IC: Krayn

"It's good not to be alone. People need someone to talk to." Krayn said quietly, leaving out the rest of the line of thought. Because people were alone, and all too often. The bitter thought leapt unbidden to the forefront of his mind, before receding again to the background.

He glanced at Naona. Now their relationship made more sense.

Hari placed a kiss on Krayn's cheek and held him close as she could. They would get through this, all of them would, together. Hari's entire world hinged on this and the thought that Krayn was alone for so long, even among his own friends, that his emotions were so often held at bay, it wasn't right, it wasn't healthy for him. In a way this, this was good. He wasn't holding this emotions back, he was letting them out. "I'll always be here Krayn." She gave him a gentle smile.

IC: Krayn

"Are you alright, Hari?"

The De-Toa held her just as close as she was holding him, hugging her gently. When he spoke, concern had mostly eclipsed the grief in his voice. He wasn't the only one who was suffering, and it was selfish to spend so much time worrying about how he was feeling when so many others had it just as bad.

"I'm just going to mention that I'm the Le-Koronian firefighter and I know how to find my way around Le-Wahi blindfolded, let alone in the dark. I'll lead you back to Le-Koro to suit your temporary needs, if you wish, but I also do hope to have your escort as we travel to Ta-Koro as soon as possible."

"Nah Krayn, I'm fine." She smiled. Krayn, Naona they all needed help, they needed their friends. Hari she never quite understood the concern beyond that it was Krayn's relationship with her. She just watched how hurt everyone else was, she had seen this when she was a little girl. She saw how pained Naona was by Darylhii, How Krayn had been holding back his emotions, how fragile Rynekk had seemed in Po-Wahi. She came second...to everyone else. She couldn't think about doubt, couldn't let it invade her as it had the others. She needed to be like this, for them. Who was she to complain anyways? She had lost Mom and Dad years ago, the rest of them had lost more than her. However it was never out of pity, it was that she was idealistic and she needed to be, because otherwise the reality she was holding back, she was ignoring, it would crush her, break and what would be left wouldn't be Hari anymore. "Unless you want to lay here for a bit, we can get up and get moving. Still gotta catch the bad guys..." She smiled gently, her torquoise eyes with a hopeful light in them.

"You're lying, Hari." Krayn admonished gently, his head turning to look her in the eye. "You were crying earlier. And I doubt that you are doing anything but hiding it."

"A person far wiser than I once said that you can't bear the whole world on your shoulders." He squeezed her gently. "You don't have to talk here, if you don't want to. We could go to one of the cabins."

"I'm just sad is all. We've lost so many and it hurts so much to think of it." She sighed, it was partly true. It was just more than that she could see her whole world falling apart at the seams and she was ignoring it. Closing her eyes like a child, cause in a way Hari never really grew up. She just kept running from the grief, she took solace in making others happy and she believed in all those fairytale endings because no one else seemed to. She didn't want to believe it, so she ignored it. "Krayn, I wouldn't lie to you." Inwardly Hari grimaced, because she was. A lie to truly be effective needed to be carefully constructed. You could write history with a lie, you could change somebody's mind with lie, you could create a whole world around a lie. She didn't really deserve concern although she appreciated it. At least she thought that, she had been lying to herself about how bad things truly were but the lies, they helped. Did she still believe in good? Yes. It was just she knew she was ignoring how horrible things actually were.

"No, you wouldn't. Not outright. But you might unknowingly distort the truth." Krayn sighed slightly, and hugged her a bit tighter. "Come on. Tell you what. If you try to let me help, I'll try to open up again."

IC: (Hari)

Hari sighed and got up from ship's deck, pulling Krayn up and moving into one of the cabins.

"That's a lot better, we barely get any privacy now that we're on duty." Hari sighed. "Krayn the truth is, I'm scared, maybe we're not alone like I've said and so many before us. The thing is I'm worried, every day seems darker than the last and no matter how hard we try, it never seems like enough. I'm sorry Krayn I don't even know why I'm saying this, you and the others would be a lot better off without me saying this. I feel so selfish whenever I tell you these things, like I'm weighing down on you and you don't deserve that no one does. I'm not as useful as Naona, or Dekhaz, or Kale, I'm just some girl stumbling through all of this, weighing the rest of you down."

IC: Krayn

Krayn sat perched upon the edge of the bunk, watching Hari carefully. The room was fairly small, and contained only two bunks and a few drawers. It was clearly not built for comfort.

