    I did a little digging and it sounds like Google actually is having issues with the installers since yesterday.

     

    You should be able to work around it with the standalone installer Here: <Removed>. Let me know if that doesn't work, though.

    So you can hit F8 at boot and get to the startup menu? Is there a "Startup Repair" option?

    I was coming here to say this. If you can access the System Recovery Options (The mode with "Startup Repair" listed), try running a Startup Repair. That usually (but not always) fixes this issue.

     

    I've got another idea if that doesn't work.

    Yes. Yes it is. He is seriously just such a nice guy, and he was genuinely happy to meet all of the bronies attending the concert.

     

    Forgive me for not knowing, but who is he?

    He's an actor, most famous for playing the omnipotent "Q" in Star Trek, as well as Discord from My Little Pony (who was intentionally written to be like Q because Lauren Faust is a Star Trek fan). You might also know him as Shapiro from Torchwood: Miracle Day, or as the voice of Professor Fitz Quadwrangle in the video game "Quantum Conundrum".

     

    The event was a performance of Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute", in which John did the narration. He actually specifically requested that bronies attend, so all of us in the area made a big meetup (around 40 of us!) out of it. Even though I've never been to an opera before, the performance was really great, and getting to meet him after the show was amazing.

    Actually, no, this time I did light gray intentionally.

     

    I took around 2300 photos and only 100 were of people. :(

    Woah, I only have like 5 pictures of people and a few videos. Are you a creepy stalker or something? =P

    Also, if anyone has any good photos with me, mind sending them to me? Being behind my camera most of the time, only one of my own photos has me in it.

     

    Its weird seeing BZPower members in their human forms, I always imagined they looked like their avatars.

    You could try the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store, but I don't know for sure whether your warranty covers cracked glass.

     

    The glass is definitely replaceable, though. Maybe not by yourself (I think the 4th gen has the glass glued to the LCD), but there are numerous businesses that can do this repair if your warranty can't help you.

    Though I had been using the internet for several years prior, discovering BZPower in July 2001 and eventually creating an account in 2003 was my first real foray into online communities, and I'd be lying if I said my time and experiences here didn't help shape my life. Heck, it's through BZP that I've made several lifelong best friends.

     

    As for other communities I'm a part of, I think it's obvious that more than a few of us are a part of the Brony community. =P
