  1. The popup is still a little buggy on the blogs, is it not working for you on the forums?

Not sure, haven't used it really on the forums yet. Will try it there tonight.

I know the popup never works for me when I middle-click (the click that I tend to use to open things in a new tab), except for the Cancel button.

Neither button works for me. :P

  2. I find that the characters have a certain charm. It's calm, relaxing. Great time waster. It has all the mini-gratifications of a casual game with none of the friend-bothering.

Also, you can wear a dress as a dude and the game is totally cool with that.

Personal suggestion here Necro, if you're looking for a calm and relaxing time waster that you would like, I'd recommend Thomas Was Alone or Reus. TWA's soundtrack is amazingly soothing and Reus is very much a slow-paced and relaxed game. Both have their own style of wit and charm and probably would work pretty well with you.

Eh, I've just always stuck to 8-bit games for ways to relax/kill time. The Gameboy and NES had addicting timesinks like no other.

  3. You already explained the fun parts.

If you don't find it fun... then this is not really your type of game, I guess? Most of the people I know like it because it isn't a continuing installment of the popular FPS "John Marineface fights Nazis and Aliens in Greyscale McBrownworld".

I don't know, I just...how is paying a mortgage so you can get a bigger house and pay off the mortgage on it fun? I don't get it. If you want a change of pace from Call of Battlefield 2142 Effect 3: Dead Ops, there's a lot of stuff that has more things to do, or has more of a story. There has to be more to it than just "I like it because it's not a generic FPS" that I'm missing.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, but I just don't get it.

  4. WELL THEY SHOULD! SABRE'S NOT A TRUE WEAPON, ANYWAY!

epee's simpler. come to my side, I have cookies. c:

    AAAGFAHSASAH!

Yeah but my grandmother bought me a bunch of fencing stuff when I was really into it when I was 14, including a very nice sabre, so I've kind of stuck with it because of that since that's like a thousand cookies in cashmoney value

  5. Hey man, I ain't weaponist, some of my best friends fence sabre!

Also so do I on occasion. It's fun, but I wouldn't take it up full time.

    You're a rabid anti-Sabite!

Oh sure, it starts with a few jokes, and some slurs - "Hey, sabie!" - next thing you know, you're saying they should have their own leagues!

nah but seriously I just fenced as a hobby and just picked saber because it seemed simpler and more fun, which appealed as a quick hobby

  6. Xaeraz, on , said:

Darn. I was hoping for Epee, but nope.

    Foil.

    Sigh.

    I'm just glad he wasn't a sabreist.

Sabre fencing is like half of a Michael Bay movie. It's loud and flashy, but when you look back, you have to ask yourself, "That was it?"

You both suck, did you know that?

  7. Why is your computer in the shop?

A few keys on the keyboard stopped responding. Popped the caps off and cleaned them out, but most of the dead keys were still dead, so I figured it was a hardware problem. Covered by warranty, fortunately.

If they tore the cable, they're paying for it, right?

Yup, so I at least won't pay for it.

  8. As far as I know, yes. And like I said, it only effects one of the endings, so if that's not the ending you get then it won't make a difference anyways. I think you also need maxed-out reputation, but if you don't have that by now it's not like multiplayer would help anyways.

Full reputation is also a go, so that's not a concern. I'm pretty sure I've more or less done all I can at this point.

  9. If I'm not mistaken, past 3000 or so the only effect of EMS is whether or not a certain bonus scene plays for one of the endings. If I'm not mistaken, you should still be able to get this scene with 4000 EMS IF you've been doing something in particular the entire game, namely

Charming or Intimidating the Illusive Man at every possible point. You should have done it on Mars, Thessia, and Chronos Station.

I have indeed been doing that.

I learned my lesson from not doing that to Saren on the Renegon but doing it on the Paragade that if you can seemingly-inconsequentially charm or intimidate someone, it probably has long-term benefits you need.

So then the lost benefits from those 1,000 EMS is negligible?
