Saturday Haul - Lawyer Edition

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Video Games, Real Life Nov 04 2013 · 93 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in sharing what I got in mail last Saturday since well, why not.

So uh, here is a picture of my haul from Saturday. As you can tell from picture, I brought a bunch of DS games from Phoenix Wright series. Why did I buy them? Because my boss always say I should be a lawyer due to my attention to detail skills, so I thought "hey, let play a lawyer situlatior then."

lol Okay, that's not the real reason. My real reason for getting it was because I try to Dual Destinies demo awhile back and I thought "Hey, this looks interesting. Maybe I should give the series a look."

And well, as you can see above, I ended up deciding to buy all four previous games (Not including Dual Destinies, which I might buy later, if other games keep my interest.) in the series. So far, I am on near the end of the third case in the first one and I am liking it, so I hadn't regret make this purchase yet. I guess I could keep you folks posted on that, if you want.

Oh, and I am probably not going to be playing Pokemon at all this week due to these games since I kind want to try to push myself to get through most of them this week, if possible. We'll see how well that goes. XD

Alright, so beside the games, I also got my copy of The Search, Part 3 and man, I thought it was good. I especially like how it humanize Zuko's mother. I won't say anymore than that, so I don't spoil things for you folks. But yeah, I certainly like the series. I am looking forward to Toph's trilogy next year.

That's all I really have to talk about, folks. I guess I can take this time though to remind you that I am hosting some raffles and all you got to do to enter is leave a comment in the entry. So yeah, if you want some free TNG Miru or a BZPower shirt, you should probably check that out.

Alright, with that said, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you have a great day. Talk to later, BZPers.

Waiting on the mail: LEGO DeLorean on the way

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, LEGO, Video Games Aug 15 2013 · 68 views

Hey, folks. Just popping in mostly to say I should be getting my LEGO DeLorean either tomorrow or Saturday this week. I honestly can't wait to get my hands on it. :) I might even take some pictures of it to show you folks, if you want (If I have time this weekend, I might even try to do a mini review of sorts for it.).

Oh, and in other news, I caved and brought Mario & Luigi: Dream Team last Sunday since trailers last week got me interested in it. I hadn't play much of it though since I been awful at managing my time properly this week. The last thing that I did in it was finished the first dream boss fight. So yeah, I am not very far in it at all.

And well, folks, that's all interesting things that I can think to mention here. I would waffle on about other random stuff like Burn Notice or work this week. But eh, I don't want to keep you any longer than I have already. *shrugs*

So yeah, that's all you get from me today. Thanks for taking the time to read this, folks. I hope you all have a great day. :) Talk to you later, BZPers.

Steam Sale Loot or lack there of.

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Steam, Video Games, Real Life Jul 24 2013 · 47 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in and give a sale report like I did for last year's summer sale. Of course, considering I didn't really pay much attention to Steam last week, I didn't really bother with most of deals this time around.

That and this PC can't really run anything on Steam that isn't a Retro old school style title, so there wasn't much point in buying games there when all they would do is sit on my computer and remind me that I need to get a new one (Which admittedly I should of done by now, but I been kind of lazy about it.).

But anyway, what did I buy during this year's Steam Sale?

-  Awesomenauts (3-Pack, which means I get two copies to give to friends. I already gave one of those away, but other one is still up for grabs, so let me know if you want it. By the way, I can't actually run this game. XD), Price: $6.78

Total spent during the entire sale: $6.78

So yeah, I didn't really take advantage of this year's sale at all. Oh, well, its not big of deal and it saves me money anyway. =P

Of course, that isn't help by fact that I keep buying stuff for my 3DS (I brought Attack of The Friday Monsters! - A Tokyo Tale a few days ago. I hadn't play it yet though. XD), which I seem to be addicted to play games on lately. I think Animal Crossing: New Leaf is to blame for that mostly. =P And well, the 3DS does seems to be getting itself a lot of good titles lately (I can't wait for Pokemon X & Y later this year.).

Like I actually been thinking about maybe picking up Shin Megami Tensei IV since the Club Nintendo deal does sound kind of appealing actually. Plus, it is an RPG and I love those types of games. Oh, speaking of RPGs, I got EarthBound for my Wii U, which is awesome. I can't play a whole lot of it right now though since I need to get some things out of way before Thursday comes around.

