General Rambling: Apollo Justice, Life, ect.

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, Video Games, Random May 26 2014 · 132 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in today and let you all know how things are going lately since it has been awhile.
Hm...Where to begin? Well, to start right off, I beat Apollo Justice yesterday. I must say it was fun ride, especially that last case.
Really that case alone kind tipped my opinion of the game from being mixed to loving it. I just love how all threads from Apollo's cases all seem to come together for that case. It was great. That and well, I really like the characters in this game (Ema, Prosecutor Gavin, Apollo Justice, ect.).
So with that said, where I rank this game in comparison to three other games? Well, let's take a look, folks.
- Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations
- Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice
- Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright
- Ace Attorney: Justice For All
Hm...I should probably note that I actually would probably Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice on equal ground (as in they both would been number 2 on my list). But I felt new mechanics introduced in Apollo Justice did give a bit of an edge, so I ended up placing it ahead of Phoenix Wright for that reason.
*shrugs* Really its kind hard ranking these games as for most part, I like them all a lot. So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if how I am ranking these games now suddenly changes if I were to play one of them again.
But anyway, with Apollo Justice done, I guess I'll be moving on to Ace Attorney Investigations now. I am not sure if I am going start it today though (Considering its like almost 10 PM here, I don't exactly have time to start it anyway today.). I might wait till the weekend.
Alright, moving right along, I guess I'll talk a bit about life here. Uh...Not much is really going on me, beside usual stuff (Go to work, sit on my computer for hours on end, ect.). *shrugs*
I guess its worth mentioning that my sister got her license recently (and well, a car. She has Chevrolet Spark.), so I guess I probably be working on getting mines now. Well, actually there is not guessing involved since they bugged me for major of this weekend about it. That being said I hadn't actually gone out driving this weekend. It just...I don't really feel very comfortable about the idea right now. *shrugs*
Uh...I was going to ramble about more stuff here, but considering how late it is now, I should probably just call it here. I am sorry if this entry was kind of a dull read. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Recap: My Visit to Philly BrickFest

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in BZPower, Real Life, LEGO Apr 29 2014 · 178 views

