  2. So my 12-year-old recently read through all the comics I made on here back when I was ... what, 16? My main reason for being on BZPower for quite a while. It was a surreal moment, and sort of embarrassing... 😅 but hey, the half-or-so of them that he understood, he thought was funny - so I guess the comedy works for that age. Here's to feeling old and decrepit, but also sort of cool.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Awww RIP to this being an ✨event✨ in the life of resident site hermit because I was too senile to remember what day yesterday was! 🙈Sorry world.
  5. We are Primus. We are Prima. We are Prime Nova. We are Sentinel Prime. We are Optimus Prime.

  6. Three more levels fully completed, along with one of the bonus levels. Sorry I wasn't able to log in sooner to inform you of that audio issue (as I've said before, 7:00pm is pretty much the absolute earliest I can be able to join the chat). Looks like next time will be enough to at least fully complete the last two levels as well as play the Young Indy bonus level (as I said in the chat, that one should be unlocked because you needed all minikits from just any three levels, regardless of which movie they're from). I think the last bonus level requires collecting all of the minikits from all of the levels, including that one from Raiders of the Lost Ark that you've struggled to obtain. As for the achievements, I'll leave that entirely up to you. As I've said before, I have no experience with such achievements, since Steam does not provide them for the older Lego games. Seeing what some of those achievements are, I could see myself doing everything I could to unlock them, even if it took me several hours to accomplish because I'm OCD enough to seek absolute perfection (which I somehow doubt you would be quite that obsessed with). Anyway, looking forward to the next stream.

