  1. So fleebnorks are a Hitchhiker's thing? I thought some AFOL made that up. Funny comic there. Love the blood. Sorry to hear about the polls. -CF
  2. wow, sounds like some work, but fun (because it is, after all, Lego) Thanks for all that news -CF
  3. Sounds like it was an awesome Anime Con! How was the art alley and merch place? (I'm assuming they had them) You sure did meet a lot of people. Looks amazing. I might do a cosplay sometime.... -CF
  4. I still need to see that movie, but from what I know and the stuff you posted here, I'd say that's a pretty good idea. KUTGW -CF
  5. Yes, the free goodies were a nice surprise. A little bit of yourself, thank you! (and the mardi gras coin was fun too, because I've heard of those. I'll have to see what I can do with the beads. I hadn't realized you had brought them to decorate the table) -CF
  6. First thanks to Bundalings the Bunny, Skiz the Crazy Squirrel, and Electric Turahk for the blog suggestions. Second off, ET, I hope you have an excellent trip to Disney World. I hope you meet a BZPer or five, get some great Lego, and have a blast at that "Most Magical Place on Earth" (or whatever) In fact, I've been to that Lego store myself, when I went to Disney World 9 years ago. On another note, don't give coffee to squirrels, because they are hyper enough without it, and they run around because they want to mate, so making them run around more could be bad on the squirrel population because none of them will settle down. Now, feeding coffee addicted squirrels to llamas might actually be pretty funny. Finally, a note on cheese. Cheese is very random, and you must be careful. You could walk into any topic at all, any one, and somebody has mentioned cheese. Watch out. Thank you (I'll keep that open for more suggestions. That was fun) -CF

    Blogged

I was going to blog about something really good and then I forgot. Any suggestions on what to blog next? (seriously, that sounds fun) -CF
  8. awesome. I might have the chance to do the same, except I excell in Bionicle and, well, y'know how AFOLs are... Anyway, contrats, looks great, good job at being an inspiration to everyone who comes in. (Ironically, I realized that most (?) of the pieces for it came from that store!) -CF
  9. Good. I was worried they had gotten lost somewhere and I lost a third of my MOCing pieces. Thanx 8 USB ports? wow. -CF
  10. True. Plus I already have an LED mag-lite addition, a mini-mag (which seems to be broken. Battery leaked and isn't coming out), a small keychain LED, and a LED head lamp. (yeah, I have a lot of LEDs. I didn't bring spare batteries to summer camp!) thanks for the advice -CF

    Free?

So once people get into about 11th grade, you might start getting college info brochures in the mail. (All readers under 17 beware) Anyway, I got one from the marines. Usually I'd just throw it out, but in this one they said mail back a section so they can mail me an info packet and stuff. Normally, I'd just ignore it (I'm not interested in army life), but they said if I mail it back I get a free mini/micro (something small) Mag-lite. This caught my eye. the Mag flashlights are always good: depentable, water resistant, light, cool. So, the question is: 1) Do I mail back just to get the Mag-lite (with the risk of getting bugged with lots of more brochures and stuff from the marines) 2) Since I'm not going to do anything with anything they send me except the Mag-lite, is it wrong to mail back? (Because it gives false hope to them, and in a sense I'm lying because I have no interest in whatever info they send me) Yeah, what do I do? -CF
  12. no, we couldn't bring any moonbases because we wern't promised enough tables to do that. We had the monorail, which was big, but that moreso 1)wraped around thing 2)is elevated, so it takes up little space -CF
  13. So today WAMALUG (Washington Metro Area Lego User's Group) had an event. We were invited to the National Air And Space Museum for their Explore the Universe Day, in which we were front and center with a table full of Space (and plane) MOCs. I was up 'til midnight on Friday and building for another hour Saturday morning, MOCing space ships and getting my stuff ready. Some of it was OK, but some of it was better. I even saw a lot of people take pix of one MOC in particular (I made it quickly in the morning) which I thought was really good. I'll have pix later, at least from WAMALUG's brickshelf. Anyway, Steven, a Lego Worker/Builder, brought some Mars Mission sets, as well as a new Star Wars (a big red one from the beginning of Ep. 1). The older adult fans brought a space monorail. There were some really good MOCs there, and some of the Discovery Channel line of NASA sets. I also brought the V-Wing, Grievous's Wheel Bike, and the 1997 Roboforce Robo Raider. (And displayed Mini X-wing chased by Tie Advanced (and I added shooting lasers on)) But was was really cool was meeting BZPower Member Ouch. He's a great guy, and better yet we are both avid MOCers, so we had lots to talk about. Well, that was my Saturday. -CF

    My Order Came!

what'd you use? LINK TO SITE WITH FORUMS REMOVED -B6? -CF PS, those grey egg shaped technic pieces rock! (If only they weren't oval...) and Throwbot feet are always nice.
  15. yeah, the ussals are really good. (But I voted for you) As far as finding your MOC in the polls, I've had that problem too. They should just have the order the same as the entrant's order, so all you have to do is figure out what letter you are after dividing your entry number by 10. (or something like that) -CF
  16. #42 ? That's the only Hitchiker's reference I know. (But I really should pic up the book...) -CF PS, I give up
  17. Well, congrats on getting a well thought-out message. It's definetly affected my school, many students have siblings/friends down there (luckily none shot). (VT is about 2 hours from my home) -CF
  18. The hair may look spiffy, but it's wierd. Or, different. (But guess not everybody has met you) Ha! You're not wearing a hat! Anyway, great cosplay, and looks like you're having fun. -CF
  19. You should defenistrate the server. -CF
  20. I had about 15 when they first came out. I guess I used them. I had a couple lying around so I took them to Scout Camp and used them at the trading post. The guy at the counter was ticked, especially since he didn't know where in the register to put it! -CF
  21. I noticed that too. Looks like you got to it first. Anyway, I hope this pain results in a fantastic award at the cosplay masquarade or whatever you'll do with it this weekend. -CF
  22. Hey guys, I had a bunch of unseen MOCs I wanted to get out into the world, so I postes a topic here and I would really appreciate feedback on all or just one MOC. But I really want specifics.... Thanks! Please continue my 4th year BZP anniversary celebration here -CF
