  1. 9DRC 2014 (Toa Mata, Mata Nui and Teridax) Here are all the revamp from this year 9 Day Revamp To Christmas. That I have done on my flickr and DeviantART. The 9 revamp are Furno, Evo, Surge, Stormer, Stringer, Fortis, Breez, Nex and Rocka. --> NOTE THE DEVIANT PICTURE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE FLICKR <-- Day 1: Furno deviantART | flickr Day 2: Evo deviantART | flickr Day 3: Stormer deviantART | flickr Day 4: Surge deviantART | flickr Day 5: Stringer deviantART | flickr Day 6: Fortis deviantART | flickr Day 7: Breez deviantART | flickr Day 8: Nex deviantART | flickr Day 9: Rocka deviantART | flickr Hope you all like theses revamp and would like hear you honest opinion and criticism about these.
  2. Just a few creations I built a while ago but work kept me from uploading them. Breez http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Breez-Techno-organic-Experiment-578986130 This one I was planning on making for a while as well, I did mix a little Queen of Blades into this one as well as a hint of Poison Ivy too when building, though the lower legs aren't my favorite part but with what I had it works. Detail shots: http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Breez-Back-579102346 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Breez-Size-579102844 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Breez-and-Chompy-579104216 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Chompy-Front-579105637 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Chompy-Back-579105940 As for the little critter, I wanted create a "pet" for Breez which at first was supposed to the a quadruped Venus-flytrap like creature but instead I went with a two legged walking mouth, it kinda looks like the Hulk version of Pac-man. Rocka http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rocka-VIP-Bodyguard-578937154 This one is pretty much an updated version of the 'revamp' I made quite a while back. Though I must mention that the neck articulation is a little limited due to the big back armor. Detail shots: http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rocka-Arm-Cannon-578982479 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rocka-Back-578982903 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rocka-Size-578983390 Evo http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Evo-Support-Class-578545206 (note I switched the glatorian head piece to a trans green one instead of orange at the point of the making of this post) This one is a pre-spec ops version of Evo, I also planned on giving him more than one attachment but at the moment of it's creation I wanted to keep the yellow pieces for another revamp I will post soon. Detail shots: http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Evo-Back-578552368 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Evo-Size-578552816 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Evo-W-A-S-P-578553113 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/W-A-S-P-Back-578561536 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/W-A-S-P-Side-578562408 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Evo-Comparison-578563638 Stringer http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Stealth-Stringer-578540950 This one was mostly based on Metal Gear Solid, I even planned on giving him a box, but I kinda forgot about it with the busy days I had lately >.> But, I should be able to make it sometime soon. Detail shots: http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Stringer-Front-578543136 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Stringer-Back-578543758 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Stringer-Side-578543978 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Stringer-Size-578544281 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/System-Fail-578544737 Rotor http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rotor-2015-Revamp-578534190 Thought I give this fella a little upgrade, only kept the legs with minor changes as those looked solid as they were by default, and before anyone points out yes he has long arms, but if he stands up properly proportion wise it should be okay, yes the torso is a little stubby too, but then again he soars the sky he can't be too big either, plus he is a ROBOT, who don't have to follow human proportions as well. Detail shots: http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rotor-Back-578537493 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rotor-Back-Close-up-578537886 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rotor-Arm-Cannon-578538196 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rotor-Other-Arm-578538699 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Rotor-Size-578539467
  3. This is my HF RPG character. Opinions?
  4. Hi, guys! I know that Hero Factory ended a year ago. If any of you guys remembered and feel sad about that, this topic may be able to cheer you up. If Hero Factory were to come back somehow, would you want a re-continuation or a reboot? For me, I would love a re-continuation. If the theme were to be re-continued, the theme would be where Episode 9: Breakout, Part 2 left off, as there is a cliffhanger where a mysterious and shadowed villain, whose arm looks like Von Nebula's, opened the Hero Factory plans stolen by Black Phantom. He laughs evilly as he seems to plan to create a Villain or Anti-Hero Factory, which would create evil versions of Hero Factory Heroes, according to Black Phantom and Mr. Makuro. These evil creations could be powered by a substance called Anti-Quaza, which is an evil version of the Heroes' good substance called Quaza. The villain would be revealed as Von Nebula the whole time as he plans to lead an army of Anti-Heroes to destroy that Hero Factory and perhaps take over the galaxy and/or the universe. It is up to the Alpha 1 Team to stop them. The story would be finished after that. The End. When we heard that Universal Studios is planning to get the rights for a live-action Hero Factory movie, this would be a perfect chance for the movie to happen. I got my ideas here a long time ago: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/15437-what-would-you-think-the-live-action-hero-factory-movie-should-look-like/?fromsearch=1 If HF would get a reboot instead, I could see that it would be reasonable because Hero Factory seems to be nothing but a memory and it ended a year ago. The reboot would satisfy new fans in the future. Hero Factory G2 could go along Bionicle G2. For the story in the reboot, everything would start all over again, like how Spider-Man movies, Transformers TV shows, and Bionicle got rebooted. It would take place in a new universe, where HF is doing the same drill: fighting evil and crime and stop disasters. The Alpha 1 Team would return and fight either new villains, similar to Bionicle G2, or fighting the old ones from HF G1. The characters would look different in some ways. The Alpha 1 Team would be like this: 1. Stormer, Bulk, and Stringer would be either median or large sets because they are veteran members of the team. Well, I would prefer Bulk looking Hulk-ish, too. 2. Furno, Surge, Breez, Nex, Evo, and Rocka would be either small or medium sets because they are rookies who would then get promoted into veterans throughout the story. 3. Nex, Evo, and Rocka would appear later in the story. I would like to see Zib, Quadal, Mr. Makuro, perhaps Daniella Capricorn and her camera robot, and the G1 villains make a comeback. There would better character development and not-rushed storylines. The media would be a new TV show, where each season has 10-13 episodes, comic and chapter books, and the movie. For the sets, there would be a new building system. Anyway, what do you guys? Re-continuation or reboot? If you choose one, how you would like it to be? Just asking. (Please don't say something like "I doubt any of this would happen" or something like that.)
