  1. IC Mahrika Gymnasium Mahrika shook Squid's hand. "I was at your diplomacy class. A sorely-needed lesson for this school if there ever was one." He turned back to Rain. "That's one way of putting it." To Squid, he explained: "She got arrested for probably a lot of things, I was mistaken for some other silver Rahk who stole some food. We had a not-so-nice time as inmates." A moment passed, and Mahrika realized what he'd just said. He stared at Squid, wondering whether to accuse them of the crime he'd been arrested for. IC Vir Vir's Dormitory "What? Captured? Do you think we should go to Suvak?"
  2. OOC: Vir's agender, but it's no big deal; there would be differences in their armor proportions and such. IC Vir Vir's Dormitory Misinformation? What kind of justification was that? "You... you broke into my room because you wanted to help someone?" IC Mahrika Gymnasium Well, Tridax had more or less answered his question. He tilted his head slightly towards Rain. "Very funny," he muttered. "So, is that doorman friend of yours out of intensive care yet?"
  3. IC Vir Vir's Dormitory Vir finally disentangled themself from the sheet and stared at Root in confusion. "What are you talking about?" IC Mahrika Gymnasium Mahrika entered the gymnasium and slipped into the crowd, finding himself by Squid and Rain. "What's going on here?" he asked quietly.
  4. What do you know, it works! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Akavakaku/Corpus-Rahkshi/mahrika.lxf Go ahead and customize it; the shoulders, hips, torso height, and, of course, limbs are all meant to be adjustable. Just don't put it somewhere and say it's your design, etc.
  5. IC Vir Vir's Dormitory Vir struggled in a panic to extricate themself from the sheet, and finally managed to tear through the fabric with one arm, which inadvertently swept towards Root's face.
  6. Ok then. Anyway, I just finished a virtual CCBS Rahkshi, complete with an arm swiveling function just like the original's. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Akavakaku/Corpus-Rahkshi/lddrahk1.png I don't think LDD files can be uploaded, so just let me know if you want a breakdown pic so you can build your own.
  7. How does Palma speak Matoran?
  8. IC Vir Vir's Dormitory Vir was awoken by a tremendous crash, as though their door had been knocked in. As it turned out, that was exactly what had happened. Standing in the doorway were three Rahkshi: one covered with moss, one carrying a shield, and one wearing a hat. Vir screamed and tried to leap out of bed, but failed and became tangled in the sheet. OOC: Vir happens to look just like Melody.
  9. That claw is so cool! Looks like it's blasting out ice jets.
  10. Really? I can't even tell what pieces they used, can you share a picture?
  11. An extension for LDD that turns CCBS MOCs into animated characters, maybe even with a MMO world to visit. Edit: What an acronym soup!
  12. I never even consider which hand I'm putting an MOC's weapon in. Even with actual sets I usually just do what I feel like.
  13. Yes, it's certainly possible that "The Mask Hoarder" was given to Makuta later. Perhaps there's a reason for "mau" being changed to "mu" in one name and "ma" in the other?
  14. IC Mahrika Gymnasium Mahrika, who'd been similarly distracted by the Kaita's appearance, nodded to his opponent and exited the gymnasium. OOC: Sorry, still very busy.
  15. I was referring to Malbranche. Anyone know how far it is? That's what I meant, across the island of Nyrah relative to Phantom, which I think you miswrote as Nyrah. 16. IC Mahrika Gymnasium With his trident deflected out of the way by Mantis's defense, Mahrika tried to block his strike by grabbing Mantis's wrist with his free hand, then swept up the trident into a more defensive position in case Mantis attacked with the other kama. OOC: Works fine for me, I have some IRL things to do.
  17. You mean Phantom? It's just about all the way across the island.
  18. IC Mahrika Gymnasium Mahrika narrowed his eyes, taking in Mantis's stance and the kamas he wielded. His mind made up, he stepped forward and took a sweep towards Mantis's chest with the head of the trident, using it like a Rahkshi staff.
  19. You know, it's been three months and we've almost caught up with News and Discussion.
  20. IC Mahrika Gymnasium Mahrika bowed back to Mantis, a little awkwardly. He wasn't used to bowing. Then he stepped back and folded his arms. "Before we start, though, let's settle on some rules. One, no changing the arena mid-battle. It makes it too complicated. Two, either of us can quit at any time. Three, don't try to go past your limit. That okay?"
  21. I think the decayed state of the Skull Soldiers is also symbolically important: The Toa are "timeless", while their enemies are ragged and decayed, the exact opposite.
  22. IC Mahrika Gymnasium Mahrika noticed an insectoid-faced Rahkshi sitting by the edge of the gymnasium. With a thought, he instructed the gym to clean up his remaining practice targets, then approached the Rahkshi. "Care for a spar?"
  23. Ok, I think I'll try again at the Brothers' names. əki-mu: mask-maker; masker. From əki, "mask," and causal affix mu. əki-mu > əkimu mu-əki-uta: mask-keeper; mask-hoarder. From əki, "mask," uta, "to have [many]," and causal affix mu. mu-əki-uta > məkuta So now we can throw out the "E must begin a word" business. The affix "mu" represents an origin when as a suffix, and a current state when as a prefix. So mu-əki might be mask-bearer, while əki-uta-mu could be mask-collector. o koto: the world, the land. From o, "the/the one," and koto, "land/region/place." o koto > okoto kra-ata: spider; literally "mastery of crawling/twitching." From ata, "to crawl/to twitch," and kra, "mastery/control." kra-ata > krata kra-atə: lord; leader; literally "control of the many/the mass." From atə, "the/the many," and kra, "mastery/control." kra-atə > kratə So what other words can we make with these? okotatə: Okotans. okotatə < okoto-atə atəkoto: the universe; literally "the worlds." atəkoto < atə koto mukra: master. mukra < mu-kra omu-əki: Mask of Creation. omu < o+mu (literally "origin of it" or "the origin") krao-əki: Mask of Control. krao < kra-o (literally "control of it") kratəkoto-əki: Mask of Ultimate Power. kratekoto < kra-atəkoto (literally "control of the universe") Not a bad vocabulary for four source words. I might consider adding the Toa's names to the mix, but I'm not sure if the Okotatuh named the Toa themselves, or simply copied their names from an external source.
