  1. Oops. So she is. Random question, was Ultio's mech-suit anything like what the Venators are using?
  2. I want a Mahi goat steed now =P
  3. Huh. I'm not sure if he's a powerhouse or a nimble fighter. Maybe a mix of both. Actually, considering his mask power, he could be devastating as a Toa of Psionics - using telekinesis to speed up his motions, or throw his axe and have it psychically home in on somebody... maybe it's the purple, I always associate purple with psychic powers, I guess from playing too much Pokemon =P Anyway, you haven't said whether or not the Venators are sticking to the conventional elements except for Traag using fire, so I guess they could have any powers. If any of the Venators KO the Toa Miro, my money's on this guy.
  4. I think this is the most plausible explanation, people are older, make opinions, plus there's this thing called nostalgia that keeps slapping me in the face whenever I see BIONICLE (you know, in that one special font they always do the logo in). You know, I haven't seen anybody on the website saying "Hey! I just got into Bionicle watching Journey to One! So, um, what's this Gen1/Gen2 thing you keep talking about, with the giant robot and this guy named Teridax?" It's all people who got hooked in Gen1, have a bunch of nostalgia, and reminisce about the 'good old days' (myself included). I'm not sure what that reflects on, but my point is that (I think) people on here are older than a kid who just got started with Gen2. On the other hand, now I feel ancient...
  5. For Toa armor, I think it's to identify members of the same Toa team. So all the Nuva have the same armor style, same with the Metru and Inika, because that's the team's own specific style. Maybe the armor's made in batches, too, so the Nuva got armor version 1, the Metru got version 2, so on and so forth.
  6. I grab my trusty elephant-shooting elephant gun, then run off with the mask while you're trying to get a five-ton African mammal off of yourself. My mask.
  7. Sweet gun, looks very accurate to the real thing except for that piece sticking out under the barrel - is that supposed to be a vertical grip? (Now I wanna see tactical Melum =P)
  8. Metru Nui. Your only weapons are your disks, launcher, and a blade. Parkour around the city, do stunts like chute dives, ride akilini boards and hoverbikes, annoy the Vahki. Sort of like Mirror's Edge, or Celaria with combat. You could have the choice of doing a campaign, or pick courses to run around the city. Or, actually, I recall the videos of that City of Legends prototype game having a decent parkour system, why not finish that up and give it some polish. Bionicle Smash Brothers. Enough said. And I'm always a sucker for Myst clones like MNOG. Actually I've been waiting for a Gen2 MNOG since Gen2 came out. Great art, cool story, lots of NPCs, what's not to love?
  9. Sweet Mata Nui... I believe, good sir, you just surpassed Templar themselves... if there ever was a "MNOG: Masterpiece Edition" this just would have to be in there. Keep up the fantastic work, I'll be busy picking my jaw up off the floor.
  10. This man speaks the truth. Though, given humanity being humanity and human nature being shot through with more holes than Swiss cheese, I wouldn't be surprised if the Great Beings were human or humanity's descendants.
  11. Oh man, I remember loving this guy in Glatorian Arena... the double-claw smash, nothing stood in front of that thing. Now he looks like less of a heavyweight brawler and more nimble, like he'd dodge a careless slash with a sword, then pull you into a choke hold with those giant claws... nicely done. I'm gonna see what I can do with my Malum now =P
  12. We get a brainstalk but no head. Well, at least the zombies will be happy...
  13. Yay Voima's back =) Would they be the Toa Novus' journals or the Matoran's journals, or maybe both? If so, I wonder how the Novus got enough willpower back from the dummy masks to write journals... they would definitely make for interesting reading.
  14. Might you say he's... beast? Some say he's banned from Quake tournaments for being too beast. *cracks knuckles and stinger* Challenge accepted.
  15. Nuparu and the Boxor meets Hiro and Baymax from Big Hero 6. Actually you could have a lot of teamups between mecha series, I wouldn't really know though because I don't know any mecha series. Another idea is Hafu finding a time machine and going back to Renaissance Italy and working with Michelangelo, da Vinci, all those people... well actually he'd probably spend more time arguing and making chaos than working on art =P
  16. Were the MNOG games inspiration at all? Also, how'd they go about finding the voice actors?
  17. You know, Akaku's facial expression is quite fitting now that Ghidora has his hand on his shoulder =P
  18. Forsooth, now I have a reason to revive Drome Racers and possibly learn more programming. I think I have a deadline for something else around May 19th, but now I can't remember what it was. Fortunately, I'm sick, so I get all the time off I want. (Goin' to the Drome, BRB)
  19. Lego has the licenses for Marvel and DC, two competing franchises. I think that the lack of Star Trek has to do with licensing difficulties and worries that Trek would steal purchases from the Star Wars line. I think the latter is probably unfounded, given that the fans for the two franchises don't really overlap due to the competition...and the majority of Trekkies are girls. (I actually saw a study on that.) Now that might pose a marketing challenge - but it's not too hard, you just have to put a little design work into those Captain Kirk and Spock minifigs. I kinda think Star Trek would fall into the area of 'peaceful space and exploration', too. (I'm a TNG fan.) There's conflict - you can't have a detailed story like Star Trek without it - but all-out phaser combat, things like that aren't as common. Instead you get Picard and Data sneaking onto Romulus, the crew saving a planet from freezing over, and scouting the remains of derelict starships. Heck, there's even that one time where Data thwarts a phaser dogfight with the Romulans by breaking their cloaks. Just my two cents. Or two bricks, as it were.
  20. I dunno, this one doesn't seem as... finished as the others. The armor looks gappy and bare from the front. Maybe if you just used bone pieces for the front it'd look better, I don't know. The harpoon pistol looks sweet, though.
  21. Out comes all versions of Onua playing a Quake tournament. In goes a Mexican restaurant.
  22. Okay, so the picture of matoran Teridax got me thinking: What if the only way to cancel out the Mask of Ultimate Power is a Mask of No Power? A Mask of Nothingness that absorbs and cancels out any power thrown at the user. So Ekimu has to convince Makuta to forge another mask - a complete negative of his earlier mask, so they can erase the power of the MOUP.
  23. Okay, so a couple of questions even though goodness knows I'm too busy to do RPG stuff of any sort: #1: Does anyone remember that old Drome Racing Challenge game? #2: Would people like a remake of it? Like, with a website to keep track of character's cars and stats, number crunching and whatnot. #3: Would that be an RPG or would it belong in Fan-Created Media? Anyway, I hope I'm not posting spam, have a good evening everyone. -Jaga
