  1. Toa Bomonga Hagah (Bionicle) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr This version of Toa Bomonga is inspired by Demitsorou's depiction of him. I actually participated in forming this design by brainstorming the ideas for his chestguard (a Piraka foot piece 53568), Mask shape (Hau), shoulderguards (53543), hip plating (is not depicted in the MOC, Toa Metru hip armor, 47299) and a spearhead (Lerahk's tool 44818).
  2. K'thae's people live even deeper than the lowest reaches of the Pit, in an undersea world where the crushing pressure can only be survived by beings adapted to the environment. Creatures living down there are either very hardy, or huge in size, to compensate for the pressure, and almost all are blind - K'thae included. Nonetheless, he posesses ocular organs and eye-slits in his mask, which combined with a similar societal structure, indicate that he and his kin are somewhat related to Matoran and Toa. There's just one problem - K'thae is the last surviving Toa-analog of his people, leaving him alone to defend his smaller and weaker kin. As the life of his people is constant struggle against the local wildlife, he has become very good at his job out of necessity, however the ever growing danger has forced K'thae to consider a plan that in the past would have been unthinkable - migrating closer to the surface. --- Photographing this figure without a proper transparent stand was a right nightmare, hence some pictures featuring my hand. Further pictures: Flickr album. Comments appreciated!
  3. Toa Tom (Friendэs OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr This is Toa Tom, an OC Toa of Sonics of my friend Tom Rule. The model is made as a present for Tom's birthday.
  4. Hey everyone! I've never visited the forums before, nor touched Bionicles in many many years. I started collecting religiously at around 4 or 5 years old, built every set I could get my hands on, read the comics and chapter books, watched the movies, etc. I was the hardcore fan that I assume you all still are! Anyway, I am now 19 and moving out, and have rediscovered all of my sets. As for pieces, they are all stored in one large tub (estimated 70 sets of varying sizes.) I have many of the boxes that weren't cardboard, and also many of the instructions. While I cannot guarantee every single piece being in the bin (as I purchased some sets from thrift stores and yard sales that already had pieces missing) I can personally say that they were well taken care of and 95% of the pieces are in there. I am looking to get a VERY general appraisal/ballpark as to what my collection might be worth if I were to put it up on Craigslist! Here is a list of the sets/items I have. 5. Hello! I realize I don't post much on this site anymore, I've been busy with college and such, but I've been poking around every once in a while to check in. So it's 2018 everyone! 12 years ago, Bionicle released the Inika sets and they were marketed with the help of popular music in the form of "Move Along" by The All-American Rejects. Looking past gen 1 or gen 2 or whatever gen, if you were releasing a Bionicle wave in 2018 and you were in charge of the marketing for it, would you use a modern artist to help promote the sets? Would you hire a composer to just make some original background music for the commercials? What style/direction would you take the music for said marketing wave? And while we're at it, would you try to capture the atmosphere of the storyline in the song or just try to get something catchy to your target audience to push sales? There are no right or wrong answers. I'm asking to a) just get some good ole' discussion going and b) I'm studying business at my university (and I'm a musician) and using music for marketing interests me quite a bit.
  6. Toa Thode (Bionicle, Friend's OC) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Thode is a Toa of Plasma and an OC of BobTheDoctor27, from CustomBionicle project. I was using the depiction of him from the comic Date Night drawn by BionicleChicken: https://bioniclechicken.tumblr.com/tagged/date-night Thode is a snarky merc and a gun for hire with attitude. Charming fellow. The postprocess is performed by Demi: https://demitsorou.artstation.com
  7. Beating my own lay attempts years ago, someone figured out a way to extract all the musical fragments from BIONICLE: The Game and sewing them together to bring the most complete, well-composed and high-quality OST of the game available online: or DOWNLOAD! The score includes fragments that have never been used in the actual game for one reason or another, like amazing passage for Ta-Koro and entire battle theme for Ga-Koro. Credit goes out to Hexadecimal Mantis for extracting the music and That1Cactus for editing. Insane job, you guys. I'll go ahead and also share the original Onua Nuva and Tahu Nuva tracks Bob & Barn were kind enough to share with me some years ago that I never got around to uploading—and while I'm at it, here's the entire thing I personally managed to put together: DOWNLOAD! (23/32 edited tracks + 2 original tracks by Bob & Barn) Enjoy the best score ever composed for BIONICLE!
  8. I was recently looking at my Toa Metru Canisters, and I remembered that some Toa Metru canister lids had glitter and some did not have glitter. Does anyone know why this is?
  9. So in working on that alternate model database project, there's cataloging and attempting to build some of the Rahi seen in the GBA game Tales of the Tohunga/Quest for the Toa. Except there doesn't seem to be a full sprite ripping of the Rahi enemies from that game to work with that I know of (not just the main images as seen on Biosector01). I also heard something of Brakas imagery being found in the game files but is that accurate and meaning sprite imagery?
