  1. Plot twist: the new body looks exactly like Akino.
  2. So I made a type of board... it's a big disk, an XPod lid, and tucked inside are three blades. There's a roll-cage type thing on the top of the board, you grip this, it stays (mostly) stationary and the disk spins. Tilt the board on its side and you move forward, then the blades come out for offensive capabilities. Anyway. Expect pictures.

      Can't wait, sounds interesting.

  3. Question, can any of the ZDoom engines (like Zandro) use vector images? If so, using the old Templar MNOG graphics in the Doom engine shouldn't be out of the question. (I know nothing about Doom modding so I'm hoping someone can help me out here)
  4. Let me just say right now I would buy Overwatch in a heartbeat if they made Lego sets from it.
  5. Speaking of an Exo-Force reboot, the parts from the HF minifigures would be perfect for the villain robots. Actually, now that I think about it, CCBS might work really good for a Pokemon license. Since CCBS isn't all, y'know, mechanical and stuff. You could have small sets like Pikachu, 'Toa' size ones like Swampert, Manectric, Machoke, and then have really epic titans like Tyranitar and Charizard. Plus, more non-humanoid builds. (I really just want a Lucario on my desk next to Hewkii)
  6. 2001. Makuta's Void form... oh man. Everything else to me is cliche. Showing up as a little infected Matoran? His body blowing apart as the tentacles come down? The Toa parts floating around in the vortex? That speech, "You cannot destroy me, for I am nothing." I still want to audition with that monologue someday. Ah, that was perfect. 2003 and 2004 were cool, though I wish they had more dialog. "Sleep spares him pain! Awake, he suffers." Ace. I just wish there was more of it. And then later, Turaga Lhikan confronting Makuta - "You were sworn to protect the Matoran!" "And I shall..." I loved how it kept hinting to that guardian side of Makuta, something in his past that went horribly wrong. Welp, that's it for the "Back in MY day" speech... dang I feel old now.
  7. There's a sucker born every minute.
  8. Ugh, that comic... there are so many things wrong with most of my older work, both in terms of the art and pacing, I can't look at it without feeling some level of shame, Now. I think Metroid Revival is the point where my work finally started getting decent. Also, that will be addressed in later chapters. No need to be hard on yourself, man, it's miles beyond what I could do =P Still... those Ba-Matoran, they're either really cunning, insane, or just plain weird.
  9. Sorry, my life has been under siege by Malkhar/college applications/procrastination, that and I started reading Psuedo Sapien (love it, BTW). I meant to read these earlier, now I got around to it - anyhow. Love it. I actually didn't look at the illustrations too closely, just dived into the journal entries. Right now, it seems... decent. I know things are going south for the crew (perhaps literally? *is shot for pun*), but the Toa Miro seem to be... well, still on the good side. Perhaps they can't stand to be around each other for extended periods of time, but they haven't turned on the Matoran. Voima's still my favorite character... even though I have no idea what she actually is. Skakdi of Shadow? I don't know. She's a boss, that's what she is =P *is shot again* But still. Why didn't the Turaga or the Ba-Matoran say anything? They knew of the natives' existence, they had a good idea they hated them. Why didn't the Ba-Matoran try to warn anyone, even if they knew they were sailing into a trap? I'm intrigued and definitely want more. Nice work.
  10. It's back. It's back? IT'S BAAAAAAAAACK!
  11. I thought they were guns for the longest time, then apparently they were hands. When we were playing, Tahu's shot out fire, Lewa's shot out vines or something... I can't remember what we came up with for Pohatu. Fast-drying cement, maybe. But yeah, officially they're hands.
  12. Thanks everyone. I'll take a look and see what I can find.
  13. Maybe it could survive, maybe it couldn't. But I can't help but think if it became a huge popular brand, it'd lose some of what made it special on the way. For now I'm content to wallow in my nostalgia before contemplating any new developments.
  14. I'm pretty sure there was another topic along these lines before. I think clones are fine if you have combiners, then you can build said combiners with whatever same-wave sets you have. Also - this is just me - but clone waves kinda look like a uniform of some sorts. To me it makes sense all the Toa on one team have similar armor, it's their distinguished 'team' look. The Bohrok are all the same basic type of minion, the Rahkshi are the same brood, so on and so forth.
  15. Some of you may have noticed my character Pharaoh posing in my MOC pictures, holding up a gun or something. Well, now he has his own page, along with his partner-in-crime Cleopatra. Pharaoh and Cleo are both Vortixxes (Vortices?) and Dark Hunters. Pharaoh used to be human, until a teleportation experiment went horribly wrong and teleported him into the Matoran Universe as a Vortixx. Eventually he wound up on Xia as a slave, but escaped taking a load of experimental weapons with him. The Dark Hunters took him in, letting him keep some of the stolen weapons after he showed skills with his trademark pistols. Cleo, on the other hand, joined the Hunters of her own choice. She and Pharaoh get along pretty well, she's the only person Pharaoh can talk to about trying to get back home. Pharaoh carries two Fire-based pistols, capable of firing in a variety of different modes. With the wing-like bayonets, they make savage melee weapons. He's also immune to a variety of toxins. Due to this, he's known to carry around Cordak missiles - in a tight situation, he'll inhale the explosives, create a spark with his claws in front of his face and breath out fire. After one mission, his legs were horribly damaged, so he was given cybernetic replacements with rocket boots. Pose Front View Back View Pistols Action Shot Unlike most Vortixxes, Cleo has white skin, not black. She has a more... refined fighting style than Pharaoh, dueling with a long, elegant Protoscythe. The weapon has a disk launcher built in, with it she can hurl Kanoka at insanely high speeds, or snatch them out of the air. Blade and launcher split apart if the situation calls for more accuracy than a scythe swing. Like Pharaoh, she has rocket boots hidden inside her heels. While I didn't break the Inika clone form much with Pharaoh, Cleo was a lot more fun. Doing the Protoscythe, her chain-link 'hair', her dress, her shoes and heels... it was just fun. I guess that's why I took more pictures of her. Also, aside from my Matoran Gali a few months back, this is my first female MOC... but I think she came out okay. 16. My second revamp of the Exo-Force set Iron Condor. I split the wings apart, added flamethrowers and claws to both hands, and replaced the rocket launcher with a chaingun. I also found another use for spent .22 shells. The feet are redone too, less like boots and more like claws. 17. "Whoa! Is that a scythe?" "It's also a customizable, high-impact sniper rifle!" "Uh... what?" "It's also a gun." "Oh..." So due to NickonAquaMagna's crossover pics, I have been introduced to the wonderful world of RWBY, and I absolutely love this show. For those who don't know - RWBY takes place in a world plagued by shadowy demon-monsters. To keep from being annihilated, the humans have set up schools, training people to fight said monsters. Ruby Rose is one of the students at Beacon Academy, one of these schools. Her weapon of choice is a fold-up scythe that also has a sniper rifle inside she calls Crescent Rose. Here's my take on the weapon - and hey, it still folds up! (more or less) Folded Transformation, pt.1 Pt. 2 Pt. 3 Scythe Form Wielded It's Also a Gun Comments, critiques and all that jazz are appreciated. Especially the jazz. -Jaga
  18. Two Vortixxes (Vortices?), Iron Condor, and Ruby's scythe are MOC'd, expect pictures.

