  1. IC: Tube - Gym Maze Tube nodded and quickly slipped the glove back on their hand. "I will do my best for Master!" IC: Tear - Gym Maze With that out of the way, it was time for them to determine their strategy. Tear looked to Floor. "I don't trust our VIP to stay safe if we move too far. We should set up within one of those structures with Door and Crate inside and the two of us watching outside, perhaps from the roof." IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze Everything was going well... until Garrotte caught voices coming from nearby. She skid to a stop and pressed up against a building, gesturing for the others to do the same. "...you're clearly the bloodthirstiest out of all of us! And how on earth are you going to lure anyone here?" She looked to Vlad uncertainly as she pulled out a few capsules of poison.
  2. In case anyone had lost track of the teams as of now (click here if you don't know what team you're on): VIP Strategy Location__________________ Tube's Team - (Offensive) Top of midsized building Diode's Team - (Defensive) En route to "Coliseum" Crate's Team - (Defensive) Arguing at spawn Vyper's Team - (Defensive) Moving inside Sim's Team - (Defensive) Planning at spawn Aza's Team - (Defensive) In an open street Sliver's Team - (Offensive) Rooftop, listening near Aza Waiata's Team - (Offensive) Protecting VIP at spawn Kri's Team - (Offensive) Arguing at spawn Misery's Team - (Defensive) Mute/Exigent scouting, Thud protecting VIP Way I see it, Sliver and Tube's teams have the potential to notice each other, and Misery and Diode are opening themselves up with their movement. Plus of course there's Aza shouting in the streets. So let's see if we can't get something going!
  3. IC: Hoto - Village of Kaam "So... what do we do now. Are you... going to leave?" IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam Fang found himself drifting to the back of the group again. Of course, now he was telling himself he had to keep an eye on everyone in the company of these murderers. IC: Tube - Gym Maze Tube promptly pulled off the glove and held it out. "Master would shoot better than me. Master is better at everything!" IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze Garrotte briefly gave a start when she looked over her shoulder to see a small group chasing her. But then she recognized Vlad and Diode. Now reassured that her group was behind her, she kept up the pace toward the tallest tower. IC: Reda - Gym Maze She couldn't help herself. She burst out laughing. But as she began to settle, she looked at Waiata quite seriously. "Well, can you fit?"
  4. IC: Hoto - Village of Kaam Hoto listened carefully to the sound, noting a distinct solidity that was different from the usual. "Do... you want me to go in there now?" IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam Fang eyed the recently appeared Rahkshi warily. He didn't like this. They knew this land, the Rebellion did not. That was evident by how they managed to appear and disappear without even alerting Era. And he still couldn't be sure of their intentions. But looking to the others, who were weary and battered after the encounter with the Toa... could they afford to turn them down? Half of them hadn't slept. They had barely eaten. And they could use a safe place to patch up their wounds. Well, safer than here. Besides, it would be what Kat wanted. He nodded to Jayar signalling his agreement. IC: Tube - Gym Maze Tube set down roughly beside their Master and examined Thornpierce. "Umm... I sara... sered... sebadiptusly found it for you!" IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze Garrotte nodded. "So we should take it first. There is no time to waste." And with that, she's already running toward the center. IC: Reda - Gym Maze Reda glanced at their muscle. "I'm listening."
  5. IC: Tube - Gym Maze Without another thought, Tube hopped up into flight mode beside their Master. IC: Tear - Gym Maze He smirked. "I wouldn't have it any other way." IC: Reda - Gym Maze "Slif," she repeated as she walked. "I hope you can make good on that."
  6. IC: Tube - Gym Maze Tube perked up. "I will keep myself safe for you Master!" IC: Garrotte - Gym Maze Garrotte was silent for a moment while she thought the options over. "All we need to do to win is keep Diode safe. We should keep her as safe as possible. My poison has been useful in guarding areas before..." IC: Tear - Gym Maze Tear nodded to Floor. "We will need to play cautiously, since Icarax has elected to make our most important member our least useful. Door, watch him, make sure he doesn't wander too far, and do try to keep him alive." IC: Reda - Gym Maze Reda folded her arms and raised an eyeplate toward Pyle and Slif, waiting for them to follow. "I don't think you introduced yourself, big guy," she added toward Slif.
  7. IC: Tube - Gym "Oh..." Suddenly they didn't seem so excited. "But I want to protect Master!" IC: Tear - Gym Tear glared at Crate for a few moments longer before releasing him. "Icarax's meaningless titles give you no power over me," he says as he walks away a few steps. OOC: Just wanted to apologize for the pretty blatant autohit there. Dane and I worked it out offsite.