Hey, folks. I thought I would pop in and give a little recap on how my visit to Philly BrickFest went. And well, show you my photos from the event. Although I should note that I am not good photographer. So if you expecting quality photos, wait for BZP Staff coverage of it.
But anyway, I guess I'll start by linking to my photos since I am sure most of you don't want to read my rambling about it here. So yeah, here are following albums that you can check out:
Bionicle Photos
DelVaLUG Photos
PennLUG / Trains Photos
Sci-Fi Photos
Snail Photos
Vehicle Photos
Other Photos
Alright, with that out of the way, I guess I can begin with recap of my visit. I am not sure where to begin really. I mean a lot happen that day. Although I doubt everything will be interesting for you folks to read. Oh, well. I am sure you will just skim read this anyway.
So to begin, I guess I mention that my visit took place on a Saturday (April 26th). I was very excited for it, especially the night before. And well, that excitement was enough to make me wake up at like 5 AM (Which is quite rare for me as I don't like the morning.). Of course, I didn't leave for the place at 5 AM. That would of been crazy early and my friend wasn't even up yet.
Of course, I didn't actually leave my bed until it was like 6 AM. I then went downstairs, made breakfast, text my friend, chill on Twitter, ect. After a couple of hours, my friend arrived at my house to pick me up (It was around 8 AM.).
Hm...I am not going to talk about car ride since it rather uneventful. After all, we got to Expo center around 8:50 AM.
Now initially, we got a bit confused since apparently there was two lines for the place (One for people that brought tickets beforehand and one for people buying it at the door.).
I got say that was kind of annoying, especially considering nothing on their website even seem to suggest that public passes were purchasable online. I mean I did a website search beforehand and I found nothing but AFOL registration tickets. So yeah, no idea how those people knew where to look.
But anyway, after being corrected, we stood in line waiting until they open the doors to public, which was around 10 AM. However my line didn't get to go in until a bit later since obviously the other line take priority as they have tickets already (Nothing wrong with that, although there were plenty of irritated people in my line about that.).
Oh, I forgot to mention that while waiting for doors to open, we got a map, some sort of Clone Wars Poster, and two sort of ad things from the event's sponsors, I guess.
The map was rather small and not very useful. I mean it didn't have many callouts for a lot of tables. Most just said MOC table, which is rather obvious considering this is a LEGO event. It made finding the Bionicle Table, not an easy task (BrickFair VA has it beat in this regard as Bionicle Table was extreme easy to find there or at least it was during my visit.). I also end up throwing it away since I got it wet. Not going to explain how that happen since it rather embarrassing, so let's leave it at that.
As for the poster, my friend threw his away since he doesn't like Star Wars. I also threw mines away, but only because I had nowhere to put it. I probably should worn that backpack I left in the car with an umbrella. It especially would of help me carry my hoodie easier as I had to juggle it through the event in my hands since I got way too hot to wear it. So if I learn anything from this, its that I should pick a bag with me.
Lastly, the sponsor ad things, I kept those for some weird reason. I guess it was just because it was easy to fit in my hoodie pockets.
But anyway, after they let our line head in and we brought tickets, we join the line of people entering the main Expo Hall. And man, there was a lot of people there. I guess the LEGO Movie airing this year might be part of reason for this. Not that I am saying these events don't get a lot of people. I mean my visit to BrickFair VA had a lot people there too.
For some reason though, this place felt extra crowded though. But then again, I guess this Expo center is bigger than one that hosts BrickFair VA (I could be wrong though as my memory is kind fuzzy. I mean my visit to BrickFair VA was back in 2012.), so naturally more people can get in.
Speaking of the LEGO Movie, this place was filled with spaceship MOCs. Benny would been proud. And he was actually there to see it too (I don't mean just Benny Minifigures. They had someone dress as Benny there to take photographs with fans. That poor person in that costume must of been awful hot.).
But anyway, we basically start going all over place taking the pictures that you see in the albums above. I should note that I did a miss a couple tables since I was having camera trouble at the beginning. I was trying to figure out how to get my father's camera to work without picture staying on the screen until I click a button. So all photos that you see above were instead taken from a Phone camera, so the pictures might not be that great. Sorry.
While I was taking pictures, I was, of course, on the lookout for Bionicle Table. I didn't actually get to it though until the end of our visit. However I did find where it was before then (The table was packed with people at the time.) and I stare at Black Six from afar like I had before at BrickFair VA (Because I am weird.). XD
I guess the question now is: Did I say hi to Black Six? The answer is yes, I did greet him after he remark about me trying to hide behind my camera. I even shown him the sticker note that I prepared for the occasion. So I would say that it went better than expected, although it probably helps that I had a friend with me.
Of course, as well as greeting Black Six went, my anxiety decided to appear as I went over to sign BZP Logbook for event. It got triggered when I accidental knock over one of MOCs near the book and instinctively try to fix my error when I should known better than touch the MOC. It got worst when Black Six remarked, "Was I trying to break it?" I get it was done in joking fashion, but my brain at the time begin to worried that I might of broken it when I try to fix it.
After that remark, I try to shift my focus to just signing the logbook as quick as I could before I cause more damage. Of course, I had stupidly start to write my real name under the username line, so I end up trying to scribble that out and write my username over top of it (I should of use the pencil, I brought.).
Embarrassed from those two moments, I try to move away from the table and well, I start to shake a little as I reflected on my actions and worried what Black Six must think. This was kind of the reason there isn't a lot of Bionicle pictures as this silly little anxiety made it hard for me to focus the camera while I was there. I am sorry about that.
But anyway, outside of my failures in a social situation, I did manage to get a Prototype piece from Black Six (Its same as one that I got before, so I got two now. =D). I actually did mean to give Black Six something back (I brought some TNG Miru to give to anyone that I may of met there.), but he unfortunately disappeared after fixing the railing for Bionicle Table (I guess to go have lunch.).
Speaking of things I brought with me, I had my BIONILUG brick in my pocket. I am not sure why I brought that really. I guess I want to use it as Attorney Badge or something. XD
Alright, so after we have finished getting pictures of Bionicle table, we decided to head out and get some lunch. We drove up to King of Prussia Mall and had something to eat there (I had grilled cheese like I always do. See I wasn't lying when I said I always ordered grilled cheese at restaurants). I pay for our meal there. We were going to try and split it, but I decided it would be easier to pay the whole thing. Beside, it was a way to pay my friend back for driving me up here.
And well, that's about it. I mean we pretty much just drove home after that. I don't really have much else to really say about our visit really. Well, I guess it worth mentioning that we did get some streetpass stuff, while we were there. I think my friend beat Find Mii for first time there. As for me, I am very close to beating final boss in Find Mii II (I still got three Miis from that day that I need to use, so I might end up beating it next time I turn my 3DS on.).
Oh, and my friend and I were talking about future hangouts for us and there is slight possibility that we will be doing a day trip to BrickFair VA again (Assuming nothing comes up this time like a surprise wedding. =P).
Okay, that's enough from me for today. Overall it was a pretty fun trip and I definitely would do it again, if I could. I apologize if this was kind of boring read. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