  5. http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Voltix-2015-Redux-562588515 "Prisoner named Voltix escaped during a prison transfer, reports say he hijacked a cargo ship heading off planet. After days of search, the energy signature of the cargo ship's engine in a near system. The trail led to a planet seemingly uncharted as there is no information can be found in our databanks. A scouting party was sent to find the convict. According to reports the planet was full of only organic life-forms and fauna. Though contact with the locals were avoided, the damage showed that Voltix didn't have a problem with the inhabitants' presence. Though we could not translate their language, they seemed to talk of a sort of energy supply. something which will need further study but that is for our R&D team. Eventually the scouting team found the electric villains trail. They even managed to give us a visual of him too. His chest seemed to have a strange energy orb embedded into it that slightly cracked his armor around it too. His body increased in mass somewhat as he constructed a strange dynamo like machine on his back, possibly using up the cargo ship for it. Along with that he replaced his arm with an electric-pulse cannon which was caught on video as it fries one of the scouting party members. Needless to say the team barely made it out, claiming that their shots got deflected by a shield, and Voltix seemed to sense them, possibly able to sense electric pulses in a machine and in organic creatures, making it impossible to sneak up on him. The capture of this convict will require our R&D team to figure out a stealth system that cam mask any sign of energy out put." Got an idea a while back, plus I wanted to use the chest piece from the Chima set for something. Though I still have some purple left which I suppose I could use for a G2 Makuta once they release Umarak the Hunter (he'll come with the Mask of Control). Plus I also wanted to put the little gunmetal pieces I have, though some still are left. 6. http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Black-Phantom-Servant-of-the-Spider-562599898 "Report came in that the dangerous villain Black Phantom got out of his max-security cell, taking a barely fueled ship, thankfully the ship had an active beacon and we were able to follow him easily. However, when the assigned party found the downed ship, most likely due to the lack of fuel during re-entry, there were strange scratch marks on the ship as if it was attacked by local creatures, yet the only footprints were his. The ship's security cameras were still on up until we found it. Since the scouting party found no sign of the escaped prisoner they took the blackbox and went back into orbit, to go through the evidence in safety. We were horrified in HQ when we saw the footage sent by them, Black Phantom talks about meeting a creature called the Lord of the Skull Spiders and how it bit him. And under the duration of a few days how his body and mind became altered. He started to look at his transformation as a blessing by the creature, pledging his servitude to the spider. His body grew spider-like legs from his back, his arm split into two, growing poison glands and the like. We never even thought a techno-organic mutation is even possible, Black Phantom has been deemed a biohazard and he must be apprehended to be quarantined and cured if possible. Due to lack of samples aside from the armor chunks he 'shed' during his metamorphosis we have nothing to use. The planet will be under surveillance from orbit we can't risk our operatives to be contaminated with this mutagen." This guy's inspiration mainly came from The Fly movie which I assume needs no introduction, though the sequel feels unnecessary, but that's my opinion. At first I wanted to revamp him in a way so that his little spider buddy would act as an armor attachment but instead I went with the spider mutation, since Lord of the Skull Spiders was just thrown away so fast in the Bionicle reboot, I wanted to give him a little something while he is "away" from the eyes of the Toa. 7. Hi, guys! Hero Factory was created in 2010, which was five years ago. It was a great replacement of Bionicle in its first years to carry out its legacy very well and kept the constraction category alive. The theme used some of Bionicle's old pieces at first, but it also introduced the CCBS, which Bionicle and many other Lego themes utilize for their future years. That's what I called the evolution of the constraction category. Hero Factory's story was simplistic. It had a TV series, which is a first time for the constraction sets and something Bionicle had never done. HF also showed online games and chapter books. Universal Studios even wanted to get the rights for a live-action movie, which was also something Bionicle never got (the movie was never made, however). Today is also the fifth anniversary of Episode 4: Von Nebula, where Furno earned Stormer's respect by helping him defeat his archenemy, Von Nebula. I liked the episode, it was great and cool. Anyway, the point is that we, those who like Hero Factory, would like to celebrate its 5th anniversary for being there for Bionicle and evolved the constraction building system. So, how can we celebrate it? Make a birthday cake with Stormer's helmet, Furno's helmet, or Von Nebula's mask on top? What's your favorite moment of Hero Factory as you can remember? For me, I loved The Enemy Within, Von Nebula episode, the Savage Planet episodes and the Breakout ones. CCBS is awesome, and so is the set designs, online games, and chapter books. I am planning to have a marathon on the TV series someday.
  8. And I mean comparably, year by year, on average. In the beginning, Hero Factory had four full TV shows. Four, that were 30 minutes apiece. Ordeal of Fire, one 30 minute segment and some funny online videos. Savage Planet, 1 hour TV special. Breakout: 1 hour TV special, a story-based game, and two secret mission books. Brain Attack: 30 minute TV special, 3 books Invasion from Below: One 24 minute TV thingy. Compared with: Bionicle 2015: about 24 minutes of real video and one book, maybe two? I mean, it beats IFB, but that's not saying much, and the book retells the animations, as opposed to HF Secret Missions which told whole new stories. Agree? Disagree? Thoughts?