Speaking of Thursday, that's day of Zelda Symphony and I honestly cannot wait for it to come. I imagine it probably be the highlight of my year. Oh, and my sister manage to snatch herself some tickets, so she will be coming along with me and my friend to the symphony. :)

Alright, I think I did enough rambling here for one day. Thanks for taking time to read this, folks. I hope you all have a great day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Plans for next few weeks...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in BZPower, Real Life, Video Games, Random Jul 20 2013 · 40 views

Hey, folks. Back again to ramble a bit here about next week since I got a few things planned....Some of them might even be BZPower related like I am shipping my BrickFair package out on Thursday next week.

That package, by the way, is probably just going to be two MOCs since I feel like they are best ones that I have currently. That and they are pretty easy to photograph since they are not very complex. Not that I am saying my others are complex really since I mostly just mean that they are more likely to have loose pieces than these two would. *shrugs* Oh, and I might put a hat in my box since you BZPers are all obsessed with that piece of headgear. That and you all can say I was there in spirit. =P

In other BZPower related news, I am going be setting up my BZPower shirt raffle thing next week. So if you are interested in a chance at getting a free BZPower shirt, you should check that out. You do have do something, of course, to qualify for a chance at getting one of these shirts or some of Bionicle pieces that I am giving way. Its simply though. All you got to do is provide a link to a post that you made in creative outlet forums recently. There will be more information about that in entry itself. Oh, and its not restrict to just members from USA/Canada (Although it might take longer to get to you.).

Alright, so beside BZPower stuff, I am going to Zelda Symphony next Thursday, so that should be fun assuming it isn't unbearable hot that day. I sure hope not as that will not be fun. XD Oh, and also on Thursday, I plan to take written exam to get my permit again. Hopefully this time, I'll get to use my permit a bit more and actually be able to get my license finally. Here's hoping for that as it make attending a BrickFair in full more of possibility in the future.

In other news, Book 2 of Legend of Korra has been announced for a September release, so I am pretty excited for that, especially after watching the trailer. That news also did good job of reminding that Part 2 of The Search has come out, so I am looking forward to read that next week when it arrives at my home and when I get a chance to actually read it.

In gaming related news, I got myself Earthbound on Wii U yesterday, which I am probably going to play a lot of tomorrow, if I don't end up marathon-ing Avatar: The Last Airbender or playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf (Which I really need to get back in habit of playing daily.) instead.

Oh, and speaking of Wii U, I am going probably be posting a LEGO City review sometime late August since I been really itching to do that, even though the game has been out for awhile now. Beside, I'll be frank with you folks that while I do enjoy the game, it is not a system seller by any means.

So yeah, the review is not going be like "go buy Wii U, you fools". I am just going share my thoughts of it and list some pros and cons and stuff. Oh, and I'll be sure to keep my fingers away from typing any story spoilers of it, so those that hadn't experience it yet will be safe. Assuming this review is well received, I might make a habit of doing reviews like that in future. We will just have to wait and see, I guess.

Alright, I think I ramble enough here about my plans for next week and stuff. I hope this entry was slightly interesting to folks. If not, sorry about that. Thanks though for taking time to read it all. Talk to you later, BZPers.

EDITED: Oh, happy birthday, BZPower. Thanks to the staff for all your efforts throughout the years here. I hope BZPower has many more years to come.

Pacific Rim / Hangout Overview

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, Video Games, Random Jul 14 2013 · 55 views

Hey, folks. Yeah, I am aware that I am kind of late with this and well, sorry about that. I kind of lost track of time since I had such a blast hanging out with my friend today. But hey, I am here now writing this, so it is not like I forgot about it. Beside, I doubt any of you folks were waiting for this or something.

So yeah, with that said, what are my non-spoiler related thoughts on Pacific Rim? Well, I personally like it and I would definitely recommend you check it out, if you can. Heck, I actually want to go to theaters to see it again and that's pretty rare of me (Really going to movies in general is rare of me nowadays. This is like the second movie that I seen this year.).

I will definitely be picking this up on Blu-Ray or DVD when I get chance since I would love to be able to watch this movie again a few times. Oh, and I love main theme for this movie way too much. I am actually listen it now, while I write this.

Now I should point out that while I do very much like this film, it is not without its faults such as some Jaeger pilots being barely more than extras in the film itself and fact that sometimes the epic soundtrack does drown out the dialogue being spoke by characters. The story itself also by no means revolutionize. So yeah, don't come to this movie expecting Shakespeare with Giant Robot and Monster fighting.  However the action and science fiction elements are all worthily of praise in my opinion.