  8. It is the Biological Chronicle after all It's name literally states that it's a story told about living things/characters. So I'd 100% agree with Bambi on this.
  9. Greg has confirmed that the beings in the pocket dimension are the same as in the red star, namely Kestora. He also hinted that while they're the same species, they were created at different times under different circumstances, which is why the City of SIlver Kestora are more warriorlike rather than repair workers. All these are stated in the Greg quotes linked to biosector01.
  10. IC: Mard & Ahmoa - Training Ground, outskirts of Atero Mard suppressed a shudder; just when he thought they were out of the woods. He became acutely aware of their abandoned guardsman spears, leaning a short distance away against the ring fence. He sorely missed the collection of javelins he'd just stashed away. He glanced at his partner, happy to let him take the lead. Ahmoa returned only his warm smile, the focal point of his entire world the blunt training axe under his hands. He hefted it up onto his shoulder, casual-like. In his hands, it could do little more than bruise shins. In full focus again, both Agori experienced the crescendo of their creeping realisation; something looming, much bigger than the guardsmen, the Glatorian, Atero and the Grand Tournament. The mystery of Ferrum. The mystery of— "Del." Ahmoa stated curtly, offering nothing more than what the cyborg had asked. He would not lie, but obfuscation was certainly in his arsenal. "That was the name they gave us." If Lorqua was to be believed, then Lutenus seemed to make a habit of casual manipulation. Mard took another angle; deflection, trying to draw at least Lorqua away from the line of inquiry. "Uhhh, what is your scene then? You've got some fighting talent, you a guard like us maybe?" A pitiable attempt at rapport-building. OOC: @Toru Nui @oncertainty
  11. When, someone in BS01 had edited the thing, so that’s why I asked. It’s weird for how the BS01 page had worded it. When I am thinking about it, the Kestora were never named in Journey of Takanuva, so there is a possibility that these people in the Journey of Takanuva book in 2008 are not exactly Kestora, but a species that conincidentally looks very much like them, but sort of doesn’t behave like them. Not only that, but the pocket dimension has a city-building creature that looks like an Archives Mole and an entity that looks like a Kanohi mask. I get that they are reused models in the book, but yes. It’s basically how the nature of the pocket dimension does.
  12. By its very nature, Bionicle is a difficult thing to define. Year by year, it changed and evolved, focusing on different characters, different time periods, different collectibles, different locations, different tones, etc. But for me, what defines Bionicle is how unique and different it is to everything Lego has ever attempted, before or since. Not only did the sets have a unique visual style and parts library that made them stand apart from the rest of Lego, but the story itself was more dense and dark, mysterious and mature than Lego's usual fare. It wasn't afraid to switch focus to new heroes every few years, and actually kill characters off in impactful, meaningful ways. By contrast, Lego's next big long-running theme, Ninjago, has clung to the same core cast of characters since it started, and the deaths and sacrifices that have occurred have usually been reversed in the next wave to preserve the status quo. Similarly, Bionicle successor Hero Factory mixed up its roster every year, but still carried over at least a few familiar characters each wave. And neither theme has hit the same heights of darkness and maturity that Bionicle did.
  13. I'm getting the strangest sense of deja vu from reading this... The solution seems fairly straightforward, though. Takanuva ended up in the City Of Silver when he was sent through a portal created by a damaged Kanohi Olmak. The Red Star also happens to have a powerful intradimensional teleporter that we know malfunctioned in some way. Two failed teleports. Two groups of characters ending up in the same wacky pocket dimension.
  14. I totally agree, I just wanted to see, if there are other opinions on this topic. But this is also very helpful, thanks!
  15. While all those things you mentioned are definitely a big part of Bionicle, I'd have to say the story. Bionicle is essentially a collection of the legends and stories of many characters. Think about it: how many people who are into Bionicle stopped buying the sets, but continued following the story? I know I did. Around 2006 is when I stopped collecting, but I religiously kept up with the lore. Mata Nui Online Game is arguably the most iconic thing Bionicle ever produced, and while yes, it was made to sell sets, one of the reasons it's so beloved is because of the great world building it did.
  16. So I'm kind of working on something for Youtube and I wanted to ask all of you, what you think is a defining trait of Bionicle as a whole. Just an example, like: the collectibles, or the characters, or the Movies, or the Fandom, etc. Something you feel makes Bionicle, what it is or is just very important to talk about, when talking about the longer run of Bionicle.
  17. Over all I would say: yeah I do like Mazekas Swamp Strider. Having something with so much firepower just feels unbelievably cool and Mazeka is a super cool character! But that if I put that asside: it might be unpopular, but the Visorak battleram is also special to me, because I love 2004-2005 of Bionicle very much (don't care what anyone says) and I find it to be very neat. You don't really think of the Clone-Set-Villains, like the Bohrok, the Rahkshi and the Visorak as an organized force, but they very much are and the Visorak battleram is just a cool way of showcasing, that the Visorak actually employ tactics when invading a nex island, since they are a organized army of the Brotherhood. Just wanted to put that out there...
  18. Hi, guys. There are these violent guys called Kestora. They are known to be in two different dimensions: There are a bunch of them in the Red Star. They were created by the Great Beings to run the Red Star. They also like to dissect people, and are not bright. There are a bunch of them created in a pocket dimension (To my understanding, it’s a part of the main reality that is different from the other parts. It’s not an alternate reality because it doesn’t have versions of people from the main reality. Ask Dimension X from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles about it) that Takanuva visited in that book called “Journey of Takanuva” in 2008. These guys are warriors who wanted to take over a city, and made a certain city-building creature’s species critically endangered. However, these guys were stopped by Takanuva and the creature. So, if the Great Beings had created the Kestora to run the Red Star, then why are there Kestora in the pocket dimension? Doesn’t make sense. I would like to think that someone from the Matoran Universe may have been playing with a Kanohi Olmak, the Mask of Dimensional Gates, and used it to send some of the Kestora in the Red Star to the pocket dimension. Or, maybe someone from the pocket dimension may have seen the schematics of the Kestora and have used them to make their own Kestora if the Kestora were to be created in the pocket dimension. You can read about the Kestora here: https://biosector01.com/wiki/Kestora . So, what do you think?
  19. Yeah, this is super cool, even if the prices change over time, having all the different collectables in one place and a rogh idea, how much its gonna cost you is helpful. And over all I just love reading about these sort of things, so even if the prices aren't accurate, I like it very much!
  20. Pretty interesting read! I will say, you mixed the images up for the movie kraahkan and ultimate dume mask. Also missed a decent amount of protos, but that’s understandable. I wish that trans green mohtrek wasn’t a 1/1, that’s my white whale right there.
  21. I'm in agreement with @Aiden, a document like this gets dated pretty fast. However, it is nice to see all the info compiled in one place like this and as you mentioned, it's a good starting guide for sure. Couple ideas/corrections: To avoid the guide being dated by prices, I would embed a Bricklink link to the price history page (this one or this one, dealer's choice) into each of the "suggested prices" below each collectible for all the regular and moderately rare items It looks like the PDF mask tables are images so it probably isn't as easy to embed the links as I'm suggesting, but by doing this and maybe having a "Prices Last Updated XX/YY/ZZZZ" note on the front page to communicate the last time it was edited would help make the document "live" more Regarding the Bubble Cheek Kaukau, they also exist in Trans-Dark Blue, there's a topic with one right here on the site for confirmation along with another comment on them in the Official Rare & Promotional Collectibles Topic Small typo Regarding the de-chromed Light Gray Hau, it's listed as Pearl Gray Red Rurus were also found in this clock set in certain regions There are no documented Sand Blue Kakamas, they've all been Medium Blue, think you've had a typo here Also, there have been at least 3 instances documented, though there could be up to 5 Reddit user Aarhg found 2 and sold one off (I only know about this because I was a potential buyer during the auction back in 2022, though I think there's some evidence of this auction happening on the r/Bioniclelego discord) and also has a picture of the one they initially kept that lines up with the white background style you've used for most collectibles in case you wanna use it, they sold this one later it seems Reddit user NiMaGre's friend found one about a month earlier, I would assume this is different from the two found by Aarhg Two have been sold on Facebook by the same seller, whom I believe is not Aarhg based on his own posts in the r/Bioniclelego discord server A Red Rau was found by this person and seems to be real Hope some of this is helpful!
  22. @Nato G haha yes it... definitely is a long time. Great to have you along, and welcome!! Part I, Chapters 1-3 are refreshed! Or maybe... updated? Edited? Remixed? You get the idea. More coming soon!

  24. Huh, weird. It works when I hit the button but not on other computers. I tried re-uploading it and also put it up on a pdf hosting site. Thanks for letting me know Yeah I was hesitant to put prices in there, it means I'll have to update it. But I get a lot of "how much is this pile worth?" questions so I tried to make it usable for those people? But yeah I'm not sure it's the right call as it does date the guide.
  25. Well, this is certainly a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting a follow-up to Kulu's story, but I'm excited to see it unfold. I love the darker tone, and the implication of more horror to come. Following up on the lingering mystery of the dimensional rift is a great way to connect things back to the original story as well.
  26. This is the review topic for Furthest Reaches, a follow up story to The Volara Cycle.
  27. The link doesn’t work 👍 That being said, I think the big reason there isn’t a big centralized source of this kind of information (other than the Official Rare & Promotional Collectibles Topic over in BST) is because prices fluctuate and some items are a bit too rare to assign a hard price. Interested to see what you’ve got once you get that link working, though!