  9. I was just thinking about the Hero Factory Brain Attack sets and was struck by something unusual. Obviously, from a story perspective, it's obvious that the theme for the year was a combination alien invasion/zombie apocalypse. But has anybody noticed that the sets almost had more of a historical fantasy flavor to them? Think about it — the heroes had helmets with visors that folded down over their eyes, and segmented metallic armor. Rocka, Furno, and Stormer all carried a traditional sword and shield combo, Breez carried a staff and shield, Evo carried a polearm, and Surge carried some type of lightning lance. Furno even had a cape. The villains had elemental themes and included a dragon, an ogre, a minotaur, a rock giant, a frost giant, a spider monster, and some type of sea or lake monster, and those that carried weapons also carried very traditional sorts of weapons like swords and flails. Needless to say, this "robot knights" theme was a lot different than the "robot police" theme of 2012, in which every hero carried a pair of handcuffs and some type of shooter as either a primary or secondary weapon, and the villains looked more like the sort of theme villains you'd expect to see in a superhero comic. I wonder if the sets and story for the Brain Attack arc might have been better if they didn't have to balance these medieval-inspired design sensibilities with a 50s B-movie storyline about genetically engineered mind-controlling brain creatures from SPACE! A time travel arc, with the heroes stranded in their robotic world's distant past, might have suited the designs better.
  10. Hello fellow BZP-ers! Welcome to my first topic! So, since this is my first topic, I figured that I'd do something that's fairly large and unnecessarily complicated . So, as to preface this, I should note here that, as well as Bionicle, I'm a fan of Transformers, and in the Transformers universe/franchise, they have a certain way of naming/cataloging/labelling each universe, which I'll get to later. So, after studying their system of labelling universes, I decided that their system could be applicable to Bionicle as well, since, well, 'Great Spirit Makuta Alternate Universe' is a bit of a mouthful, and could easily be replaced with something less... mouth filling(well, kind of anyways, you'll see). Before I go any further though, I feel like I should note that the way I'm labelling each universe is about 95% completely based in how they(Transfomers writers) label universes, so I feel like I should mention the original creators of this system: Jim Sorenson, Trent Troop, and Greg Sepelak. Thank you! So, now with the painfully awkward introduction( ) out of the way, let's actually learn the universes! So, the universal labeling comes in three parts: universal cluster, numerical creation date, and the class of universe. So, first of all, we start off with a universal cluster name (in other words, what continuity family it is). I've compiled a list of (mostly Latin) names below, to use for this part: Primum (Latin for first)- this is the G1 Bionicle cluster/family Deinde (Latin for next)- this is the G2 Bionicle cluster/family Tertius (Latin for third)- this is the G3 Bionicle cluster/family (one day this will become relevant!) But wait, there's more! Caminus (Latin for forge)- this is the Hero Factory cluster/family Canthus (Latin for wheel)- this is the RoboRiders cluster/family Orbis (Latin for disk)- this is the Throwbots/Slizers cluster/family Qwadwahl (made up by me )- this refers to a strange little cluster where there are these fleshly little things called humans So next, we need the numerical creation date numbers. These are taken from the real world creation date of the thing in question (I should note here that most the dates I've gotten come from the BZP main page, when BZP first covered the topic in question). So, for example, let's take when Bionicle first came to America: July, 2001. So, in terms of the cataloging, it would go 701.0 (7=7th month of the year, i.e. July. 01= what year it was, 2001. .0 refers to an unknown date of release/publication.) So now the third part: the universal class (otherwise known as, the type of media in which it was featured in) These are taken from the Greek alphabet: Alpha: Animations (T.V. Show/Movie) Beta: Online Stories/Story Serials Gamma: Comic Delta: Commercial Epsilon: Exclusives (Toys, comics, story serial, etc...) Zeta: Prose work (printed stuff that's not comics) Eta: Audio Stories Theta: Online Videos/Animations Iota: Websites/online only stuff Kappa: Games (video, board, etc...) Lambda: Still images (such as battles in the centerfold of comics) Rho: Sets Sigma: Live Action/Performance Please note that, although certain universes started in one type of media, it doesn't mean that it can include or exclude other forms of media as well. So, now that we have all three parts to the universal steam designations, lets put it all together. To help in understanding, here's an example: Primum 701.0 Gamma. Primum refers to the G1 Bionicle continuity. 701.0 refers to when it was first released (specifically in America), July 2001, with unknown/inexact date of release. Gamma means that it a comic. (If you still don't understand what I'm on about, I don't blame you. I can explain it better in the comments if you so wish it) So, now you know how the designations work out and what everything in it means, here's a list of the 'official' universes seen thus far: Caminus (Hero Factory): Caminus 413.0 Zeta (Mirror World)Caminus 910.20 Alpha (the TV Series)Canthus (RoboRiders): Canthus 100.0 Rho (an approximation of when the RoboRiders toys released)Deinde (G2 Bionicle): Deinde 1014.9 Theta (the main G2 Bionicle storyline)Oribs (Throwbots/Slizers): Orbis 199.0 A Rho (Approximation of the Throwbots storyline origin)Orbis 199.0 E Rho (Approximation of the Slizers storyline origin)Primum (G1 Bionicle): Primum 108.14 Eta (Dark Mirror)Primum 109.26 Beta (Great Spirit Makuta)Primum 508.0 Epsilon (The Kingdom)Primum 509.27 Beta (Spherus Magna Alternate Universe)Primum 701.0 Gamma (Main G1 Bioinicle story we've loved for so long) (Could be Primum 101.0 Kappa instead)Primum 807.22 Eta (the Pit's dead Tuyet's universe)Prmium 1208.12 Beta (The Melding)Qwadwahl (real world): Qwadwahl 701/1200.0 Sigma (Us! )But, it doesn't end there folks! Due to the way that this universal system is set up, we could hypothetically determine the names of universes that aren't necessarily 'official', but must exist somewhere in the multiverse. So... Caminus: Caminus 710.25 Epsilon (Hero Factory comics, Epsilon because the first comic was released at Comic Con)Caminus 810.5 Kappa (Mission: Von Nebula and its later incarnations)Deinde: Deinde 115.1 Kappa (BIONICLE: Mask of Creation mobile game)Deinde 715.0 Lambda (Ambushed In The Forge) Primum: Primum 102.0 Gamma (Bohrok Promo Comic)Primum 306.30 Kappa (Piraka Attack)Primum 310.26 Theta (BIONICLE Battle Videos)Primum 403.12 Sigma (BIONICLE Blaster Ride)Primum 906.4 Theta (Piraka Online Animations)Primum 906.20 Kappa (VNOG)Primum 1106.14 () Kappa (BIONICLE: Heroes) (Parenthesis= C-Console, M-Mobile, D-DS, G-Gameboy) Obviously, I could go on, but for some obvious and possibly not-so-obvious reasons, I'll stop here. So, that's it pretty much. Nothing particularly new or groundbreaking here, just a silly little way to categorize your universes Tell me what you think in the comments, and maybe even list a few universes yourself!