  19. Lego Racers (the video games) need rebooted. Racers 2 was fun but now I can't play with my sister... if they rebooted it with online multiplayer, that'd be awesome.
  20. Could Bionicle itself be considered a reboot of Slizers?
  21. This literally just made my day and said day hasn't even started yet
  22. For those of you who don't know, I'm programming a game. I don't have much (yet) but when it's done I want to have voice acting for the three main characters. There's a problem, I know nothing about voice acting except that my current headset mic sucks. However I know people have VA'ed for various projects here (the Audio Narration Project, Rebirth Chronicles, and Brutaka's Game come to mind) and I desire to pick your brains. Question one: I found this microphone at a local pawn shop for $60. Is this a good microphone? Is it a good price? Will it work for VA'ing? Question two: If I don't get the above microphone - do you have any recommendations? My price range is up to the above mentioned $60. I don't want to buy junk, but neither do I want to fall prey to the 'OH IF YOU DON'T SPEND 300 BUCKS FOR THIS THING EVERYTHING'S GONNA SUCK' mentality that people seem so fond of shoving on me. (Not you, BZP, you're great.) If you have a microphone you like, isn't maniacally expensive, and works for VA'ing I am open to suggestions. Muchas gracias! -Jaga
  23. Hakann's reaction to lifting weights is the same as mine...
  24. Considering that the Toa in Gen2 were (more or less) the same famous Toa from Gen1, maybe Gen3 should do something with all-star villains. Instead of having a team of heroes from Gen1, have a team of traitors. Ahkmou, Toa of Stone. Vultraz, Toa of Fire. Mavrah, Toa of Earth. Nidhiki, Toa of Air. Metus, Toa of Ice. And Tuyet, Toa of Water. Also, another idea: if and when there was a Gen3, would you like humans to be involved in the story? Maybe the Toa and Matoran are robots created by human scientists, maybe Makuta is a powerful virus that's gone out of control. Thoughts?
