  1. Just being native to that realm and them stumbling upon it makes sense to me and makes the Zivon seem that much more truly monstrous. Of course, Mutran making it in continuing his rivalry with Chirox would make sense as well. And the presence of Rhotuka, a decidedly Matoran Universe feature, does imply it has its true roots there. I'd really be perfectly fine with either. ~|ET|~
  2. Just so you know... You enabled the ability to make multiple selections. So people could theoretically pick "yes" and "no". That's something that you should be able to still disable though by unchecking the box in the poll settings. And for what it's worth, I did vote no. ~|ET|~
  3. I... I don't know what came over me! D:
  4. I sense a disturbance... Something's not quite right, but I can't put my finger on it... ~|ET|~

(Which somebody literally did two days ago. So yeah, it does happen.)
  6. They'll go somewhere else. It's not actually possible. It wasn't too long ago that Greg did speak up on this and he basically said he saw no reason not to. Edit for clarity: "Not to" keep approving things if he thought they were okay.
  7. *ahem* SECONDED. What about an acorn hammer? ---- I don't think any voting should be done on descriptions. Just... These are the weapon choices, vote on them. If they need descriptions at all, we're writing and decidign too much. ~|ET|~

    I screwed up

r/TISU? But no really that's unfortunate...
  9. I never really minded it being Naho's, but since that's not in the books... The poetic nature of it remaining unknown is really too appealing to want to vote right now. ~|ET|~
  10. No, because nobody should. Do I know you? ~|ET|~

Haven't found an appropriate place for me to reflect on this without intruding on discussion, so why not here? On a personal level, I'm rather confused by my own feelings on it. In four years, my role and position has more or less completely reversed. Kinda weird really... I've never considered myself a proponent for it. I feel like I genuinely was pretty neutral - I never actually liked it all that much, but I generally took a more passive, uninvolved role and just tried to make sure it didn't get ridiculous. (By uninvolved, I mean I never actively participated in things like debates over what should be elements. There's no denying my recognized involvement behind the scenes of all that.) At the same time, I know I undeniably suffered from that elitist mentality of knowing everything with the story... They don't go hand-in-hand, I know, and I never did feel like I owned any part of it, but I'm sure I still rubbed some people the wrong way at some point because of it. Now I don't like it, for sure. It's all about ownership now. It's all about the mentality that "we" have to write or fill in gaps. We have no right to do that. It is simply not "our" story at all and people need to stop treating it like that. For a while, it was because people wanted to keep BIONICLE afloat, so I continued to remain aloof and let that happen. But there's no reason now. And the level of detail being ironed out really is stifling and counterproductive. TLDR: My perspective's changed a lot and I find that weird. But peeps, this ain't "your" story to write for everyone (do it for yourself and have fun with that though!), stop trying to make it so.
  12. A school for... Rahkshi, you say...? Mayhaps I shouldn't be ignoring the RPG forum so much... ~|ET|~
  13. Raava! I see you got bit by the holiday bug too! ~|ET|~
  14. It gets so so so much more uncomfortable, and it is beautiful. I didn't think it could get much worse than the three episodes I had watched earlier, but I just watched episode four... Criiiiiiinge... ~|ET|~
  15. Doesn't feel right voting in this one since I only own a total of three sets from this year, but... Tuma? I guess? ~|ET|~
  16. Yeah, that... That's going way too far... And I didn't want to get into it before, but since it was brought up, I do agree that your weird obsession with Fikou shouldn't be influencing the choices here. In fact, anything requiring a description would probably be giving the creator of it too much control. I liked a simple mace. That was it. ~|ET|~
  17. Everybody go set your reminders for when the sets go on sale! ~|ET|~
  18. Really hard to contain my bias and vote for what I really think is the better set and not just pick the yellow Jetrax. But Takanuva was simply phenomenal. ~|ET|~
  19. Not that I found any of them all that great, but if we must... Yellow Rahkshi for what I sincerely hope are obvious reasons. (Also was at least somewhat unique amongst all the humanoids, so points for that.) ~|ET|~
  20. Blah, no. Do you know what Kamen Rider is? ~|ET|~
  21. This was definitely an interesting year. There were a lot of hits and a lot of misses for me, but no real standout favorite. Playsets: Didn't get any from this year (and only sort of want one now), so that should speak for itself... Small sets: Actually my favorite Matoran we got and getting Rahi in the form of the Hydruka as incentive sets was awesome. Actually very pleased that year with them all. But not my favorites... Barraki: Ehhh, maybe like half. Ehlek looked fantastic, but the issues with lime plastic that year soiled him as a solid set. Mantax and Pridak were also pretty cool. Mahri: Also really only liked half. Hewkii was fantastic, Jaller gets points for his crab buddy, and Hahli Mahri is my favorite Toa of Water set design (that again gets marred by plastic issues that can't really be forgiven). Large sets: Nocturn was an early standout (and I never had any issues with his lime parts). The others that came later in the year not so much... Maxilos wins for size and aesthetics (plus more Rahi pets yay!), but he always seemed somewhat gangly and I never really had fun playing with him. Actually, yeah... Thinking it all out like that makes it kind of obvious to me. Nocturn. He started the year strong for sure (can't remember when exactly I got him, but he was one of my first 2007 sets). ~|ET|~
  22. I commented a few days ago that I was able to buy Gali when the order button was still available. I don't even think I'll actually get her until they're officially available on the TRU's site, so I sorta wasted $15. Thought somebody had brought it up here too... Should've looked a little harder heh. So did you actually get an invoice and charged already? If so, that does mean you should be getting a Gali eventually. I'd call that a win. ~|ET|~
