  1. Umarak has a chaingun bow. Give me a few minutes whilst I contemplate the awesomeness of this concept.
  2. For some reason I keep coming back to this story for ideas while I'm writing my own. Especially the duel with Ahkmou and the Kaita. I'm not sure why.
  3. Out comes... YOUR FACE. (And by that I mean the face of the next poster.) I kick the... thing... back into the pool from whence it came.
  4. It would've been really cool if they gave one of the troopers one of those blasters with the taser-bayonet-thing they have in the movies. One of those things. Or had a flamethrower trooper. I need to start making my own little army...
  5. Out comes a Bohrok, wheeling a shopping cart full of solid gold Kraata, with Matau's saw blade strapped to the front and Tahu's sword strapped to the back, giving it the benefits of rocket propulsion. In goes a disk launcher and a shotgun.
  6. I hire a very friendly Roporak who likes to lick people. After covering you in saliva, he cacoons you and brings me the mask. My mask.
  7. 1. THEY'D BETTER. 2. Oh man, I'd love a Spybotics reboot so much. Shove one of these inside a Lego case with some motors, and give it the power to communicate with other spybots, use wifi, maybe have a thing where you could control the bot with your phone... the tech has gotten so much better since 2002, I'd love to see them do something with it. Also Drome Racers is pretty high on my list. 3. I don't know. Probably something to do with reviving an old idea, like a pirates theme or a racers theme.
  8. -snip- Alright, I admit I was staring at Hewkii Mahri on my desk who uses all yellow for the joints, so I guess I was kinda biased. But I just don't like looking at Kopaka from the side and seeing his entire arm skeleton exposed. And the black and grey bones make it stand out even more. The G1 parts were somewhat open on the back, but that was only so that the joints could bend. Everything other than that narrow cutout had the mechanical armor design. But with the shells you have to leave the entire back of the joint exposed to get the same kind of motion. That and the torso parts always had something going on in the back. The Inika torsos, the Mata torsos, all of them didn't look skimpy on back armor.
  9. Since the 'Future Set Designs' thread appears to have been lost to history, I guess I'll put this here. I was looking at my solitary 2015 Kopaka, realized how gappy the armor was, and just how much I loathed CCBS for making characters look like that have giant gaping holes in them, especially on the back. And I didn't recall G1 having this problem, but then, G1 had all sorts of sockets in all sorts of colors, so the sockets could be construed to be part of the armor/colorscheme. The G2 Toa, on the other hand, use black and dark grey bones. Fine on Onua, not so fine on everyone else. So if they used all colored bones in the new sets, it just might make their armor look less terrible when posed with the backside towards the viewer. This is just a theory and it might limit the MOC-worthy bits on the sets, but it seems like it would help.
  10. Venture inland and/or explore.
  11. Yeah, I think it was some obscure page in the 'Explore The Ancient City' section, or something like that. When you clicked on the forge's icon, it would say something like "Here, masks of speed, strength, and a thousand other miracles were forged, but the fires have long since fallen cold." So yeah, you're not crazy.