  11. What characters do you think were underused at some point in their run? I think Thunder and Jetbug had a lot of potential, but Jetbug and Nitroblast were overshadowed by Drilldozer and Thunder just kinda showed up at the end. Also, please don't say Vapor because he was just tacked on for the special set.

    HF RPG 2.0

Credit for the banner goes to Toa Onaku, who helped out overworked me. Characters: You are allowed three kinds of characters: Heroes – Heroes are the force of good in Makuhero city and across the galaxy. They have powers and weapons, and can get to any planet they wish via Hero Pod or Dropship. Hero Profile: Name: [Hero name here] Powers and Abilities: Please stick to one/two main powers and one/two minor abilities. Keep it simple. For example, your character might be able to fly and shoot fire from his hands (main powers) and was specially designed for speed and endurance (minor abilities). Weapon(s): The weapon or weapons of choice for your Hero. Please be reasonable. A bunch of small throwing knives or dual swords is good. Two machine guns or warhammers is bad – stick to one per character, please. Appearance: A MoC, picture, or a written description will do. Bio: Who is your character? What is their personal history and background? What are they like to be around? Do they have any hobbies or interests outside of crime fighting? ------------------------------------------------------ NOTE: All hero characters, unless specifically noted IC, have a feed from their optical sensors to Mission Control. This allows Zib to provide guidance and direction to Hero Characters, track their locations, and contact Zib and Mission Control for help. Characters can scramble these signals IC if they wish Mission Control not be apprised of a certain event, or if they want to go rogue or off the grid. ------------------------------------------------------------ Villains and Monsters – Wanted criminals for everything from theft to violence to just plain being a threat. Villains have powers and weapons – how mobile they are is up them and their wiles. Villain Profile: Name: [Villain name here] Powers, Abilities, & Weapons: The powers, abilities, and weapons that your villain employs. Your villain may have many weapons but no powers, or many powers but no weapons, or a mix of both. Please specify what powers your villain has and what weapons they have to start, if any. Appearance: A MoC, picture, or a written description will do. Bio: Who is your character? What is their personal history and background? What are they like to be around? Do they have any hobbies or interests outside of crime and nefarious schemes? Why does your villain dislike Hero Factory and/or he or she in the business of villainy? Location: Where is your villain when the story starts? Civilians – Civilians have no powers, but sometimes they have the best weapon of all – information. Mission control has access to Hero Factory’s extensive database, call center operators are the front lines on knowing what’s up, and the media has the power to influence thousands. But that’s not all you can be. Civilians are limited to one per player – we want to focus on the Heroes – but I’m opening it up to add interactions and flavor to the world(s). Civilian Profile: Name: [Name of Civilian here] Job/Location: Where is your civilian? What is their job? If you’re a call center operator, you live in Makuhero city, if you’re a prison guard, you may be on another asteroid. Bio: History and personality of your civilian. No GModding the information powers. You do not get to magically know everything if you are in Mission Control. A good yardstick: If it’s in one of the TV shows or the books previous to the mission, HF probably has it in the database. You are allowed to bring in characters from previous versions of this RPG if you like, but their interactions will not carry over. Alluding to them in your character bio is allowed. You may create as many hero or villain characters as you like. Please do not post like ten characters in one post when there are only like 5 characters created by everyone else in sum total. That’s just absurd. ALL CHARACTER PROFILES MUST BE APPROVED BY ME BEFORE POSTING IC. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO DO THIS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. IF YOU FEEL THAT I MIGHT HAVE MISSED ONE, PLEASE REPOST OR PM ME. Canon characters are NPCs in this game. You are allowed to play as them to support your actions. However: 1. If a canon character is an integral part of a mission (their names are in the mission briefing at the top) they are under the control of the GM for the duration of the mission. You cannot play as them in this case. 2. All players, including the GM, may play as said NPC. Their actions cannot cancel each other in an unrealistic way. In the event of a conflict, the first player’s post will stand unless I indicate otherwise. 3.All NPC interactions must be in character for that NPC. Having Stormer suddenly start break dancing is not allowed. Surge, on the other hand… 4.Be realistic in all NPC interactions. 5.You are required to have at least one original character to join this RPG. You can’t randomly walk in here and start controlling NPCs. 6.No non-canon NPCs are permitted. If you want a new character, post a new profile for them. (general guideline) GM CHARACTER KEY: Locked NPCs: These characters' headers will be posted in red. These are canon characters only I can post as for the duration of the mission - standard players cannot post as these. If you need a response from a locked NPC, please wait for the 5 minutes it takes for me to type a reply. Unlocked NPCs: These character's headers will be posted in green. These are characters that all players with active characters can post as. If you're waiting for a response from an unlocked NPC, you can just post as them to decide what they would do. Or someone else can post as them. Or whatever. Player Characters: These characters' headers will be posted in black. These are my characters, including the secret gamemaster mysterious ones. If I need to dictate another player's character's discoveries or something like that, this will also appear in black. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Handy Profile Reference Blog Entry: HF RPG Profiles (defunct ATM) APPROVED PROFILE LIST: (H = Hero, V= Villain, CV = Civillian) GM fishers64's profiles: Traferous Diafianous (V - DEAD), Fravi (V - IN JAIL), Adam West (V - DEAD), Tracia Tartonles (CV), 78 East (V - IN JAIL), Dan Barker (CV), Jarrious and Rwer (The Brain Master) (V), Graven Dfer (V) Approved Profiles: Arnold Scharzenegger - Flare (H), Rock Raider (V), Jack Plasmid(V), Samantha Electro(H) Dina Sauyama - T. All approved characters, whether Heroes, Villains, or Civilians, are allowed to own their ships to battle against the Brain Master. 