22 Years of Life and 4 Years of Employment

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Real Life Apr 20 2014 · 127 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in and share how my B-Day went today.
Really there is not much to say. I didn't exactly do anything special. I mostly just treated it like a normal day. Well, I should say a normal weekend day as otherwise I would been at work for most of the day.
But anyway, I basically I just watched a lot of Star Trek: The Next Generation today (I am currently on season 3.). So yeah, I wouldn't say it is very productive or eventful day. Not that I am complaining though as I like chill days like this.
Hm...What else should I mention? Well, I got some cards from relatives and I also got two gifts from a friend of mines. Uh...I had some cake with my dinner. I unfortunately don't have a picture of it though. It basically looks like an Easter Egg, if you really that curious. Oh, and I have some chocolates too.
That's all I really have to say about my birthday. As a side note, yesterday was my 4th anniversary of being employed. I don't really anything say about that, beside obvious that I am rather graceful to still have this job.
In other news, it seems that next Saturday (April 26th) my friend and I are going to check out the public day for Philly BrickFest, so that I should be a fun little trip (Its much shorter trip than one to BrickFair VA.). I'll be sure to take a bunch of pictures from that to show you folks. Oh, and if you are also going, I probably be wearing my BZPower shirt, so I probably be easy to notice (Whether or not I can buck up courage to introduce myself to anyone is the real question.).
Alright, that's enough from me for today. I apologize if this was kind of boring read. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Some thoughts about my future...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, Random Jan 26 2014 · 132 views

Hey, folks. I thought I should take some time and well, talk about the future a little here. Well, I guess I should say my thoughts about my personal future or at least of my expectations of it at this point. So yeah, this might be a long entry, so i wouldn't blame you if you left now.
So to start right off, back in December of 2012, I graduated with an associate degree from a local community college. Now I bring this up because I often ask by coworkers or just other people in general on whether or not I plan on getting a higher degree. And to be honest with you folks, I am not really sure.
I went through last year (2013) working full time at my job (Which I had since I was in 12th grade / First Semester of College.) and I got say I enjoy the freedom of not having worried about studying for something.
There's also the fact that I have managed to avoid getting into any debt when I was getting my education at my community college, which is something that I couldn't possible avoid if I went back to school at this point in time. So yeah, the idea of going back and willing myself into debt kind of scares me off a little (Especially if I can't find a job with my degree.).
Additionally, I would have take courses like public speaking, which would be very difficult to do. Like I don't know about you folks, but I never been able to willing open myself up to a crowd of strangers. I always preferred to be low-key, forgettable, easy to miss, ect. because it makes me uncomfortable being the center of attention and it particularly why I dropped an English course during my second semester as I couldn't handle having to read my essays out loud to the class. *shrugs*
I don't know. I guess its just a case of me being strange, but I feel like it would make going back to college even more stressful as I have to fight against my nature try to do well.
That being said though, I can definitely see the benefit in aiming for higher education as it will open more options career wise for myself. It just a hard decision to make is all. *shrugs*
Alright, I am going to move on from college topic of the future. What else is there? Well, I would like have my driver license by this year hopefully. There's not much to say on that though, beside that I had at least four driving lessons so far (I hadn't been able to do more due to all the winter storms lately.) and that I need to work on getting turning down.
*yawn* You know I think I rambled enough about here. That and well, its late here, so I think I'll call it a night. I am sorry if it was kind of boring read for you folks. Thanks for taking the time to read though. I hope you all have a great day. Night, BZPers.

