  1. This is incredibly scary! I might get started on one myself
  2. Anyone playing Yu-Gi-Oh Millenium Duels for PS3? Figured I'd take a swing at you guys if noone else
  3. The torso construction is great but I think the upper legs could have looked better. They're way too skinny atm and don't match the bulkiness on the rest of him. Awesome weapon btw!!
  4. Germany putting its foot down...and literally crushing the entirety of Brazil!!! What a game, man!!!

  5. First day of Ramadan draws to a close. As we sit sipping the last mouthfuls of water, knowing that they will hopefully keep us soldiering on until it's sunset again, let us remember the agony of those who are in a perpetual state of fasting due to having nothing. Ramadan Kareem everyone :)

  6. 5 got my vote here. So incredible, especially the chest area and the closing mechanism for the torso.
  7. Had to null mine here. No particular favorite in this topic, with some entries really standing out but ending up not getting my vote because of my ridiculously high standards.
  8. 5 and 8 are my personal favorites, but I think that 8 is my overall favorite entry so far. Namely because of the outstanding resemblance it has to an actual Gundam. Plus, the head there is about as close as I've seen anyone get to the Gundam look. Best luck to everyone in the contest. Wish I could enter, but shipping a MOC from Saudi would have been practically infeasible on all measures.
  9. Just bought an unopened Thornatus V9 for £19 off ebay. Over the moon right now!!

  10. On a completely (mostly) unrelated note, anyone here going to Download Festival 2014? I won't be able to make it there on the 13th because I have a final exam that same day. I am tormented. Genuinely disappointed. But oh well. A bunch of my friends are going on the Saturday but I wouldn't want to go and not attend some of my favorite acts.
  11. Listened to the song Cusp of Eternity half an hour ago or so, and I thought it was quite something. Distinctively different, but still manages to capture the great talents that the group has to offer.
  12. Sitting Engineering Mechanics tomorrow....with any luck I'll be on my way to build real-life MECHS anytime soon XD

  13. This is great, it really is. But the beast looks rather unfinished, and I'm not sure about his containing all the different colors of Bionicle XD You'd typically limit color usage to about a maximum of 4 or 5 colors, depending on where you situate them. I bet that with Beast, you can build the skeleton entirely out of dark and light grey, black, and metru red, and then you would maybe use some white on his back and head, just to try and keep things a bit more consistent. And with respect to his head, it's quite cool, but I would also try to make it a tad more "smooth" and streamlined. Overall, good job, but you should probably invest in a couple well-structured Bricklink orders or bulk piece purchases.
  14. That awesome moment when you submit a 30% lab report 3 minutes before it's due. LOL! Talk about living on the edge XD

  15. The thing I loved the most about Exo-Force mechs was that they managed to squeeze a superior level of detail into their designs in general, and one could attempt to emulate certain features of their designs in his/her own way only to end up with something almost completely different. For example, you'd preserve the torso construction and proportions, and run wild with all the cool additions, such as weapons and extra gimmicks. However, I was always disappointed with their sizes, and felt the desire to re-make the ones I got into something bigger. Also, I wasn't too crazy about the combiners, because they could not employ their resources as effectively as I would've liked. That all being said, Exo-Force continues to be the BEST mech line Lego has ever released. It's such a shame it ended.
  16. Had music on shuffle, and The Bleeding Baroness by Candlemass came on. And I was never the same again.
  17. Gibt es hier jemand von Deutschland? Wenn Sie moechten mit einem Fremder sprechen, bitte zu mir schreiben :D

  18. Or maybe he doesn't want to do the same thing with two different bands. If I remember correctly, he is the lead vocalist for Bloodbath, isn't he? I presume he wants to do both things, just not for the same band anymore. While I am kind of disappointed that his death voice will not persist through this album, I am quite excited about it. My younger brother and I were just talking about this over Skype. He's kinda the one who told me about it in the first place. Edit: just found out he left Bloodbath in 2012. What?! Lol
  19. Let's just hope their new album (Opeth) is worth the wait XD Have been waiting to get back into them for a while.
  20. Kinda bummed for all of you guys in NA. I'm so glad I live in England now Cuz then I can get my hands on some of them, as I had expressed my vast interest in them a while back Then again... I might be going somewhere else this summer, so I wonder how this might affect my ability to buy them :/
  21. I must say, that is an excellent MOC by all standards, though somewhat "odd" in some areas. I particularly like the torso construction, but don't feel as attracted to the legs as I do the upper body area. Btw, how/with what did you take the pics? And how did you get the black-on-black to show so vividly? I kinda need the tips for a MOC I'm photographing soon. Thanks!
  22. Can I give some ideas myself? An LDD-based contest (not necessarily LDD though) COMBINE AND CONQUER! Build a combiner using pieces from up to three sets (of the same line, e.g Ninjago, Exo-Force, Agents, etc). GO BIG OR GO HOME! Build something big in LDD using 1000 pieces or more (up to a certain piece limit). RESURRECT A LONG-GONE LEGO LINE! Visualize one of the discontinued lines and produce a MOC that would be a reasonable set out of that line. These are just some of the thoughts that have crossed my mind before.
  23. It would appear that the constraction sets haven't been cancelled. They're available to pre-order on Amazon UK, so they probably are a thing now. Can't wait to get my hands on them, all of them!!
  24. The new buildable figures honestly look spectacular! The other sets are cool too, but those ones particularly got my attention since I'm a Bio-MOCer at heart.
