"Rhotuka spinners, being pure energy, make very little noise when they fly. Even if the one Roodaka launched had, Nidhiki would never have heard it over the noise of his own thoughts. All he knew was the black pain when it struck, the world spinning in front of his eyes, the bizarre sensation of his muscles shifting, altering, becoming something alien." - Narrator, Birth of a Dark Hunter I was so excited when the BIONICLE Encyclopedia first came out, I bought it immediately when I found it at my local book store. I started reading it immediately and when I got to the end, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the short serial at the end of the book. About Nidhiki of all characters (one of my favorites from 2004)! It was the coolest thing, learning about his adventures with Lhikan as a Toa, his betrayal of his fellow brothers, and his eventual mutation by the hand of Roodaka. It easily became one of my favorite serials, and this is what I decided to theme my submission on for the BBC 78 Contest. I realized that while many people have made extremely good MOCs of Nidhiki as a Toa, I've never seen one of him somewhere in-between his old and new body. I wanted to capture the moment in time of him mid-mutation, body shifting from a heroic Toa's stance into his new monstrous form. Hope you guys like seeing this new twist on this character, and let me know what you think! Thanks all! Roodaka's Rhotuka striking his back Back view without the pesky Rhotuka

Official BBC Contest #78: The Good 20-20!
TERIDAX941 replied to Tufi Piyufi's topic in Bionicle-Based Creations
@Tufi Piyufi I had a question as well, am I able to submit more than one photo of the creation in the link you attach to the form (such as a dropbox folder with 4 pictures or so), or can I only submit one? Thanks! -

I would've kept Tahu as a Nuva. Golden Armor is cool, but I loved his Nuva look, and I like to keep the Nuva as a complete team, not 5 and a tag on. I also would have let Krika survive, maybe let him assist the heroes during their rebellion against Teridax.

Wow, you definitely have my vote! I always loved pirates, and this one looks to be a tale of epic proportions!

Cool! I already have a great idea for this! Out of curiosity, what exactly is a Chronicler's Staff? (outside of story that is) -
Longer kraata more flat and Lang than regular.

"Well loved." I like that analogy I had at least 2 in my collection of 24 or so, not bad odds. I had wondered if they were misprints or not, but yes they do definitely have trouble sitting inside Rahkshi. -
Light up eye head canon (non Piraka)
TERIDAX941 replied to TERIDAX941's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
True true, though I wouldn't mind for him to have some sort of vision based power, like causing temporary blindness in his targets or something (now that'd be effective!) That's actually a cool idea, he does have a "shield" visor under his mask like Hahli did, though any modifications he got might be from the Pit, rather than from the Ignika like she was. -
I like it! It would make sense to have some sort of device that could create a whole bunch of Toa all at once if the need arose. One thing I'd note though, according to Tuyet herself, Toa Stones aren't super special in and of themselves: "...almost any rock can serve as one. A Toa takes it in hand and places a minute portion of his energy inside. Later, it can be used to trigger the transformation of a Matoran into a Toa. But a Toa Stone is passive – just a receptable for Toa Energy. The Nui Stone is something else again." That being said, naturally the Nui Stone would have to be much more than an ordinary rock, so I'd say your theory is quite sound. I do find it interesting that putting Toa Energy into Toa Stones is voluntary on the Toa's part, but the Nui Stone takes the Energy whether the Toa(s) wish it or not. (Btw, I really like your signature picture. Very cool!)

This is incredible, thanks for taking the initiative and putting all of this together! Looking forward to seeing how progress goes!

Lego themes that you would want in a Super Smash Bros game?
TERIDAX941 replied to Lenny7092's topic in LEGO Discussion
For me, Power Miners (Crystal King anyone?) Johnny Thunder, Aliens from Mars Mission, etc -
So we all know about the light up eyes that were introduced in 2006 by the Piraka, how in the story each member of the Piraka species have vision based powers. However, those guys weren't the only sets that included light up eyes, both Umbra (released that same year) and Lesovikk (2007) were given light up eyes in their sets. Neither of these characters have listed in their bio (or shown in the story) of having vision powers. Now I know this probably was LEGO trying to use up that light up eye feature that wasn't ever going to be seen again after the Piraka left the scene, but I was wondering if anyone has any head canon of whether or not Umbra and Lesovikk have vision powers (either naturally given, or a side effect of Pit Mutagen). Or are these two characters so minor, nobody even cared to think up a story-wise reason why they have light up eyes? Of the two, my own personal head canon is that Umbra has a version of Laser vision (similar to Zaktan) because that goes well with his arsenal of light powers. For Lesovikk... I haven't decided if he should have any.

He's alive! It's good to see you continue this, I honestly had forgotten about it since 2017 (lots has happened since then...) Thanks for putting out new chapters, there have been epics (and comedies) that I've followed in the past that were never completed and it always made me sad, and wonder how it would have ended. Great couple of chapters as usual, it's still very entertaining to read.

I kept all of mine that that I bought first hand with the canisters. The only set I never got early on was Tahu, and I got him later on for a really good deal without his canister (however I might go back and find a spare one someday...) I enjoyed having them all stored away in their individual canisters, they always looked super cool (especially the Bohrok in their "hive")

I feel like I need that on my wall. It's very appealing to look at, nicely done!
