  1. I'm so confused by this posted. :wired:

    ? :)

Not sure what's confusing, but okay. (I just have a lack of self-confidence sometimes. If that's any help)

I always do, because even if it comes out fine, you've got fun in-progress and behind-the-scenes stuff to show people (which if whatever you're doing actually garners a big enough crowd, could be released as support incentives).

There's truth in that - maybe I should start seeing things this way rather than how I used to, as it's definitely more constructive. :)

  2. Your avatar's smile is infectious. It's kinda creepily awesome. =P

...yet it's still kinda harmless when compared to the full face. xD

    But thanks. :3

At least now I know who you are. I swear this blog section wouldn't be half so confusing to me if everyone stuck to their primary name. >_<

I suppose you're right; but for people trying out new names in hopes to finally find another one they're happy with that just isn't always an option... :/

I've never been one for creative display names—I have enough trouble remembering who's who online without people changing their entire identities on a whim. I once changed my name for a BZP fad, and after changing it back (to a more simplified name than I had originally), I haven't looked back once.

    ... at least yours isn't just a canon character's name with a blank and an 'i'. ^_^

  3. Lucky! I'm waking up at 5AM still due to trouble breathing. You stole my sleep! D= Meh, I'll prolly nap today. Sooo glad it's my days off work. Still, my throat is feeling better at least. (No comic, just complaints on my end. =P) Anyways, I hope you get better soon!

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. Stuff like that is always really annoying. D:

Oh complaints are fine. I just like to vary the media from time to time xD

    Thanks, same for you. :3

This happens every single time I try to nap. I guess I kind of deserve it for going to sleep at 5am or the like, but hey. Whatever.

    Aww xD Yeah.

I can totally relate to this :\

Did you get the 'you slept too much in an uncomfortable position' headache? :D

Nope, that's a headaache I usually don't get unless I'm lying in my real, actual bed xD 'though I didn't even sleep, just closed my eyes and... okay, maybe dozed off a little xD

  4. You can take courses on my head at Urfaeciversity.

Learn all about the stubble woods of Chincinnati and my totes awesome long hair (it's wavey).  It just costs all of the money, putting you in debt for years to come!  (Also your teacher will have no idea what he's doing).

    Long way hair FTW =D

I'm taking General Relativity this year as well. So far, I've enjoyed it quite a bit (though we've only done Special Relativity :P).

    Ah, that's awesome! =D

  5. Oh man, you too?  I literally just woke up at 4AM to make myself super hot tea.  I'm gulping it down, hoping it destroys whatever the heck is going on long enough to go back to sleep.

Got it from my brother.  Yaaaay siblings...  =/

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. Hope you get well soon!

  6. More Lewa = more smiles on my front. Here's hoping they have a better gender balance this time.

Yeah, that would be really great. I never got why that odd ratio was implemented, it used to confuse me when I was a kid (and kinda still does. But ah well.)

  7. Never really got into the SIMS.

Tried playing a demo of one of the more recent games.  Kinda turned out to be one of those "You must take care of a virtual baby in order for the game to progress" things.

I'm sure the earlier versions aren't as bad, but that's just not my thing.

... well the first two are pretty much sandbox thingies IMO. I mainly use them as a vehicle for storytelling and stuff... ^^

If we're thinking of the same workaround then I can tell you that a) that workaround was the best, and 2) it still works with Sims 3.

not sure whether we're thinking of the same thing; a simple "-skip_intro" did the trick for me. :notsure: But if so, that's good to know, even though I don't have Sims 3 xD

  8. Personally, that's my favorite kind of weather. After 2.75 months of 90 at-a-low degree dry climate, that is

Hm. Well if you like it... I prefer sunny and warm weather, but the sunshine part is more important than the temperature, actually.

it's still pretty warm over here, despite the odd bit of heavy rain

i really hope autumn will keep up the trend

    - Indigo Individual

    Unfair. :<

  9. Oh, hey Taka, I remember you~

    (nice sketch so far!)

