  1. The Ruru has very limited X-Ray vision, while the Akaku is a lot stronger.EDIT: Ha, Ninja'd Bonesii!
  2. Okay, I fell a bit behind in this topic, so I really don't want to go back and find where I saw it, but Bonesii said that Gravity Toa can make certain areas the new "gravity center" as long as it isn't overpowered by another source. And yet, in the books, Nuhvok-Kal was always shown as being able to increase or decrease gravity on a certain object, like how he made Tahu so heavy, that Tahu couldn't lift himself off the ground, or how he decreased the gravity (and therefore the weight) on some trees in the Le-Wahi forest to make them literally float out of the ground, and then increased their gravity so they would crash down and make an immovable barrier. Shouldn't this be the canon interpretation? And I also have a kind of theory that's started getting developed in this topic. Theoretically, Toa can only control one state of matter of their element, otherwise Toa of Water could control Ice, Steam, and Water Plasma (if it exists) as well. So, theoretically, using an example presented earlier, a Toa of Nitrogen could only control the gaseous form, and not Liquid Nitrogen? And a Toa of Poison could only control liquid poison, and not airborne poison? Is this correct then, or are certain elements exempt from that?
  3. Could we do a 3D render? That would be pretty cool. (if I have the time, although I'm already working on modelling Tahu's torso, so why not?
  4. Okay, I've been looking over the Lego Universe armors, and I have to wonder: Has anyone ever made custom pieces/stickers to make the LU minifigures? Has anyone ever seen one? I have seen some where someone has tried to make them using existing pieces, but I want to know if someone actually made the minifig accurate to the game.
  5. You know, we've pretty much summed up all of the major Toa Teams except the Hagah, but we don't really know much about them. Maybe:Norik: Kind of an ironic mask power, he's regarded as a great leader, and a lot of people look up to him, and yet he shrinks?! No idea here.Iruini: He decided to quit the team, so he wanted to get away from their opinions, using Quick Travel? He's also rash, and excited, and often gets into situations easily he can't get out of easily, so quick travel seems rash, because you just rush into danger.Gaaki: She wants to show everyone she's good at what she does, and sometimes she tries too hard, and ends up getting hurt, like the mask does to her?Kualus: He has a great attachment to Rahi (mostly flying Rahi), so Rahi Control seems natural.Bomonga: Also ironic, he and Norik should have switched. He's quiet, and patient, which seems more like attributes of a shrinking mask, not the Mask of Growth!Pouks: He really loves his large Rahi, and likes to teach others about them. Teaching = Emulation, kinda. He's also loud and prefers to run into battle, which he probably learned somewhere, maybe.Wow, that was hard. Any better guesses? Now we just need the Makuta (and Matoran) of Karda Nui, Takanuva and Makuta (obvious really), Dume, Axonn and Brutaka, Trinuma, Karzahni, Artahka (kinda obvious too), Tuyet, Nikila, Varian, Miserix, Vultraz, and Helryx. Anyone up for that?
  6. I think I would like that. :PIt does sound like a good idea, it's very annoying that Mata Nui just goes into the mask after saying "here's your new planet, that's my thanks to you, have fun getting along." It just doesn't really seem to be in Mata Nui's new character (post-Bara Magna) to just leave everyone alone again!
  7. Oh, and I just remembered, the Visorak also have their own language. Thought I should mention that. They developed it themselves after their creation. As for the Matoran, maybe they were originally given a "program" to be able to speak Agori should it be needed. Like maybe they speak in morse code or something (which would be cool, but I guess Nuju and Kualus's "Flyer-speak" kind of ruin that, since it was a completely different language consisting of clicks and whistles, so if it's different, then their language probably doesn't consist of clicks, beeps, whirs, or whistles, ruling out "R2speak."), and then later, when they heard the Agori language, the program kicks in, and voila! They speak Agori.