  10. Hello! I'm looking to form a group of Bionicle fans who know two things: Bionicle Lore and D&D Campaign building. Why? Because I'm looking to create and publish a Comprehensive BIONICLE D&D Setting Guide. And I don't mean a Google Doc that that we throw on a wiki, I mean a real guide. A guide with in depth explanations of Lore, a bestiary of Rahi with stats and abilities for each, custom Classes and Races, Feats, items, "Magic" items, expansive list of Kanohi, organizations and factions(Order of Mata Nui, Dark Hunters), deities and mythos, plants and diseases, and the geography of the universe. A COMPLETE conversion of the BIONICLE universe into the DND 5e ruleset. Complete with artwork. Here is what I need: Writers/Homebrewers Editors Proofreaders Artists(Interior art, cartography, cover art) Graphic Designers Bestarians(Sole purpose of converting Rahi to DnD 5e beasts) Please fill out this form if you are interested! I will email you if you got the position.
  11. Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended a year ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2017, is the 15th anniversary of Bionicle’s 2002 storyline. I know that this year that we got the music album for the movie, Bionicle: Mask of Light’s 14th anniversary, but if you think this isn’t enough for this year, then let’s celebrate the 15th anniversary of the 2002 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the 2002 storyline: The 2002 storyline is about the Toa Mata fighting against a new menace that Makuta Teridax awakened, which are chicken-like creatures called the Bohrok, who want to destroy the island of Mata Nui and enslave its people with their mask-like “brains” called the Krana. The Krana are both the Bohrok’s strength and weakness, so the Toa have to collect lots of their Krana in order to defeat them while a Matoran named Nuparu invented mechs called Boxors to fight the Bohrok. After the Toa did, they find the Bohrok’s nest, where they discover mechs called Exo-Toa. They use the mechs to fight against the Bohrok’s twin queens called the Bahrag in order to end the threat. However, the Toa learn that using their elemental powers is their only hope, so they combined their powers to imprison the Bahrag. Then, the Toa touch Energized Protdermis, which transform them into stronger versions of themselves called the Toa Nuva. The Bohrok are defeated. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories about the storyline and/or what do you like about it? For me, I like the Bohrok. They look cool, and it’s very cool that they work like an army, can turn into balls, and can attack people using their heads, like a chicken pecking, and launch their Krana to mind-control their victims. The Bohrok are the villain counterparts of the Toa Mata because of their elemental powers (well, except for Levahk because it has Acid powers while Lewa has Air powers, but both are green. Lol. ). It’s neat that the Bohrok have those Turaga-like creatures called the Bohrok Va to assist them. The Va too can launch Krana and has Bohrok shields for heads. The Boxor is quite impressive because it has hook-like hands that can punch Bohrok, similar to Iron Man from Marvel using his Hulkbuster armor to fight and defeat the Hulk. The Exo-Toa are awesome because they are mechs that can be used by the Toa, and the Toa could use them to fight the Bahrag. The Bahrag are epic because they look like giant versions of the Bohrok, and when they attack people with their heads, they can try to eat them, similar to the Muaka and Kane-Ra from the 2001 storyline. The Toa Nuva look very cool. They are like Super Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog, but the transformation is permanent. I like their silver armor. Makes them look stylish. I love their weapons because of the designs and the Toa can use them with two functions, one for fighting and one for transportation (it’s what the Toa Masters from Bionicle’s 2015 storyline had). Their masks look like that they just came out of a mutating goo, which I find cool as well. Next, the combo models. The Bohrok and Bohrok Va Kaita are cool, but the Bohrok Kaita’s legs look kind of hollow, and they have stubby arms. The Toa Nuva Kaita are awesome as well, but the one with Lewa, Kopaka, and Gali looks weirds because of how the instructions build him. I mean, he looks like a strange-looking hunchback. The alternate models are alright. It’s cool that Boxor can be rebuilt as a big steed. The Bahrag look mighty cool and terrifying as a giant spider-like creature, but they look very weird, and I don’t think that the mouth-chomping function is stable because there is so much stuff in there. The Boxor’s alternate form is alright, but it looks a little weird because it has awfully-long arms pointing downwards. As for the story and media, I think the story is very good, and the comics and Bohrok Online Animations are great. I like the part where Onua encourages Lewa to remove the Krana from his face (the second time Onua saved Lewa from being mind-controlled. The first being Lewa being controlled by an Infected Kanohi.). The Toa Mata going scavenger hunting for Krana is a neat quest, though I wish we could’ve seen more of it, like see in each and every Toa Mata collecting all of his/her Krana before regrouping at the Bohrok Nest. It’s interesting that the Krana are like organic counterparts to Kanohi. It’s awesome that the Toa Mata and the Matoran used mechs to fight the Bohrok and their queens. It’s also cool that the queens have all of the Bohrok’s powers and extra ones. It’s awesome to see the Toa combing their powers to imprison the queens to end the threat and then get transformed into the Toa Nuva. For the Bohrok Animations, I thought they’re good. It’s neat to see what the Matoran are during the Toa’s