to be good like Ninjago, but not episodic enough to be boring for the older audience. So basically, I want a Bionicle TV show, but only if Lego do it as well as they have done with Ninjago. And I won't feel awkward AT ALL going into a toy shop and buying every Bionicle set in one fell swoop. Not at all. [Edit] Yay 100th post!!!!! I'm a Toa!!!
  5. Yes, the "Heroes" would be outclassed. I mean, a Makuta could just come along and take one of them over. It wouldn't be hard. Plus a "Hero"'s Quaza core could be shattered or destroyed very easily. Examples: A Toa of Stone could destroy it; A Makuta could use Fragmentation/Shattering on it; A Makuta could disintegrate it. Even without Kanohi powers, HF is way outclassed. And if the Toa and all of the "Good Guys" in the MU and on Bara Magna joined the "Heroes" and ganged up on Teridax, they still wouldn't have a chance. Plus there are all of the Rahkshi with the aforementioned powers. So... HF, just don't even think about it. Let's crush all of the dreams of the little kids who like HF with a stomp of the MU's foot. Who's with me?
  6. I've had a thought about what a good type of plotline the new Bionicle should have- On Cartoon Network, there's an animated show called Adventure Time. On the surface, it's very random and, well, just plain silly. But underlying all of that, there are bigger clues to the state of the world which have an almost scary feel to them. First of, there is The Lich, an undead sorcerer who wants to kill everyone. There are also hints as to the fact that the Land of Ooo is really post-apocalyptic Earth, where almost every human has been wiped out in a catastrophic nuclear war, known only as the Great Mushroom War. This is kind of feel that I want Bionicle 2.0 to have: light-hearted(ish)on the surface, but deadly serious when it gets down to business.
  7. Vezon! ... Or Teridax. Or Mata Nui. 'Cause he's cool.
  8. Why would they dumb it down? If it's something close to a retelling, then the first few years will be around the same level of dumbness as 01-03, like many other people have said above. I'm looking forward to getting my friends at school into Bionicle; some of them had sets, but none of them followed the story. I reckon that one of them (Who happens to be almost a carbon copy of myself) would love the story. And I want a multiplayer MNOG. Basically, a video game version of the BZPRPG. That would be... amazing.
  9. "Or maybe we'll get to like it here. A few grass mats, some cave drawings, the heads of my enemies mounted on the wall... It could be quite pleasant." -Vezon, Federation of Fear or "Your possession of the Mask of Time may leave me inclined to stay my hand, but we both know that there are a thousand ways I could destroy you right now. And 941 of them hurt." -Makuta Teridax, Time Trap
  10. 2:29 Goosebumps! Oh wait no, no, this isn't YouTube comments. And yeah, that is probably referring to 2009 and 2010. Not Bionicle 2.0. Also, welcome to BZP, ToaTahuMata!
  11. That was my first big set. I bought him for the Ignika. As for my answer, well... VEZON AND KARDAS for the cape, and, well, it's a DRAGON. or BRUTAKA for all that shiny golllldddddd... or 2008 TAKANUVA because he's (In my opinion) the best Titan set ever released. I just can't decide. The indecision is tearing me apart.
  12. YES!!!! I AM BEING WAY TOO OPTIMISTIC HERE, BUT YES!!!! (That was intended to be shouting, by the way.)
  13. Nah man, it's gotta be Bionic Recur Unit (see the Faber Files) or Galidor *gets disowned by entire BZP community* aaanyways, what if we get a new constraction theme alongside Bionicle's return? Personally I'd like a "mecha" theme, I'd hate to see the new IFB cockpits unused. Heck, bring Exo-Force back while you're at it! (They did say there would be an emphasis on older themes in 2015, right?) It just so happens that I've built a CCBS version of the Stealth Hunter in LDD. HF parts lend themselves surprisingly well to mechs. On topic again... I'm hoping for mask packs, or at least something along those lines. By the time I got into Bionicle, the collectibles were over, and they might actually be a good idea for Lego- it would give loads more customisation options. For example, if you needed a silver Kualsi for a Toa of Iron, where would you get one, other than a mask pack? I do think that this was discussed a few pages ago though.. Oh well!
  14. AH HAH! Lewa should be blue, and Gali should be clear. YES Total colour scheme changes. I hope you're joking. I think that every original Bionicle fan would hate TLG if they did that. Plus they most likely wouldn't bother making so many pieces in transparent white. (No idea what shade transparent pieces are actually called- cue Aanchir) But a Gali using the transparent blue pieces in this years Chima constraction sets might be alright. I still like the original colour schemes from Bionicle. Also, going back to my last post, I only just remembered that there are some dark red armour pieces in a few Chima sets. Facepalm.
  15. To try to get back on topic, I'd like to see sets in darker colours, like the colour change between 03 and 04. It's not that I don't like the current shades, I just think that slightly "Greeble-ified" versions of the current CCBS armour pieces would hearken back to Bionicle and would identify it as a different theme to HF. The advantage with this would be that we could still get varied colour schemes, as Lego have shown that they are willing to make CCBS bones in colours other than black and grey. (Take Fire Lord, Witch Doctor, and Black Phantom as examples.) I also think that some new torso armour is long overdue, as next to none of the current CCBS armour pieces look good without a Hero Core. As for heads, Brain Attack heads are the most likely option I think, seeing as they are the newest CCBS non-Chima heads, and also have the mouth socket which characterised every Kanohi apart from the Glatorian Legends Ignika. With a combination of these points, if you used some of the older masks, then in theory, a year or so into Bionicle 2.0, you could feasibly make decent reproductions of a lot of canister Toa over the years.
