  1. Yeah, Than, I intend to do just that. Also, with FireFox, you can drag images around, so if I wanted to check a signature, I could just hover an 800x300 banner above it and check.

=[ I was just about to recommend that to you as a proud Firefox user...but yeah Firefox is amazing.

  2. The paradox of technology in fantasy was a huge part of what first drew me in, and I share ToM's nostalgia for the early years (who doesn't?). But another thing that pulled me in was the novelty - the way the idea seemed so new, the world seemed so new; how new developments just kept popping out, always changing the Bionicleverse.

I think there's value in that as well, the way bits and pieces of the Bionicleverse fall together as we get introduced to its nature little by little. In retrospect, looking back at Bionicle as a whole, it's easy to see it as Bionicle losing its romance, its flair, its fantastical nature. But back when we were being introduced to Metru Nui, to Voya Nui, to Mahri Nui, back when things were still changing, even if the universe was slowly losing its mystery as a result, there was still a sense of novelty about that, and I think that's also part of what made Bionicle so successful.

  3. If anything the best thing about Avatar was its marketing. I'd love to have the same people who marketed the movie on my team if I were a filmmaker.

Other than that Up is the best hands down IMO. Simply for being able to address the 'dealing with death' theme spot on, through visuals and music, puts it up there. And they somehow retained the family friendliness and all-ages appeal despite the nature of some of the themes they addressed.

Someone also mentioned District 9, that's a close second on my list. Loved the documentary style of the first half, I'd never seen that before; if anyone can recommend to me any other movies that use such a style please do. From what I understand they also did the sound differently than other movies, made it so it sounded more realistic (volume of what people said was consistent with their distance from the camera) -- props on that point.

Unfortunately I haven't seen Inglourious or Blind Side, have to do that soon.

  4. Yes, I admit I was much like Asdfg in the early days, I did want the orange and Huna next to my name and such.

Who doesn't? We're all enticed by fame and status to some degree.

And I'll have to respectfully disagree with you there EW (surprise! =O). It doesn't matter whether they're only getting PMship for the proto boost, whether or not they were selfish or selfless their actions still resulted in helping out BZPower by providing them with money. The consequences count as much as the intentions do, and I think that's the beauty of this proto system. Some people will be rewarded with a boost, some people will help BZP out of a greedy desire for a boost, but the ultimate result is that BZPower gets help and support either way.

  5. It's okay LK, we don't mind. You've always been busy ever since I first knew about you on BZP so it's sort of part of who you are in my mind now. I was actually surprised that Busy wasn't your middle name when we became FB buddies...

Anyway, here's something EW used to describe me a while back. I think this fits you better.

    Sorry!