adventures. It’s where we see Hewkii and Macku “secretly have a crush with each other”, and I find that cute and funny (even though that Greg Farshtey made love non-canon). I also like the part where Takua went to confront the Bohrok while trying to protect the Matoran. I like that the animations used the animation style from the Mata Nui Online Game, though that I wish that there’s a similar game for the storyline. So, guys, what are your fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite 2002 set, favorite character(s) in 2002, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the 2002 storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, well, my favorite sets are the Bohrok, Exo-Toa, Bahrag, Tahu Nuva, Lewa Nuva, Kopaka Nuva, and Onua Nuva, and my favorite characters are Tahu, Lewa, Onua, Nuparu, and the Bahrag. The things that remind are: 1. The Cybug craziness from Wreck-It Ralph in 2012 2. The mutated monkey rampage from The Powerpuff Girls Movie in 2002 3. The Brain Attack and Invasion From Below storylines from Hero Factory 4. Those tiny Insecticons that transform into balls from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009
  12. We're on the tail end of what should have been the third year of Bionicle G2, and there's a high chance that the theme is gone for good. My personal hopes to the contrary notwithstanding, that is what the biggest likelihood is. I'm not here to debate whether it will ever return, or if it even should, but rather to look back and ask what it meant to my fellow BZPowerians. Not just G1 or G2, but Bionicle as a whole. Was it just a cool looking toyline for you, or more? Did you collect the figures without much care for the story? Was it the other way around, with the world and lore gripping you without feeling a need to own the sets? Do you have some kind of emotional connection to it or was it just a cool hobby that you don't particularly mind having passed? Did you collect the sets for their own sake, or was it to get parts for MOCs? For me, I feel I got more attached to Bionicle than I maybe should have, but there's a reason for that - it was one of the very few positive aspects of a tough and dark childhood. It helped me cope during the hard times, and I've grown a great deal of appreciation for both the sets and the storyline. I replay MNOG once every year, almost always listen to the soundtrack of the films or games when writing, frequently build MOCs and try to engage with what remains of the community as an effort to contribute to keeping it alive. When Bionicle got cancelled (both times) I added my voice to the crowd saying that the fans can and should keep it alive, and BZP is the epitome of that. I've been lurking since ~2004, so this site has become entwined with my perception of Bionicle as a whole. Making a product line which ultimately serves as a source of income for a corporation part of your identity is silly and childish, but as a child Bionicle made such an impression on me that it still lingers. I still read the books, am fascinated by the unique world and setting of it. The various characters, the deep lore and intriguing locations always fascinated me. I still strive to complete my collection of sets, and am quite close, but as the years go by achieving that goal becomes harder and harder. Whenever I engage with Bionicle in any way (MOCing, playing one of the game, watching the films, etc) I always eventually reach a point where I just wish there was more to explore, and more coming. The anticipation of images for next year's sets, reading the comics and seeing as the story develops, speaking with other fans about set design or how we imagine upcoming sets will look like based on hints and leaks, discussing the way the story is progressing - I miss all that. G2 brought it back briefly, but was marred by so many fans disliking it, and it was taken away again far too soon. Right now the soundtrack of the films is running in another tab, and is likely influencing my starting of this thread, but I'm curious to know how big a thing Bionicle was in the lives of other fans, and what it means to them.
  13. Hi, guys! When I look Four big Lego themes, Bionicle, Hero Factory, Ninjago, and Nexo Knights, I see some interesting similarities between them: 1. Their stories all have groups of heroes who have rookies that take spotlights. 2. They involve elements, which are fire, electricity, and earth. 3. They involve technology and abnormal-looking vehicles. 4. All of themes’ stories are on the similar levels of character development, how they’re constructed, and humor. 5. They all have dragons. These may be too common if you think so, there’s another interesting thing: You see, Bionicle’s characters are constraction figures and involved with elemental powers. Hero Factory’s characters also are constraction figures, but they are less involved with elemental powers and have more advanced technology than Bionicle’s. Ninjago’s characters are minifigures and involved with elemental powers. Nexo Knights’ characters also are minifigures, but they are less involved with elemental powers and have more advanced technology than Ninjago’s. So, when I look at these qualities, I would say that Hero Factory is Bionicle’s technology counterpart, Ninjago is Bionicle’s minifigure counterpart, and Nexo Knights is Ninjago’s technology counterpart and Hero Factory’s minifigure counterpart. You see, it’s like a square. I’m not sure about Hero-Factory-and-Ninjago and Bionicle-and-Nexo-Knights counterpart comparisons, but they share some more common stuff. Of course, Legends of Chima is sort of like them, but these themes are more developed than Legends of Chima. Plus, Legends of Chima is a part of Ninjago’s story, anyway. So, what do you guys think of the comparisons? Interesting, huh?
