  1. BZP doesn't do April Fool's anymore as far as I can tell.
  2. Both were released at the same time, except this one was theater-exclusive for a couple days.
  3. It's because we're older and more cynical and critical now. We're no longer overexcited ten-year-olds with keyboards. Guys, I think we've... shudder... grown up.
  4. Apparently this was playing before some showings of Dawn of Justice. Wasn't sure if it would be released online or not. Schumacher will never live down the Bat-nipples, will he?
  5. That one was the worst for me. It's the one that got me to stop paying attention to Lego games. The dialogue just doesn't fit in with the atmosphere the games try to create, and the writers have to improvise with stuff like this: That's not witty, that's stupid. And it's annoying to have that juxtaposed with the serious dialogue. ____ Would it have killed TT Games to wait until the new trilogy is over to make this game? Then again, Warner Bros. is involved, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised.
  6. That's a very different story from what another source said. He said that some changes were made late in development that just completely crippled the game mechanics, and that the project was cancelled halted before they could even begin working on properly fix it all up.
  7. I really wish they would have opted not to use voice acting for this one... to stay in the spirit of the first two games, y' know? The voice acting stuff just doesn't work for me, especially for the games based off films.
  8. I'm not watching this. It wouldn't be hard to make a stand-alone film that could still be in the same "world" as the TV series. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm was a theatrical spin-off film of an animated series that a viewer didn't need prior knowledge of. C'mon, it's not that hard!
  9. This couldn't be further from the truth. Saffire had quite a bit of work ahead of them at the time of cancellation.
  10. Yeah, definitely! The games were all great. Around 2010 though things started going downhill. The games just generally started getting less and less fun.
  11. The Lego website and its content was at its best in the mid-2000s.
  12. I have an idea for a game - there are two teams, and players carry a stick with a hurler on one end and a hammer on the other; they try to hit this ball thing into the other team's goal. I came up with a good name for it too, I call it kohlii.
  13. Yeah, like I said, I think it came directly from the rendering software... meaning that the background and animation could have very well changed. Maybe it was one of the earlier shots compiled.
  14. Interesting. Of course, there's no Blu-ray release... I guess companies still think kids are too dumb to know the difference. Or maybe Blu-rays of kids' television have been proven to not do well in sales, I dunno.
  15. Woah, really? pics or it didn't happen
  16. Says who? For all we know the master files are SD. I'm willing to bet they are...
  17. This is probably something this particular crew member can't say much about, but will the music be released at all at some point in the future?
  18. I know. I believe the problem is that previous entries were actually reviewed by Greg. What Greg gave here is a blanket pass to the winning entries, which in my eyes is enough to warrant them being put up on BS01, since, c'mon, it's not like there's going to be any future canon for it to work against.
  19. Greg didn't meticulously go through each story, so technically they're not canon.
  20. It's been 15 years... don't expect anything groundbreaking any time soon, lol
  21. Actually, I think nothing would ruin the Bionicle story more. Not everything in the plot needs a complete solution; it's nice to leave the door always open for future adventures, if only for the imagination of the reader's sake.
  22. Don't be so sure about that. Lots and lots of older films are being released on Blu-ray. I don't know about it not being "the most dominant format" compared to DVDs - although I'm sure most people in the world do stick to DVDs - but that's no reason not to release it on Blu-ray. The only type of video that doesn't seem to be getting Blu-ray releases is children's television, because kids don't care about video quality. Unfortunately that means great stuff like Mystery Incorporated and the recent TMNT series only get DVDs, but that's the way it goes. Like SciFiGuy said... a private investor would have to want to release the films if we ever want to see them in HD. Wat
  23. BZPower actually was given a screengrab from LoMN in HD. It's beyond even 1080p. I think it came directly from the rendering software. Here's the full article. You'll note that the other screengrabs seem to be upconverts from the SD source. It's too bad there isn't anyone we could easily contact to get to the bottom of this mystery.
  24. ToaTimeLord, doesn't the fact that you have to jump through so many hoops to be able to convincingly say that G1 and G2 are connected give you the impression that maybe they're not? Fan theories only work if they have more than a few nuggets of evidence to back them up...
  25. I can't believe it's been over a year since G2 started and people still make these types of threads.
