Here is another new theme for 2013, which seems to be TLC's official realization of the Space Marine project on Cuusoo.

Looks awesome. Glad to see some official pictures for this, finally. Unfortunately the CUUSOO Space Marine project is now quite unlikely to be approved...

Well, looks like a great line. I must agree with Chro, above me: Space Marine Project on CUUSOO is now, kind of, fired.

Just a thing: am I the only one who sees a resemblance between that robot-thing's helmet with one of the helmets of LEGO Universe ( and I don't think I'm wrong if I say Space Marauder's )?

I'm going crazy over that new helmet for the good guys, along with the blue marine (who looks like a cyborg). Not to mention all that other cool stuff.

I'm so hyped for this. However, I think the Space Swarmer is the only one that truly has amazing design. The entire design is compact yet incredibly detailed for a set of it's size. Plus, that dark red is beautiful.

Also, you can report your topic and state that you'd like the title changed.

Nice pieces... Glad to see a more Space-y Space theme (unlike Alien Conquest, which was more earthbound). Reminds me a bit of Insectoids.

I'll definitely be asking for some of these VERY soon.

So it appears that each set has it's own "unit", each with it's own robot helper. However, I find it odd that none of these larger sets really hold any interest for me. The only set I would consider purchasing is the Space Swarmer.

My favorite so far from what we've seen is the set next to the green marine in the instructions, with the tank and mech. But all of them look decent.

The trans-purple cocoon things remind me of Tridax pods, actually. Anyone else see that?

Dude these are cool. Really channeling some old school space in there (like how the ships can combine and un-combine). If I have the spare cash for these I might pick one up.

The only correlation with Monster Fighters that I see was the comic in the Lego Club Magazine, in which Lord Vampyre's evil plan (which is still laughable) culminated with the summoning of the bug aliens. I see that less as a story tie-in and more as a forced means of getting a preview out.

Keep in mind that the people behind that plan were monsters and most of them were either already dead/undead or somehow supernatural. And besides, that was really just a frame story to provide an excuse for a theme about steampunkish heroes fighting classic movie monsters. Which, for an adult fan, should be plenty enjoyable even if you ignore the story entirely.

No you aren't. The orange robot's helmet looks a bit like Mark V helmet, on the lower part.

Those are robots, not humans. The humans have the same helmets as the second year of Space Police, but in awesome colors. The robots and bugs have special head molds.

Speaking of awesome colors and robots, I wonder if (as I said earlier) there'll be new squads in the second wave (assuming it happens, and I hope so). Purple, maybe azure? I'd suggest a yellow squad but that'd look a bit strange.

Not yet, as far as I know. They're out in Winnipeg, of course, so depending on location I figure they should be out by the end of the year, easily.