  14. Since Bionicle G2 was horribly cancelled, I started to compare to a movie franchise called The Amazing Spider-Man movies in 2012 and 2014 (you ever heard about them?). I noticed that there are some similarities between the two franchises, and they are: 1. Both are rebooted 2010s versions from the original 2000s versions that are modernized, used for younger audience, came around five years after the cancellations of the 2000s versions, got cancelled after two years since they started, and lasted shorter than their 2000s versions. 2. Each of both 2000s versions have good and bad reviews in their last installments before they got rebooted. 3. Companies who made the 2000s versions couldn't continue them, so that's why they made the reboots. 4. Each of the 2010s versions have two storylines. Bionicle G2 has two story years while The Amazing Spider-Man series has two movies. 5. Both the 2010s versions were planned to last longer, but they were stopped as they got cancelled. 6. Both the 2010s versions use different actors to play their recycled characters, as well as the characters are and look different from their 2000s versions. 7. Both the 2010s versions use new characters as well as the old ones. 8. Both have main protagonists who learn how to be a hero and how to use their powers. The Toa had to learn that they have to fight evil to save Okoto, use their weapons, elemental powers, and masks. Peter Parker from TASM learns to become Spider-Man after he got spider-powers by learning how to use them and it is his self-given duty to save and protect people from threats. 9. The heroes from both franchises change suits and get new equipment. 10. Most of each of the 2010s franchises' villains are new and the main antagonists are old ones from the 2000s franchises, but look different and have different lives. 11. The heroes get ordinary people to support them in their adventures. 12. The heroes determine to know the truth that is related and personal to them. The Toa want to learn about their past while Peter wanted to learn about his parents' disappearance. 13. Both the 2010s franchises have funny and agile heroes, who are Lewa and Spider-Man. 14. Both show more funny scenes than their 2000s counterparts. 15. The Lord of Skull Spiders and the Lizard from the first The Amazing Spider-Man movie are the first villains to be fought by the heroes, as well as they both attract creatures relating to them. The LoSS attracts the Skull Spiders while the Lizard attracts normal and smaller lizards. 16. Umarak is like the villains from TASM movies combined. Umarak is like Electro and the Rhino when he is hired by the main villain to help them (Umarak was hired by Makuta to get his Mask of Control while Electro and Rhino are hired by the Green Goblin to help him). The main villain also enhances them with things (Umarak got enhanced when Makuta used the Mask to turn him into his Destroyer while Harry Osborn (before he turned into the Green Goblin) gave Electro a suit to help him with his powers and Rhino with a giant metal suit to destroy Spider-Man). Umarak the Hunter is like the Green Goblin when he is a smart, green-armored guy who threatened to drop a good-hearted character that a hero cares off a tall structure in front of the hero (In this case, Umarak threatened to drop Ketar off a tall cliff in front of Pohatu while the Goblin threatened to drop a girl named Gwen Stacy from a tall tower in front of Spidey). When Umarak became the Destroyer, he is like the Lizard by being mutated with claws, Electro by being a mutated (never wanted to be mutated before the mutation happened) villain who has the most screen time than the other villains in the second installment and gets killed in the end, the Green Goblin by not wanting to be mutated into a freak, and the Rhino by being large and dangerous who appeared like that in the end of the second installment. 17. Pohatu and Spider-Man had to attempt to save beings that they cared from falling to their deaths. However, Pohatu saved Ketar while Spider-Man couldn't save Gwen, who is his girlfriend (Gwen died, and that was as traumatizing as Bionicle G1's and G2's cancellations). Plus, it's interesting that both Pohatu and Peter's names both start with a "P", and Ketar element, Stone, is the same as the actress who played Gwen, Emma Stone's last name. Lol. 18. Makuta is like the Rhino and Green Goblin combined. Makuta got mutated by the Mask of Ultimate Power while Harry Osborn was given a serum that turned him into the Green Goblin. They became stronger and got new armor and powers. They also both appear, fought and get defeated by the heroes and at the very end of the second installments and the entire stories (not too impressed, in my opinion). Makuta and Rhino are also big and last villains in the second installments and the entire stories to be fought by the heroes (Makuta got defeated while Rhino's battle with Spider-Man was never concluded sadly). 19. They both have a grudge against the heroes before they got mutated. Makuta was jealous of Ekimu, so he created the Mask of Ultimate Power and was trying to use it, but Ekimu stopped him by knocking the mask off from his face. Makuta later turned evil and wanted to defeat Ekimu and the Toa when he could get out of the Shadow Realm. Harry asked Spider-Man if Spider-Man could help him cure his disease, but Spidey declined, so Harry hated him and turned evil. 20. Stories from both the 2010s stories have shadowed villains who secretly serve as major threats to the heroes. Makuta is sort of like that before revealing his giant form while a man in the shadows in TASM movies works with Harry in creating the Sinister Six and defeating Spider-Man. 21. Both second installments sadly show major female characters with heroic hearts die in the end. In the 4th episode of The Journey to One, Gali died by having her soul sucked into the Shadow Realm, but the soul returned to her body, so she's alive again. Gwen, however, died from a fall from a tall clock building in the end of the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and stays dead (Poor girl. Why can't she be like Gali by being still alive? ). Also, Gali's and Gwen's names both start with a "G" and have four letters in each name. Lol. (To be honest, I originally thought that Pohatu is going to die instead of Gali because Gwen's actress, Emma Stone's last name is the same as Pohatu's element. Lol. Plus, Pohatu would have sacrificed himself to try to make up for his mistake of letting Umarak the Hunter take the Mask of Control when Umarak, as the Destroyer, proves too powerful for the Toa to defeat.) 