  1. Where I live, nobody recognizes Daylight Savings Time as anything to take note of. Seriously, none of the stores or public places does the whole "Add an hour/remove and hour," so I neither gain an extra hour of sleep or lose it unless I choose to go to bed earlier or later than usual. I'm glad though, I'd be even more confused in real life than I already am if I had to jump back and forth between time, regardless of how big or small the jump is. :P
  2. I would suggest checking out GoodWill for a lot of those items. I've seen suspenders and other unusual things there for under $5 when they’re usually a lot more at other stores. Granted, it may take a couple of trips over some span of time, and it seems that, generally, you either have really good days and can find everything you need or really bad days and you can't find anything, but it's usually worth it in the long run and can save a good bit of money. It's where I go when I need to piece together a costume.

Yeah, I'm definitely checking them out.

    Also thinking ebay.

  3. ...And yet, I feel as though I just lost...

A friend of mine has a brilliant necklace that says "I just lost the game" that she'll wear every now and then. It’s really most annoying, but amusing at the same time.

  4. Could I wear a dress instead? I don't think a tux would look right on me... :P

Good luck on your tests (And project, despite its "absurdity")

Let me know if the funeral is cancelled if you survive. (A mere technicality, burying a dead guy who isn't really dead, but some people just have issues with that ;) )

  5. I'd love to, except I've already had 2 accounts get mysteriously eaten. (Yes, I'm serious, they were eaten. In both cases, the password I had ALWAYS used suddenly stopped working, and when I tried to get a temporary password sent to me via the Powers that Be, they say they have no records of my character's existence) Both times were after I had spent countless hours leveling up a character, and so I kinda got frustrated and decided that it wasn't worth starting over AGAIN after all the time I had used on two now very dead characters.

If I think about joining again, I'll look you up, but don't count on it happening anytime soon.

  6. Isn't that the truth! Seriously, it's surprising what some people will ask when they find out you're homeschooled...Kinda makes me wonder what some people were thinking in the first place with some of the funnier and more outlandish questions I've been asked.

Have you been asked the "So, are you being taught math/English/[insert common subject]" question? I've been tempted many times to answer with something totally ridiculous just to see how they would react. :P

  7. It's really not to bad, as long as you keep a mental note on all the details. What's fun is treating it as if it were the diary of your great-great-grandfather that you just found in the attic. It's written as if it's historical compilation of events, so it's pretty easy to pretend it's one. :P Just something to play with
  8. *glances at my own post count* ...It's not a contest...Right? :P

Seriously though, I don't understand how you and some of the other members are able to do it. 110 posts in ONE night?! How do you have enough time to find all these different places to post and have a real life as well? :P

  9. It would mean no spring musicals from the home school theatre group! 0.0

On a serious note, life would be a lot less colorful and beautiful. Especially if you expand music from what we as people have composed to that of the songs of nature itself. Music, in all its forms, has the amazing ability to touch ones emotions and mind. It is such an intricate part of most every culture that to remove it would almost be like removing a part of a society's identity. It is so interconnected with our lives that it would actually be quite challenging to go a single day without hearing ANY music at all. (It would at least mean avoiding TV, movies, radio, malls, stores, streets, cars, etc)

Interesting thought VF. An interesting thought to ponder.

  10.

I'd say they were both being rude, but if you were to compare the two, I think that the guy who yelled was the ruder of the two. Depending on how obnoxiously loud the music was you can generally tune something like that out. However, if someone starts yelling at the person, EVERYone is disturbed from what they were doing, not just those who are closest to Mr. Headphones. (Not to mention Mr. Headphones either feels embarrassed, confused, or insulted.) On the other hand, if Mr. Yells-a-lot and discreetly ask Mr. Headphones to turn the volume down, that would be a different story.

So, now you have my two cents.

  11. Yay! I'm so excited! I would have posted in this earlier, but I've been miserably sick the last few days and also a little distracted from my usual web surfing by a new computer game I got...

Anyways, congrats to everyone! It was really neat seeing everyone's different interpretation and perspective of the different characters.

  12. Meh, I hate to say this, but I'd like an extension as well. I know you said that you would extend the deadline, but I just thought I'd ask...Could it possibly be extended until sometime after the 11th of this month? I'm going to be out of town for a competition so I won't be able to work on my entry much before or during the trip. (Side note: I would have just about been done with it by now, except mom's computer--that has the scanner hooked up and all--died and refuses to be fixed and dad hasn't had time to move the scanner to another computer yet.)

    So yeah, sorry to be a participant in the Extension Party, but there were a few obstacles I couldn't avoid. ^.^;

  13. Yep, I have a blog, I got it...Two years ago(?)... When they gave everyone a week of Premier abilities to celebrate BZP's anniversary. I, obviously, can only mess with it during the anniversary week.

And yes, it’s really dark, unlike the first one which only had a dark, underlying theme. But the storyline, cinematography, and action were really good. (At least in my opinion) I hope you guys can see it sometime soon.