  8. IC: Tube - Gym "Yay, I am VIP! I'm VIP!" Tube jumped enthusiastically, shouting perhaps a little too loudly. Until they made a sudden realization. "What does VIP mean?" IC: Tear - Gym His eyes still burned with rage as the walls of the maze appeared around them. For a moment though, there was something else to take his mind off of his mistakes in joining this team. There was Icarax, huge, powerful, and very close. Tear kept his face as adverted as he dared while the Makuta gave them their instructions. Mother's hatred had mostly been directed toward Tridax, but he still wouldn't like being associated with her by another Makuta. And then Icarax was gone, and it took a moment for Tear to process that the name Icarax had given them corresponded to the very Rahk who had tormented him before. And the smug little Brakas had the nerve to gloat. Before he quite knew what he was doing, his hand shot out toward Crate's neck, shoving him back against a wall. "You will obey my every word," he hissed, the tone a threat in and of itself. IC: Reda - Gym "I don't..." That was as far as she got before she suddenly found herself within Icarax's maze with Waiata's name ringing in her mind. She shot a quick smirk in Pyle's direction before looking over the group as a whole. "We stay close, and move out in search of others. We don't want to wait around for someone else to get the jump on us."
  9. IC: Tear - Gym For a moment, Tear just blinked in surprise. And then the anger came back unbidden. "No! You don't get to walk away that easily!" Tear shouted as he followed Crate. "If anyone gets hurt on this assignment because of your inaction, I will kill you myself!"
  10. IC: Tear - Gym Tear knew right in that moment that this Rahk was going to be a problem. If he couldn't be straightened out now, he would tear this team apart. His eyes never wavered under Crate's glare, and he made his own step forward that nearly brought their faceplates together. "And what happens when your back lines become not so safe? Can I count on you to 'distract' your way around a blade, 'distract' the attackers before they kill us? You are a liability until you learn to get your hands dirty. Is that clear?" He allowed a degree of anger to heat his words. It was easy as he looked down on the pitiful specimen that, had this school been as Mother had said, would have been crushed long before now.
  11. Not too difficult, I think. It would just take a little bit of lining up the vertices again after I had moved them around to provide enough material there. I never thought of those as holes though, just... paint, I guess.
  12. IC: Tube - Gym "Oh no, I found it on my hand!" IC: Garrotte - Gym She nodded to Vlad, but couldn't help but remark, "You are strange." IC: Tear - Gym Tear's eyes narrowed. "Not if we're going to have to drag your useless armor through the assignment."
  13. IC: Tube - Gym Tube quickly found their Master again and held out the rope. "Here is rope, Master! The shiny one told me to give this to you so I don't break anything else. Oh, and I have this!" With their other hand, they launched another bolt from Thornpierce toward a far corner of the ceiling. There was only the faintest clatter of impact before the bolt returned to its place again. IC: Tear - Gym Crate's showmanship earned only the minutest raise of an eyeplate from Tear. "Adaptation, level two," he replied simply. IC: Garrotte - Gym "Oh," Garrotte replied. "I am afraid of the dark." IC: Reda - Gym "That is Pyle," Reda nodded toward him, "and I am known as Reda." She then turned to look at Waiata expectantly. "Waiata?"
  14. IC: Tube - Armory "Okay!" Tube hopped up and ran to the door, had a second thought, ran back, grabbed the rope, and then out again toward their Master. IC: Tear - Gym "Door and I are well acquainted," Tear explained, giving his ally a nod. "However, you two are unknown to me. I would be interested to know of your qualifications."
  15. Honestly, that's a good practice to keep in mind anytime. Goods and Services leaves the PayPal charges to the seller, who can bump up the price a little if they're worried about it. And although I've never heard of it happening personally, I hear rumors that you can get into hot water using Friends and Family for purchasing products. Just something to keep in mind beyond buyer protection.
  16. IC: Reda - Gym Reda was so caught up in searching the nearby students for probable recruits that she didn't notice Slif's approach until he spoke to Pyle. She turned around and looked up at him... and up, and up. This Rahk was massive, and there was certainly something unsettling about him beyond that. "Oh, I believe you'll do just fine," she cut in before Pyle could open his mouth. IC: Tube - Armory Tube thought back. Hard. When had the shiny glove gotten on their hand? "I... I took it... from a Matoran. Do you think Master would like it?" IC: Garrotte - Gym "You are afraid of the dark?" Garrotte asked, sounding genuinely curious as much as she sounded like anything.
