    There's no reason to think the Velika in that universe was not a Great Being. The timeline is exactly the same until somewhere along the 2006-2007 story. Velika's body was a matoran's so it was sunbject to everything biologically any other matoran was, including becoming a toa. Whether he'd want to, I don't know, but I think he was mostly going along with whatever happened.

    I was starting to wonder why they all had the same voice, but If gali does too, then it's just the Narrator in character, like how the Narrator of Thomas the Tank Engine does all the voices.

    This was a Chinese toy called Final Fighter from around 2004 or so made to resemble Bionicle without using actual lego molds. Some of them are prety original, but many of them are made to look like specific Bionicle toys if you squint. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=154688

    It would give him somewhere to start. It takes a lot less energy to start with something than to create plants out of nothing.

    That is so weird that people would want less canonization now that the story is over. It's the only thing we have left.

    I think the Toa's powers in new Bionicle are less structured than what we're used to. For example, Tahu doesn't have Elemental powers of fire as we have come to understand it. He has fire-themed specific powers. In Lewa's case, he doesnt have ful control of the elemental power of Air like old Lewa, he has specific superpowers related to being in touch with plants and the wind.

I think what happened though, is that the poll was ongoing when BZPower went on Hiatus in 2011. Huna won or was winning (by a lot if I recall), but BZPower shut down before it was officially canonized and the Bionicle Story Squad has been inactive ever since. It was definitely made clear several times that the Kakama belonged to another Toa.

    Mask Of Substance - The user can melt their body to a liquid and pour around at will. Exerienced users can even evapourate into a gas. Mask of Perspective - The user can look at a vantage point such as a ledge on a building or the top of a tree and then see as if their eyes were at that spot. They are blind in their real eyes while the mask is activated.

    They wanted all the Makutas' masks to be "immoral" but for some of them, there's nothing wrong with them, so they went with "because a Makuta has it". Also that Crast "repels nature itself" is flowery nonsense trying to make a cool and very useful mask sound bad. Jutlin and Avsa are pretty terrible and destructive and Felnas is pretty harsh. Mohtrek you shouldn't use because it's a terrible idea, not because there's anything evil about it. Tryna and the Mask of Scavenging might make you uncomfortable, but in an emergency, you might not have a choice. There is nothing wrong at all with Shelek or especially Crast. Regardless, they are all called immoral because the Makuta wear them (except Tryna because it's yucky) Yet, the mask of Mutation, which forcibly changes a person's biology against their will, is okay because Miserix, who is and always has been a colossal dumpsack didn't technically rebel against Mata Nui. And technically righteous is the best kind of righteous.

    That Goblin hat. If it was purple, They could do a proper Green Goblin, the way he looks in the video game. This is promising.

    oh yeah. That's Stuart Sayger. It's definitely a kiril from one angle, but totally different from the side. He was like that. I guess we should default to that that matoran would canonically have a kiril, but I still like the other mask as an unknown design.

    Finding Vakama's mask and staff is plenty canon. It happened in Tales of the Tohunga, which, although it was a video game, is canon in broad strokes at least.

    The Ta Matoran that Hahli saved was from Mahri Nui. He would have the same build as Defilak and Dekar, which you can kind of see in the comic panel (less a little artistic license) I always took that good guy to be Dezalk without a mask. the 08 good guy would be a good inspiration for an av matoran, but I'd rebuild him to match the canon ones. As is, he'd make a good karzahni matoran. Nidhiki is much more likey to be the metru build. quick good guy red and quick good guy white would be good karzahni/voya nui matoran So would good guy 07, but maybe he's a rebuild av-matoran, since he has a weird coour scheme.

    The developers talked about it at NYCC. they said that wheras hero factory had a lot of smoothe panels, bionicle's signaure aesthetic was tiny details, especially pistons. But that is awesome.

    The matoran had bohro in their legends for years. They and the turaga must have put that stuff up long ago around the island where the found evidence of the bohrok.
