IC Kigta:

 

Kigta jumped over to where Uzan stood, grabbed the plasmaed beetles in his pan, poured a bit of the Turaga's powder on them, and used them as rocket-fast projectiles at a large group of beetles, scattering or killing all of them. "Tuck in!"

He then flipped his pan as he ran back to his place, jumped, and brought Midgetnir down, causing a shockwave through the ground, killing most beetles within a 1 bio radius. "Huzzah, heroes! We shall win the day."

 

 

OoC: In case anyone didn't know, one bio is equal to 4.5 feet in the Bionicle Universe.

"That's a good plan. I have a feeling that we will make it to Ta-Koro. If you see any bugs that are close, try to kill 'em. Just to help those fools who stayed." Artem liked the group. Ahkulii seemed like a good strategist from what he'd seen so far, and a good person. As for Lain, the matoran seemed very capable of fighting, which was important. Oddly enough, Lain seemed to show little remorse for those who stayed. Which was good. Neither did Artem.

Ranok sighed, laying his flute down.  “That’s the best I have,” he said to Kunitu.  The De-matoran looked helplessy at the beetle swarm before suddenly brightening.

 

“Do you think you could take the good-air away so they couldn’t breath?”

Izzun shredded furiously at the beetles, the only worry he had was he might miss some. Something-or someone-was flying right above them, and he wanted to find out. Quickly freezing the funnel opening, leaving the beetles to sit and freeze, he noticed a being staggering, who had blown up several beetles with magmatic knives? he wasn't sure how to describe that one.

 

Racing over to whoever it was, he hoisted them on his shoulder rather quickly. Before they could protest, Izzun leapt up to the Koro platform and gently set the character down.

OOC: @Dallidor I knows it. Also Ask Vezon is good for you...

IC - Kahal [Le-Koro]:

 

The archer fired an arrow in the massive black cloud of insects. He seemed to cringe slightly as he heard the sickening crunch sound of an arrow piercing through one beetle's shell. And then another. And a third. Kahal notched another arrow up and aimed carefully once more at the swarm. He fired again and watched as another arrow skewered with insect carcasses fell to the jungle floor.

 

The hunter's eyes were completely fixed on the swarm. He notched his third arrow and carefully aimed. The bowstring slapped up against his forearm as an arrow flew towards the beetles. His focused expression never left his face as he ignored the throbbing pain and notched another arrow. Kahal looked down towards Izzun who had dragged someone out from within the swarm. 

 

"Don't let up! We just need to keep them away from the trees for as long as we possibly can!" The hunter barked from his vantage point as he fired off his fourth arrow.

OOC I say we all get in some last attacks, wait about a week for the other players to jump back in, and if nothing comes to fruition, we retreat from Le-Koro.

 

IC Haki: Having exhausted his elemental power, The old Turaga resorted to his staff to smack incoming betles left and right, the small wooden pole whirling expertly in his hands. "If we don't get help soon, we will be overwhelmed!"

Izzun saw the massive wave of beetles coming in. Tens of thousands poured over the horizon, all of them seeming stronger than the last. They broke through the forest like paper, and were even more determined than before to destroy the Koro. Izzun was infuriated that the funnel had shattered, and a seldom few had begun knowing on the Koro.

 

"Get in the houses, everyone!" shouted Izzun "Everyone except you, Ryzen. We're turning Le-Koro into the Ko!"

"What! Show our backs to the enemy and run away!? No way!" yelled Uzan taking a slash at another group of beetles. She knew she was running out energy but she wasn't going to give up. If the bugs wanted to get through le-koro she was going to have to die first.

"Got it," she said focusing all her remaining energy in her swords and placed the blades together "Finishing attack, Plasma Spiral burst!" she yelled as a giant column of elemental energy came out of the blades striking 40 beetles head on instantly frying them and knocking a large number of them out of the air.

"Kigta help me move this unconscious dude, please," said Uzan. Normally she would have been able to move the unconscious fellow herself but that last attack had used up almost all her energy. "Haki, Hunter, in here!" she yelled gesturing towards the nearest hut with her head.

OOC: BTW Lain is a toa of Green, just so you know! I think Akhulii's the only matoran in our little party.

 

IC: Akhulii- exiting Le-Koro, treading through jungle southward.

 

Akhulii walked with the other two toa and listened to them converse. Normally before this trip, Akhulii wouldn't have seen why he should care, but meeting beings of the other elements and places showed him that as odd and different they might be, they still had minds and feelings. He could see now that he was still a part of the rest of the island whether he liked it or not, and as a matoran had a duty to do what he could to protect it. Though I'd much rather be in my workshop with my ferns...