  17. IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam He hissed softly and glared at Era. Might as well tell him they were sent to stop him... IC: Garrotte - Gym Garrotte just nodded, as if accepting this answer. IC: Tube - Armory Tube was quietly staring at the spiked gauntlet on their hand, the gears turning in their head almost audibly. Slowly, they raised their hand and flexed a finger, and another dart shot out and embedded in a shelf with a rattle of weapons. Shortly afterward, the dart disappeared and reappeared on their hand.
  18. IC: Hoto - Village of Kaam Hoto's breath caught as the room filled with the sickening sound of stone on stone. As it finally fell into silence, she asked softly, "How did you do that?" IC: Tube - Armory Tube quickly got to work looking for the requested items. A pile of chain links caught their attention, but as they reached for it, some kind of projectile triggered. Tube let out a yelp as a long metal spike ricocheted from the chain, throwing sparks in their face. The bolt embedded in the ceiling, and then promptly disappeared with Tube staring at the rapidly-filling hole it had left. IC: Garrotte - Gym Something didn't make sense about Vlad, and with his explanation Garrotte was finally able to put her claw on it. "Your variation... what is it?" IC: Reda - Gym Approaching them was a rather loudly colored Derahk with a disappointingly cheerful countenance. But where she lacked Pyle's malice, Reda could see a redeeming quality in her weapons and the strength with which she wielded them. Perhaps these two would be... satisfactory. "I am Reda, champion of Stelt and greatest warrior in the land. If you join with me, you will not be disappointed."
  19. IC: Hoto - Village of Kaam Hoto cautiously followed Johmak inside, her clickers echoing in the small room as she tried to make sense of the area. IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam "Should we tell them why we're here?" Fang added softly. IC: Tube - Gym "See?" Tube grinned at Paladin. "Thurstaz is a good Master." And with that, they moved toward the Armory to do as he said. IC: Reda - Gym "Show me to this partner of yours, and if she seems... above average, I may consider joining you." IC: Garrotte - Gym She pulled a greenish capsule from her belt. "My poison is good for sticky traps... not so much for poisoning."
  20. IC: Fang - Forest of Kaam Fang wheeled around to see... another Rahkshi. He glanced at the others questioningly. The leader of the Hand was a Rahkshi of Adaptation, right? Could this be him? IC: Reda - Gym "That depends," Reda replied, hands on her hips. "What do you and your partner offer me?" IC: Tube - Gym Tube turned and followed their Master, but not before cracking their faceplates and flopping their Kraata mouthparts with a rude noise reminiscent of someone sticking their tongue out.
  21. IC: Reda - Gym Reda landed steadily and smirked at the new arrival. "Your sibling has much to learn in respecting proper authority."
  22. IC: Reda - Gym Well, perhaps he would have collided with her if she wasn't prepared. But Reda was always prepared. As Luffy snapped forward to meet her, Reda leapt over him with assistance from her Dodge powers and aimed a kick at his back. IC: Tube - Gym "Can I please mash her?" Tube begged their Master. IC: Tear - Gym Across the gym he met eyes with what seemed to be a sphere with legs. And she waved at him. Tear raised an eyebrow, scoffed, and moved his focus elsewhere. OOC: You saw nothing. Definitely didn't reply in the wrong group.
  23. IC: Reda - Gym She hardly budged. Instead, she gave him about three seconds to reconsider, and then she struck. With whips coiled around her palms, she snatched the hand on her shoulder and pulled, driving the thorns into Luffy's rubbery skin and awaiting his snap back toward her. IC: Tear - Gym "And now, we wait for other groups to manage to do what we have." He surveyed the room... partially to avoid eye contact with Crate. Tear didn't like the way he was staring at him.
  24. IC: Reda - Gym As the tension began building within Luffy's arm, Reda came to a cold stop. Without turning around, she hissed, "I see you don't understand how things work, so I'll give you this one warning. Let go." She'd deal with whatever his slimy friend was doing when she got to it.
  25. IC: Tear - Gym "Excellent," Tear said, looking over them appraisingly. "Floor, Crate," he gives a nod to each in turn, "I imagine we will do quite well." IC: Garrotte - Gym The corner of Garrotte's mouth tweaked upward in what could have been a sheepish grin. "Last time I did a game like this back home, I tripped our group leader so he lost. There was a good deal of running after that..." IC: Reda - Gym "It's simple, because I'm the best," she smirked. "I'm better than everyone, especially gargling snotballs like you. And over there, I see talent, so if you'll excuse me..." She started walking away, giving Booger a wide berth to avoid soiling her armor.
