  1. You know you've done a good job when Onua looks more like a strong, bulked up Toa of Earth rather than a grotesque purple-and-black version of the Hulk. I think you captured the essence behind his design and streamlined it a lot. Good job!
  2. lol they misspelled "paralyzed" as well, but who cares, really I have to say this new art style is growing on me. It's simple and very versatile. Also Tahu's mask here looks better than the actual one.
  3. Good to know! At least now I know if I ever visit or move to Russia I won't be left wanting for Bionicle.

    Free Steam Key

Hey y'all, it's Halloween and I'm feeling generous so instead of handing out free virtual candy (does such a thing exist?) I'm handing out a free steam key for the game FTL. If you're one of the few people who doesn't already own it, go ahead and comment on this post saying you want the game and... why you want it, I guess? Idk I'm bad at doing giveaways. I'll probably do a raffle thing and pick a random person, so it doesn't really matter what you say. So yeah, a no-spiderwebs-attached giveaway of a pretty awesome game. No tricks, that's all there is to it. Happy Halloween!

    Back!

So that was a fun (and tiring) trip. Everything hurts and I just want to lie down on my bed and drift off. But I still have the weekend so I could go somewhere else (but probably not because comfy bed + homework + shower + heating = staying inside). I think the highlight was when I got to do a tour thing where I got to drive around Tuscany in an old Fiat 500. It was my first time driving on the wrong right side of the road so that took some getting used to, but I managed without any civilian casualties. Most of the drive was either up- or down-hill so we didn't really have a chance to go past second gear but it was fun nonetheless. It was refreshing and fun driving a car with no electronic assists and also the engine was at the back (!) so it was very loud but oddly peaceful. The petrol/gasoline/whateveryoucallit fumes may have helped a bit. I've always wanted to drive an old-ish car, and the Fiat 500 (the new one) is basically my dream car under the category of "Cars I Will Realistically Be Able to Afford Someday", so it was a pretty satisfying tour. (If any of you are planning to visit Florence, I'd recommend looking into these tours.)
  6. The Mask of Creation is IMO the best looking mask we've had in all of Bionicle. So that one's my fav. Followed by the Protector masks, kind of like mini-MoCs. Gali's and Kopaka's are next. Pohatu and Onua's masks are inoffensive, I don't mind them. Tahu's mask is not great, but it fits with his overall build. Lewa's mask is just plain ugly omg what were they thinking
  7. I remember when it came out and telling myself that I'll probably never get to watch it. Well, I saw it a couple of weeks ago. Loved the animation style, but everything else was pretty meh (Click was cute). So much of nothingness going on on the screen. The story was I guess not meant for my age group then or now, so it can be forgiven. That said, it was a nice nostalgia trip and I could think of worse ways to spend that amount of time.
  8. Toa Metru head. It was similar enough to the classic Mata head (which is a close second) but with improved function. The Piraka heads would be third, for me. The worst of the bunch would be the Inika heads because they're weren't even heads, really.
  9. 01: Tahu or Lewa, even though I don't own either. Of the ones I own, Pohatu because that's the only one. 02: The Bohrok obvs, and I'm partial to the Nuhvok here because of the lime green. 03: Takutanuva. But I liked Ussanui + Takanuva better than Makuta, but not by much. The Rahkshi were pretty cool too, with their bendy knees and boots. 04: Lhikan and Kikanalo, an unfulfilled dream. Of the sets I own, Nokama also because I think that's the only one of that year, too. I loved the Toa Metru builds (bendy arms!) and the detail and Nokama's mask was cool. 05: The Visorak, simply for being non-humanoid. I liked the green one the most (Keelerak?). Though I would have loved to own Sidorak. 06: The best year of all, IMO. If combiners count, than Kardas + Vezon. If not, then Vezon and Fenrakk simply for being Vezon and Fenrakk. Also cape 07: Hm.. I remember really loving the creativity behind the Barraki builds (Ehlek was my favorite) but I think overall I liked Hydraxon the best. 08: OMG Axalara hands down. Followed by Jetrax and Rockoh. How I dream of a combiner of all three. 09-10: Honestly I didn't really care much from this point on, but I would have liked that big four legged red machine thing that also showed up in the movie. Also the Skrall, because of the shield.

    Vacation!

Well, I'm off from classes for the whole week (fall break whooo), so like precisely everyone else, I'm gonna go explore Europe. I'm off to Florence first and hopefully a bunch of other places. I'll be gone till Friday if everything goes according to plan. Needless to say internet will be spotty so I probably won't be online much. Here's hoping I don't get killed or worse, mugged. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone, m'kay?

    Cheese Update

I'm trying to do this thing where I buy two cheeses and try them together and see which one is better. It's a tournament style thing; the best cheese advances to the next round. I paired gouda with eidam/edam and eidam won out. It's a great way to put on a few extra pounds lol but it feels so goood

    POBZPC!

Congrats! Look at that fancy Huna. It matches your avatar!
  13. Honestly, way more excited for the sets than story. Just the feeling of buying a set and being able to build it holds way more appeal for me than the story at this point in time. I don't think I have the time, energy or enthusiasm to keep up with the story. I'll follow it, but it'll probably be the bare minimum required to make sense of things.
  14. My dad bought me Pohatu Mata, and for the next couple of years I was just buying sets without really knowing what the story behind them was. A couple of years after that I started getting into the story. I guess it was probably the lack of computer that caused the delay, I would have started searching for Bionicle info on the internet way sooner if that wasn't the case.
  15. I really like it! It reminds me of one of the pet peeves from that concert bonesiii held so many years ago. Are the eyes from one of the Mixels sets?
  16. Eh, don't worry too much about it. Thanks for replying, though. I'll go ahead and close this like you asked. Topic closed.
  17. You might wanna head on over to the official topic. You might find people there who share some of your opinions on these things. I for one agree that Lewa's mask is ugly as sin. Anyhow, topic closing in 3... 2... 1...

    New iTunes

@Rez: Ya, I'm just glad that stupid sidebar is mostly gone. So much easier to navigate and also easier on the eyes. @Vorahk: Doesn't look like it, but it definitely feels more streamlined if that helps.

    New iTunes

WHAT Two steps forward, one step back I guess. Until then I'm just gonna keep "Play Next"ing.
  20. Honestly, me neither. It was a borderline topic, and it started out relatively ok, but now it's just devolving into a free-for-all. Since there's really nothing concrete here to say and no proof offered in any of the comments, and coincidence topics are generally frowned upon, I'm gonna go ahead and close this (I totally called that, btw).

    New iTunes

So, iTunes has received yet another update. I have to say it's a huge improvement on the old UI; I actually kinda like it. It's way cleaner and compact. Now if only I can get it to stay open for more than 5 minutes without crashing...
  22. Thanks! You guys can continue discussion there. Topic:
  23. Hm, ya I think that topic is broad enough to cover most Bionicle video game needs. Hold A to run on over there. Topic closed