Belated Saturday Haul - Learner's Permit Edition

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Real Life Nov 22 2013 · 123 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in and do another "Saturday Haul" for you folks. Yeah, I know I am kind of late with this.
But anyway, as the title says, last Saturday I got my Learner's Permit again, which is good, I guess. Uh...I mean I am happy that I will be learning to drive again as it will open up opportunities for me in the future (Such as being able to move out and possibly find work outside my current mile ratio, ect.).
Although at same time...I'll admit that I am kind of scare. I don't how to explain it really, but I just never well, feel...confidence behind the wheel of a car. There's something well, scary about driving a vehicle... I guess its fear of getting into accident or something. *shrugs*
So yeah, I kind of have a bit mixed feelings about this really.
... In other news, I played a bit of Okami last Saturday. That game is pretty fun, I must say. (Thanks again to Chols for suggesting that I get it.)
Uh...I am not sure what else to say here really. I mean I guess I could talk about the Korra finale, but I doubt you folks want to hear my thoughts on it. *shrugs*
*yawn* I am just going to call this entry. Sorry, if it was kind of dull read for you folks. I hope you all have a good day and thank you for at least taking time to read this entry. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Belated Saturday Haul - Minifigure / Rambling Edition

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, LEGO, Random Nov 13 2013 · 122 views

Hey, folks. Sorry, it been awhile since I wrote an entry here. That's mostly because I been playing the first Phoenix Wright game last week and well, it kind of ate up all my free time. The funny thing is I hadn't even finish that game yet. I am still working on case 5 of that game. XD
Oh, and I got to say case 5 might just be my favorite case due to fact that so far it looks like I can actual build a solid case as I have more evidence and information compared to previous cases. So yeah, I am kind of like having Ema as my sidekick more than Maya at the moment (Science beats summoning your sister's spirit any day. =P).
But anyway, last Saturday, I ended getting four Series 11 Minifigures since there was a nice little deal going on at my local TRU at the time. No doubt you wondering which ones. Well, I got the Scientist, the Saxophone Player, and two Scarecrows. I think its a pretty nice haul, if I do say so myself. Admittedly I do wish I got Evil Mech instead of two Scarecrows though. XD
Oh, well, having two Scarecrows is not that bad really. I mean he does has a neat little hat with a bird attached to it, after all. Hm...Speaking of LEGO related stuff, the 2014 line of Hero Factory and Ninjago definitely look like they are up my avenue. I'll definitely be trying to snatch some of those sets next year, if I can. How about you?
In other non-LEGO news, apparently I am getting...a raise tomorrow. Not sure how to feel about that exactly. I mean I am happy that I will be able to make a little more money in a week. But I don't know if I really deserve it. *shrugs*
Alright, I think I rambled enough here. Thanks for taking the time to read this, folks. I hope you all have a great day. Talk to later, BZPers.

