  1. That was epic. I was astounded by your close attention to physics too, since that isn't really my strong suit. I tend to just invalidate any physics errors by simply saying "Their power doesn't work quite like the naturally occurring real thing", or "by our understanding of physics and technology this is impossible, by their more advanced understanding it's perfectly fine." But you actually managed to make it work, without any detriment to the storytelling. The action scene was intense and well-written. And I know how you feel, writing big action scenes is difficult. It's rewarding though. Great work.
  2. Eh...that one's actually less detailed than the new art style is. To the point of losing its appeal, at least for me.
  3. Then the game has begun! You have approximately 48 hours to send in your kills.
  4. I'm a Transformers fan. Reboots with major differences are easy for me to deal with. And this set is even easier for me to deal with, this just helps cement my belief that the Okoto Toa are the best set Toa ever. Gear functions without posing drawbacks, dual function weapons, and they're huge. Plus the gold masks and skull spiders actually coming with them means we don't get the pain in the rear part of '01...collecting.
  5. Actually there is a Metru Nui Online. Fanmade of course. I played it, it was...quite interesting actually.
  6. Actually I asked him to put a filler post so I could say this to all of you: It doesn't look like we're getting those spots filled. So who wants to just start now?
  7. Metal can smell bad at times, Pohatu. Try sniffing dirty parts of a car. Not the exhaust though. That might kill you depending on the type of fumes coming out. Now...that was a fair surprise. I thought they were gonna steal it, but instead they built their own version. Interesting. And I see there's that mysterious hand again. Someone wanted that thing functioning...
  8. Hmm. Well, Tetrak's certainly gullible...even if he really was going to check his account at the same time. I somehow get the feeling Sir Vamprah is going to use this to build Makuta a new body.
  9. That chapter was amazing. There's something really gratifying about seeing the answers to all those questions. Granted, I think "Crust-Buster" could have done with a better name. But that's my only issue with this. The writing in this one was excellent, best chapter yet. Vesta's nonsense was hilarious. And I liked the Ahkmou Toa of Shadow reference. This was an incredibly enjoyable chapter to read and I'm looking forward to the next one. Once again, I wish you good luck with this project. Really, that would be good luck to us all.
  10. Crackers. Definitely crackers. With cheese added. Jokes aside, it's definitely more than recognizable as your self-MOC. The style of shading isn't quite what they had in the new art style, but it works as a representation of him in that style nonetheless. Plus, it was just plain fun to see this!
  11. Much too early to be making comparisons like this. Wait until we have at least a year's worth of content to start comparing, and even then, compare it only to '01.
  12. No fan of this series would overlook the thread. I used to be a comic maker with a nicely sized fanbase, and it typically took me longer to get replies from everyone. Now, on to my reply to the chapter! Nice callback and vivid description on Ahkmou's past, yet again. For some reason I really like that detail about him having been forced to wear those cuffs before. It's also cool how you made use of the HF cuff pieces. Taipu and Tenius were funny in that scene. It brought a smile to my face. Oh, so that's why he seemed so happy. Yep, Vesta's still a tailpipe. So there are still those tremors, and all the Turaga are in on....what ever it is that's going on. To some degree anyway. Well, excellent work, because you've achieved your obvious intention of making readers curious, at least in my case. Also glad to learn more about Calor and Banhi's past. Helps see some things more clearly. And yes, I got a kick out of "average J'oh". Nice work making that sound Bionicle-ish.
  13. Well, here's a picture of a Baryonyx skeleton. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baryonyx#mediaviewer/File:Baryonyx_NHM.jpg Zyglak have more leg joints, a thicker, more up-directed torso, longer arms, and a straighter inner jaw. I might be being a little particular here, but if I wasn't being this particular I could say the Baryonyx resembles a T-rex.
  14. It's a cool drawing, but it doesn't resemble a Zyglak all that much. I can recognize some areas though, so that's good. I don't really see the similarity between a Baryonyx and a Zyglak either.
  15. Ok. This is pretty funny, and it's great art too. Maybe the lineart is simpler than what you normally do, but if you did this as a "quick" drawing then I'm astounded. The coloring and shading are downright amazing. Awesome work as usual.
  16. Lot of hate on the bios. There are two ways these new quirks can go. The way everyone seems to assume will 100% for sure happen is Gali constantly making joke attempts that fail, Kopaka falling over frequently, Lewa being a hyperactive freak who never stops talking, Onua falling asleep in battle, Pohatu pulling a full retreat and screaming like a 3 year old if the lights go off, and Tahu forgetting he has elemental powers at all. The other possible way is Gali being mostly humorless with a few, extremely rare (think once every 3 episodes or so, if there's a TV series) instances of attempting to make jokes, none of which ever go well. Kopaka being a little less graceful in his movements during fight scenes, but still taking down bad guys. Lewa being a risktaker, but not annoying. Onua having a generally sleepy tone, and sometimes falling asleep in unimportant conversations, but never falling asleep in anything important. Pohatu having a slight paranoia/jumpy edge in the dark, but nowhere near panic. Tahu forgetting minor details which lead to somewhat poorly thought out plans at times, which is basically the same as he was in the original except with hotheadedness being only partially the cause of bad planning, rather than entirely. Judging by the tone of the Legend of Ekimu and Makuta video, I believe the latter is far more likely.
  17. 2 spots left in Maskmaker!

  18. Heh. Lazy Nidhiki... Uh...is that gonna be revealed in a comic though? I can understand you not telling us in the topic, of course. Hmm. I wonder if he's gonna have any beef with Cyrahk and Thulk about that prank call. By the way, is that Mata green on Sharnak, or a different color? And if it's different, where did you get it? It doesn't look like Mata green...
  19. 3 spots left in Hitman XII: Maskmaker! Who wants some fire and blood?

  20. Argh, I'm dealing with matrices in Algebra 2 now also. And you're actually a step ahead of me, I can't solve anything involving them without my notes on the exact process for how to do it right next to me. Even then I'm prone to making a mistake in one place or another and then having to restart from there. But then, I've always had trouble with mathematical concepts that can't work with physical objects. Geometry, I thought was hard, but now that I'm in Algebra 2 I realize how much more sense it made.
  21. This is just way awesome. The color scheme is flawless all over. (I don't count colored pins as flaws, there's a reason for Lego making those and it's one that we can't really get around) The white Takadox head is the perfect head for this. The whole thing has great monstrous proportions, and it's nice and compact looking. A monster with a staff isn't normal, but then I don't think the MOC would look complete without it. This is one of the few MOCs I can give a 10/10.
  22. Solid construction and colors, definitely looks evil. I like the chains around the torso. But Antroz wings as scythes don't work well at all. Antroz blades are probably better for that. And the torso's a bit too long.
  23. This is interesting. I feel kinda sorry for Silva not being able to use his powers well. Ahkmou seems right at home with them, if inexperienced. Uira seems that way too. I definitely wonder what Turaga Vesta wants to talk about though.
  24. Doesn't work well enough, that's all extremely circumstantial, and all of that would have to be shoehorned in. Hmm. We could say that Gravity is extremely energy consuming to use, Iron can't control living metal, and Plasma moves super slowly/has high energy consumption. That would reduce the power of those elements to around the level of the other stuff. So yeah. All element restrictions are now lifted, with that solution in mind. Any who wishes to may change their element...now.