22. Each of the rebooted franchises has both good and bad reviews and their stories are a bit rushed, which could be reasons why they are infamously cancelled. That really broke my heart twice. (crying in tears of sadness). When some people say that after their cancellations, they feel that the rebooted franchises could be sort of forgotten. 23. Both rebooted franchises include powerful guys using hi-tech-looking jet-like machines to fly, they ride them with their feet, and use blades. In this case, Bionicle G2's Pohatu uses his boomerangs as gliders on his feet while he carries a dagger while The Amazing Spider-Man 2's the Green Goblin, well, use a glider to fly and a strange-looking blade. 24. Both 2010s franchises involved abnormal spiders with powers. In Bionicle 2015, there are skull-shaped spiders called the Skull Spiders, which can mind-control people when they attach to their faces. In the first The Amazing Spider-Man movie in 2012, there is a radioactive or genetically-altered spider that bit Peter Parker by the hand and gave him spider-powers. When I look at characters, it goes like this: Spider-Man = the Toa (Mostly Lewa. Lol. ) Gwen = Gali The Lizard = the Lord of Skull Spiders Electro = Umarak The Rhino = Umarak the Destroyer The Green Goblin = Makuta Spider-Man's Uncle Ben = Ekimu (Important old people. Lol. ) So, guys, what do you think? Good comparisons? Plus, do you think that Lego probably took inspiration from TASM series to make bionic G2 before TASM series was cancelled (That kind of would be called a weak inspiration since both franchises are cancelled similar), or is it just coincidence (I feel most likely)?
  15. Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle G2 ended last year, there is no replacement theme with an original story by Lego like Hero Factory, and you guys are talking about how did that happen. Well, we don’t know how, but I can tell you a theory: Since Lego said that it was their business decision to cancel G2, I would think that Lego is focusing other Lego things in 2017, so they had to get Bionicle and another theme called Mixels out of the way. Thus, these Lego things look like that they replaced Bionicle. The things are: 1. Star Wars theme - There’s constraction, and there’s a big wave of sets every year. Plus, there’s this new non-canon TV show called Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures. Man, I know that there are new SW movies coming out, but the TV show isn’t necessary much in my opinion. 2. Nexo Knights - a big theme for 2-3 years so far, and it replaced Legends of Chima. However, not everything in there is equal, and the TV show is getting less and less views. I believe it’s gonna end in 2018. 3. Ninjago - I respect the theme. There’s a lot of stuff in there, but the TV show is getting less and less views when Season 7 happened for some reason and the movie got mixed reviews for some reason. 4. The Lego Batman Movie - A lot of stuff. 5. BrickHeads - Those new silly-looking and non-flexible Lego counterparts of Funko Vinyl toys. They may have licensed stuff, but I kind of look at them as the replacement of Bionicle and Mixels because they are figures. Man, this year, 2017, is big with these guys. Lego sure have trouble with priorities, which led to the downfall of many Lego themes in this decade, including Bionicle. What Lego thing do you think replaced Bionicle this year?
  16. Okay, I know that is a click-bait title, but hear me out. One possibility if Lego decides to drop ccbs or other construction settings in the future but decided to reboot Bionicle is to do as it a Mech series (ala Exo-force) using standard the standard Lego system to build sets and specialised minifigs for the characters. The rough idea is this: The Matoran are a bio-mechanical race who live in peace and harmony with the world around them with their limited elemental gifts; trees growing faster as they tend them, metals forge by fuelless flames and city mounded from the mountains like children's clay. Their culture with it's myriad of blessed masks tells tales of great kings and heroes - the Toa, titans of such size they could step over hills, such strength to smash down mountains and the power to raise whole ranges with a flick of their hands. At first the Toa used their power for good, but one by one they fell to some darkness - and their war shook the world. The Matoran wear their masks to enshrine the Toas' glory, and to remember their horrors. However a new evil has arisen - great monsters called the Rahkshi, arising from the shadows of night and eclipse to destroy everything the Matoran have worked for. Worst, a cult calling itself the 'Brotherhood of Makuta' is predicting these attacks with startling accuracy and is using this knowledge to grow their power base. 6 Matoran use the chaos to go on an expedition through a forbidden desert to a ruined citadel. Tahu, a prince who seeks the chance for a warrior's life; Gali, a explorer who lost everything to a rahkshi; Pohatu, a wounded Kolhii star with knowledge of the deserts; Kopaka, a ranger and loner; Onua, an ageing soldier and teacher; and Lewa, a young acrobat seeking adventure. Within the ruins they find golden masks; giving them power over ancient warmachines and ascending them to the rank of Toa. So what did you guys think?