Alright, that's all I can think of talk about without well, spoiling anything for you folks. Moving right along, uh...my friend and I finally finished Kirby's Return to Dreamland today. It was pretty good. Although I failed a lot in places since I kept running blindly into things at times. XD

Oh, we also played a bit of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon Co-Op as well. That was pretty fun. Not much to say on that really, beside that I was pretty terrible at that as well (To be fair, I hadn't play it since Animal Crossing: New Leaf came out.). XD

Uh...Lastly we start Super Mario Bros U today (Well, more like pick up where I last left off.), where I play as a pro as Green Mario. ....Okay, nah, I was pretty terrible in that as well. I got like two continues as Luigi during our brief run through World...Uh 3, I think. So the moral of story here is that I am terrible at video games.

But yeah, I had a great time hanging out with my friend today. I kind wish we could do stuff like this a bit more often. But eh, that's life. With that said, uh...I think I am done here. I don't really have anything else to talk about that you might be interest in. *shrugs*

Uh...I guess while I have you here, I should ask this: Is there anything that you particularly want me to talk about in my blog here? Just wondering.

Alright, I should hit the hay now. After all, it is like 3 AM now. XD Thanks for reading this entry and I hope you all have a good day. Night, BZPers.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Nintendo Jun 30 2013 · 127 views

UPDATE 06-29: Added pictures and addition information about my progress in general.

Hey, folks. I am just popping in today to give you all a progress report on how things are going in Animal Crossing: New Leaf for me. I am kind of short on time though, so expected this to be brief mostly. I am probably going to come back here later and add in some pictures of my house and stuff.

So to start off, my friend code for my 3DS is 5412-9992-6542 (Which you should see in my handy little content block to the right.), so PM me yours if you want to add me for whatever reason.

Oh, and my Dream Address for my town is 4700-2202-3933 (Which is also in my handy dandy content block.), so you could check out my town that way, if you want. Although there is really not much to see there since my town doesn't have much in terms of development.

I currently have Club LOL (Just got it today), Dream Suite, T & T Mart, Leif's Flower Shop, Able Sisters, Kicks, and Shampoodle (I will have that place soon) in my Main Street. My museum is currently in process of being upgrade (I just need to gather funds is all. EDITED: Funds have been gathered. I should have that upgrade by tomorrow.). I got 2 paintings, 34 bugs, 49 Fossils, and 41 fishes in my museum at the moment.

Hm...In terms of collected fossils there, I have a T-Rex, Styracosarus, Pachysarus, Archaeopteryx, Peking Man, Fern Fossil, Dinosaur Egg, Ammonite, Trilobite, Shark Tooth, Coprolite, Pteranodon, Apatosaurus, and Dimetrodon. I guess that's an alright exhibit of fossils. I am sure there are better collections out there.

In terms of projects, I have a Fire Hydrant, a campsite, a fence project (Which I use as garden for flowers), a hammock, and a second bridge. So yeah, like I said early, my town is really not that developed honestly. I currently have 8 Animal Villagers (One of them moved out on Wednesday because they want to see the "bigger world".). My house currently has a second floor, so it is on the fourth expansion (I believe). EDITED: Pictures of my house: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Oh, and in terms of fruit, my town fruit is Oranges. However I was able to import coconuts, pears, durians, mangoes, cherries, lychees, peaches, apples, and lemons to my town with help of people from here (Kohaku, Hahli Husky, Alku, Lyichir, and Avohkah Tamer. Thanks again to all those folks that help me out there.) and the island.

As for tools, I have a timer, an axe (I got two extra in case it breaks.), a watering can, a megaphone, a net, a slingshot, a fishing rod, a shovel, and a black wet suit, so I got most of important tools by now. I don't have any silver or gold versions though, but that's not surprising since I don't bell grind enough to get town projects done each day and well, it is still early on and all. That and I don't really know how to get most of them anyway. XD

