Don't wish for public school. In public school, we kids have the same problems. I don't think it's right for your parents to place the blame on your drawing, or your social life. I'm somewhat antisocial as well, but that's because all of my former friends have rebuked me. And teenagers these days are increasingly hard to count as friends, what with all the drugs and... other problems. And what you do is more than just drawing. You make art, and it's something to be admired. I'm not saying it isn't your fault, but your parents shouldn't deny you your interests, and you don't need to go so hard on yourself.

I sort of hated The Batman as well. Mind you, I liked it to start, but eventually two things happened: 1) The show started becoming really uninspired, with a new bad guy in pretty much every episode. 2) I stopped watching KidsWB altogether. They never keep a good lineup. Just wondering- how do you like the Joker in the Lego Batman sets?

... er... I mean news. First of all- my brother wanted me to advertise his Short Stories Contest entry on this blog. HERE it is. It's based on the song Endless Night from the play The Lion King. So... please post on it. It would make him happy. Secondly, I'm not digging this whole blog thing. So anyone who follows this blog (as if anyone does ), let it be said that I am not going to be making any new entries for a while. I won't be gone forever, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. So, if anyone DOES follow this blog, post here, so I'll know who to watch out for come the time I start again.

Well, minifigs have no VISIBLE noses. Between their eyes and their mouth is a thin yellow membrane that lets oxygen in but keeps other materials out. That is why no matter how long you hold a minifig underwater, THEY WILL NOT DROWN. They are able to breathe the dissolved oxygen in the water. Thank you for attending this session on minifig respiration.

I sort of agree. Hewkii was sort of nice, because he contained two colors that were severely underused (Yellow-Orange and Iron Grey), and I have been waiting for more continuity in brown sets (there are now three colors of brown, plus yellow-orange), but the yellow orange does not work for Carapar. Sentrakh worked well with yellow-orange as a main color, but otherwise brown works better for villains. It would probably even be better if brown was a secondary color on him, but now he looks almost like Keetongu, and Keetongu looks like a good guy. Carapar is still my favorite Barraki, but I would have liked him better in Avak brown.

I agree. If all you have to say is something that has already been said, and aren't going to go into more detail than that, I don't think it's worth posting. Except in AC or BBC contest polls, where you can just post who you voted for, and even there I try to post my reasons for voting their art/MOC.

ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5? That's the program my brother uses! I haven't downloaded it to my laptop yet. Happy 16th Birthday!

To Trick Or Treat, Or Not To Trick Or Treat?

I'm sure I'll be going. I'm 15, but I go because 1) I have to accompany my little brother, while my parents stay at home to distribute candy to other kids. 2) Who doesn't love dressing up and getting free candy? -
Whoa. I love Pohatu as much as the next guy, but this is the longest blog entry/post that I have ever seen. I didn't even know entries this big were allowed.

How 'bout an MOC of him? Seriously, that could make a great last-minute gift.

Mine is a dark green one in MY bathroom that isn't damp. Beat that!

RREEAAD THHEMM.... I'm serious. It's a great series, and the books only got better as the story went on. They're full of dark humor and other awesomeness. Seriously, you got to see Daniel Handler in person. You're so lucky.

For my past two orthodontist appointments, they've scheduled my braces to come out, but the orthodontist decided against it each time. Braces are lame. At least I can make the bands match my bionicle sets. This week they're Axonn colored.

Except that they didn't have video cameras back then. Unless it was the Great Eagle Spirit taping it.

Why do you wub October? A week after Halloween is November. You should wub November. Otherwise, November could get sad and cry. Off topic: Remember the old days when you had to use an apostrophe when spelling Halloween?

Not the firm kind of hard, as it's actually pretty pliable before you bake it. No, I mean hard to use, especially for making masks. My first sculpey mask turned out good. (I'll post pictures if I ever stop being lazy ) But that had layers, not ridges like my second one has. Or LIPS. If Aanchir designs me another mask that's this hard to make, I'll strangle him. Anyway, here's my process for making masks. Step 1: Take one Toa Inika head. Step 2: Coat it in some kind of lubricant. (I used Armor-All and baby powder for my first mask, and I am using WD40 for my second.) Step 3: Make a thin flat sheet of SculpeyIII using a pasta maker (If you own one. If not, you'll have to try something else.) Step 4: Shape the thin sheet of SculpeyIII onto the Toa Inika head. Do this slowly and carefully to form it cleanly to the head. Cut the excess off with a paring knife. Step 5: Reflatten the remaining sculpey, and use it in layers to add details and texture. Cut eyeholes and/or a mouth with the paring knife. Step 6: This is the hard part. Carefully peel your mask off of the head. If it loses its shape, recoat the head in lubricant and reform the mask onto the head. If it is completely destroyed, start over. If it comes off perfectly on the first try, you have talent. Step 7: With the completed mask off the head, place the mask on a paper lunch bag to put in the oven. Use the directions on the sculpey package to bake your mask. Step 8: Well done! Wait for your completed mask to cool. Don't worry if it didn't turn out perfectly, it's a refined process that takes skill and effort to master. And that ends our discussion on Sculpey masks. I can't wait to see yours!