2. Ships may be posted along with the characters that pilot them to battle, but they will not be approved if their drivers aren't approved. 3. Large Ships require three approved characters and two players playing them to be a thing. 4. No ship G-Modding 5. You are not required to own your own ship for this mission. You may choose to hitch a ride with another approved ship, use a standard dropship, or battle the Brain Master's forces and other villains on the ground. 6. See below. SHIP PROFILE: [Name of the Ship Here] Ship Size: You may specify Small (the size of a Hero Dropship, suitable for 1-5 passengers, small weaponry like guns and lasers), Medium (up to 10 passengers, can have a few large weapons such as a cannon or space for hauling cargo or torturing prisoners), Large (think the size of Traferous' ship). You may also specify the size of your ship in more specific detail if you want something in-between. Pilots (these are PCs onboard): Who is onboard? You may have more than one character aboard your ship. For any vehicle larger than Medium size, you must have at least three PCs on board to start controlled by no fewer than two players. This is to prevent G-Modding. (there will be no penalty if a character leaves the ship IC later) NPCs onboard (if applicable): Small vessels are not allowed to have civilian NPCs, medium vessels are allowed one or two. Large vessels can have up to 50. Please specify what they do - do they operate the weapons? the engines? Villains aligned with the Brain Master may have brains aboard ship as NPCs. IMPORTANT: Hero NPCs and Mission Control characters (Zib and Quadal) cannot be claimed for a ship here. If they join your vessel, your character will have to ask them IC, and they may turn you down. Communications Systems: Who can your vessel communicate with? Hero Factory? The Galactic Conspiracy? Traferous? The Brain Master? Nobody? Somebody else? Everybody? Navigation and Drive: For Heroes, this section may be brief. What sort of navigation information is available to the pilot? Are their 360 degree cameras? Extensive star maps? How is the ship piloted? Like a standard Hero Dropship? Multiple battle stations? Any special considerations should be listed here. Weapons Systems/Armor: What weapons does the ship have? Does it have thick armor plating, cloaking devices, or energy shields? Indestructible vessels will not be tolerated. Propulsion Systems: How fast and agile is this vessel, and how does it move? You don't need to go into oodles of detail, but please keep in mind the laws of physics - a heavily armored vessel is not going to be agile. Also, to be clear, propulsion is related to acceleration in space, not speed, considering the lack of friction in space. Land vs. Dock (Atmospheric): Can your ship land on a planet or asteroid safely? For most small and medium-size vessels, the answer will be an obvious yes. Large vessels is an open question. GM NPC PROFILE TAPE: I was asked after some confusion about NPC capabilities during the first mission to write this up. So here we go! tape Name: Mr. Makuro Job/Location: Mr. Makuro is Hero Factory's founder and main inventor of new technology. Bio: Mr. Makuro is a gentle, soft-spoken inventor with an air of charisma and dignity, especially when explaining his newest inventions to eager crowds. However, Mr. Makuro actually believes that new inventions and innovations are the answer to just about every problem and puts too much trust in them for his own safety. He also doesn't deal in politics very well, despite his charismatic polish, and frankly is more at home in his inventor's lab. * * * Name: Zib Job/Location: Zib is the overly-stressed out leader of Mission Control, responsible for keeping Heroes informed and on their way to their next battle. Bio: Zib has been in Mission Control for as long as anyone can remember - at least, from the day that Mr. Makuro decided that he wanted to focus on inventing new Heroes instead of directing missions. While Zib does have a whole group of other Mission Chiefs to assist him, for some reason he is often the one that other heroes refer to. Name: Zib Job/Location: Zib is the overly-stressed out leader of Mission Control, responsible for keeping Heroes informed and on their way to their next battle. * * * Name: Jawblade Powers, Abilities, & Weapons: Jawblade has two blasters that he can use to blast fire, and nasty jaws. He is also capable of swimming really fast and limited on land movement, using a levitation power. (That's the only way the Breakout scene where he's punching Stormer makes any sense.) Appearance: Yarr. Bio: Jawblade has been in and out of Hero Factory containment. His original crime was trying to get into the power conduit to Hero Factory underwater to disable it (see book Legion of Darkness). He also escaped in the Villain Breakout and used Oxidium against the Alpha Team member Stormer. He also enjoys swimming. Location: Hero Factory Villain Storage, maximum security. His Blade weapons have been taken from him. * * * Name: Black Phantom Powers, Abilities, & Weapons: Black Phantom is a strong and muscular robot with a very large power reserve, something he has used to his advantage. He also has a combination blade/mace weapon and his collection of Aracknix drones, which can divide and combine with each other, fire energy blasts, and create fields of energy. Appearance: Yarr. Bio: Black Phantom was once the leader of the Legion of Darkness, a villainous organization that nearly destroyed the younger Hero Factory, and orchestrated the villain breakout. He is cunning, ruthless, and sadistic. On the extremely rare occasions when he is not plotting, he has played chess against computers and violent video games. He doesn't like the company of others, and when things aren't going well he is known to simply disappear. Location: Hero Factory Villain Storage, maximum security. His drones and the maceblade have been taken from him. The drones have been released back onto the planet where they are from, making it unlikely for him to get them back. * * * Name: Corroder Powers, Abilities, & Weapons: Corroder has the ability to create, control, and absorb acid. He's also a fan of gas bombs, which give off a nasty odor and can corrode stuff. Hence the name. He also has used a pair of claws to focus his acidic powers, and a shoulder blaster. Appearance: Yarr. Bio: Corroder once attacked a prison asteroid and was imprisoned along with