I agree with 5x5. It would come to life better and be much more interesting if those details are included, even at the wrong scale. It would just be so much more fun, wouldn't it? But no figures, that would be going to far with messing with the scale.

I love that book.
The sequels are pretty good as well.
-
We called it safety or base.
-
I agree with Zip about the wings, but otherwise this is fantastic.
-
I'm gonna go with The Alchemyst, though that Amalgam was pretty good, too.
-
I've run into some problems with my build that I just don't have time to work on with school and soccer and whatnot. I really wanted to finish a MOC, too.
-
So I'm now thinking about doing two MOCs but there's still no guarantee I'll finish either one. Now the main point of this post: I was thinking I might do ROAT8 But I was planning on going in a very different direction with it than you did. Pretty much I was planning on keeping the wheel design and maybe the head if I couldn't think of a better one. I might change the colors as well. So I'm thinking that would probably be a bit much so would it work if I changed the colors, kept the wheel design, kept the big hands small torso proportions, and maybe kept the head, would that be alright?

I decided to take a look at it. Boy, that is one awesome MOC. I've never seen anything like it!
I'll look into posting, though.

I'll definitely try to enter but school is starting and because I'm a freshman I have no idea how difficult high school is. We'll see.

Oh yeah, sorry. I'm Michael H.

You generally have good colors and shapes/designs. Mainly your torsos look good, I'm not always a fan of your limbs. I generally enjoy looking at stuff but I'm never really blown away like some other people seem to be. And yeah, seeing as you agree, I'm gonna say that you aren't as good as DV, ToM, and those other awesome people that I don't feel like naming.

That's the BBC for you. I might go comment on your dragon, then it will be one more than half as many.
-
Pretty much what B6 said. I was always a little disappointed looking at the front half and comparing it to the back half.
And if you finish I will be able to see it, which would be awesome.

Those wings are brilliant. As is everything else that is visible, of course.
-
I never said they were?
Oh, sorry. It seemed to be implied, but I was kind of surprised you would say that because some of the ways you use parts on MOCs are pretty interesting as far as I remember.
-
It's nice but I prefer the yellow one personally. Of course I don't know whether your getting it for pieces or display so that could change which one I would want.
-
I'm seeing Nuva legs in there. What do you consider useless?
Nuva legs are not useless. I just used one in a MOC I have yet to take pictures of.
Anyway, I guess I'm a square; I sorted all of my stuff a couple of weeks ago. I definitely think it was a good move.

Yeah, saw that a couple days ago.
I wish I was that good.

I'm not exactly an amazing MOCer but whatever.
That's what I used to do and then I got a bunch of plastic boxes w/ adjustable dividers (some box fishers apparently use) and now everything is divided by type of piece (feet, armor, tech, etc.) as well as color.

The problem for me is that I can't ignore problems which results in hours spent trying to figure out a way to fill some gap or create a better transition. If it doesn't work, I either scrap it or pretty much restart using the same MOC concept but shifting scale or continue but make it something else which avoids leaving that gap or bad transition.
After I build a MOC I generally am very happy, if I wasn't it would already have been scrapped.

I knew I recognized the name Karel Čapek from somewhere. Considering he's Czech it would have been strange if I didn't.

1. Katsumoto
2. Call of Cthulhu
3. Ghul
4.Clockwork Hound
5. Clockwork Strakk
6. Tatterdemalion
7. Monstrosity in Black
8. Sting
9. Wyvern
10. Mysterion Scout
Not quite sure about where to put some of them (particularly Sting) but I guess that's pretty much as good as I'm going to get the list.

Underside of the torso is too flat. That and the couple other things already mentioned, mostly the leg length. Otherwise it looks pretty good.
-
Shins look a bit rough compared to the rest and that's all I can think of right now. I need to sleep.

Here is a comparison of a lot of different Lego blues. ADU-blue is the color of the minifig, as you can probably figure out.