  8. Yeah, I can kind of see that with a few of them. I guess that's where Lego got the inspiration for some of their mask powers. Maybe for Whenua, he likes exploring the past and knowing things, so his light functions as a way to explore more and as a metaphorical "light" of wisdom. And I can see the Mata, and starting to see the Inika:Tahu: Hard as a lava rock, but still works hard to protect those he has befriended, thus his shield helps protect.Pohatu: Fast talking hero, I guess, so speedy mask?Onua: Strong in will and in mind, his mask just helps that come out physically.Lewa: Freespirited, so flight is often associated with freedom, like SamH said.Gali: She's a water Toa, so of course she needs to breathe in water. The ocean is also kind of a peaceful place, so it reflects her nature, and her mask lets her spend more time in it.Kopaka: Sees into the future a lot, and also prefers to talk less, think more, so X-ray vision is like looking into himself and others.Jaller: One who will literally do anything for those he feels responsible for, so he gets the mask of Fate to do those near impossible things.Hewkii: Star Kohlii player, perfect accuracy?Nuparu: No idea what Lego was thinking here, maybe like he explores a lot of possiblities and his imagination really "takes flight?" :PKongu: I had to look this one up, but he's clever and uses his brain, so now he can use his brain even more!Hahli: Very responsible, so she could look after the Mask of Life.Matoro: Shy, quiet, and never wanted to be a Toa, similar to Vakama, so he could disappear, in a way. He also relies a lot on friends, so he needs them to protect his body.
  9. I think there are actually a few more languages that are spoken, but only referenced really. I think the Bohrok queens spoke a different one, and I remember in Bio. Adv. 8, it said "Sidorak cursed in a language that was old when Metru Nui was young," which I guess could be a dialect of Agori. Just picking it apart a bit. It does sound like a valid theory though, although Sci Fi's filled with those random things that shouldn't work, but somehow does according to the author/director/etc.
  10. I think it would be cool if we got to see Bota Magna and have some dinosaur rider sets, like maybe Mata Nui had to set up some kind of device on each planet to get it in correctly, and so with the newly rebuilt robot, he takes off to Bota Magna, where maybe he crash lands (again), and is forced to either go back into the Ignika body, or wait until he is repaired by curious dinosaur riders. I guess that would add a whole new element of confusion though, because I don't know about the rest of Bionicle fans, but Bara Magna really confused me for a while there.Anyways, once he's repaired, he flies back to Bara Magna after planting the device, and finds that most of the Bara Magna villages have been destroyed by a seeking Terry, who has come to challenge Mata Nui. They fight in a Glatorian-esque battle (because that would be cool), but Mata Nui's bot is struck down by a cheap shot by Terry, who now begins to gloat. While he's busy, inhabitants of the Great Spirit Robot start escaping, and after a fierce confrontation with the Agori and Glatorian, agree to somehow stall Terry while Mata Nui regains strength. The Toa combine powers to start destroying the Terrybot (maybe from the inside?), who also starts running out of strength because all the Matoran are leaving. Mata Nui's bot suddenly gets up and tackles him, rocking the universe inside Terry, maybe killing a few characters who have tragic funerals, as well as taking down Teridax, who destroys much of Bara Magna. The Toa raid his head while he is down, and some Io-Toa incinerate the mechanics within, killing the MU. Teridax escapes, but not for long, because that's when Bota Magna smashes his head into the core, trapping him in extreme heat, supposedly killing him. From there, Mata Nui gives up his body, and so on, and I've always wanted a nostalgic ending like the last sentence was "for that is the way of the Bionicle," because that would be cool, and then the last comic panel or something shows a small bit of Antidermis that escaped posessing some Makuta servant, like Ahkmou, who waits in the darkness to strike. (and cue Bionicle 2.0!).Kinda long, but I also would like the Toa to help more and finally defeat Terry, like they were supposed to. I also think it would be nice to see Terry survive (since he could have possibly survive the planetoid hitting him), and another set of Ahkmou like was planned.
  11. Three more I found in a burst of Nostalgia. "No, he decided. I can't believe fate would be so cruel as to condemn me to an eternity with Kualus by my side."Nuju in Bionicle Adventures #8: Challenge of the Hordika"'That's the problem with you water types. All that swimming makes your spines soggy...''That's the problem with you air types. You have too much of it between your ears."Matau and Nokama in Comic 26: Hanging by a Thread"I have enormous trust-faith in my own talent.""I think maybe I'll do something safer with my day, like hand-feed hungry sharks."— Defilak and Gar, City of the LostThose are some pretty good ones.
  12. I remember somewhere that since the masks were organic, they communicated to the Inika via headaches with everyone, or something similar. It seems kinda natural to assume that a normal mask would do something less drastic.
  13. Well, kind of, I guess. It hides your "astral projection" while your body remains there, so it has a similar function to, say, the Arthron, but you can't affect your environment at all, but can move faster, as long as your body is safe.
