  1. "A new Spirit from Wraith is online: Dubstep Music Master: X-Void. I also updated Exo’s Desk, mainly with profiles for Nidovikk and Leanga." Huh, and right when I finish a spirit based on choral music....maybe I should ask Wraith if I could use the "Music Master" name.
  2. Wow, you're right...maybe she's finally stabalizing? I guess Tsundere-dash is officially a thing at this point, and it is cute how she obviously loves Tank but is still self-conscious about looking "mushy". It is nice to see Spike's love of baking return, I had begun to wonder if the story team had forgotten about his talents after "Spike at your Service". Also, any episode with extended Gummy scenes is good in my book. Still, there's one thing that's bugging me: It's possible that she heard about it from a schoolbook or something like that. It would have to be a really recent one, since nobody except Celestia and Luna remembered it until S3. Ya, if it was in a book Twilight would have read about it already. ;-)

  4. While the idea of the Subspace Emissary was great, I think the execution left something to be desired. I wish that they'd used more enemies from existing universes rather than creating Subspace enemies (i.e. Shy Guys, Bulborbs, Zebesians, Keese, Deku Scrubs, etc.), especially since many of the Subspace enemies functioned similarly to existing enemies. It seems like the development team just got lazy with their research and cobbled something together in order to release on time. Also, while I loved the idea of playable characters teaming up, it kind of defeats the purpose if only one character is present in-game at a time. I would have rather had both characters on the screen at the same time and be able to switch between controlling them directly and letting a CPU take over. I know that approach would have its own problems, but at least it would be more aesthetically pleasing.
  5. Hehe, I can totally relate to the dynamic between Aile and Zempest. I've actually been both the tsundere and the overly affectionate one at different times. You know, I think that the references to "tsuntsun" and "deredere" would seem out of place if it weren't for Aile's already hyperactive personality. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the incident with Norscu is the reason that Aile prefers not to intervene unless she absolutely has to.
  6. Yeah...it seems that a lot of video game companies are too eager to jump on the 3D bandwagon. I kind of miss games like the early Golden Sun and Fire Emblem games, where content was more important than graphics. It's still too early to call, but I think that Gamefreak is pretty much recycling Pokemon designs to show off their new game engine.
  7. I've got two lists: Correlation in terms of personality: Tahu-RD (brash, abrasive personality, yet also a decent leader ("Hurricane Fluttershy"))Lewa-Pinkie Pie (funny and hyperactive, there's even a neat comparison between infected Lewa and Pinkamina)Pohatu-AJ (athleticism)Twilight-Kopaka (intelligence)Gali-Rarity (tough decision here, chose Rares because she is the most "feminine", although this feels like a cop-out)Onua-Flutters (introverted, yet also very compassionate) Correlation between the Mane 6 and Bionicle elements Lightning-RD (pretty obvious choice, given there's a picture of it on her flank)Air-Flutters (Pegasi have the closest thing to Air "elemental powers" in FiM, and the Toa and Matoran of Air also tend to have a connection with Rahi)Jungle-Applejack (best I could come up with...harvesting powers go?)Psionics-Twilight and Pinkie (Twilight has the powers and intelligence associated with Psionics, and Pinkie's "Pinkie Sense" seems to fall into this category)Earth-Rarity (gem finding spell, enough said)
  8. While I didn't care for the episode's premise (Spike was much more competent in past seasons), I absolutely loved the way they expanded on the idea of the Timberwolves. Also, the sly nod toward self-insertion Mary Sue fanfiction was pretty funny. Since the fusion incorporated new material, I guess you could classify the Timberwolves as some type of golem or nature spirit. It does make me wonder if the real Timberwolves are actually invisible and intangible, and therefore have to create bodies for themselves (although that does make the concept of them "eating" Spike rather ridiculous). As usual with developments like this, I can't wait to see how fanfiction writers interpret it.
  9. Applejack actually says specifically in "Applebuck Season" that "they were just here for the Apple Family reunion." So, yeah, assuming the writers are trying to be consistent (doubtful) 100 moons = whatever time has elapsed between now and Twilight's arrival... which I doubt is 8 years. But it's a kids' show- who needs continuity! True, they probably chose the term "moons" so that they could give some sense of regularity without giving a specific date.
  10. Okay, Mahi trail: I just saw the Exo Vahki archetype in the spirit index, and I have to say that it's an impressive design. I love how most of them are fairly viable on their own, but gain new techniques in a fusion chain. Also, I guess we can add "Perfect Dispel" and "Fatal Wound" to the list of methods to kill Cain. Alright, back to the future Kako. It's good to see that the Element Lords can still put up a fight against Kytan, although it seems that they might be trying harder in order to give Kytan a challenge. Also, I'm geeking out over the additional background for Nuvakuta and Zagrin, as well as the implication that they could actually become stronger than the original Element Lords.
  11. I think we actually saw a lot of growth from Dash in this episode. The contrast between her and Lightning Dust showed that, even though Dash is the most reckless of the Mane 6, she can recognize her limits and the consequences of her actions. Also, the scene where she was willing to relinquish her dream to keep her friends safe was very potent emotionally. It kind of reminded me of the scene with the Shadowbolts, and it's a nice way to bring Dash back to her roots. As High Voltage mentioned, Lightning Dust does seem to be Rainbow Dash's equivalent of Trixie. I hope she appears again, possibly as a competitor in a race or flight show. @Rarity: Could you elaborate on that a bit, perhaps give some examples of how Pinkie and Rarity's personalities have changed this season?
  12. I didn't really grow up with Superheroes, so that quote just passed way over my head. Truer words have never been spoken. Honestly, trolls don't make me angry; they make me want to help them.
  13. Crystals make you do weird things, bro. Especially the shiny ones.
  14. Redundant HM moves. (*Goldeen learned Dive!* My fish can now swim. Thanks, game. )