  17. Who wants bionicle g1 back? with the old building system, continuing on where it ended
  18. Hi, guys! I am not sure if this would be a good topic, but I can say it, anyway: which (favorite) Bionicle character do you think would be worthy of using Thor’s magical hammer called Mjolnir from Marvel? You see, in Marvel, Thor uses this hammer to create and control electricity and weather, fly, and create inter-dimensional portal and travel to other dimensions, such as from Earth to Asgard. It can also be thrown, fly on its own, move around, and goes back to Thor like a boomerang. It is near-indestructible, and it’s quite very powerful. See information about the hammer in here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mjolnir_(comics) . There’s one thing that I don’t get about the hammer, and that is this: How can a person be worthy of lifting and using the hammer. You see, Thor is worthy of using the hammer, but there are other people in Marvel who are worthy of using it, too, like Thorms girlfriend named Jane Foster, Thor’s father named Odin, Beta Ray Bill, Captain America, Squirrel Girl, and Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015. Not just people from Marvel, even Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics did that (the DC Comics is non-canon, but it could be possible). When the hammer is dropped or put down on a place, it stays at a certain spot where it is on and can’t do lifted by anyone unless this person is worthy to do it. It’s like in the King Arthur mythology, where Arthur lifted with a magical sword from a stone while other people can’t do it because he’s worthy. It’s like a magical code that scans finger prints. I don’t know what makes someone worthy of lifting and using Thor’s hammer, but I think it has to do with being a hero who either has a warrior or soldier lifestyle, wills to kill, thinks about others before itself, is honorable, powerful, has a sense of nobility, or humility. So, I would like to think that some Bionicle characters would be worthy to using the hammer because they are heroes who either have warrior and solider lifestyles, thinks about others before themselves, are honorable, powerful, have a sense of nobility, and humility, even though that Toa would go against killing, because of their Toa Code. We know that the characters have personalities while being bio-mechanical, so here's my list of worthy characters: 1. The Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters - they always think about people and creatures they protect, are powerful and noble warriors, and honorable in the eyes of their people. 2. Takanuva 3. The Toa Inika/Mahri 4. Ackar 5. Gresh 6. The Great Spirit Mata Nui 7. Ekimu So, there. You see what I mean? I would love to see Onua and Ekimu use the hammer because they use their own hammers. Lol. Anyway, what are your thoughts about characters in your minds, who are they, and how do you think they could be worthy of using the hammer?
  19. Hello, I posted a topic for these earlier this year but it has since died; so this is a re-post of this topic. Anyway, I have quite the haul of Bionicle sets that have been packed away for years and I'd like to get rid of them for more space and money towards my gaming collection; as such, I am not looking to trade for other sets. Ideally I'd like to part with everything, so with that said here is what I've got: Strikeouts indicate sold items, while bold indicate on hold items. 2001 8531 Pohatu 8532 Onua 8533 Gali 8534 Tahu 8535 Lewa 8536 Kopaka 8537 Nui-Rama Toa Mata Promo Mini CD x1 8540 Vakama 8541 Matau 8542 Onewa 8543 Nokama 8544 Nuju 8545 Whenua 8546 Power Pack (No original box. This will probably be the last time I post this topic, anything I have left over will just get sold in a lot locally. Note: I'm also willing to trade for items on my gaming wish list. Thanks!

