  1. Hm ok. Also do you add onions to everything? Because one time I had an omelet without onions and then I had one with onions and the difference in taste was ridiculous.
  2. The closest I've come to having rice/meat/veggies not taste like rice/meat/veggies is drowning it in Worcestershire (?) sauce and soy sauce etc. and even that didn't make much of a difference. So you guys are saying dry/ground spices are better when it comes to seasoning? I'll give it a shot.
  3. Please help me I don't know how.
  4. If a big blue tub of bricks counts, then that. If not, then the yellow slizer, followed shortly by Pohatu.
  5. I really like that they're differentiating the sets, if only so that I actually have a reason to buy all of them. Earlier, with the Metru or Hordika, my reaction pretty much was that I already have one of these, the others are the same just in a different colour. So there wasn't much incentive to seek them out. I like the points made above that the only time having all the sets look alike was when they were supposed to pretty much be clones of each other. I never really though of it that way.
  6. Obviously it depends on the movie or TV show I'm watching, but I'm gonna say for practical purposes I prefer TV shows. I don't always have a 2-hour continuous block of time where I can sit through a whole movie, but 30-40 minutes is completely doable. Plus, you get time for the story to sink in and form your own theories and thoughts about the show, whereas at least for me, in movies you have to constantly be paying attention so as to not miss anything. Also a connection with the characters- much easier in TV shows simply because you spend so much more time with them. In movies, I often need to watch them multiple times to get the same level of attachment.

I was hoping to buy the purple winged one today but it was sold out at the store.
  8. I mean I can theoretically see it happening; a bunch of people having different challenges every week each with different themes/restrictions. Seems fun. But I think they have to be careful in how they decide to go about the actual building and presentation. If they have contestants building sculptures and the like, it might get a little boring even after editing because they're not gonna be frantically running around doing things all the time- they're gonna sit there and attach one brick to another. With shows like Masterchef there's always some action going on all the time, someone's always doing something. In the end I think it's a bit of a stretch having a Lego reality competition show. People will always be more interested in the end product and not necessarily the process (at least when it comes to MOCs and such). Worst case, though, it goes on for one season and gets cancelled.
  9. Just got the Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit soundtrack by Patrick Doyle. I must say I'm enjoying the military/spy-thriller-esque tone that's going on, like the Salt movie soundtrack and also Skyfall
  10. I chose the Protector of Jungle simply coz I am digging the trans blue-green flame-lightning weapon thing. But I also agree with others in that the Protector of Earth has the best colour scheme. Also can I just say I really like how they all have tiny variations between them despite being fairly small sets (faces/masks aside).
  11. I technically speak "British English", but I still say Bee-Zee simply because it rolls off the tongue better.
  12. That sounds a lot like us, guys! Also, I didn't know Bionicle was keeping Lego afloat in its early years (Bionicle's, that is). Good to know it was doing so well. Not so good that Lego was reporting losses, of course.
  13. Only if it's relevant to the app. I wrote my additional essay for my university about LEGO or something and well, I got in. Of course that's not the only thing that they based their decision on but it didn't hurt. But yeah my advice would be not to go mentioning it around casually unless it's like a super serious hobby and you've sent MOCs to conventions and stuff.
  14. The alternative is a giant blue alien with hair-tail things, or a giant piece of paper floating in the wind.
  15. I'm afraid if I take mine out just moving the joints even a little bit is gonna make them all crack (they're probably all super caked with dust). Any way around that? Dunk them in water?
  16. Well, then you've come to the right place! I'm bored now and probably going to be bored for the foreseeable future until I start panicking and start studying for midterms or whatever, so go ahead and request a banner or avatar that you'd like. This is also me reminiscing about the existence and now non-existence of Artwork II: Shops and Kits. If you're not here for an avatar, uh... how great was that episode of SNL?
  17. He's really just shades of grey and yellow with bits of green thrown in, so it shouldn't matter that much. But personally I like the new green better. It's closer to the yellow end of the spectrum than Mata green, and is pretty much my favorite shade of green.
  18. denial, boredom, anticipation...
  19. The Legend Reborn. I just happened upon it while browsing Netflix and I was like, why not? I loved the animation style, there was a lot of attention to detail on that front, but everything else was just meh.
  20. I'm indifferent about his books, mostly because I didn't have very high expectations of books about a toy line. But the ones I've read were enjoyable enough. I wasn't sure about his involvement in the new story, but now that we know for sure there's a new time I'm excited to see what they have planned. It didn't really make much difference to me if Greg is involved or not.
  21. All of us in a nutshell, I suppose. exactly but for some reason im drawn to the new lewa. I like the new Lewa mostly coz he's green. I do have a problem with his mask though, the original Miru was so amazing and suited him so well, and this one just seems like a generic Hero Factory one or something. D:
  22. Hi willb, I'm gonna go ahead and redirect you to these similar topics where you can talk about the new sets- the official one, which set you want to buy first and which ones you like the best. I'm gonna go ahead and close this. You're bound to find plenty of people to discuss your points with in those topics.
  23. Hi, please don't post in topics that have been dead for 60 days or more. If you want, you can go ahead and start your own, or maybe post in this simliar-enough topic. Topic closed
  24. It's already happening. We've had some 30-40 new members in the last couple of days.