Alright, I think last topic to cover here is clothes and well, I got a lot of clothes (Mostly headgear to be honestly. XD). I'll list most of them here, but I am probably not going to attach pictures as it will take too much time to really pull off well. Sorry, folks. But anyway, here is a list:
Hats / Masks
- Paperboy Cap
- DJ Cap
- Detective Hat
- Blue Nightcap
- Cow Bone
- Red Pikmin
- Hero's Cap
- Fi Mask
- Motocross Helmet
- Lion-Dance Mask
- Blue-Zap Helmet
- Knight's Helmet
- Toad Hat
- Midna's Mask
- Majora's Mask

Accessories
- Doctor's Mask
- Stache & Glasses
- Round Glasses
- Bad Bro's Stache
- King's Beard

Shirt(s)
- Work Shirt
- Sweater-Vest
- HHA Tee
- Blue-Stripe Tee
- Green Emblem Blazer
- Blue Aloha Tee

Pant(s) / Dress(es)
- Blue-Zap Pants
- Brown Formal Pants
- Kilt
- Overall Dress
- Default Shorts (I don't know what its name is since apparently they are bugged and will not actually go into inventory when you change pants.)

Shoe(s) / Sock(s)
- Hiking Boots
- Steel-Toed Boots
- Cleats
- Varia Suit Shoes
- Ninja Sandals
- Red Boat Shoes
- Gray Socks

So those clothes in Animal Crossing: New Leaf currently. And yes, folks, you did read right above. I do own a dress, so take that however you will (If you have a problem with it, I would appreciate if you kept it to yourself. Thanks.). I honest have no problem with it since I think it looks great, especially when I am wearing my Majora's Mask. That and it has added benefit of getting back my default shorts.

Alright, that's all I can really think of talking about here. I am sorry if it was kind of boring to read. Oh, and I hope you all have a great day and thanks for taking time to read this. I'll talk to you all later. See ya, BZPers.

Luigi-tastic Day at Best Buy

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Nintendo, Random Jun 15 2013 · 57 views

Hey, folks. I thought I would pop in to let you all know that I got to check out the E3 demos at Best Buy today and well, it was a fun day. And most importantly I got myself a free Luigi hat from attending that (Which I am extremely tempted to wear it during my day visit at BrickFair this year...[Yes, people, I can officially confirm that I will be there for a Saturday visit again; assuming of course, that visitor tickets don't sell out this month. Uh...It turns out this statement is false. I apologize for getting anyone hopes up (Especially my own.).]).

But anyway, I am sure you guys got better things to do than hear me recap my day to ya, so I'll leave you all be. Oh, and apologizes for sharing my ugly mug here again. But well, I had to show that picture here though since I love wearing this hat now. XD

Alright, I am kidding, folks. I tell you how Best Buy event went. Well, for starters, we were limited to only playing one of demos available, so naturally we didn't get to see a whole lot of gamepad related stuff such as for Wind Waker. We did get try out Super Mario 3D World and it was definitely quite a fun little demo of it, especially with friends. Although the level we play in demo wasn't particularly difficult really (Of course, that's not hugely surprising since it is just a demo.).

Oh, and I got quite a few Streetpasses there as well, so that was pretty nice as I been having Mii shortage since I start working full time and all. Hm...It was also nice in general getting to see other Nintendo fans for once in real life since I don't know about most people, but I usually don't know many people in real life that are big about gaming and stuff. *shrugs*

But anyway, overall it was a fun experience and I hope Nintendo tries to do something like this next year. That's all I really have energy to recap and well, I guess I could go on into more details and maybe mention our museum trip as well. But eh, I feel like I kept you long enough (Well, more like I am sleepy and I don't feel like typing a huge recap out here.).

Hm...Before I go, I thought I should mention here that my next entry here is probably going to be purely about Animal Crossing: New Leaf. So if you want to hear about my town and stuff, be on look out for that entry.

Alright, I am done for the day. I apologize if this entry was boring for ya. I hope you all have a great day and thanks for taking time to read this, folks. Night, BZPers.

Rambling

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Real Life, Random, LEGO Mar 23 2013 · 64 views

Hey, folks. I thought I would pop in today to share some thoughts that have been on my mind lately. No doubt this will be a very boring for you folks to read. But hey, this is a blog, so I might as used it for its designed purpose. :P

Alright, so to begin, I guess I can mention that I got LEGO City: Undercover recently for the Wii U. And what do I think of it? I honestly loved it. The humor is great. The story & the voice acting involved is pretty good. Really everything about it seems good to me.