Von Nebula. He escaped in the Breakout and was recaptured. Corroder has a reputation for acting arrogant and dim-witted, which is plenty dangerous given his power set. Location: Hero Factory Villain Storage, maximum security. His claws have been taken from him, and his cell is made of reinforced concrete in addition to laser bars all around him. * * * Name: Merrick Fortis Powers and Abilities: Merrick Fortis has powers similar to the Kanohi Volitak and strength capable of throwing Bulk across the room. He has telescoping, x-ray, and infrared vision. Weapon(s): Merrick carries a single grappling hook weapon. Appearance: So sloppy. Bio: Fortis is the leader of the Hero Recon team. He paid a visit to Quatros to spy on Witch Doctor and appointed Rocka to watch Villain Storage during the Breakout. He's also kept track of Vex's and Striker's recent adventures on Tranquis and Streptos, but left the actions to Zib. He also knows all of Hero Factory's systems better than even Zib, and installed a few of his own. (One of which flips the Hero Testing Area upside down.) * * * Name: Queen Beast Powers, Abilities, & Weapons: Queen Beast has the ability to create, control, and absorb acid. She also makes coccoons capable of imprisoning a Hero, Civilian, or even a villain in a state of stasis, unable to wake up until someone opens or destroys the coccoon. She wields a sharp-bladed staff, and has enough strength to knock over a Hero with one swipe. Appearance: Queen Beast is blue and orange in color, and has six limbs - four legs and two arms. Bio: Queen Beast is normally a benevolent and caring creature, living peacefully under Antopolis and caring for the evolution of new beast-like creatures. The evil brain controlling her, however, is filling her head with the idea that the inhabitants above at threats to be destroyed. She is resisting with a fair degree of success, but the other beasts aren't so lucky. Location: Below Antropolis. * * * Name: Julius Nex Powers and Abilities: Julius Nex is the poster boy for Hero relations, spending time on social media with the civilian population regularly. He carries a triage kit capable of healing, reviving, or modifying any hero in the field. Weapon(s): Plasma blaster, laser cutter, and Breakout-style Hero Cuffs. Appearance: This set looks ugly. Bio: As part of his programming for Hero relations, Nex is witty, charming, and a shameless flirt. He's been on a whole bunch of missions by now, revealing that he also is ambitious and goal oriented. When he's not checking Herofeed or Herobook, he can be found enjoying a game of roboball with Furno. ------------------------------------------------------ Mechna Mechna is particularly famous for three things: factory tours, mechanized theme park rides of various kinds, and manufacturing of various kinds of technology. Huge disparities exist from rich villain apartments filled with slaves to slum districts where low-level villains scrape by on petty crime to hotels to factories. The one thing that it all has in common is the slick metal plating, the robotic arms, and the incredible amount of other industrial equipment. 1. The Grunge District - Most classy villains would stay out of here. Everyone on the street will rob you blind or kill you to rob you blind. The area is famous for the excess of shady bars and female pleasurebots like what Fravi once was. This place is in terrible repair - the oldest section on Mechna, this place is filled with broken down technology that no longer works. Many bots scrape by repairing or disassembling these machines and selling them in the other districts or even off planet - for the highest price they can get the suckers to pay. 2. The Middle District - Many villains live on the lap of luxury here. Although this area actually isn't preferred by most rich - they usually prefer lush and green planets to the dingy smog of Mechna, the constant thrum of machine noise, and the threat of theft. Instead, this area is composed of apartments that middle-class villains live in with their modest slave holdings, and some that are rented to high-class villains in timeshares for when they have to be on the planet to conduct business. These two districts abutt and blend together and aren't distinguished by those names IC; the OOC distinction is just to show the difference. The Middle District is North of the Grunge district. 3. The Government Hall - This old yellow building - it used to be white - houses the council that runs Mechna's government. Rumors have been circulating that the Galactic Conspiracy has significant inroads here. 4. The Slave Market - These are underground in the Grunge District and the Middle District. Many villains in the Middle district will venture into the Grunge District for lower prices on slaves. 5. Factory Area/Slave Living Quarters - On the opposite side of the planet from the Tourist District, the Factory Area abutts the Middle/Grunge area. Conditions in this area make the Grunge district look like a nonstop party. Slaves are kept in cells with barred windows and are rarely allowed to venture out. Slaves are run on murderous four-hour rotations and punished mercilessly for any mistakes. Many dream of being a house slave in the Middle District as a better destiny. 6. Tourist District - On the opposite side of the Government hall from Middle/Grunge and the Factories is the Tourist district, filled with theme park rides like rollercoasters and ferris wheels. There are also five "clean factories" that the government uses for tours - ticket prices are the only thing making these operations profitable. GALACTIC MAP (WIP): Rules: 1. RPG Staff/Gamemaster: fishers64 Missions: Periodically, I will be bringing you, the players, assignments from Mission Control. If you are a Hero, you may choose to join the Mission, and if you complete the mission you will receive a reward. If you are a villain, you may feel free to oppose the mission in any way that you see fit, and if you successfully oppose the mission you will receive a reward. Unlike in the typical Hero Factory storyline, villains do have a chance of achieving your objectives. Play your cards well, and you may be the future crime master of the galaxy. You are not required to join or oppose a mission – you may choose to do your own thing. You may also allow your own thing to intersect with the mission at hand if the story allows. Current Missions: Mission #4: In the Mirror Canon NPCs involved: Mr. Makuro, Black Phantom, Von Nebula, XT4 The Valos system is a tortured place to be. Unlike the Streptos system, the Tranquis system, or the Makuro Belt, the star of the system is surrounded by an oddly crackling