  1. Very nice! Do you wear them on something, or just make them to make them?

    - :burnmad:

I was actually planning to make a crochet flower-crown-thingie of sorts.

The first two flowers were test-runs as for how big they'd turn out, the pink one was far too large for what I have in mind, the purple one (I know it looks blue in the picture. It's not.) was the right size, and not the two-coloured one is pretty much what I was going for, but I had not been sure whether I would actually be capable of making something like that. :)

  2.

    Were any more Crochémon produced?

    - :burnmad:

Ah, no, but a 2-coloured flower which IMO turned out quite nicely. :3

Well why am I not seeing a picture of it Taka??

    - :burnmad:

mainly because my camera was acting up, but here you go anyway:

The top flower was done during the power outage. The other two are already older ones. ^^ They do look a bit better IRL, though.

Power cuts are not fun. They're why I amass board games and now candles.

I've got to deal with them occasionally at least once or twice a month because there's a fault in the power lines near where I live, and they don't want to fix it until it starts affecting too many people or gets too frequent. Very annoying. Candles, as it turns out, are much more useful than I thought. And I am so, so glad that doors and windows don't run on electricity. But you do know what does run on electricity? A robot. (sorry)

Oh dear, that really does sound annoying. D:

  4. That last one reminds me a bit of the Lego Elves characters. I'd love to see your take on some of their designs!

Hm. Maybe I'll do that someday, but I'd have to actually familiarize myself with the story world first... :S

Well holy heck, this is looking nice. Can't really say much more other than even the odd giant tortoise™ is looking impressive.

You've really come a long way! And I thought you were great before... Congrats!

Thank you! :3 (and again, and again. Really, means a lot to me.)

Are you kidding? Your work with markers is great! Haven't used markers since middle school, but I don't think I could do that without loads of practice first. EDIT: Forgot to mention: the loneliness of the detailed woman in the midst of emptiness in the first picture makes me want to wrap an arm around her. Great job on making me have emotion towards your drawing, doesn't happen often.

Also, be thankful that you are capable of drawing all the time. For some reason, once I graduated high school, I just stopped drawing. I miss doing it, but I have been lacking in drawing inspiration and will for a couple of years now. I am still using the same sketch book I got from a few years ago, making a new doodle every several months. But seeing all of your doodles kind of inspires me. Lets hope it goes into a drawing and its not just wasted. :P

B-but it's nowhere near perfect. Thanks. :) I only use them from time to time, and mostly on the wrong paper... but practise certainly helps, that's true. ^^

(and thanks, actually glad to hear that.)

Ah! But I'm never really that inspired, either! In fact, on two of three days I'll just sit down and doodle something regardless. 'Just' motivate yourself, and you'll improve. (Seriously, when I studied university I reduced drawing time drastically, and it actually took another year to recover from that.) So yeah. Study from life, or just start doodling and see where it takes you. You can do it! :)

  5. WELL

I guess the forum ate my post cause I tried to post like yesterday?

    cause it's not here so

basically good to hear from you. Glad changing up your eating habits seems to be working! Triple Glad 5x combo that you're almost done with that lab and won't have to deal with those guys anymore. And like 78 million glads that drawing has been going good! It really makes me happy to hear all that! =D

    woooooo

(Merlin's pretty fun. I really enjoyed it.)

Oh no - thanks for typing it all again, then. :) It's great to hear from you again, too! :3

  6. Ah, I know what it feels like to lose a wardrobe like that. Don't worry, you'll find some new stuff to get attached to. I have a shirt I keep that doesn't fit me simply for the memories, you could do the same with your jacket. When I stopped drinking soda for a few years I could feel my body get better, so health is always more important than material goods (even if I did lose my ability to wear my huge ostrich shirt...).

Your portrait off to the side reminds me of stuff from the Thirty Year's War, in thine stylization of course.

Thankfully, all the old stuff is still in my closet, so there's nothing lost, really. But thanks for the kind words. :] Sadly, health is also one of the reasons why I started this amazing weight loss adventure, mostly to reduce certain risks, but still. Not that I am nor have been anywhere near life-threatening amounts, but still. :/

Well that's unexpected, but kinda... nice? Idk, it was based on the Mona Lisa, and is IMO one of my funniest works ever.

  7. Why in the world would you automatically assume that?

Actions speak louder than words. Those three "gentlemen" can testify for themselves.

? I assume that it's all fine now because I am fairly sure that they now know that if it continues as before, I may very well go to the professor again. So they'd better behave. :3

these updates are like episodes for a t.v show .

i'm waiting you to finish off each entry with cliff hangers , questions , and a narrator saying "find out next time on Taka Ball Z"

Hopefully not, b/c if this were a tv show people would soon hate me for my habit of nagging and the constant semi-breakdowns. :)

Taka Ball Z: A girl in uni seeks to get perfect marks in 7 classes because her GPA died again

    *Snaps fingers*

    nice. xD

  8. Ah yes, crochet.  Pixel art for grandmas.

    Aw.

Yeah, it gets tiring after a while.

I haven't drawn in forever. I've just felt really uninspired and hit a long block. =/

Also, as for the tiny monsters; pics or it didn't happen. XP

If art block strikes, I have now adapted the strategy of drawing from life (which I never really like to do because it is really boring at times. Might work for you too, and does wonders for your art (in other words: get back to drawing. I love seeing your stuff. :3)

As for pics, idk I've only made one so far and it already went away as a present for someone. D: Maybe the next one will be photographed early enough. ^^"

Well, there's a little old epic I'm writing called Fractured Light

Might give you something to do

Might check it out at some point; we'll see.

You can only see so many SuperWhoLock sh....stuff everyday.

I'm not even that bothered by SperWhoLock stuff; after all there were times when I too would totally obsess over something that I was enjoying at that moment.

  9. Great work! I love this wave of 'fairy art' :D

    Is there a backstory?

Thanks! =D Glad to hear that, because I love drawing fairies, too xD And there just are not enough depictions outside of the glittery/cutesy variant (although I love those, too)

Not much, no. I'm mainly still searching for a right way for the armour to look; after all, I could not imagine a too bulky design, but it obviously still has to be sensible/useful. ^^"

  10. 1. I try to help with saving it but probably fail.

    2. West! Sounds cool.

    3. I guess I get exiled to new earth, then they realize it was all futile because the other planet still attacks, but at least I am on the safe side? (can I bring my family, though?)

    4. I ignore several of the entries while actually wanting to answer them more and more. Finally I give in and it's actually really cool.

    5. no I don't tell them that because they are super adorable! Cutesy wittle protectors! I try to find a diplomatic arrangement we can both live with.

    6. I make them watch TLR whenever they pop up. They will not want to come back after that.

    7. but this is an answer.

    8. Minions. They build minions for my army of evil. Obviously.

    9. Yes. Perfect.

    10. Yep. If you do it ironically.

    11. N'aww, your throat must be sore by now. Have some chocolate milk! And write a book about that, I would read it! ^^
