  1. If we're talking about mind-blowing twists that aren't the Great Spirit Robot revelation, I will have to commend the reveal of Makuta Teridax's takeover. Not far off from the common answer, I know, but if you ask me, I think that reveal was much more hard-hitting and powerful than the Great Spirit Robot reveal. I love the Great Spirit Robot reveal as much as the next guy, but knowing that the trials and tribulations that our heroes had faced and bested, time and time again, had been put into jeopardy by the main villain in one foul swoop was quite the sobering fact. Such a wonderfully executed moment. Countless Matoran, the Turaga and the Toa Nuva themselves gathered up in the Coliseum to celebrate the fulfillment of the Toa Nuva's destiny. We've done it, everyone thought. The atmosphere resonates with the sound of a familiar voice and the stars align to form the shape of the Kraahkan. What we had thought was the path to victory was the path towards the success of Teridax's plan. Brilliant. Just... brilliant. *Blows kisses towards the sky*
  2. I've always thought of the Bionicle incarnation of love as an exotic offshoot of altruism. After several thousand years of Matoran development and events such as the Matoran Civil War, the migration to Mata Nui and the destruction of the Southern Continent, I'd like to think that these Matoran would have learned to share their opinions and feelings, further developing themselves as more humanistic beings the more they strayed from their programmed task of managing the upkeep for the Great Spirit Robot. The whole Hewkii x Macku (Mackii? Hewku?) thing could be explained away pretty easily, though. If you're spending one thousand years on the lush, exotic island with the constant threat of whichever Tarakava or Nui-Rama decides to invade, human emotions are going to surface themselves. In my eyes, if the Matoran could break away from their programmed purpose and learn to express human emotions, any form of sexual love is inevitable, in my opinion. Granted, I don't want to start talking about the logistics of Matoran sexuality, but I'll just use the term for readability.
  3. This is phenomenal. I especially appreciate how Melum actually looks like something distinctive now.
  4. This is... great. I absolutely adore the attention to detail and the complexity of each of the stanzas, yet they are such simplistic encapsulations of these memorable hotheads.
  5. Intriguing. This information was especially hard-hitting to me as an Australian myself, even if this information is truly... well... true. Still, the idea of the second wave of BIONICLE sets being absent from Australian stores is absolutely unnerving to me. The exact same thing happened with the criminally underrated Ultra Agents theme last year and I sincerely hope that BIONICLE, or any other theme for that matter, will not receive the same treatment. Although I have my persistent doubts about this information's credibility, it does provide some perspective. Thanks for posting this.
  6. I would have implemented a connection point between the Uniter's masks and the Creature's heads. The whole looseness of the current head connection system is a bit too finnicky and I will admit that I was mildly disappointed when I picked up Kopaka Uniter.
  7. "I felt yes." - Me at some point

  8. Three wishes? If you say so... • A 106cm (3'6'') tall Ultimate Collector's Edition build of the Great Spirit Robot • A slew of hand-drawn style animated movies in the vein of DC's animated features, preferably handling subjects such as the Core War and Makuta Teridax's takeover • Bring back Christian Faber. Or just a really, really, really good artistic and creative director for G2.
  9. I have some moderate-sized, rectangular storage containers next to my main building table that each contain notable minifigures, miscellaneous minifigure parts, studs, cylinders and 2x2 round bricks, and miscellaneous weapon parts, i.e. rods, clips, my surprising amount of spare katanas, that sort of thing, respectively. The rest of my parts either fall into the broad categories of plates and tiles, large moulded pieces, Technic and constraction, bricks, transparent pieces, wheels, vegetation and smaller custom constructions like grated bins. It could definitely use some more aggressive categorisation, but it's good for the most part.
  10. If you ask me, it would be the best way to go if the Bionicle team wants us to take this story seriously. To elaborate on your proposal, I'd postulate that Ekimu is unknowingly suffering from a god complex. I don't think that this would cause a huge shift in the story, per se, but it would provide so much more dramatic tension to the characteristic and near-archetypal conflict between Ekimu and Makuta. Knowing that Makuta's act of forging the Mask of Ultimate Power was more of an act of unbridled anger and jealously in spite of Ekimu's potential egotistical attitude and ignorance would bring both brothers into a delicious grey area.
  11. I think you'd be right on the whole bulking-up thing. Throwing knives would seem pretty out of character for someone like Brutaka. Heck, the word brute is in his name.
  12. Mood message? Mood message.

  13. I don't think LEGO would be so concerned about that. The vast majority of Steam users who are avid LEGO fans and buy their games would be more jaded and experienced fans of the company. The discouragement of a newer line would not faze LEGO at all if we have those avid fans in the first place. I think it's more a matter of further encouraging and promoting their more recent games made in partnership with TT Games. It's not going to stop me from playing MNOG on Steam, though.
  14. Totallyaccuratepredictionsthatwilldefinitelycometofruition: • A set based around a central character will have an excessive concentration of one element that will erupt in controversy before the community reluctantly accepts the change. • A set will contain stickers and be universally hated. • The two most prominent sets representing Water and Jungle will be well-rounded and generally good. • People will complain about CCBS and the lack of traditional Technic in some capacity.
  15. Kopeke and Alphys (Alpeke) would be the perfect storm of intrepid and inquisitive hypochondriac. The Shadowed One and Thanos (no creative name found). I would really like to see the two minds of imposing, calculating and manipulative warlords collide. Roodaka and Handsome Jack (Jackdaka). I would hand over ALL of the money to witness the two charming psychopaths coming together to create an amalgamation of charm and wit that even the Fresh Prince himself could not match. Got any more? Because I haven't, for the moment at least.
  16. We all like... most... of the Bionicle games, right? They're enjoyable, artistically pleasing and capture the essence of the franchise wonderfully. A little too specific if we're talking about the games as a whole, but there's still a lot of potential with this franchise that has been mostly untouched by the current myriad of Bionicle games. So, if you were to pitch and potentially create a Bionicle game with the determination and incentive that I don't have, what would that game be?
  17. Not exactly. We still have Gali, Gaaki, Nokama, Hahli, Macku, Roodaka, Helyrx and more. They are all significant characters that played a crucial role in their separate story arcs... and they're still alive. The rest were coincidently cannon fodder.
  18. *Refer to City Builder set, minifigure pushing pram* I didn't know that they made a Billy Mays minifigure!
  19. Hark! A visitor!

  20. It's all in the varied plastic injection. Happens all too often in these cases.
  21. At this time, I'm priortising buying a copy of Sleeping Dogs and/or Oblivion, but who knows? I might stumble into buying a copy of The Complete Saga.
  22. A good point is being raised here, but I were ever to be concerned about the ethics of LEGO's production habits, I would have heard about it already. As far as I can remember, there have been absolutely no fiascos of any kind that have questioned their production habits at all. Sure, that statement might be concerning to some per se, but I don't think that a company with such a great reputation around the world for having an incredibly high standard of customer communication, toy quality and service would be the same company that would stir up controversy with their questionable factory working conditions.
  23. That's the thing with Exo-Force. Everyone loves the theme, some more so than Ninjago, but people can only really discuss what the theme did. There's no long-lasting discussion if we don't know what the theme has done. It's frankly not that significant.