Well, then again, there is one thing that I don't like and that is load times (They are pretty bad. Luckily they don't happen too often.). Although I think Wii U itself is more at fault than game itself. *shrugs* Hm...I also don't like that I don't have means to save on my own really since it kind of annoying having to depend on the game to autosave things.

As for work related stuff, things have been pretty good. I am still quite busy with quotes, which is kind of good (Since quotes means we could be getting orders for those parts, if our prices are viewed as fair enough to the buyers. And that's obviously a good thing because orders are the life force of the company.). Although I definitely can't say I am fan of working with quotes since they kind of trapped me at my desk for hours on end and there generally pretty dull since most of time, I don't get to model anything in SolidWorks. That and front office has a habit of doing things with quotes without telling Engineering department first.

But hey, they got to get done and I honestly trust myself to get it done correctly more so than some of my co-workers since I never cut corners in anything that I work on. And beside, my boss is trying to gradually get me out of working on quotes since he does feel my efforts would be better serve releasing books, especially considering we got a lot of jobs now coming in.

Although it would help if my friend would come to Engineering department more often since I am supposed to be training him to take the reigns for model based definition quotes. But unfortunately he still has a lot of scanning to do in the Inspection department, it seems. *shrugs* But yeah, that sums up work in a nut shell.

*yawn* Well, it is kind of late here, so I guess I can call this an entry and posted it. I mean yeah, I didn't really ramble a whole lot here, but honestly I am pretty sure you folks have better things to do with your time than read an entry from loser known as JMJ here. So yeah, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day. Night, BZPers.

Random Life Update

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Real Life Feb 28 2013 · 83 views

Hey, folks. Its been awhile since I post an entry here (You can blame working full time for that. And well, I am not having the best of time managing my free time. Sorry about that.), so I thought I take a few minutes to post a short update entry of sorts.

So yeah, life been treating me pretty well lately. I can't complain really. Well, I can complain a little that my job has been a bit stressful lately. Enough so, that my latent nerves issue is starting to make a come back since I am having a lot of stomach problems lately.

But eh, I am alright. Its nothing to get to worry about. I am just getting stress out a bit by some of pressure that I am feeling from dealing with all these quote jobs (Seriously I had like 2 quotes left last Saturday and by this Monday, I got 38 new quotes that are due in less than a week [Thankfully I do have a bit of help and we have knock it down a bit since then.]. Argh...).

But anyway, enough work talk (Since after all, I doubt you guys are interested in hearing me talk about work here. *shrugs*)....Uh, what I should talk about here? Well, I guess I could mention that I named my first three familiars in Ni No Kuni after Spike (from MLP: FiM), Momo (from Avatar: TLA), and Tingle (from the Legends of Zelda).

I also unfortunately hadn't read much else of Hyrule Historia since my last entry here because well, I kind of worried it will tempted me to read Skyward Sword spoilers and I don't want to do that since I feel it will spoil my experience of the game (Which speaking of that, I really need to get around to playing that again.). So yeah, no Hyrule Historia until I beat Skyward Sword, which I am probably not going to get back to playing that until after I beat Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Speaking of that, I am currently on chapter 9 of that so far and I must say I am liking it mostly. Oh, and for those wondering, I am playing it on easier difficult mode since otherwise I am going to throw my 3DS out a window since I absolutely refuse to let anyone die. So yeah, I am wimp. Heck, I even put on my streetpass card that I am a total loser. XD

Well, it is getting late, so I better head off for the night. Apologizes for short and boring entry, folks. I hope you all are having a good week. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Good Night, BZPers.

*Zelda Treasure Music plays*

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Random Feb 05 2013 · 120 views

I got the things! :)

***

Hey, folks. I just thought I pop in really quick to tell you that I just got my copy of Hyrule Historia today in the mail. Of course, I didn't just get that today, I also got my copy of Ni No Kuni. YAY! :)

And man, I am conflicted about which to unwrap first since I know whichever one I choose, I will end up getting full adsorb in for rest of my night's worth of free time.

Hm...Maybe I should ask you all which one that I should unwrap first? Nah, I can do that myself, especially considering that would required me to wait even longer to unwrap them since you folks usually don't comment here for me instantly. :P

Uh, I was going to talk about something else here as well, but I think I hear something calling my name. So yeah, thanks for taking the time to read this short entry and I hope you all have a good day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

...

*runs off to play Ni No Kuni*

*unwraps Hyrule Historia instead and start reading it* :P
