Not sure if anyone has noticed this yet, but it looks like the alphabet was also used in the BIONICLE mobile game that came out a while ago.

Connecting The Yesterday Quest and The Powers That Be
that guy replied to Infrared's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
It's an interesting theory. I'd have to go back and re-read the serials to talk specifics, but I thought I'd just point out that at the time of writing those last serials, Greg had very few character names left he could legally use. I don't think he would have used up two of them on one character, but I guess it is possible. -
BIONICLE had a lot to do with making me love complex and interesting stories, so it's very nostalgic to me. I don't have space in my apartment for any sets, but my Takanuva Stars has had a place in every apartment I've lived in.

Someone did ask and they said no. IIRC it was a pretty boilerplate legal response. Maybe GregF asked for us? I don't remember what the scenario was exactly, but it was established pretty early on that Lego wasn't OK with the release of the game. If you want I can probably dig up a link. can you dig a link? because when this happened, will make a big difference in this conversationThere were a number of people who sent e-mails and such to LEGO asking about the game. Some were immediately told that it would be flat-out illegal, while others stated that they'd forward the request to people higher-up. As far as I know, no one got a definitive reply from one of the higher-up people, and keep in mind that those who said no were just customer service reps who had likely never even heard of LoMN before and just heard "make LEGO game free to download." Bioran23 actually contacted Lego's legal department. This was their response:

1749 Aquanaut Paravane released in 1996. Makes me feel pretty old compared to some of these other ones.

Official Favorite/Least Favorite Book Topic

Yet another vote for Time Trap from this one, though I did have a tough time deciding between that and Downfall. -
Kopaka Mata. He was so cool (pun intended).

Cahdok and Gahdok, along with Muaka and Kane Ra. I got them all on eBay a few years ago pretty cheap and am still very happy about it.

Do You Ever Say A Characters Name Differently?
that guy replied to -Blank-'s topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
I used to say Lewa wrong until I saw MoL. Nine year old TG also couldn't tell the difference between Makuta, Muaka, and Matau when Bionicle first came out, which made him a very confused child. -
You can order replacement parts from Lego if the sets aren't too old. They even let you do it online now (http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/replacementparts/default.aspx).

This is very good news, thanks Erebus. Hopefully this license training thing will give Greg a little more freedom when talking to fans.

It could technically work as a high budget broadway production, the way they do sets and effects now could definitely make it look like they were using elemental powers.

The head is very well done, and the cores give it a nice scaly look. Great MOC overall.

Most Inelegant Part Of The Story?
that guy replied to Aedai Rivin's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
I didn't think the plot of the third movie really fit in with everything else. Vakama wasn't exactly the best choice for the one to betray them, in my opinion, and he never really had strong motives for doing so.- 113 replies

It's always regrettable when someone who has done so much for a franchise like BIONICLE has to leave, especially when the majority of people who like BIONICLE will never know who she is. Best wishes and good luck to Fiona in the future.

This is great news . Congrats and good luck!

Sounds awesome, I can't wait and I'm really looking forward to next year.
-
The new house sounds pretty rad, congrats with that.

Brilliant idea! I'll do that from now on. How to spread the news, though? I usually can't come up with too many questions at a time, and I check the OGD constantly, so most of my questions are answered before I even send them. Take what you can, Give nothin back! Tell every Premier Member you know of this idea and tell them to blog about it. I'll be doing that soon. -CF Heh, I already do that... Anyways, thanks Greg and personally I'm in no rush to get my answers back, so take as long as you want. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we're just happy that you take the time to answer our questions at all.
-
Thanks for this Greg. Does this mean that if we folded up our entry picture we lost? I had to fold mine up to fit it in the envelope, so that'll be a bit annoying if that's why I lose.

*looks at Dark Hunters* Riiiiight. We can only hope for a Krakua-esque model, but, of course, Makuta-like. ---- ~|ET|~ Well, there were a lot of Dark Hunters, and some of them were very good. Gatherer, Ancient, Tyrant and Eliminator come to mind. Since there can only be one Miserix (right? ), then it's more likely to be good. I only wish they had actually said in the contest description that it would be Miserix so that people would enter with him in mind. But then people that didn't have internet connection or something wouldn't get to win because they wouldn't know who he was...
-
Ugh my essay is no good now...and my model has a shadow leech, so that won't make sense. Oh, and two questions about this: have the winners been chosen yet and is it possible that we'll see later winners (like Silence and those DHs)?
-
Interesting...a Makuta that sorta has a code of honor.
-
Oh cool, I can't wait... Looks like I'm gonna have to get Spiriah after all.
