As Amalod rounded the corner, Esao grabbed onto the edge of the sign that advertised the inn's name and did a backwards vault onto it, balancing on it for a brief nanosecond before sliding down behind it and taking refuge in the shadows.Even without his Volitak, due to his deep black leather armor, the shadows swallowed the Toa of Fire - normally so beautiful, and so easy in your sights - and kept him safe from any wandering eyes. The Toa straightens back up and takes out a tablet and her pencil and rights down the first rule."Rule One, got it," the Toa replies. "One second," she adds as she walks a few yards away and sets down her telescope. It was a gift from Mata-Nui and the last thing she wanted to do was break it; even if it was in one of the most protective cases she'd seen. The Toa looks down to see footprints were clearly giving her away. She shakes her head before walking over a small bank of snow.On the other side, she walks toward the nearby road cluttered with footprints and prints in the snow from carts. The Toa mixes her prints with these and enters a nearby building. The Toa soon reached an open window that looked down to the street below. In front of her was a balcony on the building next door. It was close enough to jump to if she did it right...How bad do I want this? ... I thought so.The Toa takes a long breath of air before standing in a crouch position on the bottom of the window seal. She shakily bends backward before pushing forward with all of her might toward the balcony. Her hand barely grabbed onto the railing after she slammed into the side; a loud grunt escaping from her lungs. A few whispers and frightened gasps were exchanged among the refugees apon the shadow Hapaka's entrance, But most Quickly recognised Quoribay and remembered his "promise" to get them out of the city."You're back!" One matoran exclaimed. "What took you so long? She quickly looks at her surroundings for a place to hide. There wasn't much of anything in this room. Unlike the other building, this was more of an upstairs bedroom that the owner of the building must live in. There was nothing more that a closet, a bed, and a few pieces of furniture that not even a Matoran could fit under.The Toa quickly slides underneath the bed, tucking in her legs and arms as to conceal herself more thorughly. When the Toa comes in, she hopes to make a break for another room as Esao looks around this one. But, the truth was that she was exhausted. Her adrenaline was starting to catch up with her and she simply didn't feel like doing any more stupid stunts. Since it was only a training excersise, she'd give up.But I can't. I have to show him I can do better.But she had chosen the wrong time to come up with her answer.
