  1. Those are actually all activites I'm participating in... but not necessarily all simultaneously on a longboard
  2. IC: Kavont, onboard Duality Boats aren't necessarily comfortable places. But when they set sail, they do, however, often provide hours of sweet silence, something that not enough matoran treasure. Unfortunately, The Duality wasn't exactly a quiet vessel, and the unusual combination of crew members created enough of a stir. Still, he had gotten used to it. The quiet years of unity were long past. Beyond the hubbub of the caravan sat a lone matoran, his feet hanging lazily off the tip of the Duality's bow. Unfortunately, you can't get much further from the noise on a vessel encompassed by miles of nothing. But Kovant was thankful for the safe haven as it was. He sat there with his notebook for the first few hours of the trip, getting up once or twice to help move and sort the cargo. He would only look up once in a while, and only to examine the sea around him for some unusual noise he may have heard from a far-off creature shifting the surface. Noisy as the trip was, he was glad to be heading back to the City of Flames. This would be his first visit in years, and he wasn't sure that even his Ta-Matoran friends would recognize him with a new Kanohi... if they were still alive. In times like these, you can just blink, and your dearest friends will be gone. Or especially in Kovant's case, your memory of everything you once knew. He often wondered if his old world was anything more stable than the world he knew now, and considering that his "old world" was now literally smashed to bits, probably not. A new sound hit Kovant's eardrums, and his head perked up toward the source. To everyone else, the noise would have only been a dull rumble, but the sound rang clearly through Kovant's mind. He thought it was thunder at first, but as the noise continued, he began to differentiate the sound as something else completely. There was huge power behind the source, but it couldn't be lightning... then a long forgotten memory flashed through his mind. The earthquake. The sound of crumbling rocks. Huge masses of shifting rock were the source of the sound. Earthquake or not, it sounded like something major was happening nearby. He then noticed voices growing louder and more aggressive behind him on the main deck. He quickly stuffed the notebook back into his pack and strode toward the group, hoping to report his discovery. The bickering merchants were growing too loud for Kovant's comfort, however, and he instead looked for the Le-Toa that was leading the voyage. Kovant spotted him, also pondering the noise, and jogged up to him saying, "Excuse me, Toa... I believe there's a large amount of rock shifting ahead of us." He hoped not to sound too ridiculous. "I can still hear it." OOC: Only the last four paragraphs are actually important
  3. Name: Kovant Gender & Species: Male De-Matoran Powers, Abilities, and Skills: As a De-Matoran, Kovant possesses extremely acute hearing. He isn't strong or fast, but he is instead smart, relaxed, and extremely resourceful. He also has experience in creating Kanohi when the right tools and resources are available. Equipment: He bears a recently acquired Garai, along with a belt pouch holding an adequate sum of currency, a notebook with pencils, and a canteen of water. On his thigh, he carries a pair of sharpened throwing knives that he can use proficiently, but hopefully never out of necessity. Who: With the exception of his cloak, boots, and unusual kanohi, Kovant carries the appearance of an average De-Matoran. And like most De-Matoran, he generally keeps his thoughts to himself and discourages loud noise; what's unusual, however, is his desire to explore. He left behind a booming Kanohi forging business just to travel the world, a goal probably fueled by his curiousity about his own mysterious past. He is a wanderer and almost always alone, but he will listen intently to anything you have to say... as long as you keep your volume to a dull roar. (Appearance) Backstory: Kovant may have lead a normal life in the Matoran Universe, but no one really knows -- soon before the Matoran and Agori combined cultures, Kovant's Kanohi was shattered in an earthquake, along with most of his memory. He nearly died before a small tribe of Ta-Matoran took him in and replaced his mask with one from their own forgery, and he lived with them for many years after. Kovant began his own business of Kanohi trading in the City of Flames, and the trade suddenly boomed as the wars broke out. After a few years, he eventually turned the business back to his Ta-Matoran brothers and left to wander Spherus Magna. His travels are now leading him through the City of Flames once