  1. That's what I mean, do you have the 03 version?
  2. I would be fine with the HF heads (I mean, how often do we notice spinnies anyways?), but I like a few other ideas here, namely:1. UDD2. Nuva Cube3. Mata Nui stoneAh, nostalgia. All of these would be great! We could also do a mask from the serials (that never got finished ), since that was kind of the storyline after Bionicle ended?
  3. Do you have any more parts to Jaller McToran? You mentioned his head, body, and arms, and if you have more, I would definitely be interested in trading. I have some spare Mirus, Kaukau Nuvas, and I think a Pakari, as well as a lot more single masks. Interested? I would also like your light grey noble Matatu and maybe mata blue Huna if we can find a fair offer.
  4. I think that Kopaka and Pohatu is the best, considering the reason they like each other is because they're so different. Even Kopaka can't resist Pohatu's loud and social attitude! They also work well together, especially shown in Shadows in the Sky.
  5. 1) You mean a character from your fanfics, basically? I would say pretty much no, sorry. What I have in mind for unnamed beings is more like "a Ko-Matoran" or "a green Skakdi" etc. You could make their personalities the same, though, if it serves the purpose of your plot, so in a little way like that, kinda yes.2) We know there were six Toa Hagah and we know their names from their Rahaga forms, so you could feature all six Hagah, but you could not establish their standard weapons or mask powers beyond what is already confirmed. See this quote from rule #25: I would be very wary of defining anything about the Hagah's unknown tools at all, though, since speculating on those is so popular. I think it would be best just to refer to them as "this one's Tool" or avoid mentioning them, for example, just saying that "this Hagah did this with their element."3) Having a legend of a mythical monster is probably fine. Depends on what the myth says the monster did, how true it's meant to be versus exaggerated legend, etc. If you aren't sure but don't wanna give away details prior to posting feel free to PM me with more details of what you have in mind. Well, I mean for writing about one of the Makuta, could I have references to their Toa Hagah? Not Norik's team, but, like BS01 says: So, technically, Kojol's Toa Hagah wouldn't be confirmed, but could I write about them?
  6. I'm pretty sure that's a no, since Jaller was alive when Teridax took over the MU.Right; Jaller is not currently dead. How about the original Hydraxon (and to some extent, Dekar)?-TomdroidserHydraxon is on the list, BTW. Not sure about Dekar though, since technically, he isn't dead.I'm definitely entering this, four months is plenty of time (to procrastinate ). Would it be okay if I put in vague references to someone who isn't canon? Would that count as "unnamed beings?" Something like one of the Toa Hagah that aren't confirmed, or maybe a mythical monster? (Or both , you'll have to read my epic coming soon.)
  7. Okay, let's give it my best shot. These are great questions by the way, some I would like answered.1. I guess he could, but I would consider it extremely unlikely, because he's probably got some living object guards for him. I'm thinking that there's another character we haven't heard about or one that we might presume dead who somehow got to Bota Magna, and after some brutal torture, experimentation, or disection, they got their knowledge. I guess your theory does make sense though, since he's the only one we know of on Bota Magna who knows about the Toa, but we don't know many being from Bota Magna.2. That's what I was thinking, and it would really support the argument that the GB is Velika, from exerpts such as: Seems very Matoran-like I'm pretty sure Po-Matoran sometimes have a "rock sense," like Pohatu used in Bionicle Chronicles #4: Tales of the Masks. Po-Matoran carvers?Well, it hasn't been confirmed, but it does make sense to me. The murderer talks about "a Plan," and it kinda seems like something the GBs would cook up.3. As stated above, something/someone we don't know about yet on Bota Magna, or someone from Aqua Magna who somehow ended up there. Could be using a Mask power, or maybe as some cruel Makuta experiment, or something. No idea.4. Well, last we saw Mavrah, he was falling into some pretty turbulent waters about to become fish food. I'm as confused as you as to how he got to the Red Star. It might have been revealed in the next chapter, but now we'll never know. My guess is someone, maybe an OoMN member, decided he was worth keeping alive, and transported him to a secret base on the Red Star. The Kestora also said: So, it seems there is some kind of teleportation device on the Red Star, maybe connected to the Nyrah Ghosts somehow, and it had been sabotaged or destroyed somehow. Maybe a Nyrah Ghost saved Mavrah, or even Gaardus himself! As for Kestora, they seem like nasty creatures already, and they're trying to keep the Red Star a secret. They don't have much to gain scientifically from dissection of a Toa, considering they're living in a biomechanical machine, and they themselves are Biomechanical.