  16. Wow, I didn't think that I'd ever see something as small as this using the Rahkshi/Vahki torso! As for the Rahi's story, well... I'm amazed! The only Bionicle sets which I have that have survived being broken up are the Axalara T9 and the Jetrax T6- mainly because they don't have many useful pieces in for a canister-sized MOCer! And those eyes... The eyes... The eyes... THE EYES! We likes the eyeses, preciousss, yes, we do.....
  17. I'd honestly want a different studio to do CGI work than either of them, one with the best of both worlds. Miramax had good models, and their movies had superior story to TLR, but the studio that did TLR had texturing and lighting down to a science. On the other hand, Miramax movies had those weird, fuzzy slow-mo scenes that, at least to me, were often terrible quality, while TLR had jerky animation at times and an awful story. Both also had a lot of noticeable clipping errors. Not that larger animation studios don't also have them, but when Jaller's entire hand passes through something noticeably, it's a little unprofessional. More Miramax films would be nice, but.......... I'm not all that keen on the character models in their films (Due to the severe absence of set accuracy in most characters), but I do have to point out that in the HF episodes (At least before IFB), the studio got an excellent balance between set accuracy and still showing mouths for characters. Also I would really like the novels (If Lego will be bringing out novels for Bionicle 2015) to be released outside of North America. I live in the UK, and as far as I know, the original ones were only released in North America, so I never got to read them. I love books. I devoured the whole Lord of The Rings and The Silmarillion within six weeks. One more thing- We really need a good name for the new Bionicle. Bionicle 2 is just... lame, and Bionicle 2015 is a bit of a mouthful. Anyone got any ideas?
  18. Erm... I hate to break this to you, Elissa, but Nuhrii/Nuri got that Kaukau on Mata Nui. The Ruru was his original mask. Plus Nuhrii's Kaukau only appeared in the MNOG II (2003). The Ruru came in 2004.
  19. Wow, I really like #2. It does sound the most feasible out of all of the explanations, and it does seem that the GBs have a habit of putting their accidents/failures/beings they don't need in or as part of the systems of the Great Spirit Robot. Maybe the Kestora were created alongside the Av-Matoran and accidentally "Got lost", seeing as during the MU's construction in theory there might have been: 1. Some kind of teleporter to the RS and/or 2. Possibly some dimensional instabilities. So with that, the Kestora might just be two groups of lost Ba-Matoran. Just a thought.
  20. A Bionicle or Hero Factory version of Lego Universe. I don't care which.
  21. I completely disagree with the title of this topic. 2008 especially is my favourite year, closely followed by 2007. Why, you may ask? Because in 2007: 1. The whole "Deep-sea underwater war with massive stakes" thing was just... amazing (Bear in mind that I was six at the time); 2. A TOA WITH WINGS!!!!!! (In fact, that particular Toa with wings was my first ever online purchase, made in 2008) And finally 3, The masks were really good. (Apart from the Zatth and the Garai). And for 2008, 1. The Phantoka Nuva had massive cannons. 2. Everyone could fly. (One of my main aims in life, other than leaving the planet at some point, is to get a fully-functional jetpack, or go skydiving.) 3. Phantoka Lewa had a cannon, a massive sword, and jetpacks. 4. The Phantoka Makuta had the Tridax pod function. I remember having a very happy Christmas 2008 turning most of family into shadow versions of themselves with the help of Antroz and Chirox. On the other hand, I have found a lot of pre-2006 torsos to be nearly incompatible with the Inika ones. The Mata/Nuva torsos are an especially good example of this, as they are very hard to incorporate into anything which isn't humanoid, and the 2006/2007 Matoran designs were arguably superior and more creative than any other Matoran build before. Just look at this: In every year before the introduction of the Inika build, Matoran had new bodies. 2001/02: Unique body and arms. 2003: Unique body, including the gear housing. 2004: Unique armour on the torso. 2006: Unique designs all round, but with only existing pieces. 2007: Re-use of Hordika armour, with Mata arms and Bohrok legs. I see the Mahtoran as the pinnacle of Matoran design. I just love those two years, 07 and 08.
  22. Even better, they could change current HF pieces to have pin or axle holes through the holes in the limbs. That would give the new limbs backwards compatibility with older HF pieces, whilst also giving Bionicle its own unique aesthetic and range of armour pieces. The limbs would be changed so that the holes would like the middle one on this:
  23. I've been thinking about this too, and assuming that it'll be next summer; does anyone have any information that suggests that it'll end up that way or another? Well, considering that a "certain picture" was made known of this early, I'd probably say they're winter sets, so probably December 2014/January 2015. Whoa. That would be amazing. I for one, would put BIONICLE's imminent return at summer sets, seeing as most likely Bionicle would eclipse HF and therefore kill it if they ever co-existed, so I would put the winter sets of 2015 as a final wave for HF, like the Stars from 2010, and then Bionicle would return in the summer. This isn't really related to the topic, but does anyone know what's going to happen to SolisMagna.com and their storyline once Bionicle arrives?
  24. You mean like Toa Lewa did all the time? In all honesty, Surge and Toa Lewa have a lot in common. They're youthful, impulsive, and a little bit reckless. Surge is a bit less of a thrill-seeker than Lewa, and has more emotional turmoil to work through, but they still fill more or less the same niche within their respective teams. Now that I think about it, I've realised that Surge is just reincarnation Lewa. Their both youthful and wisecracking, and they both have turned bad for a brief amount of time. Since when has Surge said "Wind, fly!" in any of the TV episodes?
