I'm going to have to give this a shot - usually when I grab for a seventh chord, it's a minor seventh, I'm tempted to see what a song of nothing but major seventh chords sounds like.

I'd be fine with accepting that, if it weren't for the fact that each week I can count three or four sketches that deserve a shot at being recurring sketches, but are put by the wayside for stuff that is the described repetition in the entry.

Moreover, SNL's a cultural shorthand it's so massive, I guarantee you there are plenty of budding comedy writers looking for a job who'd happily work for Lorne Michaels for little pay. Probably even for free. If they're understaffed when it comes to writing staff and have to recycle material, especially subpar material, there's no real reason they can't bring in new writers to at least help.
