He dies. As we start putting more and more items in without any of them returning, we come to the awful conclusion that this pool refuses to transform anything, and instead simply destroys everything.

 

And so begins a thousand page tale of our journey to find a new pool of protodermis. It is sure to be an entertai-

-nodding with a smile. And thus, we had found our new pool of protodermis, our new vanguard of transformation, our new muse of experimentation.

 

In goes the thousand page book on our journey.

Out comes the sequel, in which we decide we liked our old pool better and just needed to put better stuff in it (after all, energized protodermis is all linked or whatever anyways, why would finding a different pool make any difference?) and return.