 

As they moved briskly, Akhulii attempted to pick as many interesting plants as he could find. True, they had a toa of Green with them, but he would rather not make him waste his toa energy for something he might be able to find simply by picking around.

 

Akhulii thought about how the other beings they met were doing back at the koro. He felt slightly ashamed for leaving them, but was convinced they were doing the right thing. It's really quite brilliant, they keep those beetles busy and from going else where while we get to Ta-Koro and gather up support from the Guard and Jaller. Perhaps that's what Kongu's been doing there?

 

Akhulii thought on this for a moment. Perhaps he didn't abandon Le-Koro, at least fully. His place should still be with his home but I see why he did what he did. The least we may be is support in convincing Jaller in helping out. From there... what? Will it be enough to win? Enough to save Le-Koro? If, not, were there any other Koro's they could look to for help? Was Le-Koro doomed?

 

Akhulii had a bit of a headache now. What do you do when you have so many questions, yet not enough answers? Then suddenly, his experience as a brewer reminded him, You look for solutions, whether they blow up in your face or not. And if they do, you keep searching for a way to make things work.

 

He suddenly remembered Syvra, the person he had originally planned on hiring. He was so mysterious in some ways. Some few moments he would look into his eyes and see nothing but weathered ambition, like he just wanted to see the world burn. But also confusion, but rarely fear. Akhulii remembered Ryzen, the one who seemed to have lost his faith in the virtues, and the other toa who stayed boldly to protect the Koro from final destruction. They were all so different in their own ways. It was so strange that the world could contain such different beings, with different interests and different ideas, hopes and dreams. Yet they all amazed him in their special ways. Rough around the edges, but still worth looking up to, as misguided as they might be.

 

Akhulii now felt very mixed, for it seemed the world was an off amalgam of hope and misery. All there was to guide him was the belief that Mata-Nui was there, and that there was a possibility that things would get better if they fought for it. He decided, that no matter how bad the world would get, hope would make it okay, and would breathe the life of titans into new hero's when the last of them fell.

IC: Vyartha / Le-Koro

 

There was another Gukko bird ready for deployment as the two of us approached, and with only a few curt words between myself and the soldier keeping the creature in tow, we were prepped and flying off through the treetops of the jungle. The flitting of shadows through the vegetation caught my attention, and I could only assume that these were the beetles which had been mentioned before. At times, when I saw an Entropy Beetle in its full glory, I was tempted to try and burn it where it hovered. But my military training won out, reminding me that such actions would only be wasteful and inefficient.

 

We would have to wait until we could group of other defenders.

 

A feat which, apparently, wasn't going to be difficult, seeing as we had just spotted some.

 

There looked to about four; one verdant Lesterin, one azure Toa, and another silver Toa.

 

"What do you think, Sloth dear?" I asked, glancing back to my companion. "Shall we go talk to some strangers?"

 

OOC: That would Trava and co. that's being observed.

Artem started his march towards the shoreline. If he kept this pace up, he would reach the water soon enough. He decided to make some casual conversation with his group "So Lain, what do you do for a living?"

Akhulii snapped back to the group and asked, "Which part, the hunting or the beetles? I can imagine hunting and tracking being a bit inconsistent in terms of pay especially if you're no good, but if you're constantly on the look out for jobs it could do well. Now beetles on the other hand..." Akhulii shivered,"I feel that they're always a problem."

Uzan dragged the unconscious being into the hut since Kigta must not have heard her. "Haki, we don't have time to argue with them!" she yelled running over to the turaga, she pointed at the hut she had just put the unconscious being in "We need to get in there. They're the only ones with enough energy left fight."

The fight was forgotten for a quick moment when Izzun broke into a fit of laughter when the Turaga spoke up. "Oh man, you are funny!" he said as he crushed a beetle he caught with his hand. "Did you forget we are Toa? Not saying you haven't had experience fighting, but freezing the Koro solid is not actually too hard. I-Say, there's an idea. Ryzen, if freezing the Koro solid doesn't wrk, I have a backup plan. Anyway-"

 

He turned and made an ice dome around the hunter. "Hold tight, buddy. Okay, Turaga, RUN! We're freezing this over!"

Uzan shut the door behind Kigta. "Ok head count. Kigta, Haki, unconscious dude, and myself are in here, Izzun and Ryzen are out side, and hunter dude was put in an ice dome by Izzun," she said out loud "It's probably gonna get pretty cold in here if they freeze the whole koro, I can keep the air heated for a bit but I can't make us a fire."