Gently, he pulled her into a hug, holding her comfortingly. "Hari, you're far from a burden. Maybe you aren't as capable a fighter. I think you underestimate yourself there, but maybe it's true. But you perform a far greater task.""You're the one that keeps us all on track. Most of us, we'd be paralyzed with grief and sadness right now, if you weren't here. You keep us from getting bogged down, and remind us why we're fighting in the first place."

"You're not a burden. And you've got as much right to express your emotions as the rest of us."

"I guess, it just doesn't feel like that's good enough. Like I'm not doing enough. I don't want to see you hurt, I just want to make things right." Hari sighed leaning into Krayn's chest. Hari started crying again, but it was a silent. Silent as she listened to Krayn further. She looked up to him, wiping away her tears as best she could.

"Really? Sometimes I just felt like I was this big joke, or just some tagalong. I mean I know the would make fun of me in the Guard, kind of a klutz." As if to prove her point Hari seemed to lose her balance and fall back with Krayn onto the bunk, the two Toa pressed close together. "See? Though I guess it's a little funny, I mean as long as it doesn't involve Naona doing painful things to you."

"Oh right...that...hheehee..." Hari laughed it off, clearly embarrassed. It was good to get their minds off all the sad things, so maybe joking about the absurd things could help them. "You know I'm worried that Naona somehow sensed that happening. She has powers you know, mystical powers that allow her to sense these things, only for me it seems though." She chuckled. "Also please don't tempt fate, there was this one time and....let's just say I don't want to talk about it." Krayn didn't know how crazy the world seemed to be, especially around her.

"I'm still alive and intact, so either she doesn't know, or has decided to ignore it." Krayn replied, smiling again. "I wouldn't worry too much about being clumsy. There are a lot worse flaws out there."

IC: Alfon (The Fowadi) "Xa-Koro's gone and people want the Great Spirit dead, or so you say." I continued, adding to the list. "And that's not all of it. Seems like the world's way of playing a really bad joke." Since we were still waiting, I climbed up a nearby tree as easily as a Brakas monkey would with the task and sat on a branch, leaning my back against its thick trunk. If Kethrye insisted on sticking around for a while longer, it wouldn't hurt to get comfortable. "Call me corny but it feels like the dawn of a new era. A very bloody one at that."

IC: Kethrye (The Fowadi)~

"Yeah," Kethrye muttered. An era of blood, and fire.

IC:Cy shot into the air, as he activated his Kadin. However, his actions held none of their usual jubilance. The death of Matau was clearly still affecting him. Cy was not rejoicing in his flight-he was carrying out his Duty.

Vorok pointed out,"If the ships came from Xa-Koro, then sending them towards the Ga-Wahi coast is not a logical choice-you could lose them the Navy. So it makes more sense to send them towards Ko-Wahi. We can check there first, and hunt the Le-Wahi coast in route. If they're hiding out to Sea, they will be harder to find."

Cy just nodded.

IC: Plagia Simul - Outside the Fowadi

Oh, excellent, someone who actually knows how to navigate the jungle. Ma'am, whoever you are (Nixie, wasn't it?), you are officially my new best friend.

"Well then, thank you, er, Nixie, I believe?" I said, holding my hand in greeting.

IC: Rynekk Simul - Fowadi

I hate being alone. But, it's sort of necessary for me at this point, so I live with it. Karz, I've got the rain, at the very least, so that's something. Guess the Great Spirit didn't get the memo about the reformed narcissist thing, or He'd realize that I really shouldn't be having people around me.

Okay, now I'm being narcissistic about ending my narcissism. My mind's really messed up. I guess mental connections to Makuta do that to you.

I found myself lying face-up on the deck of the Fowadi, eyes closed, listening to the pattering of raindrops on the wooden floor. My mouth was half-open, allowing the occasional unlucky droplet to tumble into my digestive tract, about to assimilated into my stomach acid.

And with that lovely image, my eyes snap open, and I'm left staring at the bleak skies, heavy with black storm clouds as if the heavens are trying to burst through the sky and descend to the earth itself. A futile struggle, but every now again, the clouds get close. Close enough to taste the dirt and grit, close enough to hope that this will be the day they get through. And close enough to spit on us, those lucky few who get to enjoy the hard ground beneath our feet.

