So I'm making a game in the MNOG style and need people to make backgrounds for me because I stink at making backgrounds in that style, I know what I want for each background and have made rough drafts for each location with Lego Digital Designer and just need someone to make them in the style and I will leave remarks as to what I'm looking for with each one (like the style of architecture I'm looking for) , anyone interested please keep in mind that I will credit you for helping with this game. Also, if you're interested, let me know.

This is my entry into the Legends Continues contest. Continuity-wise, this would fit in the aftermath of Makuta's wearing of the Mask of Ultimate Power, the chaotic energy from the event having changed their physical bodies and left them as shells of who they once were. Initial inspiration spawned from a drawing of a skull MoUP done in the last Inktober and after, I also did a quick sketch of a skull MoCr. Additional inspiration also came from hours of playing Witcher 3 and some discussions comparing the MoUP and MoCr to the helms of the Witch King of Angmar and Sauron.

So at work i doodle when not on shift, which as summer break grew closer I found I had more time off in between shifts then actually working. This gave me plenty of time to do some drawing (but rarely did i finish one in just one 4-5 hour period). When not drawing things related to my A Rude Awakening project, I tend to draw Romans. Who is surprised? No one i think. If you know me, I tend to focus more on the periods after the Third Century Crisis, after which the status of a world super power dwindled (with times of rekindling) until it barely be called a true empire. First up are emperors Phocas and Heraclius. Phocas is drawn good, but IMO Heraclius is a personal achievement of mine. Don't say you can't shade with a ballpoint pen. X next tot he first Phocas means that's not right, check means it is approved. And just so you all know, I drew this based off of previously done art I found on the internet. Oh, and see those feathers on Heraclius' crown? Yeah, they were a PAIN IN THE BEHIND TO DRAW. Here, i have an unfortunately historically inaccurate depiction of Justinian II Heraklius (the last of Heraclius' dynasty) standing before the Automata Throne of Solomon in Constantinople. It is inaccurate because this remarkable feat of engineering was built during the reign of the Makedonian dynasty, which is a century or two after the death of Justinian II and the fall of House Heraklius. It was fun drawing this, but had I known that the throne was in the wrong time period, I would have opted for the much more simplistic Throne of Justinian, and htus been easier on my hands. And yeah, i messed up on the stairs. A shame, because the rest is pretty good (not perfect). And here is Justinian II 'Rhinotmetus' Heraklius. This is like a poster concept of the The Alexiad, the epic saga of Alexios I Komnenos, written by his daughter Anna to hopefully restore her some honor after a family scandal involving her husband that led to her being put in house arrest. There is an air of propaganda to it, but I still find it reliable. This drawing could have been done better, but I still think i did good on it. Alexios is not the perfect savior that his daughter painted him, but there has to truth to a lot of his deeds (perhaps not character) because considering all the crud he had thrown at him, the empire should not have survived, and yet it would for a few more centuries. (Alexios I Komnenos is currently my avatar)

Here's a take on the Rahkshi that I did a while back. Most I can remember was that I was probably looking at Doug Chiang's/Star Wars droid design and how he does his marker renderings.

Hello. I need help or tips or such on how to effectively draw an object wreathed in fire. I am trying to draw my interpretation of the Element Lord of Fire, who is named Ezen Galyn, and his fiery veil enshrouds his armor and being. Would it all be a silhouette or would i be able to retain some detail and color, and how would this look?

Some of you may have seen these elsewhere. For those who haven't, this is a roughly chronological compilation of Bionicle art that I've created over the last two years. Matoran art/concepts for a Nova Orbis-esque story I'm working on: Lis, the narrator of my fanfic "The Folly of the Toa" Some fanart of DA's Kaibagal's characters: Art for Gilahu's Brotherhood of the Makuta project on the TTV boards: The Mistika Makuta: Mistral, an Iron Tribe Glatorian OC: And Mestrelis, a Toa of Shadow (formerly Toa of Water) that I'm playing in a Bionicle RPG:

So I am making a bionicle game in the style of The mata nui online games and I have the programing skills, all I need some help with the art. This is kind of a competition to see whom will get some art into my game every week I will post a new assignment for anyone that is willing to try it. Anyone that gets in will get credit for their work, so good luck and Godspeed. Before I give the first assignment, I wanna see how many people are interested in this, so just follow this topic so I can get a good count. I am looking for anything that looks like it could easily fit into one of the mnog games, so use any means you are comfortable with.

Considering that requests probably don't have a place in the art forums, and that I won't reveal too much in this post just in PMs, this is probably best placed in this forum. I'll say upfront that I can't pay, but you'll be fully credited for the work. Basically, I'm looking for a really simple - think MNOG levels of simple (in fact, something *in* the MNOG style would be baller) - image of a beach. That's it. Some water, some sand, maybe a treeline too. We can discuss things like size, reason and other specifics in PM. If you've got the inclination, the time, and the willingness to do this for free, please throw me a PM! Thanks in advance to all.

