I've met a few people over the years who have known poeple who were in New York or Washington D.C. at the time of the attacks. They all sounded very serious about this. My thoughts and prayer go out to them.

Ever-so true. At the beginning of school today, my teacher asked everyone in my class if they had any recollections they or someone they've known remembers about that day they'd like to share. One of them said they knew someone whos son was running late to work at the world trade center. Fortunately, he got there after the plane hit, and got out of there as fast as he could.

What Are You Listening To At This Very Moment?
Vartemp replied to Nescent's topic in Completely Off Topic
Bye Bye Babylon, in honor of BIONICLE's definite return. -
Possibly the biggest news in BIONICLE history. Anyway, if I haven't said it before, I'd prefer a continuation from where it left off, but I'd be open to a completely new story as well. I'm probably only gonna focus on canister sets unless I see something else that looks impressive. Don't want to spend all my money now.

"Poor Poor Pitiful Me" - Warren Zevon -
I haven't been getting the magazine for about four years now, but where else would I have gotten my BIONICLE comics? Now with the talk of BIONICLE 2015, I might just subscribe again.

I'd have to agree with bonesiii. Maybe the old story (where it left off) could be explained in sub plots, like in story serials. If the story just started where it left off, new fans would be confused. But by no means do the writers have to start from scratch. They could use a new generation of Toa/Glatorian, while the older generation may not even appear in the main storyline.

Interesting point. Never noticed this trend before. I just noticed all named Skakdi (besides Nektann) have the ak sound in them, which is pronounced very similar to ahk. I wonder if this sound means "evil" in some language. I also noticed Teridax and Icarax both end in -ax, so this could mean "leader" in some language.

Why multiple Makuta may still be alive
Vartemp replied to Makuta_of_Oz's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
I think the Red Star was made to repair beings that were originally created by the GBs. The Makuta species would not go to the Red Star if they were killed, because Mata Nui created the Makuta. The only other sapient species in the MU that would probably not be teleported to the Red Star would be the Zyglak, but that's a different story. -
Isn't Tahu Technically Suppose to be Dead?
Vartemp replied to Banana Gunz's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
Pretty sure Tahu was meant to become a Toa Nuva, because he needed that extra power to fight the Bohrok-Kal, Rahkshi, and the Makuta who invaded Karda Nui. He just didn't need to be a Toa Nuva for the rest of his life, since he needed to wear the Golden Armor. -
The possible new enemy in BIONICLE's return.
Vartemp replied to TheBioNerd's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
Not so certain if a reboot is possible, since the story came to a standstill in 2011, and we haven't heard anything since. If there was a reboot, I would think it would be at least 500 years after the reformation of Spherus Magna, and the Great Beings might be having this "Civil War" that Takanuva was said to be a major part of. -
Just trying to make a point. Maybe it's that I haven't been paying much attention to the fanbase since 2011, but it seems to me almost everyone is getting their suggestions canonized lately. I see where you get that. Greg is just preoccupied with more urgent work he has at the moment. I wouldn't say he's not a good writer. After all, with the support of a story team, he did some amazing work for the books and comics. And he's done great work with some other subsequent LEGO books. You don't have to be able to manage a huge and expansive franchise just to write a good story. And writing as a part of a team is a skill no less valuable than managing an entire story on your own. Most TV writers work as part of a team, but it would be very unfair to them to say that they're "not good writers". Greg is not a bad writer, but I think a story team would be of help to him. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll get one, since BIONICLE is, as far as we know, over.

That's pretty much what has been happening lately. Fans are just suggesting loose ends to Greg, and he usually seems to just say yes. Now I understand Greg is a busy guy, but too much fan influence just takes thrill away from the story. It's as if Greg is just too lazy to deal with BIONICLE right now, when he was the writer of it for eight years.

Ever since we knew the Red Star was a place where beings are taken to be repaired, I figured the Kestora were meant to -be a part of that process, since the GBs put them there. I'm thinking either the Kestora are somehow behind the malfunction of the red star, or they just got bored after the red star malfunctioned, and are using their time to experiment on beings teleported there.

Decided to take the opportunity of having my blog back to announce I'll be back for at least the next few weeks, for anyone who remembers me. I guess it was the reveals that Greg has been giving lately that got me back into BIONICLE. So if anyone has been wondering what I've been doing for the past 3 or so years, I've been keeping up with school, and have gained other interests, such as Pokemon (but not so much now), rock music, Halo, and the Elder Scrolls series. Feel free to ask about any of those things if you're looking for converation.

I remember being confused about this ever since I heard Metru Nui was "below" the island of Mata Nui. The introduction of Voya Nui somewhat helped me understand, but I stil found it odd how Metru Nui was "underground". When we finally learned at the end of 2008 of the robot, it all made sense to me. To answer your question, I don't think the story would work, because before we learned of the robot, the location of these places weren't really well-described.

I believe this is still something that has not been explained yet. I don't think it's ever been confirmed that the Avohkii was imbued with Toa Power.

I knew it was part of a contest, but I thought I recalled it being mentioned somewhere as having some significance.

I apologize if this topic has been touched on before. After almost three years of shying away from BIONICLE, I looked back through some of the old comics and MNOG, and realized how much unexplained material back then is still a mystery today. I went to BS01 to refresh my memory on some of the objects / events in question, but sure enough, not much has been discovered about them. MNOG brought up the most questions I have. My biggest questions that came from it is, how did that Golden Kanohi found in that chamber beneath the great sundial get there, and how did it disappear later on? I asumme it was placed there by the Great Beings, since the sundial was part of the Mata Nui robot, which the GBs made, but that's just me . If you have any explainations of your own, or any other old parts of the story that have yet to be explained, post them.

Gotta say, Toa V's return was the only thing that brought me out of retirement.

This is BS01's idea for an AFD joke. Sorry staff members, but this is even worse than 2010's AFD prank.