Are the clouds narcissists?

IC: Peho Eniblad - Jungle

"Er, what's 'mosey'?" Eniblad asked quickly, now fully recovered from introduction with the earth.

[iC] Petorgas had finished his work. He held the lance in his hands, proud of this accomplishment. He found Slate in a matter of minutes and conked him on the head with the butt of the lance. That got his attention.

[OOC] WOW, I have missed a lot. Sorry guys.

Though not quite certain what 'ditch' meant in this regard, if Ril wanted to get to his friends before it happened, it couldn't be good. So, Eniblad decided not to ask him what it meant, and to just follow him wherever the others might be. On land this time, thought. The Toa had had quite enough flying for one day.

"How long will you be staying in Le-Koro before you head to Ta-Koro?" she asked.

OOC: Yep. I'm totally writing short posts, because there's really not much to write about at this point other than brief lines of dialogue. No point in throwing in long paragraphs whose existence is contrived and forced.

IC: Slate

Swift. That was how Slate was. The moment his weapon had come in contact with his head, Slate had reacted to the strike, and grabbed the lance's shaft. Using a combination of body strength and gravity, he twisted, threatening to break Petorgas' arm if he didn't let go.

:kaukau: OOC: I believe Kethrye has already left and is on his way to Ko-Koro.

IC: (Nixie, from outside the Fowadi to the jungle)

She led them through the forest. "We should just as well find the path, then. It's the simplest way of finding your way around. Unless you me, in which case you hop through the trees, but there is always the danger of Makuta's Rahi in the untamed paths. Best stick to the main roads and you're relatively safe in the daytime."

She climbed up on one of the trees and began hopping from branch to branch, traveling Le-Matoran style while the Toa followed her from below.

OOC: Actually, no, Keth is still around.

IC: Kethrye (Near the Fowadi)~

"Great, you're finally back." Kethrye greeted Ril as he approached. He stepped over to the Toa of Fire, face as grim as ever. "The Turaga are dead, but presumable You're heading to Po and Onu, asap. Check with whoever's in charge now, get a look at the crime scene and then rendezvous back with us in Ga-Koro, got it? Sorry, but we need to do this now, no time for questions."

The ILF Commander's gaze drifted to his friends two companions, his words quickening. "Hey, new recruits? Guess they'll heading with me and Alfon to Ko, assuming they are. I'm Kethrye, and we can get the whole introduction thing done as we walk."

IC: Naru

The Toa of Plasma started walking with the rest, glancing up at the Matoran as she started to hop through the tree branches. Being small had its advantages, it seemed. Naru was just glad to get moving, as it meant less time spent in the jungle. Ta-Wahi would definitely be preferable to this place. Yes, she could probably top off her elemental energy too. Now it was a matter of just finding a path, something that would probably be a lot easier given their Le-Matoran guide.

"And I'm Kal, the oft unnoticed member of the ILF," the Toa of Stone standing near Kethrye said, and nobody was quite sure if he had been there the whole time or not-though judging by his Huna, it was possible.

"Also known as 'That guy who has no standing in the group but still talks like he's in charge of something.'"

:kaukau: IC: (Nixie, from the jungle to Le-Koro)

She continued to hop her way through the branches and use the vines as swings until Le-Koro was reached. Le-Koro, the town that she has sworn to protect, and normally such a happy place. But in her vision, she knew in her heart that only sadness would be waiting her their, and that a memorial service had just been completed. He felt a little hollow that she had missed out on it. Emptier still was the knowledge that she would not see Vakama's resting body carried away. She would mourn their deaths in other ways, ways that were far more silent and subtle, when all the emotions of the moment had died down.

"Here we are," she said. "Le-Koro. From here, we go to Ta-Koro and investigate Vakama's death, and I will say some things that always needed to be said."

[OOC] Whoa...

[iC] "Excite yourself down a bit there! I'm just returning your spear!" Petorgas shouted. He couldn't exactly hear what slate was saying because he had been deafened by his shouting, but he managed to make this out: "Let...... Spear!.....I said.......go! I WILL.... arm if..... -on't!" Well, THAT was unexpected. Petorgas thought. His grip loosened, then evaporated altogether. Petorgas fell face-first into the ground. "I would like that back, please." Petorgas said, pointing towards his equipment satchel, which had fallen off of him and was now hanging from the tip of Slate's new spear.

Morally unambiguous.