  8. Okay then, I'll see what I got:Gei-Matoran, or Radiation: Beings of radiation are usually black and dark green with silver armor and masks, and are usually Male. Matoran have the ability to sense extreme or dangerous radiation fields nearby. Toa can absorb, create, and control radiation, which takes form the same as on Earth, and can cause various side effects such as dizziness, sickness, and sometimes death. They can also have limited control over light, as well as infrared and x-ray vision that can severely weaken their elemental energies. Toa are also immune to radiation, as not being so would defeat the purpose of their powers . These Toa are often sought after to become Agents because of their danger to any being without a natural immunity, including Agents. The Radiation sense can also detect Agents nearby, ruining their secrecy. Because of the Agent's efforts, most of the Gei-Toa and Matoran are on Izumal or dead, but a few exist on other planets.Te-Matoran, or Electronics: The typical color scheme of a being of electronics is varying shades of blue, including translucents, with silver armor, and can be either male or female. The Matoran are usually extremely technically gifted, being able to create any existing invention from a single look, as well as operate it. The Toa can control electronics at a distance. As a Nova Blast, they would release an effect similar to an Earth EMP device. Also a very rare element in the Aethion.Sta-Matoran, or Rebuff: These strange, exclusive beings are usually colored White and Red, and can be either gender. Instead of having an elemental power, their abilities are with bodies. Matoran have a kind of natural, yet weakened version of the Mask of Healing, while close contact with Toa can increase beings natural Endurance, Strength, Speed, and Mental stimulus, depending on what the Toa decide to use. They can also focus a single trait over long distances to a single being. A Nova Blast would actually have a positive effect, releasing all of these effects to a large area. Due to their nature, these beings are highly sought after as warrior's and leader's assistants, especially on Warzone. On Tribal, they are revered as leaders with godlike powers.Well, that's my elements I've thought of. I'm not sure about Electronics, since it's kind of the ability of the Mask of Biomechanics, but the others I'm very proud of. And now, just a few masks:Mask of Solidifying: This mask is considered immoral by most Toa, because of it's ability to temporarily solidify a concentrated area of matter, such as air, water, protodermis, etc. The larger the area, the more energy it takes.Mask of Scrying: As long as a being wearing this mask could recognize a place, thing, or person, they can "see" that thing in their mind. Very useful for finding things.Mask of Sense Throwing: Allows a being to project an external eye, ear, nose, mouth, or finger, which is visible to only users of the Elda or Rode. Usually used for spying.Mask of Strength Distribution: Kind of a hard one to explain, basically it reroutes unused muscle to help in the places with most strain, like for example, transfers strength to legs for running, or arms for melee combat.Mask of Display: Allows user to project thoughts for others to see.Mask of Orbit: Causes projectiles thrown at user to orbit around them and can be released all at once at will.Masks of Solar/Techno-/Bluespace Charge: Allows user to replenish their energies from sunlight (in Core dimension), Electrical sources, or Bluespace.Mask of Stress: Allows user to locate points of the greatest stress, similar to those Bridge Builder games. :)I've thought of a few more, but those are my favorites.
  9. So, are we allowed to submit mask and elemental powers to be reviewed? I have a few ideas I used for my epic.
  10. Not much here, mostly we've seen it before, but that Shakespeare and the Pretzel Maker made me laugh out loud. I love Shakespeare's collar, and the pretzel and lederhosen is awesome for the Pretzelmaker. I also really want the diver, he seems like the star of the wave.