  22. Made the hammer a year ago, but I got around to building Nora to use it.
  23. So While at work, I had an hour to think about the Original Bohrok Story line, and I decided to outline my own Tweak to it to make it a little more War-Like/darker The following is just an outline, so there may be plot holes, new concepts that go against the original story, as well as some areas in need of expanding. Any suggestions are appreciated. "The Bohrok Wars Alternative Timeline" - The Toa Mata defeat Teridax the same way as the in the original version. They appear on Kini-Nui and everything is as it was: a paradise. There is no sounds of destruction, no screaming Matoran, Only peace. - Weeks go by, and the Villages thrive. The Toa Mata begin to explore more of the Island and test their abilities even further. They slowly begin to develop abilities they once thought undoable. - A single earthquake created by Onua reaches a dark Cavern Beneath the Island...A single Tahnok Va awkens and emerges from a small chamber. It makes it's way to the surface to see the Island as it is. It returns to the nest to find a room with two sleeping giants. "it is time." a dark voice echoes throughout the cavern. Next to the creatures lies a whole in the shape of a Tahnok Shield. The Tahnok Va presses it's head into the wall, and a line of light shines from the hole. It travels across the floor until it reaches the two sleeping giants, the Bahrag. Gahdok's eyes open... -"The Day Mata Nui Stood Still." A massive earthquake shook the island, as six entrances were created out of the earth. Six breeds of Bohrok emerged. The Bohrok began their attack. Two matoran exploring the icy coast of Ko-Wahi run into a group of Tahnok...they never returned home. - The Toa and Matoran are quick to notice the new creatures attacking their homes. They try to fight individually with their new powers but sustain heavy casualties to each region. Matoran are killed. The turaga are injured. The Toa Retreat to Kini-Nui with the Turaga, The Matoran fortifiy each village and prepare for attacks. The Boxors are built. -The legend of the Bohrok is revealed, as well as the way to defeat them. It Takes two weeks for the Toa to keep the Bohrok at bay while collecting the eight breeds of Krana. During this period, Lewa, Tahu, and Onua briefly are taken control of by a Krana. The Original Onu-Koro is destroyed, Ko-Koro is badly damaged, and Ga-Koro sinks beneath the waves. Po-Koro and Ta-Koro are the only ones left Standing. Le-Koro is still intact, but for about a week is under the control of the Krana. -Once the Toa Collect all the Krana, they enter the nest similarly to the original story. They Receive their Exo-toa Armor and shed them as well. But as they combine their powers to trap the Bahrag, they find themselves teleported to the surface. They realize what has happened and begin to make their way back to the nest. We find Teridax in a frail body, exhausted from the mental effort of teleporting six toa a few miles away. The Bahrag are furious. They trigger the release of the Kal as a fail-safe. With one more Mental blast, Teridax shifts the landscape around the nests to hide the entrances. He collapses. For now. -The Kal reach the surface and challenge the Toa Mata. They easily Defeat the Mata and if it were not for the quick thinking of Pohatu, the Kal would have been victorious. The Toa retreat to Kini-nui. The Kal gather the swarms and begin to push across the Island. They destroy anything and anyone. -Artahka sits in his throne room and finishes his newest creations. six new powerful masks with a hidden secret in each. He teleports them to the Island of Mata-Nui and shares a vision of their power with Turaga Vakama. -Turaga Vakama shares his Vision of the Nuva Masks with the Toa Mata. Using their Golden Masks, the Toa Mata set off to find these Nuva masks, while the Matoran defend the villages. The Mata battle many Bohrok along their journey. -Each Toa finds their nuva mask, and when removing their golden mask and placing the Nuva Mask on, they are enveloped in a bubble of proterdermis that leaks out of each mask. The Golden mask changes back to their original color and singular power, then vanishes from sight. Each Mata mask finds themselves appearing before a matoran from each Koro: Matoro, hewki, Kongu, Jaller, hali, and Nuparu. The Matoran hide the masks where no one will find them. -The Toa find themselves changing into Toa Nuva. 6 Nuva Symbols appear in the Suva's of each Toa. The Toa soon find their powers have increased. -The Toa Nuva regroup to Challenge the Kal. With their new increased power, they defeat each Kal and destroy the krana that controls them. They then venture into the nest (having been found with the help of Kopaka's enhanced mask of vision) and finally seal away the Bahrag. The Krana become inactive, and the Bohrok fall still. -Six Bohrok Va 'manage to escape' the Toa Nuva and Matoran as they gather up all the Krana. They retreat into the catacombs beneath Mata-nui to where the Kal had originally come from. There, they retreave six new Krana Kal and return to the Bohrok Kal. -The Kal soon discover that the Nuva Symbols hold the key to releasing the Bahrag and the Nuva's powers (Through a little telepathy from Teridax). While the Nuva repair Kini-Nui, the Kal attack and steal the Nuva Symbols, robbing the Toa Nuva of their powers. While on their way to return to the Nest, Teridax interveins again. He places the image of the original Kanohi Mata and the idea of sealing away the Toa Nuva permanently into the minds the Kal, in order to exact revenge. The Kal split up and find the six Kanohi masks, while being pursued by the powerless Toa Nuva. They regroup outside Kini-nui and defeat the Toa Nuva. Kohrok-Kal almost kills Onua, but is stopped when reminded that "to be sealed away is a much worse fate than mearly death. Let Mata nui condemn their actions." Kopaka nuva is the only one to hear