  1. I think the bigger question is: What was she planning to do with the knife in the first place so Chilly had to hold it? 0_o
  2. I'm not a split-personality! RealLeka's just using my account for a while until she can get her own.Anyways, she asked me to present this for the new series she's planning on doing. Any suggestions?
  3. What about categories? Any ideas on that?
  4. I don't hate My Little Pony!Whew, with that out of the way, let me just say that while I'm not a brony or watches the show regularly, but I actually don't think it's that bad of a show. It's genuinely interesting, as it really takes itself seriously. Seriously, when I found out that the world was called Equestria, I almost dropped my jaw. Also, the characters are actually really well-developed and likable. Seriously, I ABSOLUTRLY ADMIT TO PINKIE PIE TO BE FREAKING AWESOME.But with that said, I don't think it's perfect. There are too many groan-inducing moments to count, like Rarity's first appearance. "Out of my hair. What about your hair!?" god... also, I freely admit to HATE EVERY SINGLE SONG. YES, EVEN THE MAIN THEME AND CUPCAKE.But still, I think it's one of the best cartoons nowadays, and the subtlety of this show is astounding. Seriously, Discord from season 2 is actually Q from Star Trek!Bottom line, to settle the discussion that I hate bronies, I DO NOT. THE SHOW IS ENJOYABLE.But I am not a brony. Tell me to brohoof, and I.... wiLL.... DAMAGE YOU!!!!!
  5. Yay, praise!A little trivia: I actually was originally going to do a Grinch parody, but I couldn't come up with all the lyrics in time, so I said: ah, screw it, let's just make an ol' fashioned snowball fight. So glad you liked it!
  6. I have a question:My sister is planning on a comic series of her own, but she's wondering about the boundaries of violence tolerance in this forum. We know no gore, and minimal blood, but what if it justifies to be oil of robots, like in Samurai Jack?
  7. looking nice. I cant wait for it. and that preview looks great. ive noticed you take a lot of time making special effects. very great ones in fact. does your other preview mean that there will be some hand drawn elements?Yes, expect more hand-drawn portions. It actually helps make the comic look more diverse, because after a while, sprite art gets kind of low-quality.Also, here's an announcement from my sister, because she insisted that she have a say here.-----------------------Ahem, hello, everybody! I'm just going to be referred to as "RealLeka" right now, just for the moment. Anyways, what's happening is that Absorba is regularly working on the comic structure, including raw sprites and applying affects, while I'm working on certain portions including the background, and yes, the hand-drawn areas. It'd take a BIT longer, but it won't cause too much damage. Expect it done by next week or so. We're sorry for the delay, so let me just put something here to hold you over that's a personal work that I whipped up in about a half-hour.LinkThanks, everyone, for being so patient!
  8. Yay, we have closure! But I'm still wondering how I should feel for MG.So what's next?
  9. Character development. This comic series definitely has it.Bravo, Gav, bravo!
  10. I'm surprised that technobabble, once I "decoded" it, it actually made sense!
  11. Eh, might be... Anyways, Sneak Preview of Part 6!Link Edit: Image linked due to large filesize. Please keep all images under 500 kB.
  12. Chilly Jr./ ^Fluttershy^'s last word is my reaction to this comic.
  13. Ah, happy 2012, people! The world might end this year, but I've still come up with a resolution that has to do with these comics.See, my sister has been taking art classes, and she's going to help me from now on with the comics, adding her own original art style to the mix. She has a tablet, and knows very good GIMP skills, so her work is going to be great. Here's going to be a demonstration on her work, and a sneak preview of something you'll see in Part 6.SpoilersAnd yes, CC, that is indeed you.She really doesn't know how to do Bionicles, so she will take some style inspiration from LNU.
  14. "And you do not want us exposing ourselves!"-GhostbustersGhostbusters has an unbelievable talent of making great action, with great one-liners. This is by far one of the most risque, but it's just hilarious."You betrayed the laaawwww!""LAAAAAWWWWWWWW!"-Judge DreddStalone. Saying the word nobody can pronounce correctly in the entire movie. What do you expect?"Wanna go get some Chinese?"-Reign on MeMy family loves that quote. Yeah, Adam Sandler is best known for his comedy, but this line in a drama (which actually is very good) just makes me laugh in its delivery."I'm back."-Terminator 3: Rise of the MachinesIn countless other movies, he's said he's going to be back. He finally is. Go Arnold.