Saturday Haul - Lawyer Edition

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Video Games, Real Life Nov 04 2013 · 139 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in sharing what I got in mail last Saturday since well, why not.
So uh, here is a picture of my haul from Saturday. As you can tell from picture, I brought a bunch of DS games from Phoenix Wright series. Why did I buy them? Because my boss always say I should be a lawyer due to my attention to detail skills, so I thought "hey, let play a lawyer situlatior then."
lol Okay, that's not the real reason. My real reason for getting it was because I try to Dual Destinies demo awhile back and I thought "Hey, this looks interesting. Maybe I should give the series a look."
And well, as you can see above, I ended up deciding to buy all four previous games (Not including Dual Destinies, which I might buy later, if other games keep my interest.) in the series. So far, I am on near the end of the third case in the first one and I am liking it, so I hadn't regret make this purchase yet. I guess I could keep you folks posted on that, if you want.
Oh, and I am probably not going to be playing Pokemon at all this week due to these games since I kind want to try to push myself to get through most of them this week, if possible. We'll see how well that goes. XD
Alright, so beside the games, I also got my copy of The Search, Part 3 and man, I thought it was good. I especially like how it humanize Zuko's mother. I won't say anymore than that, so I don't spoil things for you folks. But yeah, I certainly like the series. I am looking forward to Toph's trilogy next year.
That's all I really have to talk about, folks. I guess I can take this time though to remind you that I am hosting some raffles and all you got to do to enter is leave a comment in the entry. So yeah, if you want some free TNG Miru or a BZPower shirt, you should probably check that out.
Alright, with that said, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you have a great day. Talk to later, BZPers.

Tuma-tastic Night (Nightly Rambling)

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, Random Aug 07 2013 · 68 views

Hey, folks. I am just pop in to just give a general update with me since again, why not since I don't got anything better to do.
Now before anyone say, "Wait...I thought you were going to be gone for rest of month or something," I should point out to you that I say I was thinking about taking an internet break, not "Oh, yeah, I am definitely taking one."  So yeah, that may still happen or it may not. Of course, that don't mean I am not doing anything to proactive this month to be more healthy as I actually have been cutting back on certain foods (I also been pulling a lot of effort in drinking more water.) and I am planning on arranging some time to exercise during my day as well.
By no means will this like happen overnight or something, if anything it probably take a couple of months get into the swing of it fully. Also I am probably not going to share my progress on it here too much since I honestly I never been very comfortable talking about my weight with people (So yeah, there is definitely not going to be like weightloss entries here that denote how much I weight and stuff.). *shrugs*
Oh, and as for my plans for taking a shore trip, it looks like my sister isn't up for it, so I probably just going to save my vacation time for later. *shrugs* Actually I might take a small shore trip in September since staying at hotel there will be cheaper at that time anyway and beside, it would be nice to maybe get swim this year as it is one of rare physical activity that I actually enjoy, beside riding a bike (Which even that, I don't do enough of. I will be trying to change that this month though.). Again, I am not really sure to be honest. Never been a planner really.
Alright, enough rambling about real life stuff, how about we talk about...MakutaFest 2013? Well, I don't got much to say, beside it was quite entertaining to listen to like usual. It did have quite a bit of technical issues, which was kind of annoying in places as it made more difficult to follow what was going on exactly (Of course, I could listen to recorded version later, so that's not that big of a deal really.). Still it was good and Lord Tuma definitely seem quite pleased with it from what I hear/saw during the event. =P
Hm...Oh, does anyone want me to pay your Dream Town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf a visit? I been working on visiting a bunch of Dream Towns lately. So yeah, if you have dream address, feel free to share it with me and I should get around to visiting at some point.
*yawn* Well, it is getting late and as much as I love to keep rambling, I really should go to bed. Beside, it is not like I have anything interesting to talk about here really. I mean I live pretty dull life, so I doubt its that interesting to you folks. *shrugs* Alright, with that said, thanks for reading this dull entry and I hope you all have a great day. Night, BZPers.

