  1. You sure can! You can even get whatever you want painted on it (provided it's not Nicholas Cage).
  2. Welp, this time around I have some old things and some new things to show off, the new 2015 masks, and some very rusty, very ancient masks. First off, the new masks! Next up, we have the old masks. (old looking anyway) And here's the usual list of links to other places you can see my stuff. Store Deviantart Tumblr Flickr

The last two are the same thing... Also, you should probably edit the original post since no one has commented yet.
  4. The art is pretty good, but you might want to tone down on the narration. It makes it a bit redundant to look at the panel and then have everything that happens described in words.
  5. I think it might work better without the words, at least as a wallpaper anyway.
  6. Been working on these for some time now, but I'm finally finished! Also here are a bunch of links to stuff that I do.
  7. Did somebody say paint? Going to be honest here, kind a dumb thing to say. While I'm all for purism and building within constraints, I don't get how painting doesn't use imagination or doesn't take effort (though I am a bit biased on that front). Seems like you need to get off your high horse yourself mister "actual imagination and effort".
  8. Just bringing this back up as to what you claim is constructive criticism. You said that they lack in quality; alright, fine, that's your own opinion. But then you proceed to claim a three dollar markup that brings the total price to still the cheapest masks in the shapeways shop is crazy, as if it's crazy to want to make any sort of money from one's personal work, then you call them unprofessional for wanting to charge money in exchange for making these designs, as if charging for services provided is somehow not what professionals do. I am genuinely confused as to what irks you so much about a markup if the masks are still the cheapest around. Now, I know next to nothing about 3D modelling, I'll be the first to admit, but I do know a thing or two about useful critiques. They're specific, singling in on details and exactly what looks wrong, steering away from generalizations and ignoring the creator entirely to avoid bias. Use the level of experience in 3D modelling your posts imply to help improve the masks themselves, instead of making personal remarks about pricing and immaturity. There's no need to be rude about a critique.
  9. I would honestly love to see these people that are selling masks for cheaper on shapeways that you're talking about, because I can't seem ot find them. I'm going to have to disagree with you on your opinion that they lack in quality or look unprofessional as well, because I think these are pretty fantastic. I can't wait to see more work like this!
  10. Welp, time for some more headaches for purists. This time a whole set instead of just a mask. Before and after comparison: Close up of all the masks: Other shots can be found here, and as always my website can be found here.
  11. Looks pretty good! Reminds me a bit of those chozo ghosts from Metroid.
  12. Now this might just be me being OCD, but the division between the red and green sections doesn't quuiite reach the corner.
  13. Snazzy! I love the coloring on this one. Only thing that seems weird is the relatively small amount amount of complexity in the torso when compared to the rest of the picture, though I suppose that's more of an issue with the original turaga sets more than anything.
  14. Surprise! It's not a mask collage! But yeah, this is my interpretation of a crustacean-y bohrok. Specifically a gahlok because I honestly had no idea how to translate the hand bits of any of the other bohrok into something not completely silly looking.
  15. Huh, never imagined Pohatu as Dixie Kong, but okay.

Yup yup yup. Love everything about it.
  17. Proportions need a little work. The masks are almost as big as the limbs. Very nice color gradients, though they might be too complex for easy spriting.
  18. I'm digging the background. Gorast's grabbed arm seems a little long though.
  19. Seeing as there are about four different versions of all these masks now (and what, six for the hau?), the original six are probably buried somewhere in a far off desert. And it just so happens that I was asked to whip up what they would look like in such a situation. (apologies for the blurriness in some of these) Websites! DeviantArt Bricklink
  20. Might want to turn up the darkness scale on your scanner.
  21. Hands seem a bit small, as well as Hali's mid-torso, but otherwise a good piece.
  22. You might want to switch to a more solid brush, but otherwise it's pretty good.
  23. That particular piece was a commission, so it has already been sold. However, I do take custom orders, and I have been keen to try out the new order form system we have set up here.