  11. So, do we get prototypes for sending them in this time? I think I might actually be able to go though!
  12. Okay, here's my Flash Fire entries:I started off with Takua, which is my first finished drawing in a long time. I'm thinking about calling it Decisions, because it is set at the time Jaller just died, and Takua is considering putting on the Mask of Light and fulfilling his destiny, while also giving up his carefree life of a Matoran and most of his adventures. So, I present: Decisions: Takua Flash Fire Entry Completely hand drawn, and it probably took about 2-3 hours. I'm not sure because I finished it, and then kept coming back and adding some minor shading detail or filling in a new color. Anyways, I hope you like it, and it's worthy of your approval! (I just saw that Uncle K just entered his Jaller, so it's going to be a tough competition!)Next off, Vakama! I gave him a contemplating pose as he stands over a fire, thinking about the past. His design is based on the set with elements of MoL and my style. I also thought his legs needed a bit of detail, so I gave him a bit of a reminder of his Toa Metru days. I really tried to make his pose look humanlike, so comments on that would be nice. Memories: Vakama Flash Fire Contest Entry It took about 1-2 hours this time, as I didn't make it as clean as Takua and had to do some clean-up in Photoshop afterwards anyways. The pose took the longest time, because for some reason, the legs wouldn't turn out right. I just settled with a stiff pose that actually turned out nice. I've also been working hard on my glow effects, so I added in two light sources and tried lighting him up from there. How's it look?Okay, and now to finish off the contest, my entry of Tahu, which I unfortunately finished about an hour after the contest ended, and was just able to scan it now.Tahu glances around, wary through the smooth cave. He didn't know rocks like Pohatu, but he could tell that this is not a natural cave. It seems small, clawed hands carved its smooth face.As he rounds another corner, he finds the answer he was looking for, but wishing he wouldn't find. The Bohrok Nest, a massive round complex filled with the cylindrical sleeping chambers of the Swarms. Just as he notices this, a quick blow knocks off his mask, and he reels backwards into a wall, looking for the opponent that dared to attack to Toa of Fire.A soft, wet mass follows the blow, and attaches itself to his face. Its soothing voice gently directs him to see his foe, a now empty Tahnok, and Tahu realized what's on his face. He feels something he thought he never would... Fear A Tahu Flash Fire Entry I took a little more interesting approach to this one, but with the same style I've been using. I wanted a memorable moment in Tahu's history, like I've done for the rest, but at the time he was a Mata. After looking through the comics, I found one pose that looked cool, and I've been wanting to try for a while, the moment he's captured by the Tahnok temporarily. I've been wanting to try out my Krana interpretation for a while, but I forgot to add the little tentacles that reach off the sides into the face. Ah well.So it took about two hours, and it was going to be a last minute entry, except I forgot the time zone change. So, I missed the contest, but I still thought I'd post it for your opinions, so post away!
  13. Okay, will this work? I couldn't figure out the DPI settings, unfortunately.Member name: ClickEntry Category: Matoran (Takua)Entry URL: EntryThumbnail URL: ThumbnailTopic: Topic
  14. Oops, I just finished a Takua drawing, and then realized he's just barely over the height limit. Should I redraw, or maybe set my scanner to 140 DPI, or will that be fine?
  15. Well, masks can be different shapes (for example, the Toa Hagah's masks, they were molded to resemble another mask's shape, with a different power). Another example is Lhikan's Hau, which is either a different form of Tahu's Hau, or in the shape of some other mask, or custom. A lot of it is really Lego's way to use Dume's mask for Norik with a different power.
  16. Thanks for that Aanchir, that'll be very helpful!
  17. So, I'm starting some 3D printing, and I need a few part measurements.I heard somewhere that Lego pieces need to be molded within .003 of their precise measurements, or they won't stick, so I need these to be exact to the thousandths! If anyone has an electric measurer (or whatever those things are called), that would be very nice. Please and thank you!Parts to be measured: Lightsaber blade diameter (or any other handle that can be put inside a normal Lego hook/minifig hand)Minifig neck diameter (on piece head attaches to)Minifig arm diameter (at about halfway between top and elbow, please measure x and y values!)Minifig hand diameter (at the widest part of the hand across the middle perpendicular to the pin that enters the arm)Minifig head diameters (from across eyes on both sides, diameter of stud on top, and diameter of bottom "Neck" holder)Technic + pin heights (from top to bottom, as well as width of the side teeth)Helmet width (between indents where visor attaches, as well as thickness of plastic on the chinguard, measuring from the bottom)That's all I can think of at the moment, but I might have more later. If you can just even do one, that would be great! Thanks again!