Random Friday Thoughts

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, LEGO, Real Life Aug 02 2013 · 77 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in to share some thoughts again since well, why not? I mean I hadn't read any of you folks complaining about it, so I might as well.
So where to start? Well, I guess I could point out that I added my Skype, YiM, and AIM contact details to my profile here now, so you can add me if you want. I don't really make much of use of any of them though (Especially Skype, which is kind of a pain to log in to.). Oh, and its in content block here too, so you can find it there as well.
In other news, I manage to get myself some batteries for my digital dial calipers, so I could probably get back to reverse-engineering LEGO bricks in Autodesk Inventor for fun. We'll see, I guess.
Speaking of LEGO stuff, this little beauty is out now and man, I wish it wasn't out of stock online. :( Oh, and I still have not build or open my Lord of Rings sets from last year (Attack on Weathertop, The Orc Forge, The Battle of Helm's Deep, and The Mines of Moria.). I should get to doing that. Although I need to resolve the space issue before I can do that though (Which required looking through stacks of paperwork from school...Oh, joy.). Additionally I need to get fish tank clean and ready for fish again, so those boxes will probably sit for another month or so un-open.
Moving right along, you BrickFair folks have all been doing good job of making me want an actual vacation from work this summer (Since really all I did during my one week off was hang around house.), so I probably going to take a brief shore trip sometime this month. I am not sure when yet since I am working it around my sister's schedule since well, she has been wanting a break from kids at YMCA for awhile now. Not that it matters to you folks really since it is not like I am going to convention or something. But eh, I thought it was worth mentioning. *shrugs*
Hm...I guess I can talk about work this week. It been kind of dull for me since all I been up to is getting like four assembly manufacturing books ready for release next week (Plus, three rework books that are waiting on my desk to be review by one of my bosses, which we are waiting on Boeing to return one more box set to us.). But eh, I can't complain. It is much better than just doing quotes all day.
Alright, that's mostly today's thoughts. Well, beside the obvious, which is I wish I could done a day trip to BrickFair again. But hey, that's life and it is kind of my fault for not having my license by now. XD
Oh, wait...I almost forgot. I am getting my friend Animal Crossing: New Leaf for his birthday this year since he actually expressed interest in it, surprisingly enough. So it would be pretty cool to hang out with him on there and help him out, where I can (I mean I do have most of fruits. All I am missing is bananas, I think.). That should be fun. :)
Okay, with that said, I think that's it for this entry. I am sorry if it was kind of dull read and I hope you all have a good day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Random Thoughts of the Day

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Real Life, BZPower Jul 29 2013 · 81 views

Hey, BZPers. I am just popping in to share some random thoughts that I had today. So this entry is nothing special really.
Oh, and before I start, I really recommend you folks check out the music here by the talent BZPower member, snoip lion. It is really good. It kind makes me wish that something tangible actually came out of BNG, beside the awesome beta music. But eh, they dreamt too big, I suppose. *shrugs*
Alright, moving on from that plug, I guess I should mention why I hadn't post the raffle entry yet and well, it is mostly because Zelda Symphony threw me off last week. That and well, I am kind thinking I should push it back till September since BrickFair and Titans & Monsters contest are happening in August and all. *shrugs* What do you think, folks?
Oh, wait, some of you might not know what I am talking about. Basically I am planning on hosting kind of raffle here to give away some of last year's BZPower shirts and some Lime Green Miru that I have.
Hm...Speaking of August, I been thinking about maybe taking a break from BZPower and the internet in general after this week since I think it might help me actively work on my weight problem. I mean I am already working on bettering my diet, but I think removing my computer access to internet might encourage me more to exercise in my day (Which is something that I don't get much of due to having a 8 AM to 5:30 PM office job that mostly involves working on a computer.). *shrugs*
Maybe I shouldn't of mention this actually since now people are probably going to make funny of me for being overweight. :( Argh...I wish weight-loss was easy. ... ...
Uh...Let's move on to something else. Uh, how's the weather been for you folks? It feels almost like spring where I am, so it been good for me. :)
I...I can't think of any more thoughts to share, sorry. So that's all I got for you folks today. I am sorry if this was kind of boring for you to read. I hope you all have a great day. Talk to later, BZPers.