more, and he is eager to see his hometown for a while longer. ----- Name: Liina Gender & Species: Female Ta-Matoran Powers, Abilities, and Skills: As a Ta-Matoran, she possesses the usual trait of heat resistance. Along with gaining some hand-to-hand combat training, she has learned to be hardy and agile in order to survive the last few years in the City of Flames. She wears a cracked Great Matatu. Equipment: She carries a large jagged blade on her thigh and lugs a backpack wherever she goes, loaded with rope, dry food, flint, a water canteen, and a tarp. Who: She may be just a matoran, but don't underestimate her -- she also has survived the dark alleys of the City of Flames. Her latest years have been hard ones, and not just because she carries the blame on herself for not being able to save the rest of her tribe. Bearing a stronger personality, she will not back down from any challenge or any foe... unless the notion is obviously beyond stupid. Don't take her sarcasm to heart: beneath the surface, she is still understanding and gentle as from before, but years of hardship have added a shell of indifference. Her kanohi Matatu and some accents of her armor is a burnt orange color, but otherwise, she is almost completely deep crimson in color. The condition of her armor is lacking, somewhat rusted and chipped. Backstory: Liina is the last surviving member of a Ta-Matoran clan. She was part of the Ta-Matoran tribe that adopted Kovant after the earthquake, and she essentially became a sister to him. With the tribe's help, Kovant created a booming Kanohi forge business, and he handed the business back to the tribe in order to travel the world. However, disaster struck, and a fire sent their apartment complex crumbling to the ground with Liina being the only known survivor. She has since survived alone in the streets.
  4. I enjoyed my first RPG a while ago, so I believe I'll give this one try, if you'll allow. (As for his appearance, I decided it would be fun to draw this guy, so I have a little doodle of Kovant here.) Backstory: Kovant may have lead a normal life in the Matoran Universe, but no one really knows -- soon before the Matoran and Agori combined cultures, Kovant's Kanohi was shattered in an earthquake, along with most of his memory. 5. Ayo Zombi3s! I've been reading your story for several months now, and now that you've hit page 2, I finally decided to take a small step above measly lurking. I'm not one to create a wall of analytical text, but I will say that I have sincerely enjoyed the journey so far. I love the 'cryptic' sense, as other have eloquently put it, that laces the whole story, along with how well you draw the reader into the characters. Anyway, I really just wanted to post to let you know that I am reading and wholeheartedly savoring each chapter. Keep up the awesomeness.
  6. Ah, it's been a little while, no?
  7. 'Ayyyy, you got somedin 'gainst mah favorite ship? Personally, I'd love the story to revolve around the eventual return of the great beings. What could they have spent all this time building beyond Spherus Magna? Do they intend to protect this newly united civilization or destroy a creation gone wrong? If it turns out a reboot, I'll be happy with however they surprise me... unless the story is drawn out to be as unfathomably shallow as Hero Factory.
  8. I'm surprised you haven't gotten more comments here. I love the simple and well-rounded humor you've spun into these! Don't take too long of a break now, 'cause I wanna see more.
  9. I hope it's a sort of continuation that's set reeeeeeeally far in the future so that you don't have to know anything from the original storyline to actually keep up. For the sake of both new and old fans. But still keep the gap small enough to drop in a nostalgic easter egg once in a while for us oldies :3
  10. I think a site redesign to make it less old looking would be pretty swell. BZPower as far as I know remains to be the largest and most reputable Bionicle community and updating the visuals a tad might be something we need. Not the colors or anything too drastic, but maybe make it less information jammed and more styled? Anything to look a little less cluttered. I'm also especially excited to see the Comics forum come to life again.
  11. I didn't want to board the Hype Train yet. But it was already plowing full speed before I remembered to get off.
  12. If I really had to get a tattoo, it would have to look something like the Rahkshi symbol. It's just so sleek and spiky and snakey.

[Maku]: Forget the colorful wacko and bring his handsome shadow to your village instead. [Aukat]: The blue matoran beckons you. Somewhat forcefully. You should comply. [Takua]: The burnt, mutilated forest looks delighting. Go there.
