Once upon a time, there was a Pokémon named Mudbray.  “Look at this silly donkey Pokémon,” everyone said.  “How could it ever amount to anything?”

But since Mudbray had the Stamina ability, all their insults raised its Defense one stage, making it impossible to defeat.

Mudbray then evolved into Mudsdale and gained true immortality.  Any who insulted it were obliterated by Earthquakes and Mudsdale lived happily ever after.

Literally “ever after”.  Because it is scientifically impossible for a Mudsdale to die.

What actions can the various players take, though?  The goals are clear, but I'm not quite sure how they're accomplished.

Also, about how long were you thinking each round would take?  A week or two?

The evolution is actually a pretty big thing once you know how it evolves, especially considering the rest of his team at that point. And yes, a lot has been backstory, but it's not really much different than some others. And the main stuff they wanted you to especially know about, they mentioned. ^^

Three of his four Pokemon in the fight at the bottom of Mount Lanakila are happiness evolutions, including Null... Basically, Gladion managed to gain Null's trust enough that it could control its berserker state and shatter the helmet~ ^^

 

That is really cool, but I still wish Null/Silvally had appeared outside of battles.  I think it would have made the evolution more of a touching development if I had gotten to actually watch it do more than just attack my Pokemon.

I haven't checked out the lab yet, no, but thus far it feels like Null's been more of a backstory thing than anything else.  What really surprised me was that no real mention was made of its evolution--Gladion just showed up with Silvally.  I was kinda hoping for it to be more of a focal point, but looking back I guess I didn't have any particular reason to expect that, eheh...

The Law of Equivalent Exchange: In order to construct something, a set of equal piece number must first be disassembled.

I was able to evolve Wargoyle and teach her Flame Charge, so the grass trial wasn't too bad.  Took a while because Lurantis kept spamming Synthesis, but eventually the Speed boosts stacked enough that Wargoyle outsped Lurantis and took it down, and the Castform helping it was little more than an annoyance.

Podzilla actually just evolved, and man, I'm loving First Impression.  Yet to get her into a serious battle, but I'm really looking forward to seeing her tear someone apart.  Boko and Onepu have evolved too, and I've made it to Ula'ula, so I should be able to catch that Sandslash to (nearly) complete my team soon after all!

Really the only choice is Ditto.  Or something similar, such as Krakha.  That way you can become any character for any amount of time you want before switching to a new one, and get all their powers to boot.  You'd get to ask yourself this question every day rather than just once.  It's the ultimate workaround.

Hmmm, taking a look at the availability, yeah, I could get it on PSN or get the old PlayStation discs since I still have my PS2.  Next step is to look into how cheap they are...