So, I know COT is pretty much dominated by forum games, and this is pretty random, but I'm kind of lost and thought would call upon the BZP community for some help and advice. For starters, I'd like to say that I have absolutely no artistic sense in terms of visual arts. My drawing skills are abysmal and beyond any hope. I'm moderately skilled with digital photo editing software like PS and GIMP, but only when altering existing images, not creating entirely new ones. However I am currently working on... okay, to be honest, I'm only just planning it out, but technically I'm working on a new fantasy novel, and have an idea for a map, but nothing I draw satisfies even as a draft. I've attempted using some software like Autorealm, but it just doesn't fit my needs. The fractal settings are pretty limited, while you can't make a good looking map with simple orderly curves and straight lines. I'm pretty much at an impasse in this regard. Sure, I could work on the other aspects (which I am), but the lack of a map is extremely bothersome. Google hasn't been much help in this regard either. Specifically, I'm looking for a software tool, preferably free, which allows me to put together my own map with a relatively simple UI, kind of like the custom map makers in RTS games like Warcraft 3, where I can select various geographical factors, adjust elevation, biome, climate, etc. etc but on a larger scale with less detail, resulting in a large, visually appealing and comprehensible world map. In lieu of such a tool, I would humbly ask all BZPowerians for their advice on how to create my map. I'd prefer not involving a professional map maker, since that would involve 1) paying and 2) sharing the specifics of my idea with another human being. Since pulling a "you know too much therefore I must kill you" will probably land me in jail, I'd rather keep the specifics of the map itself between me and myself. Any sage advice or arcane knowledge you fine people might impart upon me?

Hello, everyone! As we all know, G2 has sadly come to an end. In commemoration of the entire BIONICLE saga, I've decided to offer this series of two prints as my contribution to its legacy. Each print is 10 inches by 10 inches or 25.4 cm by 25.4 cm. They are printed on Kodak Endura Metallic and mounted on 50pt matboard. All prints are signed by the artist on the back for no extra charge. This Kodak paper is a favorite of mine- both because I'm from Kodak's home turf (Rochester, NY), and because of its incredible responsiveness to lighting changes. While they are mounted and fairly sturdy, you may also wish to frame them to protect the print. Each print is $15, unless you are buying the Generations Set. Payments should be made through Paypal. I will provide you with shipping costs once you give me your address. PM me if you have any questions or concerns. Prices: GENESIS (2001): $15 FOCUS (2016): $15 Both (GENERATIONS SET): $25 GENESIS: $15 USD Print One is a rendering of Tahu (2001)'s Hau, entitled GENESIS. (Photos of print) FOCUS: $15 USD Print Two is a rendering of Tahu (2016)'s Mask Of Fire, titled FOCUS (Photos of print) Q: What do they look like on a wall? Thank you for looking at my prints! -Haecceity

I was messing around outside on a road today, playing with a Matatu and listening to the MNOG soundtrack, when I randomly decided to take a pic of a field next to me, and draw it MNOG-style. So, yeah, here it is: And here's the original: Hoping the images aren't too big, it's hard to tell on this messed-up computer screen...

Coming soon: Terrible Comics!
Akaku: Master of Flight posted a blog entry in The Blog which may or may not exist.
No, I'm not talking about Legends of Taladi Nui, hopefully... This is something else entirely; Terrible comics, by slightly less terrible people! So far, the ladies and gents' we have onboard on the project are: - Me! - ZippyWharrgarbl - Zahaki - Itaki (also known elsewhere as Encune) Potu miiiiight also join in, but she's very busy right now, so we probably wont see her much if she does. I've also asked a few others if they're interested, ill update the list accordingly if more people join; Basically, its going to be a fun little comic series from me and a bunch of my BZP-artist friends, where its more about the humor then the quality of things. Theres also no deadlines set for anyone to make comics, since people often get quite busy; that being said, the topic may get slow at times, but ill make sure that it never dies completely Also, the way I see it... The more members of the series, the less of the odds there are that we'll all be lazy at the same time, and nothing will get done The name right now im thinking is literally going to be 'Terrible Comics', though that's not set in stone if someone comes up with something better! (Are you a cool peep' that likes drawing, but doesn't have the time to make your own comic series? Drop on by when things get rolling, chances are we'll accept new artists and fan comics along the way!) EDIT: By the way, more or less making this post the 'HQ' of the comic until its posted; don't hesitate to say hello, and throw some ideas around if you've got any! (One such idea I talked about with Zippy was having an 'MSPaint Monday', where we must attempt to make something by just using said program; I myself quite like the sounds of this ) --Akaku: Master of Flight -
Because I haven't been on here in ages. And I feel I've done some decent work, and improved a bunch into the biomech, since I have. I finished my HB Toa "Metru" last month (after a year!). Their costumes were inspired by steampunk-ish versions of their respective professions. In chronological order: My Non-Canonical Toa of Ice Bionicle Art Squad Challenges: Flora & Fauna of Okoto (Couldn't post a thumbnail for these next two) Video Game Characters in the MU Enjoy.