  18. It's very nostalgic, and it make it so Kahu are difficult to get to so you can't just start riding a Kahu on your first night. It will be a goal of the moderator, probably an achievement if I can figure that out, and it should be difficult because it provides quick transportation to pretty much anywhere on the surface.
  19. I really like these two theories, especially the "Power Disruptor" and the Surviving year. Lego didn't expand much on that year of Teridax's reign, and it would be nice to see it. The Power Disrupter was also very clever, and would have been better than Golden Armor, and would make sense that Mata Nui's robot was way smaller than Makuta's. I just want to point out a tiny flaw in the plan. The Destral teleportation device was a Kanohi Olmak (see Destiny War, Chapter 6), which was stolen by Vezon, and then it was destroyed when it fused to his face in the Energized Protodermis later in that serial. They couldn't use the Destral Teleportation device, because it didn't exist, and by the time that would have happened, both Olmaks would be destoryed.Oh, and Logantho, brilliant theory. A space year would be really cool to see, as well as Turaga Nuva. I'm still not sure about the "pause for effect," at least for that long. Maybe skip a Bionicle comic for one Lego Magazine issue or something.
  20. Well, a while ago, I wrote a story where a team of Matoran races to the Chamber of Life before a Makuta can take the Spear of Fusion (it was supposedly still there). I did come up with a way to battle Kardas, but it was a fanfic. They did skip over Umbra though, since the Makuta had weakened him so much he couldn't fight, but probably with enough gear (for example, a mirror ), they could get into it. Or maybe the story could be rewritten so when they get to the Chamber of Life, the Mask of Life incapacitates Vezon in favor of Matoro so they can safely retreive the mask.
  21. Oh, yeah. I'll get that done, it shouldn't be too long. And are there any other employees taking these requests?EDIT: How's this?http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Mewi/Banners/ibrowbanner2final.png
  22. Yes, I'm working on that. I'm thinking that the Le-Koro Flute will be a craftable item, and if you get close enough to a Kahu and play a certain note combo (which you get probably from crafting, or maybe in a dungeon chest), it will become tamed, and another Note combination will summon it to you. Maybe when you tame one, it uses your taming note cartridge, and if you want more Kahu (which you won't need unless your Kahu somehow dies), then you need to find more cartridges. How's that sound?
  23. I think it would be cool if the Inika Matoran arrived on Voya Nui, and Axonn and Brutaka were there, maybe as Toa, to help build them vehicles, and tell them about the Piraka. We get nicely articulated Matoran sets in about the original size (I've always wanted this, it might give Lego opportunity to try out some MOC-based connections!) with nice little vehicles for about $15. We could also have some larger sets with the Voya Nui Resistance Team in larger vehicles secretly designed by Garan or Velika to protect themselves (yes, more vehicles!). We'd get the six Matoran canisters, and then larger sets of maybe two Resistance Matoran in a large tank or something, two more in some other land vehicle, Piruk in a large aircraft, and Dalu in a boat. I really want to start MOCing this! Lego really should have started making Vehicles earlier rather than playsets.
  24. Another thing that could have possibly happened was that the Makuta of Karda Nui didn't even go there, and instead it was Inika (or Nuva) vs. Shadow Toa, the only confirmed one was Ahkmou. And your theory sounds good, as long as Mata Nui didn't die before they made it to Voya Nui. I like that the Toa Terrain Crawler came back for more of the story.
  25. Okay, it's been a little while since I posted an update, so I thought I'd finish my Kahu model I posted a little while ago!Kinda large image, rendered in BlenderIt's a quick, messy render made for Biocraft, so look forward to seeing it and my Nui Rama in their movie! And I just found out 1.3 isn't coming out until August, and 1.4 has the Modding API, so I might start some basic programming pretty soon so I don't keep everyone waiting.
