OOC: Ship deck? They're in the desert, approaching the Koro. About the midpoint between the docks and the village.IC: Bahokosar rolled out of Jianzha's arms. "AARGH!" Splitting pain filled the sides of his head, and he would have wrenched his whole body if it did not hurt too much to do so."Bahokosar!" Sorapak quickly lifted his unconscious colleague up. "Jianzha, can you stand?" He looked at the ship in the distance, as a figure who appeared to have done that stood near the edge. "Apparently even medical treatment isn't allowed for pirates. And I thought we were the strange ones."

IC JianzhaGrunting, I took the jian that I had taken from the hold earlier and used it to shupport myself. "I think I can make it to the koro but can you make a splint and a crutch? Preferably two."

IC: KraynKrayn returned the bow to its usual position, and started moving toward the pirates.Hari was noticeably upset, he hadn't needed an explanation to tell that. She believed that they should have been given a chance first, that they should have been warned. That being pirates or Makuta Followers didn't warrant an immediate attack.Once upon a time, Krayn might have agreed. In fact, protocol dictated that they be given a warning before force of any degree was used, if the target had not proven to be hostile. But the world didn't work that way. He had seen some of the worst things that intelligent beings were capable of over the past few weeks, things that once upon a time were merely stories. Examples in a textbook. He had dealt with murderers, he had dealt with robbers. With terrorists and with gang members. But nothing rivaled what he had seen over the past few weeks. He had watched one of the best men he knew tear out the throat of an attacker and drink her blood. He had come face to face with Utu, the closest thing to a grim reaper the island knew. He had fought with the worst pirates, and tangled with one of the biggest criminal organizations. And it had shown him that protocol was written by an idealist. By someone who believed that the peaceful method always had a chance of success. It didn't. The sheer violence he had seen was a testament to that, a bloody monument to the cost of idealism. It wasn't a cost he was going to pay again. Or let anyone else pay. With a thought, his voice amplified so he was clearly audible to the pirates. "In the name of the Po-Koro Guard, you are hereby ordered to surrender. If you do not comply, we will take you in by force."

IC: Rynekk Simul - FowadiRynekk watched as Krayn's arrow flew through the air, striking the pirate in the back of the knee, and he watched as she toppled to the ground. His eyes were glued to the scene, his attention fixed in morbid curiosity. It was only when Hari spoke up, did the Toa turn, facing her with a stunned expression. She had talked about giving people chances, not condemning them immediately. She had talked about pirates, his sworn enemies and followers of Makuta.Something he used to be.Tightening his right hand into a fist, before triggering his Kakama, sprinting over to Hari."Listen, Hari. I... I need to talk to you," he stammered out, desperately trying to not collapse into hysterics.-Void

IC JianzhaOh ######. They had a toa of sonics with them "On what charges?" I called back. I began running the options through my mind. On an injured leg, I wouldn't be able to do much fighting, and if the crossbow guy happened to aim at my head...This wasn't like the situations before in the restaurant. There, I was under full control, my patron's lives completely at my mercy. Here, I was severely wounded in the middle of a desert and if I didn't get captured or killed, I would likely die of thirst or blood loss. Bahokosar wasn't much better. It was up to Sorapak now. Hopefully he could think straight. "Let me do the alking," I said to the captain. "You do the fighting."

IC: Krayn"Suspicious behavior, and conspiracy to commit a crime." Krayn replied, slowly growing nearer. Neither was technically incorrect, though the truth was ever so slightly distorted. There was indeed reason to believe they intended to commit a crime, and they mentioned the mark of a pirate, which meant that they had indeed committed a crime before. Likely in Ga-Koro, judging by the description."And for links to past crimes, of which the sentence may or may not have been carried out."

IC: JianzhaI turned around to face the voice. Sure enough, a toa carrying a crossbow was approaching us. "Sorry? Suspicious behaviour and conspiracy? You may or may not be jumping to conclusions. And my friends here are slightly schizophrenic; they have a slight distortion of reality that makes them believe they're somebody their not. But I can understand your reasons, I'll admit that we are acting a little bit suspiciously but your charges of conspiracy may be unfounded. Mental illness is a strange thing after all."It was a good enough lie, I hoped, and if he still was suspicious, well, I wasn't named Jianzha for nothing. And should he come to close, well, I guess Sorapak could take over, emphasis on could.

IC: HariHari stopped in her tracks and turned around. It was Rynekk and one of his hands was balled up in fist. If he was angry about something she said, well he could go ahead and strike her, but she couldn't be sure. She also heard Krayn and her eyes narrowed further, before softening a bit as they turned back to Rynekk."We don't just open fire like that, we tell them their charges and we put them in cuffs. Then if everything clears they are fine. We're better than that...she's better than that." Hari whispered that last bit, she didn't need Rynekk asking who. That was something personal to her, something Krayn didn't even know, and he had been dating her for a few days.

