  1. Wow, this is actually cool! I mean, I'll have to work on my photography skills, but I'm looking forward to entering
  2. I feel like most of us have gotten used to the pain of steeping on a Lego brick now, hehe, but cool article nonetheless!
  3. I sent in the Nuju Hordika, hehe And your MOCs are awesome! As long as you're fine with them then everybody else should be, too they look pretty cool, IMO
  4. It would be interesting to see a different type of entry for each mask, too, as then people could enter for each one with their own skills beyond building Although due to the hashtag #BionicleMaskHunt I'm assuming it will be a scavenger hunt of some sort
  5. Haha, just saw this and was about to send over a link! I'm very excited to see what this contest is going to be like ((and hopefully will have a chance at winning any of the Golden Masks, hehe ))
  6. Something really weird happened in the middle of this sentence and I'm not sure what. But anyhow, I agree that having a contest with different size classes would be cool. The only issue is that you'd need polls and prizes for each category, which could be more expensive and time-consuming than just putting all MOCs in a single contest pool. Autocorrect isn't my friend (don't use BZP on mobile, kids) Anyways, you understood the gist of what I was saying, so that's good I just meant that there should be a bit of wiggle room between the categories, as it is ahrd to purely define Matoran/Toa/Titan beyond small, medium, and large, as some MOCs do blur the lines And I think that the mods could handle the polls well if there were different submission areas for each category, and prizing wouldn't be too hard, as I've seen other websites do around the same concept. However, that being said, I'd hate to give the mods any extra work, they're already busy with other things, hehe
  7. I'm excited to see the finished product. While I haven't had time to watch most of Capaldi's Doctor (school kills when you have two jobs), I would hazard a guess that the set will include him, possibly Clara, more than likely a Dalek/Cyberman, and obviously the TARDIS
  8. While it shouldn't be too hard for some of the more skilled 3D-designers to make them, the only downsides I can see are a) copyright issues due to the trademarked mask designs (if there is one) and b) 3D printer colours might not be the exact ones needed (since Lego has distinct dye for their pieces)
  9. What if contests were separated into MOC size? I mean, it's hard to ever imagine a fantastic Matoran sized MOC ever winning against a Titan one, so why not put in sizes categories? Matoran (Protector now, I guess), Toa, and Titan? Obviously there'd have tin ev ime wiggle R om between the categories, but given overall size and guessed piece count this could possibly be implemented
  10. From what I've heard, the privacy of the polls is sometimes messed up when the first post is edited, but it looks like it has been fixed now. If you ever see it again though make sure to use the report button to let the mods know as soon as possible, they won't be mad hehe
  11. Hard to choose because the entries are fantastic, so I nulled best of luck to everybody in the contest, though, I can't wait to see which entry takes the cake
  12. Happy Birthday! Hope it is an enjoyable one
  13. This was unintentional and should be fixed. The system to hide votes is a little touchy, and tends to reset itself if you edit the first post of the topic (to fix a thumbnail, for instance).Ok, thanks for the info! I appreciate the anonymity of the polls, but I feel like everybody saying their votes is kinda defeating that purpose... Is this common in BBC polls? Some people share which entry they voted for in BZPower contest polls, but there's no pressure to share if you don't want to. I can guarantee you that a lot of people just vote without sharing who they voted for. But posting to show your support for another builder's entry can sometimes really make them very happy. In the same vein it can be really disheartening to some who may have less than popular entries... But I can understand showing support, it makes sense to cheer on the entry you voted for, you wouldn't expect people at a sports event to stay silent when supporting their team

  15. Does anybody know what's going on with the polls? Some are private, some public. Not that it is a major concern, just wanting to make sure it is all working as intended
  16. I won't be there but my MOC will be! People who are going, be sure to take some awesome pics of the displays! Wish I could go, but alas, can only afford one major convention a year (and Anime North always draws me in, hehe)
  17. Are these topics sorted out by actual Chinese Zodiac birth year? If not it's just great coincidence that my MOC landed in the year of the dog
  18. I've gotta say, I'm loving the recent trend in creating masks using outlets like Shapeways, it's a very interesting technique. I might have to buy that Miru in the Frosted Ultra Detail, I think it would look great like that. Excellent work!
  19. While the color scheme caught me off guard at first, it kind of looks like some of his limbs are rusting a away. Which, doubled with the noble mask, it seems like this is some form of Alternate Nuju who got stuck between transformations Not sure if that is what you're going for, though
  20. Very nice! I love the usage of parts here. Especially with the four arms, it makes Lewa look like he would be a good match up against Skull Slicer And the tiny protector is a nice addition
  21. Just a heads up, if you want the topic closed use the 'report' button on the first post
  22. Wait, where is that information coming from? If that's the case why does everyone have flat dark gold kraahkan while so few seem to have pearl gold ones? I have at least 3+ of the darker ones right now and have sold several more in the past. I've only ever seen one PLG one and it took a lot of work to track down. So I'm not sure we can count the pearl gold mask as more common personally I believe the warm gold in this case is referring to the pearl gold, just different wording The information about the flat dark gold being the more common is correct, and the warm/pearl gold is the rarer of the two (being sent out in replacement orders and in later prints of the set)
  23. It's been said before and it apparenty has to be said again: have faith in our mods! We can't expect them to be at our beck and call every second of the day, and any personal matters that may be affecting their time on the forums is certainly none of our business We all just need to take a breather and relax; don't sweat the small stuff, it's just a contest
  24. I agree. The most recently developed animated shows are a far cry from what some of us grew up with, but it's a change for the better. The world development and genre shift places faith in kids that they'll understand, and I'm loving the characters (especially the fact that the gems are technically non-binary)
  25. If they already have instructions then that doesn't really count as a replica, though, right? I mean, it would really only be putting the parts together, and using another person's idea...