    Hello there! :) *waves*

    (thank you! ^^)

Nawwwwwww... it never even looked like a moustache to me in set-form. :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this way.

I actually have a Toa Inika Hahli drawing that I've been meaning to finish for many years and never gotten around to. Maybe I should revisit that...

I wouldn't have associated Gali Mistika with "waffle-eye" either, hadn't it been for the internet. xD

Yeah, why not? ^^ That would be cool.

  10. 'tubing or tendrils'

    neither, moustache

    - slawwwwwwwwwwwth

( in fairness though, you have done a far better job of making the tubes not look like a moustache than LEGO did c: )

Nawwwwwww... it never even looked like a moustache to me in set-form. :(

(maybe that's because when I did the sketch I didn't have the set around for reference. ^_^ Still, thanks a lot. :3)

  11. I really like the colors (or colours.  Colours is adorable)

The oranges really work with the green, so I feel this scheme works well.

And, yeah, trees are difficult if drawing without a reference.  I recommend studying a few specific types (evergreen, birch, maple, willow, etc) and just try it one style at a time until you find something you like.  Also, juniper trees can get pretty wild, and I love how their bark looks.  =P

I first learnt the word as 'colours', so colours it will be. =P

Glad to hear that. I do like using some contrasting colours, they make drawings more interesting. ^^

I should really do that. I'd even need some nature studies for my portfolio, should I ever try applying at my local university of arts, but... I am not that good at it, so I often avoid it if possible. :(

  12. TAKA!  BZPOWER HAS BEEN OVERRUN BY GIANT SPIDERS WEARING JESTER HATS!  THE END OF ALL THINGS IS NOW UPON US!  THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE THE SITE IS TO OFFER "A TRIBUTE OF FUZZIES" AND NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THEY MEAN BY "FUZZIES" SO WE'RE DOOMED!

Also, I made dango (rice dumplings served with tea).  It was fun.

    (Hi)

... you deserve an award for this. :3

dango? Never heard of that before, guess I should check out what you put up in your blog because it sounds interesting. ^^

    (hello :3)

  13. Personally I'm more melee oriented (I'm that one guy who goes Leeroy Jenkins in group) because it isn't really hard to screw up. Plus I need armor that can take a lot of damage and melee characters usually have that type of armor.

Mhm... I prefer keeping enemies so far away that good armour isn't that needed, but I know what you mean. ^^

(or, you could also say that melee just isn't my thing because I'm not really good at it)

    Stealth characters FTW.

    - :burnmad:

is on my list of "things I have yet to try" :D

    Stealth characters FTW.

    - :burnmad:

    This is me :P

I'm not sure if D&D counts as an RPG, but it is definitely party-based, and I run a rogue with all my skill points and buff dumped into everything stealthy and agile and sneaky so that I do all the work for everyone before the fighting can even begin, and once it does I'm impossible to hit :P

But I enjoy playing Magic peeps in MMO's 'cause then I can just be the Cleric, healing and buffing everyone and everything that I can see and providing support far from danger's reach.

I do guess D&D counts? Even though I never played it ^^" Sadly.

What you're doing sounds cool, though.

I never play MMOs. xD But apart from that, healing and buffing is cool. I'm also way too fond of spells that weaken the enemy.

My first character was a Mage in WoW, from which I went to the healer side with a Holy Paladin.

Melee was never my thing, either. : P

I've never played a 'pure' healer character before... (nor WoW, for that matter ^^") but it sounds cool, too.

    ~*~*~*~

... apparently everything sounds cool to me today D:

  14. Interesting.  I've never used blender or any 3D software, so I'm interested in how this will turn out since you're using a sketch.

Anyway, I like this blog so much I approved it twice.

Or, you know, I just updated my blog stamp so it's less garish.  =P

Well, Blender is... okay to use once you've got to memorize the essential controls. ^^" At least that's the way it is for me, even though I know that my limited knowledge is still only scratching the surface of what that programme is able to do. ^_^

    Aand thank you! =D