IC: (Hari)"I know...it's just...we're Toa and we're Guardsmen. We have a duty to do what's right as well as keeping people safe. Krayn...he just opened fire on them. He didn't even give them a chance to defend themselves. You've seen how Toa have been behaving, how we have been behaving. Being a Toa used to me something, just like being a Guardsmen did. We stuck to our ideals because if we didn't we ran the risk of becoming like our enemies. I want to be proud of being a Guardsmen, not sickened, not disappointed. We owe it to the people, we owe it to ourselves to stick to protocol, to stick to our ideals. We lose sight of that, we stop being Toa, we stop being Guardsmen." Her eyes were downcast, clearly the young idealist had been woken up to cruel reality of the world and it seemed like she was desperately trying to hold on to her former reality.

IC: KraynKrayn's eyes narrowed, and his hands clenched into fists. He'd heard what Hari had said, and hated being the one to make her have to face the darker parts of reality."Then you won't mind coming to the headquarters to let us verify that claim, would you?"

IC: Oh. A Toa of Sonics. Wonderful. Now they've heard everything we've said so far."Fighting? Now who said we were fighting? We are attempting to run away." Knowing the Toa would hear him, he called out to Krayn in a loud voice, simply to annoy him on account of his acute hearing. "OH! NO, WE'RE HERE FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT!" He kept himself from laughing as a grin that none of those on the ship could see formed on his face."If we are attacked, Jianzha, we run. We aren't exactly in arresting condition, now are we?" He continued to back up towards the Koro, as they approached many sculptures. He laid Bahokosar behind one and took cover, expecting Jianzha to follow suit.

IC: [Rynekk Simul] - FowadiHari's words, though idealistic and hopeful in their nature, did nothing but crush the last of Rynekk's spirits in one moment. She was right, of course. One had to stick to their ideals if they wanted to be a hero, a Toa, a Guardsman. They had to stick to what they believed in. But how did you do that when you couldn't even be sure what you believed in?The Toa of Stone, for his part, just looked down at the ground, trying to hide his disappointment, "Well, you've got a point there, I suppose. You've got to stick to your ideals, to be a hero."Looking back at Hari, he managed a weak, but genuine smile, "You'll make a fantastic Commander someday, ma'am. I don't doubt that for a second."-Void

IC: JianzhaI limped over to a sculpture. However, I curved my path only slightly so that I didn't look like I was taking cover, rather, it was as if I was slightly wandering off of the path. But then I hobbled up until I was behind the sculpture.

IC: KraynExcept Krayn, having long since left the boat to follow them, could hear everything Bahokosar was saying. And could see them. Because he was only a few yards away."I can hear you." He noted Naona's request, and complied. "Medical treatment or not, you are under arrest. You can receive medical treatment once you have submitted."

IC JianzhaI groaned and leaned against my statue. Sitting down, I clearly put myself in a submissive position but gave no verbal indication that was surrendering. Then I jerked my leg and yelled out in pain. "Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch..."

IC: Sorapak thought for a moment. We have to lose them...Desert...crazy people..rum...ah. That'd do it.Cacti sprung up under the feet of anyone who was within Sorapak's sight range, twisting around them and holding them still. "I'd advise you not to move, those can get really stabby if you do." He ran into the Koro, hefting Bahokosar. "HELP! MY FRIEND NEEDS A DOCTOR! MOVE ASIDE!" He kept to the crowds, so that Krayn wouldn't be willing to shoot him. He could see the red cross painted on a hut not too far off. A tree sprung up under a sculpture, pushing it up on one side and toppling it to block the entrance once Jianzha was inside, if she did indeed choose to go in.

OOC: I'm assuming that the Po-Koro docks is infront of the Koro, as well as this (most likely incorrect) assumption. Please point out any other errors/false assumptions in this post.IC: Renthos, Po-KoroRentho's answer was a brisk nod, and then he began to move.Grabbing the rail on the side of the deck, he lept, pushing himself with enough strength to reach the docks, his massive two-towed feet threatening to bust through the wood on contact. Thankfully, this did not happen, seeing as he rolled on landing, and was off running once more, making his way into the Koro. His massive frame pushed through the crowds like a shark through minnows, his face hard and his eyes determined. When he arrived, Naona had just fragmented the statue. He stood behind her, his massive, almostly freakishly colossus frame appearing twice as large as the Toa of Stone. OOC: Ninja'd.

