  1. The fact that the 1.0 and 3.0 Heroes have the same helmets...
  2. I'll pay one penny more than whatever that guy offers.
  3. I knew someone was going to bring this up, but if the split in the universes predates the Great Beings, then it basically predates "Bionicle" and essentially doesn't count as an alternate universe. It's just a totally different universe at that point.
  4. No it wouldn't. Takanuva just used his timey-wimey space magic to teleport around, whether it was through the Olmak or whatever the Spectral Mask had, which was probably just a hallucination. Not the main system teleporter.
  5. Well, the Story Team were forced to work with what they were given. The Set Designers didn't make the Stars with any story in mind whatsoever, they just made chibi versions of iconic characters throughout the years. It kinda sucks, but that's the only reason they did it. If they made Tahu Star based on the Nuva version, this whole mess would have been avoided.
  6. It wasn't the interior of the Red Star. But it should have been.
  7. Pocket Dimensions were all created for a certain reason, though. Like the Field of Shadows to contain Zivon or the Makuta Hive in Karda Nui. So if it's all contained in a pocket dimension, who made it and why? More importantly, what is the purpose of trying to connect G1 and G2? I don't see how it would benefit either of the continuities.
  8. Alternate universes, as established in G1, follow a Constants and Variables rule where they always have more in common than they have differences, with those differences always stemming from different, history-changing decisions that certain characters made. G2 has barely nothing in common with G1 at all, besides reusing some names and ideas. The entire worldbuilding is completely different from the ground up, especially since it relies on true magic instead of advanced technology, for starters. There's no Spherus Magna, no Great Beings, no GSR. It can't be a parallel universe if there's hardly no parallels.
  9. If you look at some of the 2016 concept art, there's some very clear Mesoamerican influence.
  10. Market testing showed that little kids liked the darker colors more.
  11. Nope. The idea of Antidermis wasn't even close to being conceived at this point, and Early Installment Weirdness was in full-effect. Mata Nui and Makuta were both considered Great Beings at the time, for example. Furthermore, Antidermis isn't exactly that hard to destroy anyway. It can be frozen, burned, or dissipated. It also wasn't a puppet or anything, that was the man himself.
  12. Since when do Makuta need to breath? It's not like they were devolved like Icarax.
  13. The Toa argued and bickered about all kinds of things throughout their earlier adventures. While it's never directly specified, it was probably just yet another petty disagreement.
  14. You could only do this while activating the power for yourself, so unless you create a bubble of water around your own head, it's extremely useless.
  15. It'd be extremely difficult to sum up a decade's worth of information in a concise format. Too bad there's no way to read old threads. I want to see that MOC that your signature is referencing. 1 - Greg got laid off by Lego, and now he's working on an original, non-Bionicle story that has some previews posted on the TTV forums. 2 - On the TTV Forums, there have been a lot of Canonization Contests for characters that never had sets, like the rest of the Toa Hagah. Just like the creation of the Universe, this has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. 3 - Bionicle had a reboot in 2015 that was supposed to last at least three years, but it got cancelled early after two. 4 - 3D Printers have been allowing fans to create custom masks and other parts, and many online shops for them have popped up. 5 - There's a lot of fan-made Bionicle content being made, from revamps of Bionicle Heroes, to animated series like The Mangai Project, to tabletop RPGs like Doronai Nui. 6 - Pic Related is what Lego gave us to commemorate Bionicle's legacy on their 90th Anniversary.
  16. Greg confirmed that Takua was the only Av-Matoran in that population. More importantly, just because a Matoran is a little different than the norm, doesn't mean they MUST be a different type. I find this viewpoint problematic.
  17. Canonically it only works in water and water-like substances like liquid protodermis. But many people have the headcanon that it allows you to breath in almost any environment besides a vacuum.
  18. Bionicle had been in the works for years before Greg got involved.
  19. Canonically, yes, but in your original idea you weren't going to be following canon anyway, so just simplify things to make it more accessible to players unfamiliar with Bionicle. You can get really creative with all the potential enemies and traps along the way to Makuta.
