Day 3: Things Not Looking Up

 

And once more, another night passed, with yet another death by the hands of the Sniper. The Medic had not been out at all the past few nights, appearing to be cowering in his house. Villagers of all kind were frustrated, yet they could only give him the benefit of doubt that he had simply been unsuccessful in saving anyone.... But that was of no matter as the village voted once more. Kaiser Manducus was brought up to the gallows to be executed, with the village and JiMing waiting for him. "So then, how do you feel about dying today?"

 

Kaiser looked down, refusing to make eye contact with any of the villagers. "You have made a grave mistake." he warned. "If you consider me to be guilty, then you are sorely mistaken. I implore you to reconsider." he said, with a low growl.

 

"Yeah, thing is, once you've been selected, you're dying for sure." JiMing said. "I'm sorry, but you know, you're not exactly innocent yourself..... So killing you is perfectly acceptable!" JiMing pointed out, with the village perking up. Two Matoran rushed up to grab Kaiser and tied the noose around his neck. The entire crowd looked on hopefully, wondering if their suffering was about to come to an end. Kaiser finally glanced up hatefully towards the villagers. "This will have been all in vain, I promise you. Now is your last chance to reconsider your folly." The village shouted hatefully at Kaiser in response, as the floor pulled from underneath him.

 

Kaiser Manducus, Matoran Lynched.

 

"Well, I didn't mention that he wasn't guilty this night." JiMing said with a grin. "If you had lynched him first night, then you really would've killed the Sniper. But right now.... He was just another Matoran. Tough luck."

Night Four: When the Medic actually tries

 

As the Sniper took possession of another Matoran, he could not help but laugh. Those brainless fools! They lynch the Matoran I possessed first the night I wasn't taking control of his body anymore! Now I have no doubts that they will fall before me.... Grabbing his gun once more, the Sniper looked out. A great deal of the houses were already empty, so his choices were getting narrower. Hm... How they recovered from the previous game I am not sure. But in any case, that will not be happening now.... The Sniper finally decided on a house to fire into. He took aim and.....

 

The Medic continued rocking back and forth in the corner of his house, awaiting another needle of the mysterious miracle medicine. Finally, it popped into existence, with another note. Okay, this is ridiculous. it read. You are a MEDIC. You are supposed to heal others, not yourself. Isn't that the first thing you learn in medical school? Anyways, my point is that you cannot use these things on yourself anymore. So get out there and DO YOUR FREAKING JOB. If not, you will learn there do exist fates worse than death.....

 

Dropping the note, the Medic proceeded to hyperventilate. Oh no oh no oh no oh no no no no no no no no..... he thought. Now he was guaranteed to die. Looking at the needle, the Medic longed to use it on himself like so many times before. But he had just been threatened with 'a fate worse than death'. Could such a thing really exist? Sighing, the Medic grudgingly snuck outside the back of his home, scanning the area. Then he saw an outline of a Matoran with a gun, taking aim into another house. Once more, a gunshot rang out, and the figure retreated. Where did that bullet go? the Medic cursed, as he randomly opened the door to a house the figure seemed to be facing. He saw Taka Nuvia lying on the ground with a bullet in her head, barely alive. Karz, freaking karz.... the Medic thought, injecting her with the fluid, which seemed to heal her significantly. Taking out his surgical tools, the Medic successfully removed the bullet from Taka's head, and quickly ran home. I just.... Healed someone. The Medic thought. It... Feels nice actually.