  15. I watched part season two. It was okay, but it definitely wasn't as good as the first season. Why?Well, the first season focused on development on all the characters... but the second season focused mainly on one character. That's not a bad thing, but it just didn't feel as strong.
  16. Yeah, that's kind of why it's taking so long to make each comic. The effects are very, very time-consuming, but it's worth it for the fan reactions.
  17. The Bazaar Bargain is a very good Sniper Rifle, so if you're staying Sniper, I recommend you keep it.As for the Axetinguisher, it's a very powerful weapon if you know how to use it. It pretty much does a one-hit KO to anyone on fire. So here's what you should do:As a Pyro, while equipping the Flamethrower, switch to the Axetinguisher, and press Q. It will instantly toggle through the two weapons without having to use manual switching. So when you're setting a guy on fire, quickly switch to Q and use it for a one-hit kill. It isn't easy, but it's very quick and powerful. Just note that other Pyros aren't affected with afterburn.
  18. I don't know, but I'm a sucker for traditional animation, so....Best: Everything made by Don Bluth. Yes, even A Troll in Central Park, and The Pebble And the Penguin. They all have amazingly well-done animation. The best, to me, is the Secret of NIHM. One of my favorite movies of all time.Worst: Titanic: The Legend Goes On.... Holy @#$@, not only is this awful in the animation department..... but it's just offensive as all heck. It insults all history revolving the Titanic. Look it up, it's just amazing how awful it is.
  19. Here's my honest opinion about MLP:FIS (congrats, guys who are wondering!)While it's not as great as Bronies say it is, I personally think it isn't that bad.See, the main criticism I have is that IT'S SO GROAN-INDUCING! No, seriously, there are a lot of moments where I was wondering when the heck should I laugh uncomfortably, or just sigh in agony. Also, the songs themselves REALLY, REALLY bug me. I don't have anything against any of them, it's just the vocabulary is equally groan-inducing. This, however, I can blame for the target demographic (THAT IS FOR LITTLE GIRLS!)Now, here's what I DID like. The animation is spectacular. End of story.Next, the characters are actually taken very seriously, and they do have dimensions, personality, and relations. Unfortunately.... let's look at them for a sec.Applejack-Ethnic RepresentativeRarity-SophisticatedTwilight Sparkle-BookwormPinkie Pie-Loose Screw/Lovable KookRainbow Dash-Naturo/Sonic/Free spiritFluttershy-Shy oneHowever, they are actually well done takes on these character bases. Cliche, yeah, but well done for what they are. (But seriously, nobody can argue that Pinkie Pie is just hilariously awesome. I have to admit that.)Also, the show takes itself seriously as well. When I first found out that they called the world Equestria, I almost Carapared myself (it's deprived from Equestrian, which is loose Latin for "man who rides horses"). I don't know why, but it seems so cliche and redundant, but it's also one of the best breaths of fresh air I've seen. It's not perfect, but I personally think it is enjoyable for what it's worth. I am not a brony, but I find it my "guilty pleasure."

    Derp!

I am not a brony, but I find it my "guilty pleasure."Now, with my rant out of the way, let's go on to the comic. The comic has really great opportunities, but can you probably add a bit more expression in the characters? Mainly you? You just kind of sit there, not moving a muscle. Or your eyes. Also, why is your text red? If you're yellow, shouldn't it be....Also, why are the lights in the background cut off? Um...Ah well. I'll keep an eye on this later.
  21. Redundancy isn't redundant! It's repetitive! But in all seriousness, that's sort of a reality. Mankind has a habit to want to know EVERYTHING, so when they find something out, they want to find out more. Or, in some cases, find something completely different.I actually didn't make that as a joke, but now that I saw how it was worded, yeah. Kind of silly.
  22. Sorry, C.Anyways,Part 5!This is actually half of the regular comic. But I promised a Part 5 before the end of the year, so.... there you go.Comrade_Colonel, there's a message in the end. Sorry.EDIT: Oh, and it's my 100th post. Thanks guys!
  23. I'm still questioning where the heck I've seen the guy's eyes in the last few panels. Seriously, I know where those eyes are from, just can't remember!PS: Where did all the pictures come from?
  24. THAT IS SOME OF THE FRIGGIN' COOLEST EFFECTS I'VE EVER SEEN ON THIS SITE.But that does not excuse the poor resolution of the sword in the second-last panel.BUT STILL FRIGGIN' AWESOME!
  25. :DPLEASE DON'T BE A ONE-SHOT!Wonder why you moved to Fuuto. I'm not fluent in Japanese, but is there some sort of etymology from Fuuto?