  12. It's Pikachu. Run for your lives. A Bohrok starts playing Sonic the Hedgehog.
  13. I'm sorry. But I'm afraid I can't let you open that gate. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7863sQWxf-xM2RWcUNndmdpZm8/view?usp=sharing Makuta, at his most glorious, and terrifying. No, this isn't the 'I am nothing' scene from MNOG. Let me explain. I'm writing a story based around the fact that apparently, there IS a astronomical something that looks like the planet Spherus Magna. An Earth League rules the known galaxy, constantly expanding. Humans have arrived and started a colony, and also, have encountered the natives of the Solis Magna system: The Agori. These Agori are called 'changelings' and 'Nephilim' by the humans - because they can edit their DNA easily, and so morph into many different shapes. Anyhow, Makuta and Mata Nui are the children of an Agori and a human. Whereas Mata Nui lived his life among the Agori and was raised to be their king, Makuta was captured by Earth League mercenaries and sold into slavery. Dr. Marcus Dixon of Destral Laboratories bought him and freed him, then trained him to be his assistant. He's a genius roboticist, and has a drone army at his disposal. However, Solis Magna was a dying star, and as it started to collapse, it sent insane levels of radiation into Bara Magna's atmosphere. This radiation created a new wave of uncurable cancers, and after a brief struggle, the Earth League quarantined the Solis Magna system. They cut off all communications, set up a network of drones to shoot down any spacecraft that tried to leave, and most importantly, shut down the portal connecting it to the rest of the League. And this is all fine and dandy for Makuta, who hates the League with a burning passion. So when the Toa Inika break into the quantum gate's interior to try and re-open the portal, Makuta is there. And he'll do anything he can to stop them. Makuta's power is Shadow. He can morph his body into shadow, use 'hard shadow' projections - usually in tandem, turning his body into an inky, frictionless, fifty-pound shadow and hurling himself at someone. Or, as in the picture, shoot out dozens of smaller shadow tentacles to confront multiple opponents at once. The red triangles on his lab coat and clothes aren't just for decoration, they're ports he can open and launch these tentacles out from, without taking off his coat or triggering his armor. His changeling DNA gives him an appearance of perpetual youth, a trick he finds useful for gaining people's trust. As much raw power as he can use, he prefers to fight on a more... psychological level. Anyhow, hope you like... whatever this is. Comments and criticism are welcome! -Jaga
  14. Working on a drawing of Makuta, probably will post soon. Maybe I should get a DeviantArt.

  15. I personally think the Tohunga disks are better in terms of appearances, because at least they had more variation than just different numbers. How so? Six different masks versus six different Metru symbols. I think they both have pretty much the same amount of variation.
  16. My least favorite are the Rhotuka. I liked the squid (mainly because of that one animation with the singing squid), Zamors can be used in anything, Kraata introduced us to all those lovely Rahkshi powers (and I suppose by extension, Corpus Rahkshi), but Rhotuka are just... dumb. You have to use that special little axle-thing which doesn't attach to ANYTHING else, and use a special little ripcord, and... it's just too dang hard to use on anything other than a Visorak. Though, granted, the Visorak were kinda cute when they had the cord inside them and it looked like they were sticking their tongues out at something =P For all the hate the Kanoka are getting, nobody's brought up the original McToran disks. At least the Kanoka were better than those, the originals didn't glow in the dark.
  17. I don't think there's ever been actual evidence of a computer in Bionicle, but in theory, a Toa of Magnetism or Lightning could use their power to manipulate electronics. Magnetism especially. There totally should have been a geek Toa of Magnetism who could read hard drives and hack computers with his power. *starts writing new fanfic*
  18. - BiosectorIncreased. Not light speed. Increased speed. I refuse to believe bionicle g1 physics are that soft. Maybe he 'catches' light behind him to go faster, like a turbo. Maybe like a light sail?
  19. A Toa of Gravity and a Toa of Plasma working together could practically create a new star by combining their powers. Heck, that one Bohrok-Kal Kaita would be so overpowered. Gravity, Plasma, and Lightning all stuffed into one being.
  20. Let history mark this as the day the word 'Sparkly' was first used in a topic title.
  21. Do masks that are the Toa's primary and trans colors. Like brown and trans-lime, and black and trans-purple.
  22. I'm not really sure what I think about the gold-silver job. I like how each Toa has a set of gold and silver blended masks, so you can pick which one goes better. With Lewa I would definitely use his stock mask for his linked form, so it matches Uxar's colors more. With Kopaka I'd probably use the gold one, since both Toa and Creature have a lot of gold to them. On this note I'm still waiting for each Toa to have their own specific metallic colors. Anyhow, this version of Gali looks... surprisingly less terrible than I thought. The colors do flow together nicely, and now that I look at it, the asymmetrical armor kindof looks like there's coral growing off of her. I would have preferred something more coherent but I can see where they were going. I still think that spear just has too much going on, and I don't see why they ditched the trident idea for what looks like a bunch of blades on a stick.