IC: [Rynekk Simul] - Fowadi
IC: (Hari)One didn't study what Hari was studying and not pick up the subtle cues, almost what seemed like cries of help. She had never seen some so crushed, so weakened. For the longest time she didn't do anything because she wasn't sure what to do, but she gave Rynekk a hug. She sighed, if there was one thing she hated it was watching others in pain. Rynekk was trying to cover up his and was doing a miserable job at it as well."Rynekk, people are capable of being good and most of us are genuinely good. For Krayn's harshness he's generally a good guy, life hasn't really been nice to him. Karz, life has been cruel to most people on this island. You're a good person, I know that. Some people you can just tell that they are good, right at the center of them, like you." Honestly, I wish we could talk more, because I think you need it." Hari stepped back from hugging him."After we catch these guys and get them some medical attention, do you want to talk some more, as a friend?" She smiled. "As for the commander bit, not really, you'd probably make a better commander than I, I'm just apparently a good talker." Hari giggled. "Now let's go and help out the team, or we're going to start looking lazy." Edited by The Mask

IC: "Help! Criminals after us, we need a doctor!" That ought to mess up any organized help from the pursuers...He looked back at Jianzha. "Oh. So that fighting." They still had to lose them...Deep in the bustling crowd, Sorapak activated his mask. He grabbed a random Matoran while flipping over the rest. "Hang on mate, you're a lifesaver. Possibly literally." Now behind the cover of a rather large hut, he let the Matoran go free. He went inside, put a gag of vines on the rich Matoran inside, and hid under the draped table. As he was considerably ahead on account of his crowd tricks, his Calix, his hostage, and his plants slightly delaying his pursuers, no one could have seen him enter. They would now have to search...every hut in the area.

OOC: That won't work you know.IC: [Naona]Sadly, the denizens of the village knew Naona's status as the crazy, workaholic Lieutenant who would inflict doom on anyone who got in her way of justice, so quickly scurried away from the Toa of Stone."Ladies and gentlemen," she said, her voice booming across the area. "We are searching for three pirates who have recently escaped from Ga-Koro. Your assistance will be appreciated."OOC: Well then TNG, you ain't gonna be able to get a doctor now.

Posted

OOC: Ah, but they don't know what they look like. Especially not some doctor who spent those few moments in a hut alone.IC: "Pff." Sorapak had to prevent himself from laughing. Now, he just needed to wait for the right moment to sneak out and get to a doctor.

Pk57sNJ.jpg

IC: "Oh, bugger." Sorapak thought for a moment. Now they'd have to steal medical supplies and do their best at using them. Oh well, pirates did that all the time. He peered out from under the table. No one at the doorway. He leaned over and poked his head out just enough for his eyes to see anyone approaching. No one--"PIRATE!" A Po-Matoran immediately began throwing rocks at Sorapak."OW!" He quickly formed a gag of vines for said Matoran, kicked him in the crotch, and tossed him under the table drapes. He yet again hid in a hut, this time under a bed, while hiding the pillows and some rocks under the bedsheets as a decoy.

IC: Sorapak got out from under the bed, leaving Bahokosar under it. "Ah! Weapons! Forgot I had those." He drew his sword and pointed it at the tied Matoran who had hit him with rocks and exposed him. The vines unraveled, stretching to his hand and tying the Matoran's wrist. Using that, he shrunk the vine to bring himself a hostage, then had it tie said hostage up again, all in 3 seconds. (OOC: Because long detailed descriptions =/= long actions.) "Listen mate," he said, putting his sword to the Matoran's neck, "I spared your life, you save mine, we're square." He looked up at the guards, holding the Matoran."Uh, no. Tell you what. You get me a doctor, who I take on board my ship. I sail off while leaving this boyo on the docks, and I return, all patched up, in a week, to dump the doctor back on the docks unharmed. Unless of course he decides to do something stupid. Besides, I technically haven't hurt anyone in this Koro. Otherwise...well, a few arrests isn't worth a life, now is it?"Funny thing, murder. I never much liked the idea. Well. For once I'm telling the truth about what I really think about life.

IC: [Naona]Naona took a single step forward. "Let me ask you something. Can you go through with killing that innocent Matoran. Watching him bleed out in your hands, the cold steel of your blade responsible for his death. Can you bear the knowledge that this Matoran is gone forever, with his family having lost one of their loved ones. Can you truly cut into his skin with that sword?"She gestured to the guards around her."Yet if you do go through with the killing, you would be wasting a life for no reason. You would not be able to escape from us. So please, drop the weapon."

IC: Sorapak twitched. That was unexpected. Luckily for him and his acting skills, he didn't mean a word of his threats, as either way, killing the Matoran would help no one.Cut into his skin with that sword...Ah, there we go!"Uh, yes." He did so. A flesh wound, a scratch, just cutting some of the epidermis on the Matoran's neck. "Yes I can. But can you, Guardsman...woman...m'am...strumpet, whatever, let that happen? And you know it will if you don't let me pass. Honestly, I really don't care either way for this man's life. But you do, obviously." He kept a straight face.By Mata Nui, may I not have to kill this man. Disgusting act...
