Well, since I arranged for 2 survivors, and there were 3 loyal people holding the line, Mordin struck out since he was the weakest. Morinth and Jacob are my only crew members.

To be fair, Winterhold is hardly a city. It's a small village with like 3 houses. The only reason it's a hold is because of the college of Winterhold. As long as you don't actually join the college, there's not much to do there.

Haha, thanks all the same Sumiki.

@Bunda I'm convinced the glitches are a result of my xbox trying not to throw up at the sight of Mufasa.
@Haz I actually got stuck on top of where Mordin was at first. I couldn't move anywhere except on the small desk. Somehow I was able to move forward, onto the rail, and back onto the ground. But then Mordin and Samara jumped up instead. Also, in my main playthrough, in the part of the suicide mission with the moving platforms, the last platform wasn't close enough and had a small gap and it was higher. Somehow Tali and Legion teleported up there, but I fell down and died.

So glad highschool is almost done. Can't wait.
Unfortunately I got a bio exam later today. Ugh.

Haha, glad to see I'm not the only one replaying mass effect in excitement for the third game.
This time around for my main character, I did the Shadow Broker DLC before the suicide mission since I was planning on cheating on Liara with Tali (On my old profile I let Tali down gently and stayed loyal). Unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to romance them both because I feared the repercussions in Mass effect 3. I spent a long time wondering who I liked more and what I was going to do. I finally chose to cheat on her and face the consequences, but when I was wrapping up the Shadow Broker DLC, Liara told me herself that she didn't want to put pressure on me since it had been two years, and I told her we'd just be friends.
So now I get to romance Tali. I liked them both about the same personality wise, but Tali does have the whole "not knowing her face" thing in her favor. I'm hoping she's more alien looking though. Asari look pretty human to me, and though I'm in the minority, I would rather romance an alien looking alien over a human looking one. I'd romance Garrus with my ugly Shep, but he's gonna be in the ME3 squad, so he has to die.
Besides, now I get to romance Jacob, hands down the creepiest romance in the game. Perfect for Mufasa Shepard.

I can understand that. The only reason I started another character is because before my xbox was stolen I had almost done all the main quests with my Argonian, so I started a new one. After it was stolen, I really wanted to continue doing both, so now almost every time I start playing Skyrim, I switch characters.

Who said anything about a single questline? For this character just have him/her not do the thieves guild. Then with your next character, make it a completely different play style (I dunno, maybe very good at archery or uses a warhammer or something) and this character does do the quest line. This is sort of what I did with my Argonian dual wielding warrior who uses conjuration. I also have my shield wielding/pure mage high elf.
Though I have to admit, I'm a completionist as well. My Argonian has already joined/finished all the guilds and factions, but that's okay with me since he's a wild card.
And really, for the most part the thieves guild aren't terrible people. Just don't do the small quests Vex or that other guy gives you where you just steal random things from random people.

If you have problems with the thieves guild, just wait until you join the dark brotherhood.
Though of course, there's a quest where you can fail the dark brotherhood and destroy it instead, but the gameplay and loot is way better if you join it.
And if you're really having trouble doing a quest, why don't you just make a new character?

Taka, it is your god given right to brag. You made an amazing comic that made it's way to the front page.
Once again, congratulations!

I feel bad for you Haz, I really do. Here's what happens when you do what Ysolda tells you in the drunk quest:
To actually get the ring back, you travel to a hut filled with dead animal heads on pikes and a Hagraven named Moira in the middle. When you approach, she says something along the lines of, "Darling, you've finally come back. I've been waiting for your return so that we can consumate our love," in her gross, deep, serpentine, raspy Hagraven voice.
Your character responds, "Um, I'm going to have to ask for that ring back." And the Hagraven says, "What?! You're leaving me for that hussy Esmeralda with the black feathers, aren't you? Well I won't let her have you!" And then she attacks with melee only.

I'm tellin' ya Haz, conjuration is one of the best schools of magic. Once you have the summon dremora spell, you're pretty much unstoppable. The thrall spells are pretty sweet too since you can have a permanent summoned companion; two if you have the right perk.
Also, for the drinking quest, when talking to a woman, there's an option to skip her part of the quest with persuade, intimidate and bribe options. Don't do them. Just do what she asks. Trust me.

Kind of disappointed that you skipped the Rorikstead part of the drunk quest. When you get there, you discover that you've sold someone's goat to a giant and you need to get it back.
It's a pretty funny quest.

I did the exact same thing you did in the prison. At first I did everything he said and when you escape. all the prisoners get into forsworn outfits and start killing anybody in the streets. I was all like "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" so I reloaded a save and killed everybody in there. Not to mention I got a sweet ring that helps with smithing.
And yes, I'm currently using the lover's stone as well. It's one of the most useful along with the steed stone in my opinion.
I had to fight an ancient dragon to get to it though. T_T

Beast mode you say?
WAAAZPINATOR, TERRORIZE!
Protip: if you need to kill a giant, turn into a werewolf and use a double power attack. It sends them flying backwards like a fus ro dah and you can do it very quickly since werewolf stamina regenerates very quickly. I kill giants so quickly like that.

I may support the imperials, but I can't stand those guys with the prisoners. They're all like "OFFICIAL BUSINESS, OUTTA THE WAY". I kill the imperials, and then kill the prisoners as well. I'm such a nice guy.

There is a spell called soul trap which affects the target for 60 seconds.

Here's a tip: Get good at enchanting. For me, whenever I find something with an enchantment on it, I disenchant it and get a level up. If you really want to level it up fast, find the shrine of Azura and finish that quest. For finishing that quest you have a choice of either Azura's star or the black star. Azura's star is the "good" choice I guess, but it doesn't matter as far as I know. It's not as good as the black star because the black star can get human souls as well as animal souls whereas Azura's star can only get animal souls. ANYWAY, these are grand soul gems that never break, and to get your enchantment up quickly, I would suggest enchanting a sword with soul trap and then you'll have infinite soul gems for it and each time you recharge the sword, your level will go up some more.
Once you have a high level in enchating, you can get the same bonus that you have for your mage robes and put it on any armor. Technically you can do that right now, but because of your lower level, the enchantment will not be as powerful.

Well, I know that hagraven is part of a quest. And yes, it was very hard for me as well. Without my flame atronach serving as a distraction, I would have never beat it at that early level.
And I know from experience playing a mostly mage character is harder. I have two playthroughs right now: My main is an Argonian warrior dual wielding swords that is also very good at conjuration.
I also have a high elf mage who uses all types of magic (mostly destruction and conjuration though), but my character also uses a shield. Magic plus shield is a cool combo in my opinion. For the first bit of the game being a mage was easy. After that it starts being quite the challenge.
What type of armor are you using? And is it heavy or light?

But then you can carry basically double what you normally can.

Ma'iq knows many things...
Anyway, if you like magic, you should buy some conjuration spells from the jarl's wizard in whiterun. They have saved me many times over in fights. He also sells fireball spells and stuff if your destruction is high enough.
Also, for extra help, you should use a companion. If you've killed your first dragon, then you should go find Lydia in dragonsreach after talking to the jarl.

Well, for the worst playthrough ever, Morinth is a killer who will probably continue murdering people once she leaves my crew. That's pretty bad. And I need Jacob alive because I want to see what happens if I cheat on Liara with someone who's still living.