force ring, which seems to be responsible for the nasty changes that the inhabitants have to endure. Legend has it that several planets have passed through the star itself, only to reappear later - which would explain the planet that just appeared two years before. It is in this system that the planet Mechna can be found, home to robotic slavery, trafficking of said slaves, and sweatshop factories that make Makuhero City's factory district look like paradise. Crime runs rampant among the city streets - but the truth is, no civilianslive on Mechna. Everyone on the street is a villain - just some more nefarious than others. And all of the villains keep their slaves - civilian or not - locked up. Except for the public government of Mechna, who sweeps all of that under the rug and presents the gleaming metal hallways and robotic arms as a tourist attraction. None of the government sponsored tours reveal what that planet is really all about - selling goods for the highest profit imaginable. The latest sponsored tour, however, has included something that no other tour has dared to include - a sweet portal into the unknown. Except that no one has come back from the portal yet, and...it has grown so big that another planet nearby has called in to say that Hero Factory might be interested in investigating before the entire planet of Mechna...and maybe the entire Valos system...is sucked in. Hmm. Seems like a villainous plot if there ever was one. Or like...5? Hero Objectives: 1. Investigate the person who called in about the portal. 2. Go to Mechna and investigate the portal itself. 3. Investigate the planet of Mechna itself. 4. SECRET OBJECTIVE (this has to do with the portal) 5. SECRET OBJECTIVE (this has to do with Mechna, and some old friends) Villain Objectives: 1. If possible, destroy the Astral. 2. Conceal the true nature of Mechna, and the portal. 3. SECRET OBJECTIVE (again, having to do with the portal) 4. SECRET OBJECTIVE (this one is for the old friends) 5. Help Traferous fix his ship and get out of Makuhero City (this is more local). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CHARACTER PROFILE POSTING NOW OPEN! I will make every effort to approve or return profiles as quickly as possible. Character profiles must be posted IN THIS TOPIC. PLEASE SPECIFY WHETHER THE PROFILE IS FOR A HERO, VILLAIN, OR CIVILLIAN IN THE PROFILE UPFRONT. MAKES MY LIFE EASIER. THANKS.
  13. While Hero Factory was short lived and didn't always have the most... infallible design standards, there were quite a few sets that stood out in the roster as being exceptionally appealing. Sets like Witch Doctor and Evo XL receive universal praise, but there are other sets which still look the business. So, to you, which set/s is/are underrated, and deserve/s more love? EDIT: Never thought that word would be censored. Huh.
  14. Hey everyone, it's me again with another custom thing. This time it's a Gen2 adapted Mata torso, go check it out here: http://shpws.me/JywU On a side note, I don't suppose anyone here knows what's causing the error with the Shapeways render where it fills up the pin holes? EDIT: The pin hole error has been fixed, the print should be error-free now.
  15. A once infamous and much feared space pirate from hundreds of years ago, Captain Jovius Flint has long since faded into obscurity among much of the known universe. A very primitive model of robot meant to crew exploration ships, Flint at some point led a mutiny against the captain and claimed the ship as his own. The Red Giant, as it was known, soon became a sight that terrified trade fleets everywhere. With huge, billowing solar sails and lightning crackling from the electrified rigging, it swept into battle and left few ships operational after battle. Flint's model was made obsolete and discontinued after his turn to piracy, and he was perhaps the only surviving example left a century into his career. As such, similarly outmoded robots comprised the majority of his crew. In fact, many of their targets were ships bearing materials from industrial planets--materials meant to be used in the construction of newer, better types of robots. With these they patched up their failing bodies and extended their warranties. Flint himself eventually had to replace an arm and a leg. Close Up Profile Back Flint was around at the founding of Makuhero city, and existed still when Hero Factory produced its first line of heroes. They proved to be a tougher foe than the police drones he was accustomed to. Hero Factory itself became a personal target of his bitterness as it continuously churned out better heroes and newer technology. It came to pass that some four hundred years ago a Hero Factory Recon Team had The Red Giant cornered against an asteroid field. Like Flint and its crew it was long past its prime. The rust-eaten hull was patched with scraps from its prey, and the sails no longer shone the same blazing red as they once had. Faced with the threat of imprisonment, the pirates took their chances in the asteroid field. The Recon Team was unable to give chase for fear of being crushed by the tumultuous rocks. It was presumed that Flint met his doom that day as his attacks on trade fleets stopped. Recently there's been rumors of a 'ghost ship' lurking around the long-abandoned mining planet of Kornis. Details are sparse as of yet, but it's largely believed that this ship resembles the solar-sail driven hulk used by Flint. Many attest that it is Flint's ship, as improbable as it is. For The Red Giant to have survived that long in hiding would be a miracle in itself. Even more amazing would be its brash and bitter captain to have kept quiet for so long. Only time will tell if Captain Jovius Flint is truly gone from this Galaxy, or still haunts its outer reaches...

  18. Yes, this is probably an invalid comparison on some level. I'm doing it anyway. Right now this an oddball idea - but not six months ago, much rejoicing seemed to be had among all that Hero Factory was gone and that Bionicle had made its glorious triumphant return. Anything that promised relief from ugly sets and tales of genocide () was welcomed by the Bionicle-starved citizens of this place. Now that Bionicle has returned, that perspective has been lost in the rush to compare Bionicle G1 and G2. But comparing G2 with Hero Factory is perhaps a more valid comparison. After all, they both use the same building system, and are slated to run a similar length of time, and they seem to have a similar amount of story material. I'm putting this here because it compares the two themes. If it needs to go somewhere else, move away. And vooooooooooooooooooooote!