  14. I'd say Elda, but I also want to point out that the reason it gave headaches was because it was organic, and the headaches was the way it communicated with Hahli. It could also sense hidden beings, but there's a ton of masks that do that too. Some other ones that seem kinda pointless are Mask of Aging, Conjuring kind of, since it sometimes takes longer to program it than it gives you to use it, and you need to be always ready, or your stuck without a mask power. Rebounding kinda, as well as the Arthron. It always bugs me how many masks there are specifically for hiding and finding hidden beings. We have the Elda, Arthron, Mask of Sensory Aptitude (possibly), and Rode for detection, and Huna, Mahiki (kinda), Iden, Volitak, and Mask of Intangibility (kinda) all for hiding. At least one of those have to be rendered pointless.
  15. Out of those, I have Kopaka Nuva, Rahkshi Kurahk (possibly, I'll have to check if I have all the pieces.), Ehrye, and I think Kualus. Do you want any of those?
  16. Wow, I have to admit, that is way better than my attempts! The torso looks very cool, and you pulled off a great colorscheme. I really like the leg design you pulled off, even with few brown pieces, and the weapons look very nice and fitting. Thanks for doing that! I'll have to see if I can put him together from my pieces.
  17. Well, we do know the Noble Miru, Akaku, and Kakama, but I guess with how much the Nuva masks changed (while only retaining a few noticable similarities from their original shape), that doesn't tell us much. *sigh* I really wish we could have a contest where we determine Noble Nuva masks *hint hint*.
  18. Lightning Shard, Et-ClysmaxMember Name: ClickDescription: Et-Clysmax has its beginnings as a part of the mountainous border of Ko-Clysmax and Po-Clysmax. A high mountain ridge with dangerous terrain on either side stood in the way of any refugees of the Ko-Clysmax force field factories, where brutal labor for the poor and prisoners of raids was common. The Matoran of Lightning were worse off, as their natural electricity resistance was put to the test at haphazardly-built, dangerous machines. To escape, many beings would run to the nearest or smoothest mountain, which usually happened to be the same one that became Et-Clysmax. Rumors spread about the sanctuary, and more and more beings escaped to this mountain, and armies of Ice warriors tried to follow, but were turned back by storms and defenders alike. A small settlement began to form atop the cloud-obscured peak.Soon, the settlement was dismissed as myth, and anyone who believed otherwise was severely punished. Et-Clysmax, now named for the dominant element, enjoyed many years of peace until the Shattering. Fault lines around the peak split and it rocketed into the high atmosphere, only saved from annihilation by the gravity of the planet and the Airfield. The ice-vapor clouds that covered its peak from prying eyes followed, growing into a perpetual storm around the entire peak. Many beings left because of the lower air pressure, melting glacier, and storms, leaving mostly those of Electricity. In their complete isolation, technology and science flourished to complexity only surpassed by Izumal itself.Currently, Et-Clysmax is cut off from the rest of Shattered by severe storms encircling the entire shard. Their civilization has evolved to a science-based system and a near Utopia. If a traveler were to brave the storms and survive, they would be well rewarded with advanced nanotechnology.Et-Clysmax is still regarded by many as a myth, for slaves of Ko-Clysmax, a heaven where they don’t need to work anymore; for the nobles of Ko-Clysmax, a symbol of treachery. Among businessmen, a shard metaphorically paved in Gems, a goldmine of products and inventions; and for the average citizen of Shattered, a place of peace they will never visit. But Et-Clysmax is real, in the center of a spot most pilots would avoid entirely, saying it’s cursed by the Olmak effect.
  19. I think he means the set's actual height, not the character.
  20. Depends on your offer. I'm really just about to close the topic from lack of spare change.
  21. I think I'd have to agree about human bionicle, it just always bugs me, no offense to those who prefer it. It just doesn't seem Bionicle-like.Anyways, one way I picture them similar to the movie style, but with setlike/slightly stylized armor, and muscle-like organic tissue that looks similar to wire bundles. The head is only stylized enough to add a mouth, with slightly altered masks. I've been considering posting some art, but every time I start to draw, I get sidetracked. :PThe other way I like to draw when I'm feeling courageous is extremely detailed and slightly stylized set version. Some drawings do get a little more human-like, similar to the first version, with muscles, but also very stylized armor that is only vaguely recognizable as the pieces used. One example I actually did post was this Muaka Jaga (I think I called it). I just really need to get some art up.
  22. Just two questions I want answered for the shards topic:1. When did the war on Clysmax start? Was it before, or after the Shattering?2. What were the fragments called pre-Shattering? Where they still organized into "tribes" at that time, or did they all assemble post-Shattering into their current alignments after the elemental fragments were separated. Thanks?
  23. Okay, I'm running low on money, so I've updated the first post. I really need Lewa Phantoka's mask, so please, offer!