this before passing out. -When the toa come to, the Kal are gone. They locate the Nest and find the Bahrag. After defeating the Exo-Toa, the Bohrok enter the chamber of the Bahrag. There they find the Nuva Cube, and around it six slits where the Kanohi masks go. After placing the masks, they slide away to reveal 6 canister holes in the ground. The Kal sense the Toa Nuva's approach and move towards the cube to free the Bahrag. -The Toa nuva attempt to attack the Kal, but to no avail. A force Field appears around the Kal as they complete their mission. Kopaka eyes the six holes around the cube when a bolt of lightning flashes out and engulfs him. It drags him down into the hole where it seals shut with a echoing click. -Pohatu, Onua and Lewa fall victim to the same lightning bolts and are sealed away. As Tahu is being dragged down, Gali has made her way out of reach. Tahu Summons the Vahi and uses his last remaining strength to throw it to Gali. He instructs her to save the future and is sealed away. -The Kal finish their mission, the Bahrag are freed, and Gali feels her elemental powers completely disappear. She stares at the Vahi, and escapes the nest out into the harsh sunlight of Po-Wahi. She hears the echoing stomps of Bohrok behind her and knows what she must do. Placing the Vahi on her face, she turns back time and disappears into the past. -Gali finds herself watching the toa emerge from the Bohrok nest celebrating their initial defeat over the Kal. She sees her past self with her brothers. She activates her newly acquired mask of speed (found between the ending of the bohrok and the second coming of the Kal) and races towards Ga-Koro. -Gali comes across Turaga Nokama, and after convincing her of the alternate timeline, she shows Nokama the Vahi. Nokama believes her, as she knows that Tahu currently possess the mask of time. Gali informs her of the Kal being revived, finding their original Mata masks and stealing their nuva symbols. Nokama and Gali agreed that the Toa must find their Mata masks so that they wouldn't be sealed away, and let the Kal steal the nuva symbols in order to have the best chance of defeating them. Nokama gives Gali a familiar mask of stealth. "You must not be seen, but you must ensure the survival of the toa. But if they are successful, you will not exist." -Nokama approaches the Toa-Nuva and Turaga at Kini-nui and congratulates the toa. She reports that the stars have revealed their original masks have been reborn, and in order to ensure the continuation of Toa, the Nuva must set out to find them. (the Nuva are unaware that six matoran had received their Mata masks and hid them around the island for safe keeping) The other turaga are skeptical, but say nothing until the Toa have embarked. Nokama fills in her brothers on Future Gali's story, and the other turaga agree. Future Gali appears before the Turaga. All six turaga agree, that in order to defeat the Kal, the Nuva symbols will be the key. Future Gali agrees to follow the toa and provide assistance as needed. -The Kal again steal the Nuva Symbols, but find themselves too late from finding the original mata masks. The Nuva set off after the Kal to retrieve their symbols. Teridax, unknowing that the Nuva have retrieved their original masks, attempts to meddle and plants the thought of the masks into the minds of the Kal. When they find the location where Pohatu's mask had been, they find it to be gone. Angered, they continue to search for the Bahrag. -The Nuva and the Kal clash on the dunes of Po-Wahi. The Kal now have no reason to keep the toa alive, and before they can deliver a killing blow, Future Gali summons a tsunami to engulf the kal and sweep them away. Present Gali watches her future self approach before passing out. -Present Gali awakes to a strange looking version of herself. Future Gali keeps it brief, and tells her of her theory about how to use the symbols to defeat the Kal. As the other toa stir, she disappears heading back towards Ga-Wahi to await her fait. -The Nuva follow the Kal into the nest, where the Kal have defeated the Exo-Toa and are currently shielded around the Nuva Cube. Tahu activates the mask of time. Present Gali remembers what her future self told her, and encourages her brothers to reach out towards their symbols. The power turns out to be too much for the Kal and each fall to their own power. The Bahrag remain asleep and the Toa's power return. -Future Gali feels her body beginning to fade, the Vahi has already disappeared. more and more her body turns into swirling energy and soon their is nothing left except the mask of stealth resting on the great kanohi statue above Ga-Koro. -As the Nuva exit the Nest one last time, Gali sense a small swirl of energy "reconnect" with her. She suddenly feels a vision of Future Gali's fate, her adventure, and her destiny. She nods towards Tahu and replies "that mask, is more powerful than you realize brother." Tahu laughs and the Nuva head back towards their villages. The Nuva place their Mata masks into their Suva's and the Nuva symbol absorb the masks, turning into a replica of the Kanohi Nuva. Each Toa picks up their replica mask and places it onto their face, merging their old power with their new ones. A beam of light flys into the sky, heading towards the great volcano, where a particular stone totem awaits it's master to come and claim it. It absorbs the light from the Six Suvas and waits... -The Bohrok War is official over.
  24. These were Bionicle G2 Masks that I modeled in Blender a while back in early 2017. This was when I was starting to experiment more with blender and I got more comfortable at 3D modeling. Don't really have any plans for Bionicle now since I'm learning a new version of Blender, version 2.79, so I don't know if I will ever model or animate Bionicle again.
  25. Apologies for the size. Imgur's embed code doesn't seem to want to play nice. Full Album: https://imgur.com/a/C2XRa