  19. When I was surfing the web, I found this. This is a very odd find. It's a Rocka Set that LEGO hasn't made. It's called Rocka Freeze Machine. I've never heard of a machine named "Freeze Machine" before. And the theme is called "Hero 6". Very Creative. It's not too interesting, but there is a Cockpit Recolor. What do you guys think about this? I would like to hear from you guys. Thanks for reading! Update: FOUND ANOTHER PHOTO These are very odd, and these could of been made last year, or this year.
  20. Hello, this is my first MOC. I mixed some Bionicle (generation 2) pieces and some HF pieces. Hope you like it. Please give me some tips as well about future MOCs. 21. Hi, guys! I know that Hero Factory has ended, but I would like to talk about what reminds you of Hero Factory of any way, so you could possibly feel nostalgic or not forget about it when you liked it. We know that other Lego themes (DC Super Heroes, Marvel Super Heroes, Legends of Chima, and Bionicle) have CCBS, like Hero Factory as it inspired them, but I would like to talk about rarer things (the CCBS is a common trait nowadays). For me, the things that remind me of Hero Factory are: 1. Bionicle 2015's upcoming Skull Scorpio kind of reminds me of Scorpio from Hero Factory's Savage Planet (because of the name). 2. Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie reminds me of Voltix because he had a similar tone in his voice at one scene as I can remember and targets on a power plant like Voltix did in the Breakout episodes. When Electro breathes electricity at another scene, that reminds me of Dragon Bolt, too. 3. Bane from The Dark Knight Rises movie reminds me of Core Hunter because his mask is similar, but without CH's telescopic eye pieces. 4. In The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, how the company attempted to defeat Smaug the dragon reminds me of how you could defeat Dragon Bolt in the Brain Attack game, where you could use certain things around your area to beat the powerful dragon easier. 5. The Rhino from TASM movie kind of reminds me of the giant Invasion From Below monsters and the Heroes' mechs because Rhino in like a combination of one of the monsters and one of the mechs by piloting a giant mech with a rhino-shaped head that also kind of looks like the IFB monster. 6. In Transformers: Age of Extinction movie, how Lockdown killed Ratchet reminds me of Core Hunter's ability to take Heroes' Cores out. Core Hunter was never showed taking out a hero's core in any episode, but Lockdown kind of does give the description of how this could happen (well, in a dark way). So, there. You see what I'm saying? What do you guys think?

  23. Hi, guys. I know that Hero Factory has ended, but I would like to talk about its best and worst moments, so what do you think they are. For me, it goes like this: Best: 1. Hero Factory being introduced - I was looking forward to experience it in 2010 after Bionicle was cancelled 2. TV episodes - Tinseltown Toons animation and voice actors up to 2014 (well, the Ghost/Advance animation looks very great) 3. Some characters are great and have good character development up to 2014 4. Healing our broken hearts from Bionicle's cancellation in 2010. - having the same building system nostalgically up to 2011 5. The CCBS system 6. All nine heroes meeting up in 2012. 7. Having HS01 8. Secret Mission Books - by Greg Farshtey 9. Furno fighting mind-controlled Stormer in The Enemy Within 10. Furno earned Stormer's respect and made team leader by him in Von Nebula 11. Surge being a funny character 12. Savage Planet and Breakout episodes being my favorite episodes 13. Stormer, Furno, Rocka, and Bulk being cool heroes 14. Heroes' cool visors in Brain Attack 15. Mechs in Invasion From Below 16. Lot of very cool pieces - including armor and colors 17. The Breakout song by Cryoshell in 2012 18. The online games (Breakout, Brain Attack, and IFB are the best) 19. News about a live action movie. 20. Good story up to IFB. Worst: 1. Number of episodes decreasing year by year 2. Villains are just thugs, rather than something more, not having much character development 3. A lot of unresolved and unexplained things - famously including cliffhangers from the Breakout, Brain Attack, and Invasion From Below episodes 4. 2014 was the most poor year - poor character development and switched famous voice actors in 2010-2013 to new ones that we don't know 5. Lack of Stringer (main Brain Attack things) and Nex (Breakout episodes to IFB) 6. Not all the villains appeared in the episodes 7. Story came and went too early once its certain year began, leaving some things unresolved and unexplained 8. Never got another word about the live action movie since 2012 (only one news report so far) 9. Episodes 8-11 never appeared on DVD, neither did the IFB episode appeared on television 10. Not all villains appeared in the online games - I was looking forward to fight them, like XT4 in the Breakout game 11. Heroes causing a genocide of the IFB monsters in the IFB episode 12. HS01 being deactivated - I loved that thing. It's very accurate. 13. The Hero Factory theme and franchise, along with the TV show, books, and toy line, is ended or cancelled improperly (unannouncedly). - I wish it needs more time to finish the story before it can end, like having the Heroes fight a Villain Factory run by Von Nebula, who could have been the mysterious villain in the Breakout and Brain Attack episodes. So, there. What do you guys think?
  24. Hi, guys! I know that Hero Factory is over, but I would like to talk about what Hero Factory online game would you like as an app for your device, smartphone, or tablet, besides Brain Attack and Invasion From Below. For me, I would want Mission: Von Nebula, Mission: Ordeal of Fire, Mission: Savage Planet, Creep Crushers, Jungle Crushers, and the extended Breakout online game. I know it's a lot, but I enjoyed most of these games because I like fighting enemies, before the games are no longer available in the Hero Factory page in the Lego website. It would be very cool if these would be released in apps, so I can play and enjoy them again. So, as I said, what games would you like to be an app.
